Canine - Tracking via scent, as most canines do.
Wrestling - Subduing with tackles, wrestling, and throws (though technique is nowhere close to being refined). Faintly mimics Kuai Jiao (快跤) wrestling in how aggressive the fighter must be, with a strong emphasis on leg-sweeps to lead into solid locks.
Agriculture - Not this kind of plowing, but you know what I mean. Did I mention farming in general? Weeding, fertilizing, fallowing, irrigation, and more are part of her skillset, thanks to observing the farmers that once paid tribute to her.
Thievery - Believe it or not, the Harvest dogs have become better at being light on their feet since the removal of their other eight tails. Inherent wisdom, perhaps? As each tail is gained, stealth becomes more difficult, as En's human form will begin to weigh more.


En has the ability to force plants to age and grow faster than normal, though this comes at the cost of burning whatever energy is stored in her Spirit Form. As such, most of her kind undergo a cycle of extreme malnutrition and gluttony, so as to maintain balance in their population through the annual harvest seasons. She's had few opportunities in a while to use this power, though, as there is no precision; just as there is little hope to dam up a fast-melting glacier, there is little hope to restrain her power when unleashed.
En also can 'regain' eight other tails, though to keep them in permanence requires double of her current body weight. Temporary recollection is one-tenth the amount for one tenth the ability's duration. The tail progression follows as so :

Second - Consume double the body mass in spirit form; ability to encourage certain traits in plants to grow instantly, such as more flowers, more fruits, slightly harder wood, etc.
Third - Consume quadruple the body mass in spirit form; freely transform from spirit to human without any loss of the first three tails.
Fourth - Consume eight-fold body mass in spirit form; change temperatures in the immediate area (a maximum of a half-acre's radius for four hours).
Fifth - Consume 16-fold body mass in spirit form; change the properties of fallowing earth (make the dirt more sludgy, or dry and packed, etc.) in an acre's span.
Six - Consume 16-fold body mass in spirit form; change weather in a square mile for up to four hours.
Seventh - Consume 32-fold body mass in spirit form; level the earth up to 20 meters.
Eighth - Consume 128-fold body mass in spirit form; reproduce.
Ninth - 256-fold body mass in spirit form; entry into the heavens. Walking in the air is also possible. The first tail becomes white and drops wild rice seeds on occasion. No tails are consumed when transforming from one form into another.
Note : The consumption mass counter resets for every tail gained; consumed mass amount is halved upon exiting and re-entering spirit form.

En can, alternatively, grow extra arms out of any part of her body, the strength of which corresponds to the same scale as regrowing tails, though the scale maximizes at the equivalent of the seventh tail (the resulting arm would be larger than her body already; anything more would be too cumbersome for any practical usage).

- Bamboo Shoots - Used to grow vantage points incredibly quickly, and makes for good toothpicks, chopsticks, and cutlery.



Legends once spoke of a nine-tailed dog stealing the seeds from heaven to help humanity develop agriculture, only to lose eight of those tails in its escape. The remaining one tail, though, had trapped the seeds inside its fur, and so humans could farm staple crops.

En, a descendant of said dog, had lived in relative with her small village (安徽) in the north parts of the mainland, save for a couple of territorial disputes. Of few of the village children, however, made the mistake of roaming too far towards the south, and so stumbled upon a wayward monk, one of those warrior-types that went around expelling and destroying anything that wasn't human to fulfill his self-righteous hubris. Upon hearing the news of a resident spirit "haunting" the village, said monk made his way over to "exorcise" the creature; he did not differentiate anything supernatural from what he claimed were "guai". En, on the way with birthing a child, could do little to stop him as her fields were burned and diseased. The villagers that once paid her homage had stopped meeting her. It took perhaps a few days and a few nights for the monk and a few discontent villagers to finally reach her. The monk, quite simply, tore the little one from her womb and expelled it from this world, back into the unknown. The exhaustion, compounded with the emotional shock that had followed, brought her into unconsciousness.

When she came back to, weeks later, she found her brand burned into her skin. She was chained in the steppes, the monk gone. The same could be said for anything that resembled her temple; all that remained was a group of sleazy young men, dragging all kinds of spirits too. Since then, she's alternated between farmer, laborer, liaison, and even once a literal whore. Her life has been dragged through many an owner, and for the longest of times, she hadn't had the slightest idea as to where she would end up next. Sure, she'd try to escape from time to time, and maybe she got as far as the next town before some monk or priest tracked her down and pummeled her back into submission. It came to the point where she simply resigned on the idea of escaping, and conceded herself to disgruntled servitude.

