Current Cleaning day! Made a ton of progress and even found my long lost DS and my missing laundry card that still has a lot of credits on it. Found it in my winter coat of all places go figure.

Finally got into D&D. Now I feel trapped and I am in love. Should I ask for help or ask where I can get more dice?

Breaks ups are weird. Not sure how to feel about the other person, or about yourself. It hurts for sure, but it's weird and uncomfortable just how different things seem now.

Kathryn wrapped her arms around herself for warmth. Though the barn was warmer than the outdoors and gave protection from the wind, outside had to be just a few hairs shy of freezing. Any warmth she could get was appreciated. Victoria and Marita seemed keen on sharing what information they could share, which left Kathryn a little left out as the most helpful bit of information she had snagged was from Rickard. Victoria did add a comment or two about what would make this place a rather nice place to live. "I mean yes, we could cook out own food Kosara, but I have little idea how to cook much better than..." She paused, trying to think of the best thing she could cook. "Mashed potatoes and eggs really... Maybe bacon? So a fully staffed kitchen would be wonderful." What Kosara had to add about the municipal building was interesting. Strict in and out traffic? Could be worth investigating. Maybe they know more then they are letting on? "Something decent to note for sure, maybe something we can check out on the 'morrow? As well, whatever is causing the disappearances doesn't appear to be a class thing. Rickard mentioned the person he was tracking was a business owners son. And unless Audrey was also of an upper class of some kind whatever is taking them doesn't seem to care. It's hard to tell without extremes to compare, nobles, lords, government aids. Things like that, but it's worth some follow up looking." She may have been a bit shit faced, but her thinker was still intact.

Marita read off the list of those who went missing so far. Mostly working class of some kind, and a couple from the owning class. "The paranoid feeling is good to know." She wondered if Hugh was feeling paranoid before he went missing? The man seemed to be cautious none the less. "Is it safe to say that a lot of these people knew, or at least suspected something was going to happen? Maybe they all saw something they weren't supposed to see? And whatever they saw is trying to clean up loose ends?" She thought more on her class theory, remembering many nobles considering even many in the owning class to be on the same level as those working. Maybe it wasn't the best base to work from. "We could try investigating the streets after hours, paired up so we can see what we can find. Maybe follow Audrey's route home and see if there is somewhere that seems... off." She briefly wondered if it was worth setting a trap, but that would require bait. Bait being either one of the party members, or some unsuspecting local. Both lines she wasn't comfortable crossing. She'd be open for using herself as bait, but fully armored and armed, Kathryn was an imposing threat.

The party made their way out one by one, Victoria leaving first of their group. Rickard and Kosara going at it for a while over their supposed pregnancy. Once sobered up Kathryn would need to clear this up with the poor tiefling, at the moment she wasn't sure she could get her words across as needed without making things worse. "Good night Victoria, be seeing ya in da morning." Rickard soon gave his intentions to to rest as well, timed rather well with last call to get the hell out. "Take care lads." Kathryn spoke, giving them a wave as they left taking with them Kosara's victim. "We'll meet up again once we get this all sorted out." Curly seemed to at least like the pity beer. So that helped Kathryn to be assured there were no hard feelings. Kathryn gave a good night wave to Rickard, giving him a sympathetic wave as the poor man had to deal with the brunt of Kosara's verbal punishment while Kathryn attempted to wrap her head around the whole situation with minimal success.

With the departure of Marita that left Kosara and Kathryn the last of their party to remain within the public house. "Yeah let's go." Kathryn spoke to Kosara as the small tiefling ran off, Kathryn walking behind her. "You should really go easier on Rickard. He's a nice enough lad. As well, he may know a thing or two about our current job." Kathryn spoke in a dull tone before making her way entering the hayloft with Kosara. Waiting for them, Marita. Kathryn expected to be called out for her rather aggressive drunkesness, as well as her minimal progress on the job. So far, all she had was Rickard as a possible lead, and that Robert was less then cooperative with helping. Starting points that she had failed to follow up on. No matter how it went, no more drinking until the job was done. "Don't suppose you have had better luck then myself?" Kathryn asked Marita, hoping that maybe the cleric had obtained something while working with the staff.

Kathryn took note of Victoria's disappointment to Kathryn not chugging the wine. The half giant of a woman gave a slight chuckle and gave her a sly smile. She spoke in a hushed tone leaning in close to Victoria. "Get me another one of these once we finish this quest, we'll drink and party like you've never seen." At this moment though it was a fight to keep her words coherent and to walk without tripping over her own feet. But what better way to celebrate a quest well done shy of chugging wine?

