@AtomicNut The thing is, even a "Detect Motive" ability for lack of a better term is hard to implement. In cases where you as a player don't know what a characters true intentions are, you will have no way of even implementing the ability unless the player explicitly describes subtle gestures for your character to read. In cases where you
do know that another character has ulterior motives, you essentially have full control over whether or not the character is a good enough liar. Sensing fear works because it is common for players to describe general emotions like that, and it is fair that your character could pick up on it. With the ability as you have it, it is either arbitrary, or essentially metagaming depending on the scenario. It's fine if you want your character to be naturally suspicious, and if another player describes a subtle gesture that their character makes, you're welcome to pick up on it, but beyond that, I have to nerf the ability.
@Zombehs Just a couple things. First, the talisman would make some oni aspect visible in his human form. Maybe small horns on his head? Also, there need to be some restrictions on that energy absorption ability. I would say limit it to a single type of energy, like fire since that is thematic, and limit how much energy he can absorb. Other than that, it looks good.
