Finally got my PCs up and running

Jennifer "Sparks" Svarowski
Aliases: Jenny, Sparks
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Redhead with short hair, freckles, and green eyes. Slightly stocky appearance. Has the symbol of the BoS tattooed on her left shoulder.
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 132 lbs
Faction: Brotherhood of Steel
Backstory: Jenny's ancestors first came to America in 1945 after the chaos of World War 2 had settled in Europe. They quickly became hardworking Americans, partaking in the American Dream. Jenny's grandparents had joined the US Army prior to the Fall, and had been part of the original Brotherhood of Steel when it was forming. Her parents were also proud devotees of the Brotherhood, taking their only daughter, Jennifer, with them when the were assigned to the new BoS chapter in the remains of New York City.

Jennifer grew up a firm believer in the Brotherhood of Steel's tenets, with an almost instinctive love of technology since youth. She also proved particularly headstrong and wilfull, taking her own path when it became clear to her elders it was better to humor her than to oppose her, as long as she wasn't breaking any important rules. She was a strong believer in using the power of technology to enlighten the Wastelands, to bring back the lost civilization of centuries past. One day, she was sent out on a quest to prove her mettle as a BoS initiate; seek any and all technological artefacts, and bring as much as she can back to the Brotherhood's headquarters for study and analysis. If not, she was to make detailed records of her findings.

However, as she walked out into the wide world, she realized she had little skill or knowledge about life in the Wasteland, having been sheltered by the Brotherhood and living most of her youth among machinery and electronics. To her luck, she found a traveling young man who offered to be her guide.

Gabriel James Walker
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, athletic if slightly thin appearance
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 139 lbs
Faction: Wastelander
Backstory: Gabriel is a child of the Wastelands; strong, adaptable, and cunning. Growing up on his parents' farm, he was a solid, dependable person, with a rather magnetic personality and skill with medicine and disease. To protect the farm, he would often hunt nuked pooches and other wasteland monsters, using an old rifle and skill. Yet he dreamed of bigger things beyond the edge of the farm, and from time to time he would wonder about the outside world and the Old World.

However, on his 13th birthday, tragedy struck. His youngest sister caught a strange sickness while she was out in the farm. Some say she was stung by a venomous creature, others said it was a disease that had mutated in the Wasteland's radiation. Either way, while she was fortunately not infectious, she was sinking fast. No herbal concoction nor the limited medical repertoire of the local clinic could do anything to save her, and within a fortnight, she was gone after being delerious from pain and fever. The incident changed Gabe's life for good, and he promised to be a doctor. Leaving his older sister and younger brother to run the farm with their parents, he set off to Liberty City, seeking medicines and the secret of being a doctor, so that nobody would ever get sick again.

Along the way, he found a young redhead struggling to get help from others regarding directions to a town, and offered to help her. While she initially found it suspicious, he proved he was a gentleman with no ulterior motives. He just likes to help people. Along the way, they became fast friends.

Okay then, will work on my character a bit more, will try and get her sheet done ASAP.
Decided to join this interesting RP, if you'll have me. Here are my current list of candidate PCs:
  • Type: Mage
    Age: 17
    Element: Crystals
    Concept: (unsure)
Personality: Basically a prim and proper lady from the West who will use a high school student as her cover.
Spells: A wide variety of abilities related to controlling crystalline substances or gems. Can generate shields, traps, traditional attack spells, and can even turn crystals into magic-filled fragmentation grenades. Higher-tier magic is basically summoning a Crystalline golem for short periods of time.
  • Type: Mage, sort of
    Age: 16
    Element: Nature/Plants
    Concept: Growth or Healing
Personality: Cheerful bubbly, and rather quirky at times. She also refuses to wear shoes unless she has to.
Spells: Generally nature- or plant-related. While she can use animals as 'spies' or can even impose a small amount of control over them, she specializes in plant- and wilderness-based spells, like entangling roots, summoning large thorn bushes, clouds of poison pollen for various effects, and using plants for defense and offense. Her higher-tier spell includes awakening trees as treants for a short amount of time to fight for her.
  • Type: Mage (again, sort of)
    Age: 23
    Element: Fire
    Concept: Purification
Personality: Helpful and friendly, but also dutiful and somewhat strict. He is a priest sent by the Catholic Church to observe the tournament, though some of his superiors have also given him orders to win the tournament for the Church.
Spells: Mostly buff/debuff as he is heavily a short- to mid-range fighter with some basic fireballs and fire ranged attacks. Mostly, he uses fire to act as damage fields, boost his attacks, and 'burn away' any special statuses his opponents may create, whether beneficial or otherwise.
Finally managed to get a post in, partially due to procrastination, partly because the guild keeps crashing. Hope it works.
"Well, that certainly sounds like a good idea," Jake mused. He was trying to think of how he could pose as a supplier of wood or other materials to the premise, when something was bothering him.

"Wait, something's off..." Jake turned around, trying to take a quick head count of the group. "Where's... someone's missing...! Where's Ascot?! Anyone seen Ascot?!"
and posted. My sincerest apologies for the extreme delay.

As for Jake's group, not so much "lost" as "went their own ways". Unless you can think of a good hook for them to act as NPCs/quest hooks/trainers.
"Well, I'm not exactly a newcomer," Jake replied to Yukio. However, he didn't say much, for whatever reason.

Later on, after Yukio left, Jake pondered something.

"Well, I could pose as a manual laborer to smuggle you guys in with shipments of towels or whatever supplies the bathtub could need - I'm clearly not going to pass off as a girl, no matter how I try."
Sorry for the delay, people, it's been a rough couple weeks, and the past week in particular had me send my laptop for repairs. It's back now, so time to get back to posting, I guess.

However, a bit of a concern; I'm beginning to wonder what Jake's role in this is beyond "cool older guy". Is he superfluous to the plot, or does he serve a purpose?
Jake sighed and shook his head.

"Yeah, sorry about that. We've just had a rough day. Probably wasn't thinking straight."

He turned his attention to Thomas' arm.

"Damn, Thomas, that doesn't look too good. I think we need to patch that up - hell, the sooner we get that looked at, the better. What the hell happened to it?"
OOC: Guess I getter get another post going. this silence is eerie.

IC:
Before Vanellope could answer, Jake turned to Thomas.

"I think Ascot has a point there, Thomas," he said. "We got trashed pretty easily, and we need to figure out strategy and planning from now on. That's what a real leader is about."
