Pendulum || Turk || Junon, Abandoned Building || Turks (Landon) @Karl Kadaver and Sticks @Fuzzybootz
Penn could only watch as the hacker's original location exploded. There...was a bomb? Pendulum tried to act like she was surprised by the whole thing, but actuality she should have known. It was obvious that the hacker knew about Landon's location and would want to get rid of evidence as well. It should have been obvious from the get-go, but why hadn't she thought of it fast enough? Penn placed a hand on her aching forehead. At the moment, it was just her and a few others tech-savvy enough to handle this. With so many Turks and so little of them, it was getting overwhelming...to the point that she made such a stupid mistake as not alerting the others of a possible bomb.
She could hear Sticks pestering her about what the explosion was and if Landon was alright. Fortunately, she didn't have to say anything as Landon spoke to them. Although she didn't show it, a wave of relief washed over the young Turk, replacing her guilt and overwhelmed mind with determination and strength. She could do this.
"She's no longer on the rooftops and is instead using the alleyways to escape. Sticks, you're the closest, so enter the alleyway to your north followed by a sharp left turn. Keep going straight and you will cross paths with her. L-Landon..." Penn trailed off as the guilt made her voice crack. "Landon, the fastest way to get to the hacker would be to head to the west via rooftop. You might be able to spot the hacker from up above." She cursed herself, knowing that she couldn't leave the communication tower. Maybe that was for the best...
Laphicet Kyrielight || SOLIDER 1 || Junon, Military Base || Astral @Renny, Damien @Zarkun, Alain @Double and Caius @Sudkurve
Laphicet let out a shaky sigh as they lowered their head in shame, attempting to hide the tears with their bangs. Almost above all things, Laphicet hated being yelled at. They could hear it now, the shrill voices of the higher ups assaulting their eardrums, almost to the point that it made them want to vomit.
Still rooted in place, Laphicet noticed a familiar pair of legs walk past them followed by a gruff voice that was the closest thing to comfort. Astral was right, they had gone and will go through much worse. But just the mere thought alone was enough to make them weary. Nodding in slight acknowledgement, knowing that Astral probably didn't see it anyways, Laphicet wiped their eyes with a bandaged arm.
As they doing so, their communication device sprang to life, causing them to jump from the shock. They just let it ring for a little bit, hoping that Scarlet wasn't the one on the other side. With a little bit of praying beforehand, Laphicet picked up.
"Y-Yes..?" They responded with a wavering voice as they looked up and sniffled quietly. They could definitely hear noise in the background, and that coupled with the stern monotone voice was stressful. Laphicet quickly mumbled their confirmations before cutting the line off and letting out a little sniffle. They took a look at the others that were still there and opted to move towards Alain, seeing as he would probably be the most possible to be injured than anyone else. Once he was close enough, Laphi waved a hand in the air before giving Alain his undivided attention. "Are you a-alright, Alain?" They asked softly, arching their eyebrows almost curiously. They knew that they should probably be going soon, but everyone's safety was far more important.