After Kosara shattered the creep's balls she joined the group to have a nice conversation. Marita as well as Robert were less then pleased with the events that took place. Though Robert said nothing about it, Marita had a few words to say. Though the woman had very sound and very solid logic, Kathryn's ability to reason had taken a break for the night. "Though... Seems he did Deserve it nah?" A more sober Kathryn would have agreed with Marita. If the party was to dish out physical punishments it would have to be in self defense situations. If the party came across as aggressors now it would only cause them additional problems. "Ya should listen to Marita, Kosara. She is... very smart woman."

With Lawrence's and Curly's return the trio was back together as tipsy as ever. They seemed about readyt o wrap things up but as a whole the group seemed to be game for a later gathering. Maybe it could be tied into a future celebration? "So, what's with... Sprinkles?" Kathryn asked the trio still standing over the table passing Curly his pitty Ale with a look that said "Just take it." She held an apologetic look on her face as she pointed to her own forehead, then his, then the floor where he collided at full speed. "When I get me job here all wrapped up, we'll have ourselves a grand old time!" Last call for food reminded Kathryn she hadn't eaten any form of dinner yet today. She figured she could order something for the way out if need be, snack on it as she crashed for the night.

Kosara soon had her own thoughts to add about Kathryn's new Mate. It took Kathryn way too long to register what Kosara was saying, she was flabbergasted and had clearly mistook what Kathryn had meant to say. Kathryn was increasingly red in the face as Kosara went on to asked excitedly about when she was expecting, and then went on to set the tone with Rickard. "I... uh... uhm...." Kathryn struggled to comprehend where Kosara had jumped to. "...kiddies... kiddies..." She spoke confused as if she was couldn't make meaning of the word. She then looked downwards grabbing a large section of her chain mail that protected her stomach area with both hands. "Have I really gotten that big?" She had been worried about her weight for a bit. Though someone her size could eat close to whatever she wanted she had become quite a heavy drinker after the death of Ser Lucas, and she had noticed a bit of weight gain. But she didn't think it was a lot, just something to keep note of. But if Kosara was pointing it out? She let go of her chain mail face red, eyes wide, and doing her best to hide her embarrassment. Dinner could be skipped tonight.

Kosara and Marita were first to tend to the man Victoria had walked in over. As he woke up and was checked over, Victoria vaguely explained the man was due much worse punishment then whatever she had done to the recently comatose man. Kosara replied in kind with a kick that made even Kathryn wince. "Aye, she's a friend." She paused a moment being briefly reminded of the conversation about her friendship with Kosara and gave a bit of a drunken chuckle. "You could say, really good friends." She said with a smirk on her face before returning to her many, many drinks. That is when Kathryn realized she had definitely put herself in a weird situation for drinks tonight. It was to the point where even Victoria had taken a bit of her wine likely under the assumption that Kathryn was done drinking tonight. "'Ey, not done. Just.... Not getting more at the moment." She spoke with a joking tone to assure she didn't really care if Victoria enjoyed herself a drink. "But alas, it seems I have a few to spare. Though that'd be the expensive stuffs." To emphasis her point, Kathryn grabbed the decanter and debated downing some of it as if it was a mug of beer, and decided against it realizing she still had beer to finish. Putting the wine back she grabbed herself one of her now many beers and ales, and brought it up for a drink, and rather then sip it she continued to drink from the mug until it was empty to the bottom.

Kathryn greeted Kosara with a smile and slide her some ale before speaking up. "Welcome back Kosara. I've personally had a pretty crazy night. Got a few dead ends on the job, made some friends, put one in a coma, he came out worried about sprinkles, and drank waaaaaaay too much. Whatever you do, don't follow my example. And, made some friends with the locals." She spoke as if she was having the night of her life. "And! Met a mate who may be able to help us with our goblin problem. The one with the missing peoples." She grabbed Rickard's shoulder and shook it briefly to emphasis the elf she was talking about.

It seemed Victoria and Rickard were getting along rather well to add to tonight's lovely events. She took note of Victoria speaking and struggled to process the words at first, only to realize part way in that she was speaking Elvish. Most of Kathryn's speakings with Elvish were when she was a little girl and still lived at home. But it had come in handy from time to time with clients that Ser Lucas had to interact with. The poor old knight didn't know a word in Elvish. Kathryn didn't acknowledge the exchange outside of a brief "Look at you Ms. Fancy Pants with all the prestigious words." To Victoria's comment on the wine itself? Kathryn simply replied "Aye" which sounded a bit off as her dialect in common didn't always translate well in Elvish. Kathryn gave Victoria a bit of a knowing smile before lifting her drink as if to give cheers.

