"Here we are," Ravdur said softly to himself as he landed in front of his black ice temple. A place that, to his knowledge, no mortal has found, and only Vjera knows of the place. She has yet to arrive with her warriors, and it gave him some time to think about things as he walked into the temple. Feeling the walls of the temple with his hands as he walked.
The aid he has given to the mortals. Has he given too much? True, the mortals have to deal with what gods create in this world. Both the good and the bad. They have to be strong to survive in this world with gods which some clearly do not care about them or the planet. The weak will die if they are not ready for what this world has in store for them.
Then again, maybe he is just favoring the Eosin with his aid. Since most of his ice golems are in the Taiga region of the world and not elsewhere. Guarding Eosin settlements mostly. Will that make the Eosin, his creation, weak? Maybe, Maybe not, that has yet to be seen, but the last thing he wants is for the Eosin to be a weak race.
After entering the temple, it was dark, but this did not bother Ravdur. He simply smiled, and at the snap of his fingers, all of the torches in the temple lit up, and the darkness instantly went away. The temple was bare, unlike what you would normally expect of a temple. It only hosting the instructions on how to find black ice, how to harvest it, and, more importantly, how to make weapons, armor, and more from it. In a language that any mortal can understand, and that got him thinking.
Yes, he did cure Vjera of the Beast Curse, and maybe just maybe, one more boon to the mortals would not hurt. Some way to counter the corruption in this world. So Ravdur using his power, creates a new kind of ice, Holy Ice. An ice that can be created and forms on the corrupted part of a living thing or object or place as it absorbs the corruption until it covers the corruption completely. Once the corruption is gone, it melts into harmless water. At the same time, claiming the aspect of purification in the process.
"Done," he said with a satisfied grin and another addition to the temple. With this done, Ravdur departed the temple and went to his realm in the Stormbreaker mountains. Hoping that this latest addition can do some good once the mortals discover it. Which would probably be Vjera and her warriors once they arrive. Until then, he will rest at his caste for a time before heading out into the world again. To see what else his fellow gods have brought to this world. Into his new home and what good and bad comes from it.
Ravdur thinks about his actions in aiding the mortals while creating a new type ice that would help to purify people and things of corruption and leaving instructions on how to make it in his black ice temple. While claiming the aspect of Purification in the process. Then heading to his castle for a time and heading out into the world again.
Spent 4 MP = Claim Purification Aspect = 3, Places information on how to make and use Holy Ice and use it for purification in the Black Ice Temple = 1. Spent 3 AP = Holy Ice - An ice that can be created and forms on the corrupted part of a living thing or object or place as it absorbs the corruption until it covers the corruption completely. Once the corruption is gone, it melts into harmless water.
Ravdur had been watching the Eosin for a while from afar and sees that they have organized themselves into clans. Dispersing into the Taiga region and forming settlements. One per clan, and Ravdur decides to visit one but changes his form to be a middle age Eosin. But, as he ventures close to the small settlement. He sees that the gates are wide open but outward, no sentries at the watchtower, and things are quiet. Too quiet, and as he nears the gates, he can see claw marks on the inner side of the gate from an animal he does not recognize but, but the marks are fresh. Getting up Ravdur enters the settlement.
The first thing he sees are bodies, a good amount of them. Some Eosin and some beast. As Eosin started to search for survivors, he noticed a body move, and as he turned to it, in its pained scream. "Look out!"
As the words rang out in the corner of his eye. He spots a recently turned Eosin, getting up and running straight to him. But Ravdur was faster, and by the time the beast jumped at him. Ravdur pulled out Frostbringer, and in one move. Swung and connected with the beast's chest and sent it flying back to the ground. Ravdur watched for a moment to see if it would get back up, and it just stayed where it lay, unmoving.
"Coward," the pained voice spoke again.
Ravdur turned to the pained voice and walked towards it. Next to a dead beast was a female Eosin on the ground and clearly in pain. Medium-length black hair and several tattoos on her body. Several claw marks on her body. Along with a bloodied axe next to her. "What happened here?" He asked emotionless.
"Beasts is what happened, and I failed." Ravdur could hear the sadness in her pained voice.
Ravdur raised an eyebrow, "you failed?"
"I tried to save my brother when the monsters broke through the north gate. I was ordered to leave him behind, but I could not do that. He is dead now and soon...." She started to spasm for a moment. 'I will become a monster like them and stranger if you have any mercy in you.... kill me."