She was purchased by a prominent lord, following the new laws that came, to supplant the few elderly rice farmers left in the area, and so has remained a fixture of the guild ever since its establishment as goodwill. She usually oversees the fields the guild is in possession of, but with the demand raising ever-higher to have more participating Blades than farmers, she has been re-assigned to hunting down fellows spirits and humans.

Considering most spirits usually aren't forcibly locked into servitude, she considers most spirits opposed to the branding pansies. She's been through worse, which may be cause for her to sympathize. Unlike most spirits that prefer to speak in riddles and hints, En has all but forsaken the cryptic vernacular to speak plainly, even to the point where she comes off as rather blunt and easy to read. While hard and heavy-handed, she shows genuine concern for her targets, as she disliked the branding as much as they did at one time. Humans, unfortunately, do not get the same attention since she finds them frustrating in the way "how they demand change of the world, but rarely change themselves". She's tired of changing for others, at this point.

Skills- Dispassionate~ She can block out emotions such as love and desire if she feels that someone is trying to deceive her. The downside of this is that it usually causes her to actually feel some of the other emotions that she doesn’t want to experience. Extreme sorrow towards her losses in life which are things that never bother her usually.

Aware~ Whenever someone or something is trying to harm the plants or animals in the forest, she can sense it. However, she is a lost cause when it comes to sensing this kind of danger for herself.

Koroshi-au~ This style of offense mixes beauty with blood. The only thing that this teaches is to draw as much blood from your victim as possible. Her movements are fast and practically unable to keep track of. She usually kills with her hands which have nails as sharp as swords themselves in her Kodama form. Inserting her nails into them quickly but slowly drawing it back out. The attacks usually start off as simple slicing of the enemy but they grow deeper.

2H-Sword~ When she uses this form of her sword, it is usually to kill larger beasts and the such. Even though it is so large, she can easily hold it with one hand and aim for her target perfectly. If she misses, it won’t be too go for her since she will have to swerve back around quickly.
1H-Sword~ This form of the sword is to kill quickly and with less blood. The only bad part is that the handle of this form has sharp thorns which press against her, causing extreme pain. But this is the case for any form other than the 2H-Sword and the Pole arm.

Since she is usually in the nature, she knows many things about the resources around her. She can easily cook up a delicious meal with only the food that is being grown in the forest. Also, creating medicine and poison is very easy for her. All she needs is a small grinding bowl and the materials usually.

Well, let’s just put in here that her cooking skills are incredible. If you eat her food, your taste buds will be dancing afterwards. She doesn’t take cooking lightly and believes that a good meal can make some all the more merry.

When she is in her first form, she can let out a wonderful voice and sing lullabies. This is

Organic Farmer~ Farming is something that she loves to do and can do it even better with her powers. She believes that making food that you grew with your own hands is something that can make the meal taste even better.

Powers- Mother Earth Enchantress~ She can enchant just about any natural resource that she finds, revealing its true magical abilities. A simple flower could be used to cure arthritis. Nao will never know what it will reveal until she places it under the spell, causing her to automatically know what its uses are. There are rare cases when she can enchant things that were simply found in the forest. For example a weapon. The only difference is that it will always be poison or something harmful rather that something to help others.
Sweet shot~ She can create a hand cannon that forms around her almost immidiately when she wants it to or needs it to. It took her a long time to master this but natural at the same time. Fast and accurate, she can shoot up to 5 shots under 2 seconds with it. Made by vines, leaves, and any other plants. If they manage to hit you, they will knock you out rather than killing you. She carries around her bullets and can take them out with immense speed. They are filled with the poison from nerium oleander. They should kill you, causing an excessive amount of irregular heart rate but she managed to tune it down so that it simply caused you to pass out with a smile due to the sweet aroma that it spreads.
Sprout~ She has the ability to make her plants grow faster. Something that would make you wait a month to sprout would only take up to 2 weeks under this spell. The slowest it has ever gone was 3 weeks but that was for a plant that was supposed to take a year to finally grow more.
It's ok my angel~When she is in her first form, she can let out a wonderful voice and sing lullabies. This is only to make animals fall asleep or calm down but she loves to sing it just to relax them. It gives a sense of security to animals of all types.
Don't fuck with the animals~Causing an earthquake like effect, she can tear the ground under and in front of her when she is enraged. The attack is fast but not her fastest form of offense. This has only happened with a prank on her turned into a prank on the animals. RIP Yuuto.
Suicide~ This is a power that she usually uses when she is in her first form. It gives her the ability to make her voice hypnotic and kill easier. Whenever an animal is suffering and is in pain but is still trying to fight to survive, she uses this to make them want to die instead of trying to survive.
Forgotten~ This makes it so that someone can forget about her when they see her face. However, it comes with the downside of having to get the other person’s consent first. So, if someone sees her face in the hospital, she usually puts this spell on them. Opening her eyes wide and kissing them on the forehead is what does the trick. They usually wake up to realize that they have been brought to the entrance of the forest. There is a chance that it won’t work if you accepted but actually strongly wanted to remember her but this happens little to never.
Miner~ She can scope out around 160 square feet under her to search for a certain mineral or anything else buried underground. This helps greatly when she is in need of new minerals for medicine.
Castor blast~ One of her offensive blasts which causes a castor oil explosion at the designated area that she aims for. If it gets in your mouth, surviving won’t be likely. Just one miligram of the poison can kill an adult almost immediately.