Kathryn then noticed the lone Maurice who after his friends had left had found himself alone in the center of the table. "Hey uh... I'll be right back." she spoke to the group as a whole. Not wanting to leave the man abandoned and alone for the night Kathryn grabbed what would have been Curly's ale and stood up walk over to the man, stopping briefly to catch herself as she lost balance for the briefest of moments. Continuing once she was stable she walked over to the table and gave Maurice the ale. "Sorry for how the night went mate. You think Lawrence's sprinkles will be okay?" She spoke clearly trying to contain a giggle or two. Jokes aside, she was worried a bit for the man. She panicked earlier and fled to the bar and hadn't returned until after the man she accidentally beat down woke up and fled like his house was on fire. "We should meet up again at some point before the festive end, have a real night of celebration with a bit less assault on out hands." She spoke shyly.

Kathryn listened to Rickard Barriden as he spoke. "It's nice to meet you Rickard. And yeah.. The goblins are a bit of a problem here." Kathryn wanted to tell the man more, but she wasn't sure how much to disclose to him. At least not without the rest of the party's consent. "Where I do appreciate the offer of compensation it's not needed. We're here to help where we can. And, we're already being paid for our time here. But maybe we can help each other out? Pool our combined knowledge and see what we can get out of it? Maybe some of our pieces can fit your puzzles and vice versa." Who knew, maybe the man could speak and read goblin? That would solve their letter issue. Plus maybe Rickard had some pieces that Kathryn and the rest of the party could help piece together. She'd get input from the others and see what she could take from it.

A body fell through the door to the public house. In a moment of instinct caused by rigorous training through Kathryn's life she stood up and turned to face the door axe drawn in her hand. She prepared to hold the doorway using nothing but throwing axes and the mass of her aging armor only to be stunned by her mini half elf friend standing in the doorway giggling with her hand covering a portion of her face. As if what she did was just any other cute little joke. Slowly sliding her axe back into it's loop Kathryn watched the bardling step over the out cold man and walk up to the bar. Kathryn watched Victoria speak while she seemed to ignore everything that just happened and started to wonder if this was something that happened a lot to the woman. "Uh... around... Marita is working with locals. And I thought Kosara and Hugh went off with you?" Kathryn paused when Victoria offered her a drink. "Ya know... I've had a few drinks already. I'll take ya up on that offer some other time..." Still trying to process what happened to the man on the floor. In a moment of clarity Kathryn turned to notice Rickard and her train of thought returned to her. "Oh, Victoria! This is Ser Rickard Barriden. And he may have some information on our goblin problems. Figured we could help each other out with them and all."

It didn't take much for Kathryn to hear Kosara come in with her attempts to assist the downed man. Kathryn considered offering up some of her remaining alcohol, but decided against it. If Victoria had knocked out the man there was probably a reason. That didn't change her thoughts on wondering what exactly the bard had done to the man. Kosara had then resorted to slapping the man silly until he awoke. So far, no progress, and Kathryn was beginning to worry what the man's face would look like post beating from their tiefling friend. "Kosara, it may just be time to let the man sleep. Facial reconstruction wont help his night much either." Kathryn said in a mildly concerned tone. She also didn't want to risk the man being someone dangerous and having to risk flattening him again. The only question then would be who does it?

Kathryn had a lot to process. She had accidentally sent curly into the floor with a mini coma, she found herself face to face with Robert the barkeep who at this point he was less then pleasant to deal with. Then? Some strange man had come up to her. Not directly, ordering a drink first, then Initiating a conversation as a rapid followup. Kathryn chuckled briefly taking a sip of her drink. "Smooth transition Mate" She chuckled a bit more before realizing she spoke out loud. "Aye 'pologies about that. Had a few tah drink an' me thoughts are a wee bit un focused." She spoke in a bit of an embarrassed tone. At this point in the night giving up all efforts to keep her accent subtle. Though with how long she has been in the region and those around it her accent was starting to sound like a mix of both local and her former home. "BUt uh... yeah. Curly will be feelin' that for some time. Technically he's supposed tah give me a free beer for it, but I feel a wee bit bad about how hard he came down. I just thought that... Ya know... He wouldn't crash like a sack of bricks ya know?" What caught Kathryn off guard was her first lead that had stuck for the night. She was instantly regretting the amount of alcohol in her system but the shock of it was rather sobering. "Ya don't say? Looking for a mate..."

