Power looks more like a super power than a MHA Quirk. Quirks are more simple or straightforward, and their applications come from how people use them. 'Controlling Cards' is not a Quirk. Controlling the material from which they would be made is already a bit more like it.
That sheet has simply no love put into it, and it shows. It's sub-par to all of the rest, and the lack of Sample post (and WIP statement) tells me you either didn't read the whole things or didn't care for them. Unless it was posted too quickly or by mistake, which I hope it was.
@Eviledd1984 Yes there is, although for now Villains spots are pretty much taken. We are still reviewing the applications, though I prefer to warn in advance.
• Type | Emitter • Name | Happy Dusk • Details Another entity Quirk. Similar to Fumikage Tokoyami from UA's class 1A in Japan, and others, Erika host an entity that gives her Quirk's power. This entity is named Happy Dusk and takes the form of a semi-transparent fog-like-monster that is pink in coloration. The monster feeds off of negative emotions and negativity in general. The more negative emotions in the air, the more Happy Dusk becomes powerful - and happy. Indeed, the more negativity it eats, the more Happy Dusk becomes proportionally cheery and happy. Happy Dusk can use some of it's energy through Erika, but will manifest if the fight require it. They are in constant communication.
Personality & History ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
Those who know little of Erika might see her as depressive. Or at the very least in a constant state of negativity and suffering from a severe lack of either motivation or simply not caring enough. She's not only blunt, but also very impatient with others mistakes and quick to bully or make fun of people around her. People might think that she cares nothing for socialization, while in fact part of her behaviour is due to her Quirk.
With two big sisters, her family always had high expectations for her. She was constantly pushed to give it her all, constantly reminded that her sisters were doing very well for themselves and that people expected much. These high expectations and being constantly judged forced Erika to vent out her frustration and stress on others, bullying and mocking other kids at school even when she was young. Things didn't go better when her Quirk developed - at the fairly young age of 6, too. Happy Dusk had a field day when Erika was in elementary school.
Despite this hard exterior, some people still manage to stick to her and remain friends with her - once they saw further than her hard shell. Mainly, her two best friends Momo and Alex have been with her since they were kids. Erika care deeply for her friends and even family, but somehow grew up to have a hard time expressing these emotions. She have a love-hate relationship with her entity, Happy Dusk, who's always happy and cheerful and annoys her to no end.
She enrolled in U.S.J mainly because her family pushed her to. Unlike many others, being a Pro Hero was never her top One goal - and still isn't. Then again, she has no goal for the time being... and she's content with following Alex and Momo for now, while waiting to see where the future will bring her.
Extra ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
¤ If not in school uniform, Erika can usually be seen wearing classy outfits in the darker tones. The only stranger thing about her physically is her horns props she's always wearing in her hairs - part of her hero persona, since she doesn't really have a proper hero costume.
¤ She dyed her hair Dark Green. They are originally Black.
¤ Her parents are wealthy due to being successful.
It’s been decades since the first Quirks appeared. Since then, just about 80% of world's population have some sort of superhuman ability. All over the globe, society has changed, and those changes required many adjustments. Many academies for heroes in training have thus appeared all over the globe such as, of course, U.A.’s Academy for Heroes in Japan.
Lately it’s come to enjoy even more spotlight due to the coming of All Might working as a teacher there. But less known to the people of Japan was U.A.’s prototype predecessor, one that All Might had created during his time in America. It was thus deemed U.J. Academy of San Francisco. Less than capable at any form of administration, the number one hero left U.J. to chosen personal before leaving the country. It may be an off-shoot compared to some other schools, but U.J grew to become one of the top hero schools of the nation. After all, who wouldn’t want to be part of the Number One Hero's own school and have a chance to aim for the very top?
Introduction
Moving away from Japan, this RP will take place in the Academy of U.J. situated in a futuristic San Francisco, which was opened by none other than All Might himself before he left for Japan. This story will take place at about the beginning of the events of MHA, but said events will be mentioned only little to never.
This will mostly be an Academy Roleplay with focus on a progressive story that happens parallel to canon events. Players will be able to create young heroes that entered U.J and are on the path to master their Quirk and become Pro-Heroes - while others will incarnate as villains on a quest of their own which will bring them toe to toe with Heroes.
Setting
Heroes: Players who choose to be on the path to becoming a Pro-Hero will attend U.J and be assigned a Home Room Teacher. While training to master their Quirks and learning the ropes, they'll be thrown or caught in events that will require them to surpass themselves to live and overcome them. Only with the necessary will to march ever forward and learn can one become a Pro-Hero!
Villains: Players who choose to be on the path of villainy will belong to a small branch of the League of Villains situated in San Francisco. Their main purpose is the destruction of all things All Might. This includes, and for now is the main focus, the destruction of U.J by one way or another. They'll be working under a leader who receives orders from the secretive main head of the League. These character roles will be limited, depending on the number of heroes we have.
Rules
No Godmodding, Power Gaming, Metagaming and/or similar types of characters/behavior.
Each player is allowed one character each for now. Only a certain number of villains will be allowed; ~ 1 for each 3 heroes.
All characters require a CS to be approved.
There will be no specific posting order. However, wait at least two turns before posting again to let others have fun as well.
Discussion in the OOC: Fine. Criticism: Also Fine. Drama: Big No. Any form of prolonged arguments, straight up insults or continued behavior that sour the mood for others will see the GMs putting an end to it; either by solving the issue or straight up banning if it's been more than once.
RPers who "sporadically" lose interest or leave without saying anything are discouraged. I strongly suggest you either inform me or the Co-GMs of your leave of absence. If it’s an emergency, then at least tell us it is.
Please post your Character Sheets onto the OOC for evaluation. After being accepted, you may then post them onto the Character Tab.
As far as length go, use common sense. Generally 2 paragraph is good, but if you have no content to write that much, it's O.K to write a small, filler post once in a while. If it makes more sense at that time.
Follow the Guild's rules for content/language. Take any improper material to PMs, please.
We take suggestions from the players into consideration with a great deal of importance. However, we are the final arbiters of any issue. Do not question our final verdict and don't test our patience.
If you have any problems, questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to let the GMs know.
