Hey, far left was a 7/10 :p
I've honestly seen worse from trolls. Hell, I've seen worse when I look at things for fun in my free time.
Troll in the dungeon!
@Tickout

Well, she'd bitten. It couldn't have been that bad of a conversation starter...

"Mission advice? Well, I don't know what your mutation is, but that aside, I'd say stay calm, and if Shawn of any of the adults here give a commend, do it as soon as it's safe to do so. Also, if you feel yourself starting to panic, get back to safety immediately, if you can."

The dark-haired Scot wasn't selling the mission in a particularly reassuring way, but then again, rare was a mission where you aren't putting your life on the line, and Heidi wasn't going to reassure anybody with false promises. It's better to be scared and cautios now than scared and taken by surprise out there.

Taleste listened to Tibulus' story, incredibly interested. "Oh, I remember those kinda fights!" She commented. "I used to gamble a lot. My favourite wure the Russian Roulette Wheels. Put a bullet in a six-chambered gun, stick it in a large wheel, then the spectators take bets on who'll get the gun, and the players take it and put it to their heads and pull the trigger. There wus a trick to being a player. You Pick the gun up o whatever side it was put down on, then flip it the other way as you're lifting it. You huv a 2/3 chance that you'll be able to feel a weight discrepency, an' that means the bullet's in one of the side chambers, and yur safe. If you can't feel one, you only huv a half chance of survival, so chicken out and count yer losses."
@Shoryu

I'm definitely up for it!
@Burning Kitty

So that's what he did! I was having trouble making sense of the post lol.
@Fury Panda

We could do stuff, but Dalry isn't a Doctor. Plus she'd just feel in the way trying to help him treat patients.

"Husband," Heidi corrected, blushing even more at her own assertiveness, and the possibility that Shawn might interpret that as a hint. But...wasn't that a good thing? Heidi didn't know any more. There were no books to teach teenagers how to handle crushes. Well, there were, but they were useless, as this wasn't something that could be simply taught. Heidi knew they were all useless. She'd read so many of them she'd started noticing patterns, and that's when she knew it was time to stop.

Besides, 'life partner', applied to Shawn, was ironic and left a bitter taste in her mouth as well as a lump in her chest. She didn't want to contemplate that at all right now. Instead she started thinking about plans. Immediately, she hit a roadblock; she didn't know all the variables.

Heidi turned to the new girl. She did not yet know her name, or her mutation, and now was a good time to find out. Of course, the task of starting a conversation with a stranger wasn't the easiest thing in the world for the shy Scottish girl.

"Uh, hi. I'm Heidi. You're the new girl. What's your name?"

The moment she'd finished speaking to Bonny. she realised how stiff and awkward her opening sentence had come out, and cursed herself.

Taleste sat in the same seat she used for monitoring the skies, and even gave it a few glances in the comfirtable (at least to her) silence that followed. She was such a socialite, that even doing literally nothing in the presence of a crewmate was better than entertaining herself alone in her eyes. She didn't want to force Tibulus to talk, as she'd reached the stage with him where she didn't want to annoy him. He didn't mind her company, it seemed, and that was valuable.

So she was pleasantly surprised when he asked her about herself. Taleste was not secretive. She just wasn't an over-sharer. She had accrued many stories in her years of thievery but she only told people who asked to hear them.

"Well, me an' the whuns I wus travelling with at the time, the Cosmos rest their souls, had a stupid cap'n. He wunted to break into an Alliance fort and steal a Class J diamond. We're talkin' the worth uv a couple'a planets 'ere. It went badly, as yud expect, and I surrendered before anybody even sin me. Got the safe open, tho, and I saw the gem."

The plucky thief stopped smiling and looked out of the screen.

"Those whuns all died that day, but this crew's different. This crew's made of survivors."