While distracted by her own thoughts Curly stood up screaming about... Sprinkles?! Kathryn grabbed her newly purchased beers and lifted them up. "Wait wait wait!" She spilled a bit more than intended trying to get the man's attention, but he was damn determined in his traumatic head injured state to go and make those sprinkles. The rest of the laborers were soon gone afterwards. "Fuckin'... Balls." Kathryn would do what she could to catch up tot he trio and try to make up the night to poor curly after what happened. In the mean time she sat down with her free beer, and Curly's pity beer. Returning to her seat she turned to face the new figure again. Getting a read on him was hard, either she wasn't as much of a people person as she thought, or she had way too much to drink. "Sorry about that... Uh... Crazy night. You said you knew someone who went missing? I'm not a local personally, but I was hired to help out some locals. There's a bit of a goblin problem going on, and after seeing some of the brutalities today, I am suspicious in their involvement with some other disappearances. Maybe they're related?" Though the elf had already ordered Kathryn had a spare beer now, so she passed the spare one towards the Rickard. Roberts came over to drop off their drinks, including the wine offered by Lawrence. "Thank you very much." She turned back towards Rickard. "As Robert's here has said, da name's Kathryn Pyke. Ser or Lady Kathryn Pyke, at your service." She paused, still deciding how professional to keep things in this conversation.

After taking a sip of her wine she faced him again. "But ya can just call me Kathryn. And I get what you mean about no one seeming to know anything." And she gave a less them subtle look over at Roberts. The man had been extremely resistant with giving her information. "But maybe we can help each other a bit? Pool the collective information and see what we got?" She paused again, realizing she forgot something. "Oh my bad, I didn't ask. What shall I call you?"

Kathryn at this point was pretty certain she had made friends with the locals. Though tonight was a bit less productive then she would have liked, she hoped that at the very least she was able to make things smoother during the rest of the investigation. "Aye, a rather strait forward job. But it pays the bills." Kathryn replied Lawrence on his comment about her work. "Let me tell ya, I appreciate any help you can offer." He seemed to put together the dots about herself, her new group, and the liberation of the win cart. As he praised her, she couldn't help but feel a tinge of guilt. They were too late to stop a body count. Kathryn accepted the wine with a smile on her face. She didn't want praise for the job. She saved booze, let her companion take a hit she didn't need to, and left with little remains of the man to be buried. Even now, her investigation had leaned away from being helpful. She hoped for better things as the night went on, but she had to step up her game in the following days. Kathryn gave a thanks to those who cheered, shook hands with those who came up gracefully, and was polite about the whole thing despite her thoughts on the situation.

It seemed Curly had an identical thought on wine as Kathryn did. Though Kathryn would drink the offering, wine of any kind was far from her favorite. "Ya sure you wanna do this mate?" But Curly had made up his mind, he wanted to win his free beer. Kathryn figured the way the night had gone both ways were a win. If he won, she'd likely be able to get these men to spill the beans about anything going on in town here. If she won, free beer. Kathryn removed her steel gauntlet again placing it on the table next to her wine.

The two locked hands and locked eyes. This time Kathryn double checked to make sure she was well positioned, she braced herself better then last time. And this time she made sure not to underestimate her opponent. She figured to knock him out of the match quick to avoid any sudden surprises. Normally she'd like a chance to wear down her opponents and catch them off guard, but now she had been drinking, a lot. And Curly had shown to be a rather powerful threat. The two gave a brief nod to each other and began. Curly's arm buckled under Kathryn's sudden display of vigor and athleticism. His elbow did not slip. His chair did not wobble. Curly's arm slammed down on the table in such a way that jerked him fully out of his chair, hitting the floor so hard it rattled his now empty mug off of the side, to clock him soundly on the side of his head. Wobbly and confused, he rose and managed to get out the words, "I take my tea with milk, thank you," before sitting heavily back into his chair, cross eyed. Maurice covers his losses by slapping coins on the table.

