"Can we have food, then? Lots of food for all of us?" One of the Giant Mice asked. The rest of the dozen loudly agreed with her. "You can make food, right? Yeah, make us food!"

"Can we... can we have a man, too?" A rather timid Devil Bug made quite the demand. "Just one, though. We're not greedy, one will be enough. Even for just one night?"

"Which man, though?" The captive Giant Mouse asked.

The group looked at each other, pondering for a moment, before nodding at each other. "We want the brown-haired plain boy!" They all answered, almost in unison.

"He's not plain!" Sylvia declared vehemently, before clearing her throat, "Ahem, I mean, I can't give you any of the men in the Guild, but..." She looked at Vivian with a look of guilt and apprehension.

"We can definitely make you a large helping of food," Vivian interjected, "How does lasagna and cake sound?" She was hoping she wasn't stereotyping, but she assumed the Giant Mice liked cheese, and the Devil Bugs liked sweets. But Vivian knew the look Sylvia was giving her and nodded in consent.

"...and we can provide you with a little bit of alraune nectar, as long as you promise to use it somewhere else. Believe me, if you use it here, we'll be able to tell, it is our nectar after all," Sylvia, offered, hoping that this would dissuade them from persistently asking for Neil.
Sorry for the delay. I had missed Lugu's post, so I was waiting for Mae to come fetch Gammaton. After scrolling back, I realized that it was already happening.
@Lugubrious

"Ah! Mae," Gammaton said with pleasant surprise in her voice, "Did you get my message, then?" Gammaton had been lounging on a bit of fallen architecture, pondering existence, and wishing she had something to read. She got up quickly at Mae's approach; being seen as a layabout was uncharacteristic and unbecoming of Infactorium's general.

After being filled in by Mae on the particulars of their mission, Gammaton nodded contemplatively. "It does not seem as if Lady Faetalis wishes to do harm to our enemies?" Gammaton asked incredulously. Though Gammaton obviously didn't understand the particulars of Yggdrasil having been a game world, their enemies in the past had either been mobs, players, or their minions, none of which could be 'scared' in the normal sense. Sure, 'Fear' and 'Flee' were crowd-control statuses that could be temporarily applied, and mental damage was certainly a thing that existed, but no battle, large or small, had been averted simply because the other side had been 'afraid', so Faetalis' proposed tactic was a bit of a foreign concept for Gammaton. Still, Faetalis was the greatest strategist Gammaton had ever seen, so it was not his place to question her plans.

Taking up Israfil's Hammer, bludgeon, and the Fan of Zhuge Liang, her focus, she set off with Mae. Being an illusionist, Gammaton was perfectly suited to the task at hand; the ability to use Israfil's unique passive to manipulate sound was an added bonus. "What do you think would be most effective to scare these intruders off? I'm thinking undead, ghosts in particular, no offense. But among monster races, the undead disproportionately tend to have fear-inducing skills, and tend to be difficult to kill if the opponent is unprepared. At the very least, it should force them to retreat and re-equip themselves with holy weapons and armor, buying us time. I might spread some miasmic toxins too, not too strong, to really give them the impression that this area is cursed."

Gammaton fell silent for a moment. "Did Lady Faetalis say anything about taking a captive? There is much I could learn from a captive if allowed to... consume their grey matter." Back in Yggdrasil, Consume Knowledge allowed Gammaton to execute a low level NPC, see their library of skills, and temporarily take one for herself at half of the original skill's level. Yet somehow, Gammaton had the sinister impression that she would be able to acquire more than just knowledge on their enemies' skills were she to consume knowledge this time around.
With the worker ants performing their designated tasks, there was little for Gammaton to do; unlike Tungsten's automatons, the workers were 'living creatures' and had slightly more intelligent, self-preserving pathing. They were also considerably more expendable, so even if one ant stupidly killed itself, it wasn't a great loss.

Gammaton sat at a dilapidated desk, pondering about nothing. She didn't remember her own head feeling so empty and lonely as stray thoughts bounced around through her cavernous mind. Gammaton was...bored, and found herself longing for something to occupy her time with, but not just busy work, something...intellectually stimulating. That was when she remembered the holding pens at the bottom of Hivehill, where the supreme beings held gladiatorial competitions to test their mettle against some of the stronger creatures of Yggdrasil. Even before the calamity, the holding pens were poorly maintained; the supreme beings had slowly lost interest in fighting the creatures and resources were diverted to other places. Gammaton headed down to confirm her suspicions, and upon arriving could see a dwindling population of undernourished beasts. Well, waste not, want not; perhaps these could be slaughtered and sent to Mae. Gammaton wondered if Faetalis would partake of monster flesh, since Gammaton had an inkling that the Supreme Beings were averse to consuming monsters. But as a parasite, to Gammaton, food was food.