Weapons/Equipment- She has a large of bottles hanging around her neck. They are filled with her enchanted medicine and other things.

Personality- Nao will most likely be gossiped about as that “rude bitch that thinks she’s better than everyone else.” and the reason is mostly her face. She doesn’t really smile when someone looks at her and she has a habit of rolling her eyes a bit when her head hurts. This doesn’t mean that she can’t show kind or any expressions… It simply means that it takes time to have her open up and actually smile. Her smile is surprisingly adorable but it hasn’t been seen by anyone other than the animals. The only form where she smiles alot would be her first form.

She is a sweet and kind girl that is very nervous without seeming like it. When people come up and talk to her, she will likely end up staring at you with a blank face for a while before finally responding with a simple “Hi.” or “What do you want?” because of the fact that she doesn’t understand why anyone would talk to her and already understands that her normal form looks rude. In her mind, she will usually be jumbling up possible responses to get them to continue talking to her and possibly become her friend.

Nao accepts everyone, hatred isn’t something she is accustomed to. She can find a way to love anything and everthing. Even if they try to kill her, if they are hurt enough and beg for mercy, she will nurse them back to health with open arms.

Her smile is usually evil-ish and snobby without meaning to. She loves to make others smile and admires people with that skill. However, her forms with a tailsman usually causes her to look happier and more lively to make up for it.

When you become her friend or someone that she thinks actually likes her, she will be less nervous around you. She does blush often but with a blank face. Nai has a habit of complimenting people that she thinks like her very often and will express your good parts happily.

Bio- Though most people have bad experiences with spirits or humans, she has had her share of both. Her parents weren’t bad people but all she remembers of them were that she neglected her and her father had a habit of hitting her when he was stressed. Her mother… She doesn’t really know much about her other than she loved to work.

They were killed when she was around 7. The same night that her father had caused a large bruise to form on her leg as well as a scar on her neck. The killers were a human and a spirit duo that came while she was supposed to be sleeping. When they killed them, she didn’t smile but she didn’t cry either. She seemed emotionless, as if it was inevitable.

She got horrible treatment from humans and spirits as well. Kodama's may be peaceful at heart but they tend to use violence when people enter forests that they were inhabiting. Not that she is one of these people. She was known as a “bastard” for a while before they just stopped bothering with her due to her lack of reaction. Horrible bullying from other kids when she was around 15. Getting tied up on poles while stripped down to her underwear, nearly raped, attacked by strangers, kidnapped, etc. Her parents didn’t care if they were spirits or humans, when they were alive money was money.

Her parents were a part of a black market that provided drugs and medicine to killers and poison, weapons, etc to people that wanted to kill someone. This was a large business that had grown out of control and they should of handled their matters better. Especially when it included actively helping crimes. They probably killed more than 10 people and helped kill much more.

However, her parents were in fact skilled. Using plants and other natural resources, they were able to create weapons and magnificent medicine. Because of this and her desire to help others, she now owns a secret hospital that most people know of by the name “Hidden Cure”

The place is in business but not she usually has a mask on if front of a patient as well as a sweet voice. Most times, she will put a memory-erase spell on them if they were to see her face. She has gained a lot of money from helping people with sick relatives and the such but she doesn't give out poison like her parents did. Her parents had money scattered everywhere which made her a rich girl immediately.

She has killed. Many people in fact. But more animals, due to sad circumstances that is not a meal. An ensanguine past for sure. Having to kill in order to survive as well as for other reasons. This is all cured when she goes out in the forest. The only place she can be happy. The only place she can truly be free and wash off the blood for a bit. She loves to go to the forest and simply pet the wild animals and pick a few plants for her hospital.

