The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

Bio

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

It is not uncommon for me to lose track of time should I have nothing scheduled. Inverse to this, if I have a set series of events in a schedule, they are always met well in advance of their date.
Then it is time to see if there is any obvious sign of danger initially going down then. I cannot imagine there will not be but we will see soon enough.
As the first salvo of attacks bounced harmlessly off the shells of the eggs, the aspirant of the moon's domain heaved a breath of annoyance; the hand that bore the sword tightened, straining the leather and steel. A second attempt upon it would be waited out but after? There would be no choice but to press onward and downward, meaning into a likely awaiting trap. It was not the trap that the pale beast feared, it was not its creators either, but rather the fact that it meant going into one headlong without knowing what was there. Whiskers twitching slightly and drinking in the still red-touched atmosphere, the exhaled growl that followed carried with it this perceived annoyance.

"Try again." It said, starving jowls parting to utter the words to which both women beside it could tell were laced with frustration. Not at them, it was clear it had all the patience in the world for their efforts in this - the eggs must be destroyed after all - rather it would be a matter that needs another approach on failure. Each and every route they had encountered thus far felt the same in that sense and the transformed man could not rest, could not sleep, until either the enemy felled the paladin in battle or it killed enough of them to sate its animal desire.

Instead, with eyes that could pierce darkness, nose and ears attuned to subtle differences, did it try to see if they had missed something be it in the alcove they acted from or the passage leading down...

Admittedly I am expecting a trap due to those prior and all the kobolds but I would not be opposed to someone testing said key, @Hekazu. Someone with actual talent at investigating and searching, that is. The prior room with chest and dead kobold seems like some sort of elaborate trap as well but perhaps I am being much too cautious.
This seems like it might be a time for rope, assuming Kyra's arrows do not succeed. Allow me to know when you have posted, @Ryonara, that way Brannor may add in as well based upon that outcome. I presume @Norschtalen will try their hand at it too soon enough based upon that.
The amount of students who I have taught even just in passing following presentations or those similar alarm me. It is increasingly more apparent that none of them know much of anything about the world; I should not need to explain the function of ecology or the basic premises of life as a science as far as its interlinking components stretch. For some reason I need even tell them that all things are connected, those abiotic and those biotic at that, and the consequences of any one act, rather than them knowing or understanding this. For all my hope that one day this will be different, I fret it will never be enough.
There are times I truly do wonder if my lack of connection to what people regularly regard as valuable or meaningful is truly a loss. Those days I remind myself that most people do not even know what they are looking for in the first place, let alone when they have it.
Assuming no one adds anything else in the meantime, Brannor will prompt the bow wielding cleric to begin testing the strength of the eggs for them to contend with tomorrow.
Sounds as though a majority are in favor of dealing with the level of the cave the group is already in first, @Hekazu. On a related note for @Lucius Cypher, that seems to be a reasonable enough plan no matter the approach. No contest against it to be had here.
The holidays will pass silently and uneventfully for me yet again. I have always wondered what these grand family gatherings are that people often describe, those punctuated with some sort of petty drama or faux controversy, clashes of interests and lifestyles, but I have never experienced it. It leads me to question if it is a true thing or not.
