Relationship with godly ancestor: Camille has a decent relationship with her mother, though Hecate tends not to come to New Celestia as often as other deities.

Relationship with mortal parent: Camille's father Robert is a little bit distant; he found who Camille's mother really was at the same time she did, and never quite adjusted to it. He still lives in New Orleans where he does stage magic at one of the casinos, but makes certain to call Camille every Saturday.

Powers: Camille can sense magic, but it requires a calm mind. She can tell what direction a magic source is located, as well as roughly how far away, how powerful, and even get general information about what type of magic it is. She is also telekinetic, and can lift about 250 lbs.

Personality: Camille is a kind-hearted girl, always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needs it. She's a bit vain, though she doesn't like admitting it. She's a sophomore at the Academy, where she's known as a mediocre student in mortal subjects, and a little bit better at magical things.

Bio: For the first 14 years of her life, Camille was mostly normal. Sure, she often saw strange things out of the corner of her eyes, but it was never obvious. Whenever she asked about her mother, her father told her that she had left when Camille was a baby, not really ready for what having a child entailed. On her fifteenth birthday, Hecate appeared before them, telling the truth of Camille's parentage. They were both stunned, but started to come to terms with it. Camille departed for New Celestia soon after, with a tearful kiss from her father.
Not here, but another site. GM doesn't show up for days on end, constantly misses deadlines by miles, co-GMs are just as useless, and when I call them on it, I "have a bad attitude." It's at the point where I'm really tempted to start a competing RP just to show the incompetent how to do it.

We've all heard the stories of the ancient gods. Zeus, Odin, Brahma, Ra- and their hated enemies, too. Kronos, Loki, and hundreds, if not thousands, of others. Thing is, they're not just stories. The gods of old are very real, as are their foes. How do I know this? Simple, I've got a little bit of godly blood in my veins- and you do, too.

The city of New Celestia. About an hour outside Houston, this city hidden from mortal eyes houses demigods of every flavor and pantheon. Some are children of the gods themselves, while others are a few generations further removed from divinity. They all live together, more or less in harmony, but the foes of the gods are becoming more active, banding together. It will take god and demigod alike to weather the coming storm.

About New Celestia

The city houses demigods from all over the world. Most come at the request of their divine ancestor, although they aren't forced to and there's one or two demigods located in most major cities worldwide. Mortal parents can live in New Celestia, but they can't get invites into Olympus, Asgard, etc.- you need to be supernatural yourself to survive the trip there. Grandchildren and further down of the gods are a thing, and playable, but they get weaker the more generations removed they are.

The city is divided into four segments. In the north, you have the residential section, which obviously is where everyone lives. Some neighborhoods have a large population from one pantheon, while others are more mixed. In the east is the Grand Market, where demigods sell magical and mundane items alike. The south is largely reserved for New Celestia Academy, which teaches basic and supernatural subjects from kindergarten through college. This also has a large arena for practice battles. The west is home to the Temple of the Gods, a building that's far bigger on the inside than its already-imposing outside, and contains shrines to every god separated by pantheon.

The city is run by the Grand Council, a group of demigod leaders comprised of one member from each pantheon, selected by vote among the demigods of that pantheon. Usually, the winner is a respected elder, but they have been known to step aside for younger demigods who show great power and heroism or earn the respect of a major god.

So, I think this is a pretty straightforward roleplay. We'll be playing demigods in both slice-of-life and questing situations. Now, before I get to the rules, let me make one thing very clear- this is NOT a Percy Jackson/Riordanverse roleplay in any way shape or form, though we may take elements of it out of necessity. With that out of the way, I present the rules.

Rule #1- I am GM, what I say goes.

Rule #2- No godmodding- the only omni your demigods should be is omnivorous

Rule #3- Keep OOC arguments from spilling into the IC. I've seen this happen, and it ain't pretty.

Rule #4- Actual old pantheons only. Sorry, Cthulhu fanboys. If your chosen ancestor is obscure, I may ask you for a reference, like Wikipedia.

Rule #5- Make sure your demigod's powers line up with their ancestor. I don't want to see any super-strong children of Aphrodite unless you can give me a really good reason.

Rule #6 (The most important by far)- Have fun!

I am interested but have one slight question. Often those that are enemies of gods are gods themselves, do they get to live with the gods or not?


Depends on which gods. Ares and Athena? They get along just fine if they aren't actively on different sides of a war. Set will listen to Horus and Ra, but he's definitely not happy about it. Loki and the Aesir? Not a chance, no matter how many times Loki helped them in the past.
