Screw it, maybe I can do it right this time.

Name: Heidi Williams

Alias: Prodigy

Position: Post-Doctorate level of education

Abilities/powers: Heidi possesses an incredibly hyper-intelligent mind, which gives her a perfect photographic memory and the ability to think and react far faster than a human should be capable of. She can often accurately process every possible outcome of a theoretical scenario using her knowledge of psychology (how a human or animal may act) and physics (how an object may act) to, in a sense, predict the immediate future.

The downside to this is that all her senses are in overdrive 24/7, and she can overthink the most basic of social interactions to the point where she copes by drowning her audio-visual senses with music and books, and by and large avoids social contact except when necessary.

Sex: Female

Age/Date of Birth: 15, 8/4/1984

General appearance:

Additional Appearance/costume: Prodigy's costume is simply a customised jumpsuit, altered to her measurements and dyed with turquoise and gold diagonal stripes. Om her right hand is a gauntlet that utilises similar technology to Tony Stark's Iron Man suit. Her own invention, of course.

Personality: Heidi is shy, reclusive and incredibly timid, but not unfriendly. Due to both her past, and the nature of her mutation, she is incredibly conscious of what other people think of her, both as a result of her direct actions during interactions, or just her reputation in general.

Heidi was raised to believe in mutant registration, a stance which she thoroughly believes in and defends to this day as the best path for everybody. She is also a believer that both body and mind should be used at their full potential, so will quietly judge people who slack off or abuse their bodies.

Special Skills: Heidi has Doctorates in physics, maths, psychology and electrical engineering, but her area of particular expertise is robotics. She also studies mixed martial arts, self defence, usage of firearms and runs as a hobby in order to keep her body in good condition should the need to run arise.

Place of birth: Edinburgh, Scotland

Weapon(s) of choice: Only her brain

Medical information: Hypersensitivity, social anxiety

Brief History: Heidi was brought up in a family who strongly believed in mutant registration, a view which she shared and still does to this day, but when her mutations began to manifest, her family and those in their circle suddenly branded her as dangerous and shunned her whole family. She was constantly aware that she was resented as long as she stayed there.

So she travelled to America. Unlike others who shared her views, she thought Xavier's school was a wonderful institute and was not some threat to the world. In fact, she believed that mutant registration, followed by a worldwide drive to make more schools like Xavier's, that taught young mutants how to control and accept their powers, was the future. Unfortunately she could find no allies with this philosophy. Any other pro-reg crowds either shunned her for being a mutant, or being sympathetic to untrained mutants who could accidentally cause death or destruction, whereas any other independent crowds of mutants shunned her for her pro-reg views, or her age, as all of this occurred before her 12th birthday.

She was eventually found and contacted by Xavier's school itself, and finally found a place she wasn't shunned.

Relatives: Her disgraced scottish pro-reg parents, though the X-men are her only family now.
I'm not sure I have enough free time over the next few days to become Co-GM. Then again, I don't think I have enough free time over the next few days to make a CS either.

I also might put Prodigy on the back burner and make a character with a power that's easier to write (For a hyper-intelligent mutant, Heidi did not think things through very often. There's an RP saying that a supposedly smart character is only as smart as the writer can be.)
It's ironic. I'm really familiar with x men lore but haven't seem Days of Future Past or Apocalypse yet.
Tempted to have an older Prodigy act as staff, but equally tempted to reset the character and have her shy again.
Nostalgia...

I'm in, and you probably know as who.
Grek scrambled to his feet, grateful for being spared a beating or mauling, though still cautious about the...pet...?

"I'm really sorry. Couldn't see you over the top of the hill. Are you okay?" The weak-looking bag of bones of a kobold muttered nervously. He watched on as she calmed her companion down, waiting patiently, and glad the focus was partly off him, even temporarily. He wasn't comfortable being the centre of attention at the best of times, and that went double if he'd just made a mistake.

The kobold's attention had returned to the newcomer. He looked down at the scene as well. "Well, there was a rumour that an old member of the tribe was returning today. Still, I was expecting some kind of seasoned travelling warrior or mercenary, not....a door to door preacher."
Sorry, I've been away from the internet for a few days, but I'll get a post out today.

EDIT: Guess I didn't need to post again after all lol
Another kobold arrived, and this one seemed to be his friend. Grek signed in resignation. He'd better go and retrieve the trap and try again later. Besides, this design was relying too much on chance. There had to be a more obvious way to sort the walking habits of the kobold from those of other races.

He began to make his way out of the cover of the forest, still deep in thought and not really looking where he was going. As he covered the crest of the hill, he immediately saw another kobold with their back to him, with a cat-like creature by their side. He cursed as he tried to stop himself but slipped on the dewey grass and slid down straight into her back.

His first thought was "Well, looks like I'm going to get beaten up again..." and he closed his eyes and braced himself.
I'm still here. My character's just watching for now. I can't really add anything besides 'he keeps watching'
"Of course! That's something that separates a Kobold from a non-kobold. If we ever need to rest, we will either sit on the ground or on a large stone. So, if I make a trap that appears to be a low, bench-like log, an invader would be the only kind of person to sit on it. Then again...I hear some former members of the tribe are returning in the coming days. I should build a non-lethal version if this trap idea, and if they all ignore it, I'll know that even those of us who have adopted other lifestyles will still not even think to use the log as a chair. It's just not in our nature, after all."

---

The test trap was built, and carefully placed besides the path to the caves, at a point where Grek himself personally started to feel in need of rest as he walked from the bottom of the hill to the cave mouth.

Grek had come to the edge of the cover of the forest. The rest of the hill was open, all the way up to the caves. He watched one of his kin exit from a carriage and start to make their way up the hill, but then stopped, and began reading a book to himself.

"I will never understand how the outside world thinks," he thought to himself as he watched impatiently for the Kobold to carry on making progress, but then a guard approached him. Grek cursed to himself. He would continue to wait for now, but he did not want his work to be wasted, and if he had to, he would lure the outsider up the hill himself.
