Is there some online tool where we can paste in the bots and determine whether they are duplicates? Then we can have a list of unique accounts to put through the shredder. Or do duplicates not matter from a data perspective?

They seem to be using more random names now. They have upped the game.

Also, I for some other threads, I think they're somehow changing timestamps so that the creation date don't appear as most recent.

*crawls out from bunker*

A call to arms!

So uh, I was asleep previously (I do night shifts). What's our strategy now? Are we bumping down the K-threads, reporting the threads themselves or just the users?
Is there a way to turn off those sidebars so that at least the forum won't look as flooded?
I could volunteer for exclusively bot-nuking, I suppose. I'm in GMT+2 and at least when I'm working tend to patrol sites every half an hour or so.

Also, I'd advocate against clicking the links. There is at least the chance you'll be picking up undesirable cookies in doing so.

EDIT: as an afterthought, bumping non-bot threads might actually make it less convenient to nuke the bot-threads...

Should I hold off on bumping non-bot threads?
Sorry for bumping this old thread, but wanted to replace the front page with our normal posts.

Announcement for war against spambots:
roleplayerguild.com/topics/98949-massi..

And admittedly, this is what I thought of when I read Wool:

If I come across a RP that's about a niche pairing (Black Butler for example), I'll take a curious peek, but usually head off elsewhere afterwards. I find it rare to come across characters that are like mine. It's here that I realise each and every character, be it OC or fandom, is unique in their own way.
Well executed plots.
At least the other spam bots offered us affordably priced furniture.
I was rather interested in that mahogany display cabinet for my teapots.
I'm not even sure what these bots with their Korean scripts are even offering us.

Korean BBQ? Hello Kitty stamps? :P

I say we fight back against the Spammers. while there is very little we can do aside from reporting it, there must be a way we can keep their posts off the front page

In the meantime, if it helps, I'm just bumping whatever I can (apologies to the GMs), to keep our front page K-free.