How she came to be in the guild- They were informed of a spirit that was living unbranded in the forests. People were afraid of her but most of the complaints came from people that knew her and knew that she had done no harm. However, others only knew of the fact that there was a girl that almost daily came into the forest and left bloody footprints as well as a face covered in blood.

When they came, she was creating a new acid with some new materials and once they came inside, she freaked out and nearly threw some on the guards. However, she calmed down and they scoped out the small hospital she had in the forest. They found out that she had cures to things that they were still attempting to cure with their own advanced technology.

She agreed to getting branded as long as she could continue to house the injured animals and run the hospital. They gladly accepted and now help her but she doesn't really need much help with making the medicine. Only things like up to date grinders etc. She gets the plant herself but knowing where to get some rare ones is nice. She doesn't like to have others get the plants due to the fact that she doesn't trust others with her medicine as well as her power is extremely powerful and enchanting the ones she picked herself with love works better than the ones others picked for her.

From the outside, it looks like a portal that leads to some stairs but it is actually leading to a long hole. Long enough to make you think your going to die at least. However, it leads to a comfortable mattress that cannot hurt you due to the fact that it is made out of layer and layers of leaves and is enchanted to do no harm. This tree is located in an ancient Kodama forest that no other Kodama's live in other than her. Used to be inhabited by others but they all left when she wouldn't. Pretty much everyone knows about the hospital but they don't know who owns it. All they know is where it is located. Inside of the ancient Kodama tree.

Singing - Lady Guan Du has been training in singing from a very early age. She is capable in singing in various ranges and has a rather beautiful voice.

Acrobatics/Dance - Besides song, Ru has been practicing in the acrobatic arts. Primarily this has been done for dance and high-flying routines by rope swinging.

Stage Fighting - Xiu Ru has not trained in fighting techniques proper. However there are certain roles where she needed to play various manners of fighter. She is able to portray fake fighting and make it look believable.

Hostess - Lady Guan Du has not neglected the art of being a proper hostess. She knows how to properly set up the environment for different occasions, is good at cleaning and can make adequate dishes when it is called for.

Powers:
Songbook of Harmonious Qi -Through the use of vocal incantation of song, Lady Ru can tap into the life force of the universe to achieve effects. Of course such effects only persist as long as the song keeps going. Lady Guan Du Xiu Ru can currently perform such pieces with a magical intent such as...

• Hymn of the Golden Crane: With a sense of quickness, Lady Ru can sing the uplifting hymn. By singing this song, Guan Du is granted the ability of speedy flight, and gleams with the the light of the golden feathers.
• War Chant of the Tiger Emperor: Taking a darker turn, Ru can sing the slow and methodical piece of the Tiger. By singing this song, Ru and allies have their physical strength and durability increased.
• Melody of the Dragon Sage: With a set of dreamy pitches, Ru sings the soft musings of the Dragon Sage. Through this song, she can heal the wounds of those injured. This song heals ailments such as stab wounds, cut flesh and other somewhat minor conditions. It is unable to heal really severe injuries like limb loss and full body impalement.

Bio: Lady Guan Du Xiu Ru is a consummate professional when it comes to her craft, making sure each performance is the best it can be. Yet Ru has a humble and dignified nature, and as such chooses to not revel in the limelight. When attention is focused to her off-stage, Lady Guan tends to shift it to others who were a part of it. Ru is a kind-hearted individual who enjoys serving and helping others.

Her story begins in the Karahai Peaks, a fertile region known for being the source of legendary tasting pears. Guan Du Xiu Ru had a simple life being groomed like her three other sisters.

The intriguing part of this stage of her life is when the Liaohou Opera Troupe came to town. She was awed by the magnificent of the male and female actors who performed incredible feats. As they were preparing to leave, young Ru begged her father and mother to let her talk to one of the actresses.

Fortunately they allowed Ru to speak to one of them. Xiu Ru desperately tried to impress her through song. The troupe member saw the potential in the young girl and asked her parents if they would allow her to join the troupe. Through much discussion, the parents agreed to the request.

And so, Guan Du Xiu Ru began to learn the ways of the troupe. Throughout her travels with the organization, the Liaohou Opera House Troupe had the pleasure of entertaining many Guild members. Xiu Ru was finding herself drawn to the Guild. After a few more performances and lessons she gave to younger members of the troupe, she headed off to join the Order.
