Yuri Alensev, "The scarred madman"
(the closer you get to him the more one would notice that his entire right side seems to be scarred and twisted, the old tears in his flesh crossing here and there, some once deeper than others. On that side of his face, he seems to be missing part of his ear, and his eye has a slightly milky color to it. None of this seems to impact his abilities as a hunter however.)
(the main coat and hat are black in coloration, with the shoulder/neck portion being a lighter tan color. The designs/buttons are a mix of dark red materiel and a gold materiel)
Age:27
Personality:To say that there is two sides to Yuri would be an understatement of the highest degree. Like the sides of a coin, each one of these 'sides' is a different, yet necessary part of the whole. On one side we have the good natured Yuri, someone who doesn't speak much, and seems to know more than he lets on. But primarily he is someone who would go well out of his way to help someone in trouble. Someone who would sacrifice to preserve everything he believes in, a good person.
And on the other we have the wild-eyed, cackling madman that was once Yuri. Ditching the self sacrificing virtues of its other face, this side seems to delight in the spilling of blood, seemingly unaware of it's own wounds, it will drive at it's target, annihilating any who get in it's path. A monster, and a weapon.
Yet, once someone gets to know Yuri, gets to a point of understanding, they begin to realize. The sides are not random, they do not, or (more simply) cannot come and go as they please. With the quiet, well meaning Yuri making up the vast bulk of the time one will spend with the man. but if pushed and pushed, or if the call of combat and blood overwhelm him, the monster emerges, it's cackling laugh signifying its arrival. It is because of this Yuri has garnered a reputation as a reliable comrade among his friends, and as a reaveing monster among those who would call him foe.
Brief History:Rumors and stories abound about the man known as Yuri, few good. Most involve some sort of run in with magic in his childhood, which is what gifted him his scars and... unique personality. Some say it was a sort of fire blast, that cooked his head as well as his flesh, others say it was a ritual that warped his body and mind. But despite all of these whispering, no one could deny that he was effective, he proved that the night of his first recorded hunt.
It was a simple matter, more clean up job than a true hunt, nothing the then 20 year old Yuri should have had a problem with. The veteran hunters laughed about this as they left the rookie to sweep the last of the area, their voices carrying off into the night as they looked for the stash of wine one of them had brought along and to be honest Yuri didn't mind. It was quest work, and easy work to boot, what could be better right? If only it was so. But like every job, there were variables that no one bothered to take into account, among them being that their might be more targets than reported. Such as the small group Yuri ran into in his sweep.
It was the sound of combat and screams that brought the veteran hunters racing back to the grounds, each of them frantically looking for the source of the emanations, and what they found would only be repeated in snippets around dieing campfires for years to come. What they found was the remains of what seemed to be a slaughter, the cackling, hunched form of Yuri clutching his scythe that dripped with the sanguine remains of the dead.
From that moment Yuri became a weapon of the hunters, often times being sent on what would amount to suicide missions that catered to the monster more than the man.
Signature Weapon: A long shafted scythe, with a longer blade that folds away into the shaft (it is deployed and retracted by a hidden mechanism built into the weapon. The blade is actually sharpened to the midway point on the usually blunt, back portion of the blade. His combat style is an erratic, deadly dervish. Elegant, yet random.
Things they look for in a partner:Ultimately the ability to look past the scars and his other self ranks the highest, but ultimately someone he can feel at rest with, someone who appreciates his company as much as he appreciates theirs
Pets/Familiars:A crow that began following him around a long while ago, it has not been named as of yet
