Mina listened to Mamoru's story with a stupefied glare and glazed eyes, and fer face frozen into a look of scorn. 'Unimpressed' would be the wrong word, though 'impressed' still somehow became the exact opposite of what Mina was feeling for the pink haired girl right now. At the end of the story Mina showed a slight, wry grin that was almost a grimace, and muttered "Well, at least you'll easily find work as a storyteller when you fail this Hero course."

Not even 'if' she failed. 'when'. Ouch.

It was at trhat moment when Donny came over, and Mina visibly relaxed, and no longer looked cold or on her guard. She stood up and whispered in his ear. "The gym clothes I borrowed under Point B. There's only one boy in this class who wears clothes that size. I'll wash them and give them to you tomorrow morning,

Darkmatter."

Sitting back down, she was about to tell Mamoru her accounts of events, then the teacher walked back in , and proceeded to explain the result of the exercise and everybody's actions. Well, that saved her the trouble, and gave her a more complete picture of what had happened AND everybody else's quirks. Of course, on part visibly irked her, and that was getting called overconfident. She didn't almost lose because she underestimated Roy. She was on her guard the whole time, trying to figure out his quirk. That's why she almost lost. Not because of 'overconfidence'. Knowing exactly how good you are is not 'overconfidence', and Mina knew that everybody else would have to step up in order to keep up with her if the only negative point Mina had received on the entire exercise was the same thing she'd heard from teachers and classmates her entire life; 'We can't fault your ability, but we don't like your stuck-up attitude.'

She'd almost been looking forward to becoming a small fish in a big pond, that could let her grow into a massive fish, but this was just...more of the same, and she wasn't going to slow down just to let everyone else catch up. She wouldn't become the number one Hero like that.

"Huh? Kenichi? No, I fought the boy from the support class at Point A...No wonder he looked fresh. He didn't fight Fumika. Kenichi did."

Mina was taken off her guard by this, and was now starting to get a better picture in her head about what happened at Point A. She barely noticed Dulga leaving, but she did, caught her eye, and gave her a weary nod, as if to say 'I don't blame you. three's a crowd.' With Dulga gone, Mina turned her attention back to Mamoru. "What about you? You weren't attacking Point B while I was there, and you weren't at Point A, so that leaves C. What happened at C? Seems to me that's where most of the action was."

Mina had been half-paying attention to the interaction between Jett, Donny and Elvira. She'd have to make friends with Elvira herself. 'Everybody else is," she thought bitterly. But...why was that a bitter thought? Mina decided to ditch that train of thought completely. So that girl was chummy with both Jett AND Darkmatter. So? That didn't bother her. That didn't bother her at all.

The new girl's comment got a smile from Mina. "That was also my line of thinking. Don't break this one too, or I'll charge you. So, what's your name?"

However, the smile twitched when a third girl approached them. It was starting to get crowded. When the girl addressed her, the smile vanished completely. Mina turned to the pink-haired girl. From the flash in her eyes, it was clear that Mina had viewed that comment as some kind of challenge to her own skill or character. "I'm clean because I took a shower. I had some free time after everybody else was in the infirmary. I stayed at Point A until the very end of the exercise, and I'm not injured because I won all of my fights without getting injured."

There was a lot Mina didn't say to Mamoru, because she didn't want to guess her intentions. Perhaps she could just be too dim to have noticed that her question implied that she thought Mina was a weak rich girl who got knocked out early and spent the rest of the exercise pampering herself.

That's when she noticed Jett teleport into the room, with another girl. Huh. Well, at least he might stop hitting on her now, Mina thought, with a pang of hurt pride she was still proud enough to deny even to herself she'd just felt. Unless that girl was a relative of some kind. Jett so far didn't strike her as the type who could actually get close to a girl this fast. Not for lack of trying; he just couldn't. His method was wrong. Yeah, she must be a relative. That's it.

Mina, sick of waiting for class to start, and with Jett gone, oppened her satchel and pulled out the dirty gym clothes that she had been given by Darkmatter. Quickly checking the label for the size, and looking around the classsroom, it really narrowed down the possible students who could be Darkmatter. In fact, there was only one, and in her scan of the classroom; the large boy with glasses, and she caught him staring at her for a split second. Bingo. He sat down and started to munch on snacks. Liking to eat, and carrying snacks were two of the only things she knew about Darkmatter. She no longer had any doubt of the identity of the blob. Now all she needed was to get him alone so she could return the gym clothes. She wouldn't do it here. It would expose him, and people would talk.

At that moment, Mina saw a six-armed girl climb in through the window. She was definitely not there earlier. Recommendations? Must be. Mina herself had the option to get in through recommendations but absolutely refused. Not that the initiation test was difficult. Also, she was playing music. Catchy music. Well....at least Bohemian Rhapsody was out of her head now. And then she broke her phone....well, that was an entrance.

This stranger, though moody, didn't look like the shy type, or the annoying type. She was a strong positive in terms of first impressions and possible compatibility. Mina decided to take the risk and go talk to her. She got up out of her seat, and headed over. "Why'd you break your phone?" The slightly posh and stuck-up girl asked with a matching confused and slightly condescending tone that subliminally added 'you idiot' to the words she actually spoke. Mina sighed and pulled a brand new, very expensive top-of-the-line model smartphone from her pocket. "You can borrow my spare if you'd like."

Any veteran volunteers?
@ihinka

Yes, though never entirely. She'll go from "Hide under the table" useless to River Tam to Ellen Ripley over the course of the rp. At least that's my plan.

"Whut in the cosmos ain't wrong? Some whuns try and live honest lives out here, an' most of em end up dead or moneyless. Ai'nt nothin' wrong with gambling. Both whuns agree to it. Now stealing.. That's different. That's something you should feel guilty over. Even I felt guilty about stealin' once, long ago."

As she talked, Talest kept glancing at the radar every so often. She wasn't alert right now because they were beginning an Alliance job, so there wasn't likely to be anybody after them yet. Instead, she was flicking through the ship's internal cameras, until she found the Armory. Turning the sound up as she watched, she eventually realised what was going on, and turned it up so that Tibulus could hear.

"Oh, wow! Who needs holovid love dramas whun you can spy on your crewmates, am I right?"
I'm still here. I just don't know what Dalry should be doing.