Still, the creatures were ferocious, so it wasn't like they could just be herded to the Gorging Trough without incident, but Gammaton was also unsure if Mae wanted her ingredients fresh, so Gammaton couldn't just have them killed and their parts shipped over without first asking. Besides, in her current form, Gammaton wasn't the most suited for combat, and even hungry, some of these creatures could give Gammaton and her frail host's body a run for their money. Gammaton returned to her desk and penned another letter, this time to Canology Mae, asking the chef what she wished to do with the soon-to-be ingredients in the holding pens. Gammaton ordered a worker to carry the message to the Gorging Trough; although someone would have to read it to Mae.

Now that her mind was on food, she wondered if she should try to consume enough bioenergy to power her metamorphosis. She had enough stored up that she could transform into Gammaton Infantilis immediately, and she wouldn't need much more to reach Gammaton Anastasis. Ideally, she should try to get to Nova Gammaton, as that form was most ideal for combat, which, back in Yggdrasil, also seemed to be the highest priority. But if Faetalis had gone out to survey their surroundings, then surely the Supreme Being would know best what skillsets were most needed right now. But until she was called upon, Gammaton would continue to passively oversee the work of her ants.
I'll have a post up today or tomorrow
Vivian & Sylvia Altissima

"Ummm, we're not exactly an organized group, you know? We just came together very recently looking for food and men and became friends. I don't even know half the girls in the group." The Giant Mouse said. "A-Although, I suppose I can call everyone out so we can talk. But you have to promise! You have to promise not to attack us, okay?"

"I can also just track them down for you to catch. But I can only find them, it's up to you to catch them and trap them." The Giant Mouse suggested an alternative. "It'll be payback for leaving me alone here. But err, can you say that I had nothing to do with it?"

The sisters thought about it for a bit, and discussed with each other in muttered tones. "Sure, call them out, and we promise not to attack unless we're attacked first," Sylvia said.

"Try anything funny, and..." Vivian threatened, opening a drawer full of knives, numerous vines perched dangerously close to the cutlery.

of course, the sisters weren't exactly sure what they would say to the mice and bugs, even if they came out. The liliraune wanted to just offer them something so they'll go away, but the sisters weren't exactly guildmaster, and didn't know if there was anything that was theirs to give. They wondered when Bart would be back, or if there was anyway they could let him know to return.

The sisters were surprised to see so many Giant Mice and Devil Bugs crammed into the kitchen, and the mess they made caused Vivian to scream, "Ah! Stop! Stop, you filthy things!" but her voice couldn't rise above the din.

As the caught Giant Mouse tried to bite the vine that held her, Sylvia called out, "H-hey! You! Stop that!" and began shaking the Giant Mouse to disorient her and prevent her from getting a good bite in, and hopefully wear her out so she would be too tired to make any further attempts to chew through the vine.

"Alright, mouse, listen up. This is a guild of strong fighters, and if I wanted to, I could ask my friends to hunt down you and your friends. Fortunately for you, this guild consists of humans and monsters who want to coexist and live peacefully. If it was all humans, they might use...POISON! If it was all monsters, they might eat you up without a second thought, or enslave you...or worse. So while we could hurt you, we don't want to."

"Don't we?" Vivian looked at the mouse with a maniacal grin, her eyes twitching from the mess that the other vermin had made.

"We don't," Sylvia insisted calmly, "I get it, all you want is some food." Sylvia tried to ignore what she had heard of the bugs and mice conspiring to gun after the human men in the Guild, hoping that by not bringing it up, she was implying that such things were not up for negotiation. "But instead of sneaking around and stealing food without our permission, maybe we could come to some sort of arrangement? You'll come to see that trade is a lot less risky than what you normally do. Do your...umm...clans have a leader, someone that maybe could negotiate with our guild leader?"

