I used to love the holiday season as a kid, but these days I’m terrified that the strange man in red is going to break into my home again and leave another suspicious package under one of my plants.

Alright, that's it! I've had enough of this damn heat. Bring me my matches, it’s time to burn the sun down.

If there are 3600 rats living in my bones and I eat one every second, how long will it take me to eat all the rats? Assume each rat undergoes binary fission exactly once every hour.

Adventurer, the rats in my basement have merged into a fractal entity! I will pay you 4 silver coins to slay the infinite rat(s) in my basement.
That’s perfectly understandable, I usually use google docs for that but I recall you saying you couldn’t copy paste so I made an assumption about your methods. My mistake.
In any case I don’t think anyone is annoyed, but for those of us that check the notification when you first start writing I think it’s pretty easy to miss when you finish as there’s no new indication to say it’s done. I know I’ve missed one of your posts like that so I figured I’d make the suggestion.
@Dark Cloud I'm assuming your weird posting method is because you're using a switch but have you considered explicitly mentioning here when you finish a post? I keep on missing when you post because I don't get notifications for them after you first put them up and I wouldn't be surprised if other people were missing them like this in the same way.
More like I just can't read properly. In any case as unfortunate as it is I am 100% convinced that they are the enemy and no amount of evidence will change my mind.
You can't trust the vets. We're nothing but livestock to them. Stepping stones to total world domination. Any advise or help you receive from one is just a ploy to screw you over.
Aya had just in the process of asking one of her sisters if they would be willing to go hunting with her when a hand had touched her shoulder and it’s owner, another one of her sisters from the looks of things, had asked for her to come with them. Did this sister mean to go hunting with her?
Aya was trying to formulate a reply when she was distracted by yet another one of her siblings, the same one who’d been complaining about food earlier, as they conjured a rusty sword from seemingly nowhere. Huh? Even ignoring, for now, the fact that conjuring up the blades from nothing seemed to violate her entire current understanding on how the world worked, that power seemed incredible, could it be used to create anything? Probably not, why would anyone create a rusty sword if they had the option of creating something better and now that she looked Aya would be willing to guess that the sword was a copy of the identical one in the hands of one of the older goblins. Still, even if it were limited to copying items seemed like a beyond amazing power, and that wasn't even considering whether there were any other properties to the ability. Could it be used to instantaneously set traps? Could the created items be destroyed at will? Did the items exhibit the same properties as their originals?
The sword summoning sister was now calling for her siblings to come and eat the horn rabbits she’d apperently been using the sword to process, something Aya had been too distracted to notice. “Er… we should maybe get some food before anything else,” Aya said turning back to the sister that had tapped her on the shoulder earlier. Moving to eat her fill of meat Aya planned to just have a little, not wanting to draw the ire of any of her siblings by eating too much, though the moment she bit into the rabbit that plan had been forgotten in favour of eating as greedily as any of her other siblings.
Finally full Aya realised that the elderly looking goblin had been giving a speech, one she’d been too preoccupied to pay attention to. “Go forth and get stronger,” she’d caught that much at least, so it seemed she and her siblings were in fact expected to fend for themselves from now on. On the upside, she'd learned her name and it didn’t appear as though fending for themselves currently included kicking them out of the building, so, for now at least, it seemed that they would merely need to source their own food and tools. That seemed simple enough, though for some reason it filled Aya with dread, there were so many things that could go wrong. They could get attacked by any number of unknown creatures in unfamiliar terrain. Actually, now that she thought about it why were her siblings all so preoccupied with gathering weapons, if even the rabbits, creatures Aya could only assume were herbivores, had horns like that, she could be pretty confident that the predators around here must be even scarier and it wasn’t like goblins seemed all that strong, quite the opposite in fact. Shouldn’t they be thinking of ways to avoid the fight instead? Berries were a possibility, but she wasn’t confident in her ability to identify safe from otherwise and she didn’t really want to annoy the older goblins by asking for help immediately after being told to fend for herself. Ambushes also seemed to be out of the picture, too much of a risk of it devolving into a normal fight if things went wrong and given the vast amount of unknown variables something going wrong seemed likely. That left traps as the best option Aya could think of, it didn't really help with the lack of information, but then again Aya couldn't think of a single thing that did.
“Sister Krisna,” Aya began turning back to the sibling that had tapped her earlier and somehow managing to immediately get her name wrong, “I think our siblings are trying to gather weapons to hunt, but- er, I think that might be a bad idea. We’re small and our food probably already has weapons.” Aya gestured towards horn rabbit, “Maybe it would be better if we set a trap to avoid fighting anything head-on? We could probably lure something into a pitfall if we tried, though I’m not sure how we’d bait it unless it was chasing us and that’s probably a bad idea… Or maybe we could use sister Ker’s ability to make a rope and devise a trap with that, using a branch or a rock or a net or something,” Aya suggested, her voice gradually growing in excitement as she thought up ways to deal with the issue at hand and got yet another sibling's name wrong.
Caught up in her thoughts Aya didn’t even wait for a reply from Krishna or stop to make sure she was following as she ran up to goblin Kir, intent on trying to recruit her to the cause. “...” Aya’s voice choked as soon as she opened her mouth to speak and realised she’d forgotten to properly think through a recruitment speech, incentive or anything else to get Kir on her side. That had been an important part of the plan.
I'm just concerned by the image of a child with arms almost as tall as they are which is almost as funny as it is horrifying. Are the horn rabbits normal rabbit-sized or larger?