Soon after Curly hit the floor Kathryn had both of her hands up to her face as if to hide her embarrassment. "I'm. So sorry." She spoke as if she had suddenly sobered up. Kathryn wasn't sure anyone heard it as soon after the man had asked for milk with his tea the crowd that had showed up to watch began to cheer. Nothing to keep people happy and entertained like a grown man getting knocked out cold. Kathryn rushed her steel gauntlet back on and snacked the coins from the table. "I'll be... right back." And she rushed her way back towards the bar trying to grab Roberts attention. "Beer." She said in a semi panicked voice. "Please..." She spoke again after a bit of hesitation. This would likely have to be her last one for the night. Though she was not shy of getting into fights, she didn't particularly enjoy knocking out civilians for the hell of it. Given a moment to calm down, she'd check with the lot of them on the way out tonight. "Make it two. One for me and one for the lad who just kissed the floor."

So far Kathryn was enjoying her time. Was she making slow to no progress on her investigation? Yes. Was she drinking more then someone who was supposed to be working drinking? Also yes. Was she ready to drink more and have a great night with the locals? Absolutely. "You see that's why I had no intentions of getting out of this here chair. There happens to be two very nice ladies running about serving beer and food." Kathryn replied to Mr Ambitious with a big grin on her face implying that she just wanted to give the trio a hard time. Though when she looked around, she noticed Marita and the serving girl had left the main room. Good for them, it had been a long night for the duo. Kathryn hoped the worst was over for them. Though she had to admit she was feeling peckish.

It seemed Scowly was just having a long night, but she figured he'd warm up as the night moved on. "Nice to meet you Maurice and Curly. Everyone needs some drinking buddies." Kathryn greeted the two of them with a smile and a cheers motion emphasizing her first drink. Kathryn gracefully took drink number two from the last of the trio. "Thank you Lawrence." Once in hand Kathryn started work on her next drink. At the very least she was getting a fair amount of booze tonight. Curly seemed like he was warming up as well and seemed all for a rematch. Kathryn slammed down her half gauntleted hand with a loud thud then pointed said hand with an over exaggerated pointing jester. "There we go mates!" Kathryn said ready for this night to be a lot more enjoyable then expected. "Agreed. After this round. Loser buys the next. I look forward to the beer." Kathryn said with a big smile on her face.

Kathryn got to learn a bit about her new drinking mates while the lot of them drank their drinks. The trio seemed to cover a lot of general labor tasks without limiting them to any one specific field. Some of the labor even came across as semi skills and skilled labor to an extent which impressed Kathryn to hear. "Well you may have me beat in those areas. Couldn't tell you anything on bricks other then they get heavy. And are square. But it sounds like the lot of you have done close to everything in the field of manual labor." Soon after came Kathryn's turn with Maurice's questioning. "I happened to be working a job in the area assisting with the goblin problem. And just Kathryn works fine, the other titles just tend to get in the way of a relaxing evening. Unless you're trying to see if there is a special someone in me life. Then yes, Miss would apply." Kathryn took a rather large swallow of her beer before continuing. "As for stay, I have made some connections for housing while I sort out my job here. Nothing fancy, but it's private which with all the chaos going on I'll take." Kathryn wanted to share enough to keep the conversation going, but these were still new people to her. She didn't want to tell them all of her party's current state of affairs and find out that they were the cause of the disappearances.

Though unlikely, she wanted to err on the side of caution. "So, if ya notice any weird things going on or any goblins causing trouble, help a lass earn her pay for the week would ya?" Kathryn spoke not expecting the comment to go anywhere, but if the beer so far had helped looses anyone's lips maybe it would be enough of a hook for some information. "Sadly this week can't be all pleasure. It's a work week more then anything else. But if I can deal with the bastards quickly I may be able to enjoy the tail end of the things."

Things went better then they had any right to for Kathryn. She got herself some free beer to add to her nightly supply of beer. She made Friends introductions with the locals. And she figured that maybe they'd be a bit more cooperative now that things have eased up a bit. Plus, she had leverage. The bloody table. Once Scowly returned with Kathryn's beer the group sat at the table quiet as Kathryn started work on her drink. Kathryn figured after her moment in glory she should work a little better to ease tensions. "Name's Kathryn. Nice to meet you lot." She held out her hand to shake anyone willing to accept. "Mind if I ask ya names there? Mine's Kathryn." She figured the whole title with all names involved was not the way to get on these men's good side. Many people don't like being implied they are of a lesser class, especially after such a loss like Scowly had. Not that Kathryn would ever do that intentionally. Her found her titles and names worked well for talking to people in positions of power, but for the common folk it was better to be on the humbler side.