Sylvia and Vivian glared at the Giant Mouse as more vines approached, ready to recapture the mouse in case she tried anything funny.
Gammaton couldn't help but agree with Faetalis' decision; Hivehill thrived on food, and Gammaton could feel her host becoming a bit peckish. But one sad truth remained unspoken; if Faetalis was this willing to tear down so much of the guild, it heavily implied the absence of the other Supreme Beings, or at least, the ones whose domains were being reduced to scrap. Though Gammaton was long used to GrillBears' absence, she could tell that this sudden and violent event may have awakened in her comrades the vain hope that their masters would return. She didn't want to see them disappointed, but she feared it would be a hard truth they would have to face sooner or later.

"I hear, and obey, My Lady," Gammaton's host said in his characteristically deep, smooth voice and bowed bombastically in an attempt to hide the regret of having to deface years of Infactorium's progress and infrastructure. With the meeting concluded, Gammaton paced back to Hivehill, deep in contemplation. Once she had arrived, she went into some of the deeper areas that more resembled research labs than a giant anthill to find some parchment and a quill. Gammaton quickly penned some instructions for Levia in case she forgot how the ants behaved. Pasting the instructions to the randomly chosen 'leader' of a handful of worker ants, she ordered them to aid Levia in her duties, bringing a trunk of pheromone bottles that had fortunately survived Infactorium's violent transport. Sure, she probably didn't need any help when it came to deconstruction, but the ants would spare Levia the banal task of moving the material to their destinations, allowing her to continue doing what she loved with minimal interruptions.

Gammaton took the remaining workers and headed to the opposite end from Levia of the parts of Infactorium that were slated for destruction. As an Insect Master, Gammaton could command the workers with her thoughts...well, not exactly. Her commands to her minions were converted into intricately woven pheromone signals. The trunk she had sent to Levia was a simplistic version that involved three types of vials representing three signals, color-coded for ease of use: red for harvest - to break down into small chunks, blue for move - to pick up without destroying, and green for destination - the location where objects marked with red or blue pheromones were to be moved to. Applying a pheromone to the antennae of an ant let it know it was about to receive orders relevant to that type of pheromone, leaving the vial let the ant know that it is to perform its task at that location. Marking a pile of inorganic material with red, and marking a trail of green that led to The Big Scrap Alley and Mór Brionnú would be sufficient to have the workers carry out the automated task of deconstructing and carrying the material to the where they were intended. The same could be done by marking a pile of organic material with red and a green trail to the Gorging Trough. With this, Gammaton and Levia could work efficiently at deconstructing the 'unnecessary' parts of Infactorium, though Gammaton had no illusions that she would finish her task before Levia. Though Gammaton could feel the pangs of nostalgia stabbing her heart, she understood the need to excise unneeded parts for the better health of the whole.
Sorry, I have a half-written post that I should be finishing soon.

Uninvited Guests

They would expect the place to be quiet save for themselves yet as they approached the kitchen, they would hear noises of drawers opening and the minor clanging of utensils and other sounds of ransacking. Thieves and robbers, perhaps? Believing the Guild to be deserted? The sisters could hear voices from the kitchen should they press their ears against the closed doors.

The voices were female, and sounded very young. Like teenagers giggling about gossip. The door was a bit ajar, allowing the Altissima sisters to get a peek within the invaded kitchen. They would see a couple of figures, none of whom bode well for the lone Liliraune. They could see a fair-skinned girl with insect features about her, particularly a cockroach with their black-brown wings and appendages; a Devil Bug. The other girl they could see had the ears and the tail of a mouse; clearly a Large Mouse.

Neither of these monster species usually came alone. Who knows how much more of them were in the kitchen, let alone the Guild?

"We've got pests!" The sisters thought. Sylvia lamented Ozzy's departure, who, as an owl, was probably a great deterrent for mice. What to do? The sisters couldn't let these pests ravage the kitchen before they'd even gotten a chance to show off their prowess to the rest of the guild. Looking at each other, the sisters silently agreed on their approach.

"HEY!" Vivian yelled as she slammed the kitchen door open in an attempt to startle the unwanted guests. "What's this? A couple of mischievous vermin?" A vine snapped out in an attempt to grab one of the pests by the leg and hoist them into the air; this would give them something to bargain with, hopefully, since their tactic was going to be a sort of good cop/bad cop dynamic that teetered between intimidation and negotiation.
