Haley ★ 24 ★ Taurus ★ EST ★ Casual Level Group Writer

Welcome fellow writer. I go by many names, but you can call me Haley or pretty much anything else. I stick to causal level groups here on the forum. I have a soft spot for thunderstorms, dark humor, strong coffee, animals, pretty words, feminine rage, mythologies, and all things that go 'bump' in the night. I've lived in the same small southern Appalachian town my whole life, and aim to travel one day. I'm open to the occasional random conversation, but please do not message me asking to write one-on-one; it's simply not something I do these days.

Jasper woke up to a splitting headache, her six-thirty alarm doing nothing to help the pain. This cause Jasper to throw her phone out the wall. Unfortunately, this did nothing to stop to stop the sound emitting from the stupid electronic device. Begrudgingly, Jasper got out of bed, picked up the phone and turned off her alarms right as a wave of nausea hit. Running to the bathroom, she promptly threw up in the toilet before flushing and brushing her teeth. Instant headache cure. After her shower, she felt like a brand new woman.

Bits and pieces of last night sparked into her memory as she got dressed. A message alert of the assembly prompted Jasper to make her way to the auditorium.

As the headmistress spoke, Jasper didn't clap when told. Instead she sat there, anger boiling at the surface. If looks could kill, Emilia would have fallen over dead. Snatching her bag up from the chair beside her, Jasper stormed out of the auditorium, preparing to call her brother and rant about the news. As she unlocked her phone, she recieved another text at the same time it appeared a lot of other people did.

>Sorry for grabbing your boobs.

Holy fuck Nate, really? she thought. Preparing to write a response, Jasper did a double take at who the message was sent to. Roughly eighty contacts?!

"Dead. A dead man. I'm gonna kill him."

Marching around the courtyard as she looked for Nate (she didn't have her brother's height advatage) Jasper found her target right after it appeared her brother did.

"Oh, leave the boy alone would you Ty," she said, smiling sweetly at the boys. "Wouldn't want you to break his wind pipe would we? You know - probation and all that." Putting her hand on her brother's shoulder, Ty released Nate and straightened his own jacket. It took only a split second for Jasper to take her brothers spot, repinning Nate to the snack machine. While she wasn't as tall as her brother, Jasper was still a force to be reconged with.

"What the fuck Nate," she growled, glaring up at him. "I knew you couldn't handle your booze, but you can't send a text right either?"
I'm sort of in a `meh` mood at the moment.

Kinda needy, but not depressed or sad. Just wanna be babied.

Bored, but not in the mood to do anything.

Just... meh.
"What's your favorite character that you have written for in an RP? Why were they your favorite character?"
I'm basically Tallahassee when it comes to coconut.

Zombieland is a great movie.

Ty's night had gone out with a bang - literally. Junie had quite a few tricks up her sleeve, and Ty had absolutely zero problems with it. Whatever had been going on between them had finally started to reach a peak, and the young man was more than grateful for that. Giving her the option rather to dine out or eat in, Junie had chosen to eat at his apartment. Getting to work on their meal, Ty was happy when she joined in to help slice the fruit. For the first time in his life, Tiberius was having a movie scene moment - and he loved every moment of it.

After Junie had left, Ty collapsed on his bed, exhausted from last night and ever so slightly hung over. There was a dull ache in his head, and he was surprised to say that his back was actually sore. Sure, he had had a few girls scratch his back from time to time, but Junie? It was like the girl was marking her territory or something. After a quick shower, a glass of water, and a few Advil, Ty was ready to face his day.

He went to the assembly, shrugging his shoulders as he realized that they were on academic probation. So what? It was bullshit and he would just transfer.

Once he had entered the court yard, Ty felt his phone buzz with a notification at the same moment everyone else's phone seemed to go off. Opening the message, he read it before realizing who it was from. Nate? Boobs? Party? It took Ty a second to put the pieces of the puzzle together. As the feeling of protective rage swelled inside of him from his head to his toes, Ty looked around the courtyard for Nate. Once he spotted the other man, Ty marched over, his phone clutched in his hand as his eyebrows nit together. Spotting the much shorter Millie, Ty gave her a polite nod.

"Morning Mills." Raising his right hand to grab Nate and yank the other young man around by the shoulder to face him, Ty slammed Nate up against the snack machine, pinning his right forearm under Nate's chin. "Mind telling me what exactly you did to my sister and why you're messaging half of the goddamn school about it?" he growled.

People were loving the pancakes, Chloe had brought those hellasiously good rolls that Reyna could never remember the name of, and Emi was looking like a fucking snack. The morning was getting off to quite a great start in her opinion. After everyone who needed a meal had gotten one, Reyna closed the trunk and hopped on the back of her car before beginning to eat. Smelling the food all morning had put her on the brink of what she would have sworn was starvation. Taking her somewhat higher advantage point to watch the show, Reyna only added in comments as needed. She was to busy trying to stop the growling in her stomach.

