The world of Teyvat sees an age of increased prosperity as the Electro nation of Averton launches the age of industry, where man steps away from the providence of gods and spirits, and instead by their own hands, takes hold of their own futures. Yet, not every person in this new age seeks to create a future for the good of all, there are those who seek selfish ends with the new technology, only focused on the benefits that they alone will experience.

The many peoples of this diverse land experience a myriad of problems, as does every age of civilization does. Rebellions, whispers of war, conspiracy surrounding the rich and powerful, and lawless lands seeking order. Way of life in this Teyvat can be unclear, especially for those living on the fringes. Those who hold Visions considered the last envoys of the Archons.

Geo Chapter
Red-Gold Rivers in the Desert Sand

The great Sea of Dunes that encompasses more than 90% of Al-Marabar stretches on endlessly, the sands constantly shifting like a great big sea. In the distance one might see one of the many sand ships wandering the sands, some as small as fishing boats, as big as galleys, or even ones owned by the most powerful Sand Pirate crews, as big as small towns and cities. Among these is the capital, headed by the Sand King Axon, and his crew, the Burning Suns. The newly crowned Sand King is one who loves the gladiatorial combat the region is known for, encouraging other large crews to build their own arenas, and giving prisoners more chances to prove themselves. The many events and tournaments have proven to be enjoyable for the peoples of the region, and even career gladiators have begun emerging among the prisoners, some may even refuse freedom to fight for longer.

Of course, not all are happy with the new King, particularly the Aldugan Spines, a large sand pirate group that had always opposed Axon and his brother, the former Sand King. Whisperings of late have connected them to people from Averton, but whisperings and rumors will remain so, until the veil is lifted, and those daring would dare try to find the truth.

The beginning of this chapter starts on the Sand King's ship and by extension capital city, Zweidaya. Axon the Sand King, holds a grand tournament gathering all of the Sand Lords in the realm together to present their best gladiators to determine the strongest. To the winning city goes great riches directly from his coffers. As the grand gladiatorial battles take place, a conspiracy begins to brew.

Playable Races

In Regards to Half-Races

This is a case-by-case basis, however the ones that are decidedly not possible as a half are Noble Beasts, Cryptids, Beastmen, and Elves. The latter two are already technically partially human, the former two occur in very unnatural ways where they do not breed like regular races.

If you have questions, please bring them to me.

Technology

@Teyao Miraculously, your character is pretty good, and there's not an awful lot to say, but let's see here...

First is the culture of the Jotun, which for the most part is about right. They live in seclusion in order to practice their peaceful ways, despite their immense strength and physical superiority to humans, they are in the end a dwindling race. However, they are also pretty wary of the ways of the world outside, so some level of skepticism would be just right for your character.

Anyway yeah that's pretty much it, those skills and everything for combat make sense and don't sound overly powerful, in fact I actually think you need another technique that doesn't rely on having a Cryo user around. Ice Armor is cool and all, but you essentially cannot use it without a Cryo friend or an icy environment. You can note it gives him the uncanny ability to not be frozen in place by Cryo though, so he becomes immune to a status effect.

Otherwise I'd give him another something, or make Water Barrage have less drawbacks and be your bread and butter for offense. Really, up to you. Maybe something using his axe and shield too.

Anyhow seems good otherwise.
I think in at least another day. In the meantime I can drop this, pretty barebones discord let's be real. I've mainly been working on the main points of the story so it may seem quite slow for the time being.
@Vertigo That kind of thing is possible. The sand ships and boats already do something similar, so you'd just be using a much more compact version of the technology. How does the technology work you might be asking?

I... I don't know, I never thought about it, just that the thing exists.
Probably just my fault for not making an example character, which I will probably do, and make it for an NPC we will meet in Al-Marabar. Anyway...

@Enkryption

@Letter Bee
Probably best you just read what I just said about fighting style. Yours is pretty easy at least, it's kind of everything in a regular cowboy's skillset short of lassos and rifles. Everything else seems fine so far.
@EnkryptionMain Weapon and Secondary Weapon types have to be more specific. If melee, what class of melee weapon, and if ranged, what class of ranged weapon. Just to give an idea of some of the ranged weapon classes, here's a few; handguns, long rifles, bows, crossbows, heavy ordinance.

Since you've got a rail-shotgun that fires beanbags, you might as well be using a sniper rifle. So that'd be a long rifle.

Your fighting style should also be defined. I would like to note it doesn't have to encompass all your weapons, but if you can do it then go ahead. All you have there are the boons but not what the fighting style actually is.

Next is techniques. Shock and Awe is fine. Kirin's Eyes though, I wouldn't say are too powerful, because I can just slap a limit on it but it's just that clairvoyance is a whole other thing. Such precise clairvoyance even if it's just a dozen seconds into the future is pretty much in a different realm of power that she shouldn't have, even if it's via a curse from birth.

My suggestion if you want to keep an eye power, is that it's not her default state as described, but must be activated. The effect can be something like hyper-perception, where she can perceive incredible speeds, or... Something else if you have other ideas.

Ionizing Purity in a more practical sense would allow you to resist poison, you're free to add that if you like.

Anyhow, I do like a lot of the things here like the coven and such, it's actually not too far from what I'd consider a well-established coven seeped in tradition. My only note is that visions are rare, and masterless ones even rarer, as it's typical that a vision would disappear with the death of their user. And even if you found a masterless one, there's an incredibly slim chance it would resonate with a new user. So I actually suggest she had simply been granted one naturally via a pivotal point in her life.
I've added the playable races to the first post. Including their independents.

Just a reminder, the other 2 Independents are decided by me, based on your character's backstory and personality.

I also added a few more firearm-based technologies for those interested.
Then you're basically like 90% done because I actually decide the two other independents for you.

Anyway they're mostly done. I'll have them up later in the first post with all the races.
@Enkryption Almost done. It's been delayed because FFXIV.

Anyhow, depends. I suppose it comes down to shooting technique. Things lile stance, breathing, grip, and even cqc. Given it's a railgun, you might focus on accuracy and rely on landing the shots above all else.
That is a playable half race, so perfectly ok. They are a large stone-like people, so the parentage will be interesting. I'll leave that to you. You'll be a big guy but not as big, or as stony.
