"Hm," she mused before turning away to retrieve something, she didn't look mad...but she was silent...that was usually never a good thing.
“Would you put your number in here, please?” she asked with a level tone, placing her hands on Kyle’s shoulder so she could gently spin him around to face the wall.
"No peeking," Ok, good sign, if she was really mad at him, she would have kicked him out to do this. A drenched shirt unceremoniously landed at his feet and his face lit up redder than Rudolph's nose,
"Jesus Mary Joseph above..." Kyle immediately turned his attention to her phone punching in his digits, both his personal and work numbers went in.
“So, if you were running late, why didn’t you text me? It would have been nice. I sort of thought you were standing me up,” he felt his heart shrivel up a little,
"she thought I stood her up? Shit..." A small crystal pendant and chain fell at his feet next to the shirt with a clatter. Now he was feeling like a real ass...especially after what Nori told him about that one guy, the last thing he wanted to do was give her that impression of him. He felt a tap on his shoulder,
"You can look now."Turning to face her, he was greeted with an extremely adorable sight, she had made his flannel more form fitting, arranging it into a kind of strapless dress,
"She looks really cute in that," he could feel his face flushing, but she looked like she was still expectantly waiting for an answer from him.
"About that... He scratched at his head, embarrassment welling up again,
"So remember how I nearly flattened you like a pancake at the cafe earlier? Seems I have a habit of doing that, on my way here in my panic I ran into some guy, collided head on and fell flat on my butt. I had my cell in my hand at the time and I think I dropped it when I ran into the guy," thinking back he still felt pretty badly about just abandoning that guy, at least someone was there at the time so he wasn't alone.
"By the time I got here and got settled in line, it was gone. At that point I was hoping to just wait outside and hoped to catch you, but I got a lucky break and someone helped me in." He'd have to thank Sabine for that again, she was extremely helpful,
"Moral of the story, I'll make sure to text you before leaving my house in a panic, not after."He wasn't sure if she'd believe him or not, but he did want to get one thing squared away,
"To stand you up though...I'd have to be some kind of stupid or some kind of cruel to do that, especially after what you told me earlier." He stepped a little closer to her, he wasn't totally sure if this was gonna be too forward, but fuck it, this didn't feel like a traditional boy meets girl to begin with. Reaching for her hands, he gently took them in his, staring into those golden amber gems in her eyes,
"I feel like you've been honest with me so far and I hope you feel the same about me in that regard, but if I wasn't interested in you I'd tell you from the start and if it hasn't become apparently obvious yet, I'm pretty interested in you."He laid his feelings out and even though his heart was pounding and his face was flushed, he felt happy to have said it. Now his only hope was that she'd reciprocate those feelings,
"I know I can be a bit of a block head, but if you're willing to put up with my stupidity and my absence tonight, I'd like to make up for it. I still owe you a something-anything after all."@Narcotic Dollie