It took her just a moment to confirm her suspicions, but it did seem that Katie would be joining them for their trip. Taking a sip of her coffee (thank God for Aleks), Reyna waved at her friend as she was dragged off by Aleks and Chris. Smiling at Sami's comment, Reyna didn't bother to ask him where the budding bruises came from. Sami had his own shit going on in life, and if he ever wanted to talk about it, he would find her.

"Glad to be of service, mi amor."

As Ivy asked why Val was dragging AJ into the RV, Reyna shrugged her shoulders. "I dunno. But I'm sure we'll find out soon enough," she replied, giving the other girl a playful smirk.

Anything else that was going on around her was drowned out by the sight of Leon. Tall, handsome, and he had just gotten back from a run. "Gracias Dios," she muttered under her breath, watching him take off his shirt. Ava's comment dragged her out of her quickly forming fantasy. "Oh come on, chicka. You're telling me you don't appreciate the sight of a well toned piece of man?" Reyna would save way more for Leon than just some lousy bacon. Finished with her food for the moment, Reyna closed the lid on the Styrofoam box before hopping down off of the trunk of the car. Head held high and hips swaying as she went, anyone with half a brain could tell who the girls next target was.

Greeting Leon with a smile, Reyna crossed her arms as she leaned against the RV.

"Morning gorgeous," she winked at him. "How was your run?"

Before Leon even had time to answer, Reyna could hear the yelling from the inside of the RV as AJ and Val went at it. The yelling coming to a hault as the door was slung open, Reyna could see AJ doubled over inside, clutching what little bit of man goods he had. Doing her best not to laugh, she quickly turned her head around to see Val marching off right as AJ requested that someone stop her.

"Leon. Can you stop the chihuahua from running off? I don't want to have to take a detour to pick her up from the pound later." As Leon stood there, giving her his adorable trademark look of confusion, Reyna rolled her eyes. "Go stop Val you big goof!"

Billie hadn’t been able to sleep worth a shit since coming to San Agustin. Rather it was the overall vibe, or just being in a new place, she didn’t know. Hot showers, music, thunderstorms… nothing helped. When she did get to sleep, it only lasted a few hours before she was woken by the same repetitive dream.

That same girl, same smile. Same fucking house. Same stupid pancakes. It was a strange dream. Comforting and familiar somehow. But when the girl looked at Billie, her pulse quickened. There was nothing scary about the face. It was human. Pretty, even. Warm coffee eyes, strong jawline and smooth, cream skin. But still everytime Billie saw the face in her dreams she woke up breathing heavily in the middle of a cold sweat.

Last nights dream was different though.

Same strange girl, but… Nick was there. They were all dancing in what appeared to be a gym. There was another man and woman this time, who appeared to be in their forties. Nick, the no named young woman and the adults all seem to know each other. They were making plans to go to breakfast after this. Billie was the outsider. As her body moved to the beat of the music, unable to stop dancing, she tried to figure out where she was to no avail. It wasn’t until the instructor called it quits and the older man went to hug Billie that she woke up.

Smack.

Face down on the ground and tangled in her blankets on her bedroom floor was how the young woman woke this morning. Rolling over, staring at the ceiling as the sun rose, Billie tried to catch her breath. What were these dreams? Who were these people? Why was Nick showing up now? Her six-thirty alarm going off with an annoying beeping, Billie groaned as she reached up on her bedside table to grab her phone. Shutting off the alarm, the dark haired girl opened her contacts and sent her brother a message.

Weird dream again. Meet me at the cafeteria?

Laying on the floor to gather her thoughts for just a few more minutes, Billie finally got up and tossed her blankets back on the bed before gathering her things to take a shower. Settling for a simple outfit today, she went light on her makeup and dressed comfy in a black romper and her favorite Adidas jacket.

Not in a hurry to get the day started, she took extra time blow drying her hair. Not being able to delay any longer, she made her way to the cafeteria before ordering her first meal of the day. A bowl of oatmeal with strawberries and blueberries, a side of bacon, and some toast. Walking to an empty table, Billie recognized a few familiar faces, but none of them were her brothers. Sighing as she sat down her tray, the young woman rolled her eyes as she sat down.

“Good fucking morning, Vietnam.”
I want to go to the beach.

It was a couple of days after discussing outfit ideas with Ariel that Kavan finally took yet another trip to the nearest Men's Warehouse in order to piece together his outfit for the dance. As usual, his sister tagged along, prepared to offer her assistance in an effort to make sure he looked his absolute best. "I still don't understand why they're doing this to you guys," Amoli had said to her brother as she waited for him to come out of the dressing room. She stood right outside of his changing room door, a few more pairs of pants and button-up shirts draped over her arm. "I would've loved to take pictures of you and Archer together. We could've gotten a little sneak peak of what prom will look like."

It took them a little over an hour to complete Kavan's ensemble, and another half-hour for the boy to convince his sister to forgo taking him to get a haircut. "Okay, fine," the girl had reluctantly said to her brother after listening to his protests, "We'll save the haircut for prom. And since you're making me wait longer, I'll go ahead and add a dye job to the to-do list."