Then her body started to spasm once more, and this time. She started to change and turned into a monster. As Ravdur backed off, the female Eosin, now a beast, charged and jumped at him. Only instead of swinging at her. Ravdur, when she was close, caught her with his right hand. Holding her in place above the ground as she tried to claw at his godly flesh. Failing to pierce his skin. "No," he said as his eyes started to glow brighter. "No, this is not the fate of a noble warrior like you."
After saying that, blue energy forms around Ravdur's hands and goes into her body. Again her body starts to spasm, and Ravdur drops her. Soon her beastly features started to recede until she is normal again. Ravdur creating her clothes and armor as hers were torn off by the beastly transformation.
On the ground and unsure of what just happened. She looked up at Ravdur with relieved confusion and was sitting up. "H.... how do you... I am me again and... I do not know how you thank you for this."
Ravdur looking down at her with a vague hint of warmth. "The Beast Curse is not an easy curse to break, but I have judged you worthy of evading that fate."
"Beast Curse and judged me?" Sounding confused and getting up from the ground. Staring Ravdur straight in the eyes. "Who are you, stranger?"
"Ravdur," and as so of saying his name. He changed his form from an Eosin to his normal form.
The Eosin was flabbergasted and quickly kneeled down and bowed. "By the gods, creator!"
"Stand up, there is no need for this."
The eosin quickly got up and was just awestruck.
"What is your name?" He asked emotionlessly.
"Vjera of clan Voronin."
"Well, Vjera of clan Voronin. I have judged you worthy and have freed from you the Beast Curse. A curse that turns those infected into beasts."
"It is a curse? I have heard tales of people turning into beasts, but I did not believe it."
"It is real I have a task for you, Vjera."
"What is it, my creator?"
"Call me Ravdur, and I want you to gather what strong and honorable warriors that are willing to fight monsters and beasts you can find and meet me at a temple made of blackish ice. He mentally gave the location of the temple to Vjera. "Once you have gathered your warriors, then we will discuss why I have had you gather them. And one thing before I go, why did you call that beast a coward?" Motioning to the dead beast that he killed.
"That was Bretik, one of the warriors who was supposed to help defend our home from the beasts but chose to flee instead of fighting. He still got infected nonetheless, and it is a good thing that he is now dead."
Ravdur made a reaffirming nod, "good to know, and until then, Vjera." He made a small smile, "good luck," And as soon as he finished speaking, he left Vjera and the ruined settlement behind and quickly vanished from Vjera's sight. With a newfound purpose, Vjera gathers what supplies she can get before heading out to fulfill their task, and she will try not to let Ravdur down.
Meanwhile, as he travels away, he makes more ice golems, about three hundred, and they disperse throughout the land. Thinking that he made too few the first time and hopes this helps some.
Ravdur in disguise, visits an Eosin settlement only to find it abandoned after it was overrun by beasts infected with the Beast Curse and deems a survivor, Vjera, worthy and purifies her of the curse. Then giving her a task to collect strong and honorable warriors willing to fight monsters and beasts and return to the Black Ice Temple once she was done. There they will discuss Ravdur's plan for them. Along with making three hundred more Ice Golems.
Spent 4 MP = Purify/Cure Vjera of the Beast Curse 3 AP = Making Three Hundred more Ice Golems
Really.... standing in the rain, still waiting to enter, and these guards want to shake down the humans in the group. Aelia silently sighed, and she guessed it was a good thing that she was not human. But, still, it isn't right, and maybe these guards are willing to just accept the coin purses that human put out and leave the rest alone. Since it appears that the rest of the humans are broke, or they could just be lying. And she would not blame them if they are, and maybe these guards are dumb enough to believe it.
Still, until these guards accept the possible lie. She, like the rest, are stuck in the rain, and Aelia is not sure how long until her cloak gets too wet and she starts to feel wet. She signed again, the first time in a demon city, and this happens. Not the best first impression, and she and her group are not even inside yet. Well, all she can do is hope that they can deal with this shakedown peacefully and it does not escalate into doing someone will regret. Not like these guards are that violent.
Ravdur after, making his trip around the planet, had finally settled back in the taiga region of the world. Near the Stormbreaker Mountains is where he landed. He has seen much of the world, and itfilled him withr and disappointment. While he is appreciative of the godly works he has seen, some of his fellow divines' work has made him think about things.