Kathryn would sit and listen quietly as the men spoke making sure to keep the bulk of her attention on them as they did so. When given the chance to speak up Kathryn asked "So are you locals? I just arrived in town and I was wondering what I could expect from Avonshire. And with work going well it seems like I'll be here for at least the festives." Plus, if they were locals maybe they had some more information that Kathryn was lacking and wouldn't be able to pull up on her own. Not at least until Robert was more willing to open up a bit more. Maybe Marita was having better luck then Kathryn at getting on the good side of the locals? At this point though Kathryn needed to be careful not to push too hard too fast. Getting on the good side of these men would be the best thing she could do before trying to push for some questions. Plus, who didn't want to open up to a friend about weird things happening in town? "If you're up for it, I'd be game for a rematch?" She spoke to Scowly when given the chance.

Watching around Kathryn didn't pick up too much of note, though she saw the spill that happened with poor Marita and wondered how the woman could handle it. The closest Kathryn had done to any kind of service work was guard duty for people with a lot more money then she could ever hope to have. Though Kathryn rarely tried to resort to violence as her first option, she was not against using it to anyone who couldn't take no for an answer. But Marita was holding her own rather well, Kathryn would offer the woman a drink when she was done with her shift. Then after thinking on it, she wasn't sure if the woman drank at all? Kathryn was also reminded she may not have been as observant as she thought as a comment was directed towards her, and she hadn't picked up who it came from until with were within a few steps distance. Had this been a combat situation, she could have found herself in a particularly bad situation. "w-what?" She registered the words as soon as she spoke, but she imagined it made her look like quite the fool in that moment.

Kathryn listened to the man talk, and then she understood where the resentment was. "Oh no no no, My apologies, I just assumed public house, any free seat was a free seat. It seems there is plenty of room for us all no?" She tried to give an innocent smile to it all. But it seemed the trio was having none if it. She noticed that one of the men was smiling towards her, and she had an odd feeling about what that may mean. Maybe he was just excited to see his friend arm wrestle a young girl? Either way, Kathryn had her own situation to sort out. And it seems peace was never an option. "If you're insistent, then sure. We got a deal." Kathryn adjusted herself while scowly took his seat across from her. Taking a moment to undo her armored gauntlet, then clasped hands with the laborer. Their hands had many comparisons, his were calloused and scared from likely years of intense manual labor. Kathryn's were calloused and scared from years in intense fighting. The most noticeable being Kathryn's scars were bigger.

The moment they locked hands and began to apply pressure Kathryn realized, she fucked up. She felt it in her shoulder, she was in a poor position to gain any considerable leverage with her strength. She could feel the strain against her shoulder and if this man was stronger then he looked, Kathryn applying too much force could cause some real harm to herself. The issue was now her pride was in the way of letting her just give up the fight. They held their grips for what felt like several minutes as both of them tried to force the other one down. Then Kathryn felt it, a slight give in the other man's push. Had Kathryn been clearly winning it she would have guessed the man was baiting her in, tricking her to give it her all and slam back when she wasn't prepared, but the man had the upper hand in this situation, even if only by a bit. Kathryn pushed hard against scowly with enough force that anyone with a lighter build may have to see a medical professional afterwards. She felt the push back at the last moment and worried that this whole thing was still a trick, but the recovery was too slow and the man's hand slammed down with a loud THUD against the wooden table. Cups shook, silverware jumped, there was an audible gasp from a woman the next table over. Kathryn was ecstatic! The moment the hands separated Kathryn grabbed her beer, chugged it, and threw her hands up in a cheer. "WOO!" Then she slammed her massive mug down on the table. "I'll be taking that beer lads." She spoke in her rather heavy foreign accent thrilled to have recovered from a situation she seemed like she had no right to win.

The man, Scowly had a look of shock and frustration on his face. He made some claims about slipping, but it seemed no one believed him. Kathryn wondered if that may be true and then saw an opportunity with these men. "How about this then? The table is a big too big for one girl to have to herself. Grab me my beer, and come join me for a seat. Table's big 'nough for the lot of us no?" She wondered if she could get these men to talk with her about local events better then the barkeep. And with the peace offering of sharing the table despite winning it to her lonesome, she hoped it was enough to ease tensions. Even if she suffered from some excessive celebration. It seemed making good with some locals could only help her situation. "And you." She pointed at Scowly with her ungloved hand. "If you're up for it, we can do a rematch over some more beer. Winner buys for the loser." If tensions eased, it could be a nice drinking game to get them more comfortable talking with her. "We can do same hands, or switch to lefties if ya like. I'm game either way." That part was a bit of a trap. Kathryn was ambidextrous. Though some tasks she preferred with specific hands, she was about equally coordinated with both hands.