It didn't take too long for Kavan to drive to Ariel's house. The young man pulled into the driveway at around 6:30, which would give them more than enough time to get to the country club; He sat in the car for a few more seconds as he sent Archer a quick text message. He then took his keys out of the ignition and tossed them into his jacket pocket before getting out of the car and strolling up to Ariel's front door. He had just finished rapping his knuckles against the door when it was suddenly pulled open.

To tell you the truth, Ariel had gotten ready for tonight's dance nearly two hours early. She wasn’t exactly sure as to why, but best guess would be to keep the thoughts in her head to a mild shout rather than a roar. She had taken extra care making sure that her hair had just enough product in it to keep it from frizzing up as she danced the night away. It had taken her a full forty-five minutes to get the perfect smokey eye before she could even slip into her dress. She had taken even more time out of her afternoon to make sure that the eye bags and fading bruises were hidden to the best of her ability.

The young woman had been enjoying having the house to herself by cranking the music up on the sound system as she danced around the living room. Halsey’s new album had been a whole mood for her these last few weeks, and as the song I’m Not Mad came on, she couldn’t help but turn the settings to repeat and sing along. It was on the seventeenth repeat that she just so happened to hear knocking at the door. It appeared that time had gotten away from her.
Quickly shutting off the music and adjusting her dress as she made her way to the door, Ariel greeted Kavan with a smile.

”Wow man! You look fantastic!”

Of course, Kavan returned the young woman's smile with one of his own. "Much appreciated. It's no thanks to me, though. My sister did most of the hard work, I just made sure she stuck with our planned color scheme." Kavan had to admit that even though he hated how his sister had a tendency to take control in situations like that, she did do a decent job dressing him. His gray suit was fairly simple, the only real pop of color being the patterned shirt he wore underneath the jacket. It all complemented Ariel's dress pretty well. "You look beautiful, as usual," Kavan said as he took a quick glance at the watch on his wrist. "Are you ready to go?"

Turning to make sure that the door was locked, Ariel shook her head yes before heading to the car with Kavan. ”So what’s your big plan for tonight?” she asked, buckling her seat belt.

As Kavan put the key in the ignition and started the car, he offered Ariel a shrug and said, "Well, aside from learning some of those dance moves you told me about and hanging out with the rest of the Misfits, I'm kinda just looking forward to having fun with all of you tonight... you know, since this is one of the last big events before graduation. We'll be going our separate ways soon, and I just wanna make these moments last. Plus I got Archer this really cool Valentine's day gift..." Kavan let his voice trail off as he pulled out of the driveway and started down the road towards the country club.

"And, well... I know that you and Kavi are in a rocky place right now, but I still wanted you to enjoy Valentine's Day since the whole holiday is about celebrating friendship as well. God, I'm starting to sound like Mrs. Sanders. Anyway, I got something for you too. It's in the glove compartment. I had to call in a few favors with my dad's connections, but I know from your blog that you're a big fan of a certain band and... I figured you'd like it." Sitting in the glove compartment of Kavan's car was none other than a My Chemical Romance vinyl; What Kavan thought to be special about the gift, however, was not the vinyl itself, but what had been written in black ink right across the front cover.

"To our biggest fan, Ariel Grey. Stay beautiful, and keep it ugly. - Gerard Way"

Listening to her friend, Ariel couldn’t agree more. Taking these last few months to hang out with your friends more was important. Of course they would all be moving away to college soon, so it was a good thing to make memories while they could. That was one of the main reasons that she had approached Kavan about the dance, after all. Laughing at the Mrs. Sanders comment, Ariel reached into the glove compartment for her gift. While she didn’t like surprises, she loved presents, and this one was sure to hold a special place in her heart for many years to come.

”Oh my gods! Dude this is amazing!” Overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude, Ariel felt her eyes start to fill with happy tears. Doing her best to blink them away quickly so she wouldn’t mess up her makeup, the young woman couldn’t help but smile. ”If you weren’t driving right now, I’d legit hug you.” She snapped a quick photo of the record, making sure to tag Kavan in the picture when she uploaded it to Instagram. ”Can I know what you got Archer?”

"It's no problem," Kavan said, the corners of his mouth turning up at the sight of her excitement. "For Archer I actually got one of the Sophomore artsy kids to help me put together this little book of how Archer and I first met... I wrote the story and she handled the illustration. I wanted to do something different from the typical candy and stuffed animal thing, but I don't know... I hope he doesn't hate it."

”Who would hate that? That’s such a thoughtful and creative gift like…. It’s literally you two’s love story. I’m more than sure that he’ll love it.”

"Thanks, Ariel," Kavan said, his smile widening as he finally pulled his car into the parking lot of the all too familiar Crown Heights Country Club. After finding an empty space, he cut the engine and turned to look at the young woman sitting in his passenger seat. "Well, ready to go bust a move?"

Laughing as they got out of the car, Ariel offered her hand to Kavan.

”Let’s do this thing.”