Like the Bloodmire in the south, a swamp filled with blood instead of water and hosts an assortment of hostile creatures. Such a dangerous place. That and the word of mortals being turned into monsters after being bitten. But, the infamous wonder he has his mind on is the Malignancy. Yes, he did expect his fellow divines to add to this world but, not like this. Perhaps him being naive about the nature of gods is the result of sleepy wandering in the void for so long. And such naivety can not last at this rate and so Ravdur harden himself in response to this.
Weakness like this is not allowed, and he does not want to make a mistake in dealing with his fellow gods. Which despite his travels, Ravdur has only met one goddess, the goddess Myrtu and a strange goddess at that. He has been isolated from his fellow divines long enough, he thought. He needs to meet with his fellow gods. To get a sense of them, or at least the ones he can find.
Though as he thought of his next move, another thought came to him. If this world is going to be truly his new home, then he needs somehow to call his own. Then he turned to look up at the mountains near him, and a smile formed on his face. "There is where I will stake my claim," Ravdur said to himself.
But, he before leaving for the mountain top, Ravdur decided on giving the mortals of this world a little edge against monsters and other threats of this world. So with his power, Ravdur created before him one hundred beings made out of ice. But not just normal ice but a special version of it. So these beings can better withstand punishment from threats. Wtih his first words to them as his eyes glowed bright, and so did theirs. He ushered his command to them. "Your purpose is to protect settlements and their people from harm. From any threat that might attack them, and if a settlement is destroyed, then protect the survivors and if all are dead, then find a new settlement to guard. Is that understood," Ravdur barked at them, and the ice golems simply nodded yes. "Now move across this land and became the protectors you were made to be." His eyes returned to their normal brightness, and the ice golems' eyes stopped glowing and then quickly departed the scene.
Content of the purpose of his new creations, Ravdur left the scene and ventured high to the mountain top of a part of the Stormbreaker Mountains. There he used his power to create a home for himself on the mountain top. His hands glowing with blue energy raised high as his home, looking like a castle made of black stone formed, seeming from nothing. Once he was done, Radvur did a quick tour of his new home, and his last stop was the viewing area, where he could see all around. From the taiga to the steppe and that godly eyesore that is the Malignancy.
Still, he was once again content, and before he went out in the world once again. A warrior like himself needs a weapon, even if he may not need it, he is starting to off without one. So with the rest of his power. Ravdur created, Frostbringer, a hammer that not only deals ice damage and can use ice attacks but can switch from two-hand to one-hand modes on the fly. So with Frostma at his waist. Ravdur departed his home and out into the world once again.
Ravdur after his tour of the world, conducted that he needs to meet with his fellow gods to get a sense of them and seeing some of the dangers that the mortals faced. Created one hundred ice golems that serve to protect what settlements they can find. Along with creating a realm for himself in the Stormbreaker Mountains in the form of a large castle located on a mountaintop in the Stormbreaker Mountains. Lastly, creating a weapon himself called Frostbringer before venturing out into the world again.
Just info about them, and this is what they look like
Ice Golem They stand at nine feet tall, and are made of Regice. Their purpose is to protect settlements and their people from outside threats. They have limited speech and can voice when danger is coming but are not sentient. Normally one or two ice golems guard a settlement. If a settlement is destroyed and the golem is still active, then it protects the survivors of the settlement, and if there are no survivors, then it moves on to another settlement.
A special type of ice that like Black ice can never melt. It is able to regenerate at a moderate rate when damaged and is only found so far in the ice golems.
A war hammer that not only deals ice damage when hit and can use ice attacks but can switch between a two-handed and a one-handed mode on the fly.
Interactions: Poppy and anyone else in the training area
It did not take long for Desmond to round up everyone and assemble in the training area. He was the first to arrive and took his time to look at the training course that Poppy has made. "Uh, diffident than what I am used to, but this sure to be fine," speaking out loud. Even though he bets that this will not be a simple training course. Still, he has done well, with training courses back in his home settlement, even if this one is diffident from the ones he is used to.
So, as Desmond was readying himself when Poppy said that the objective of the course was to catch her. His eyebrow raised at the news, so this is going to be interesting, Desmond thought to himself. No way is she going to make this easy, and this is sure to be a challenge. Wearing a smile, "I see Poppy, and I am sure that you will make us work for catching you." True be told, he forgets how fast Poppy can run but with those wings, it should not be a problem for her. Just time to see who will have the honor of catching her, if anyone can, that is.
