Since it's been so quiet for a while, i thought i'd start a discussion.
How did everyone start with this RP business? I myself, started RPing a year ago, totally by chance.

I consider myself a pretty fluent English speaker. I'd been studying English for about 11 years and last year I managed to get the CPE with an A. My teachers over the years always told me that my essays/ reports/letters/proposals etc they make you write there were excellent and asked me if i write on my free time and to their surprise I always said no. The thing is, I never really "studied" English like most foreign students do. I consider myself self-taught. I watched A TON of movies. With and without subtitles. I searched the internet for practically anything. A word i didn't know? Google. A phrase that i had difficulty remembering? Google. I payed attention to class too but I was really lazy when it came to doing homework [still am]. All those years of "studying" to say, resulted in me being literally a walking dictionary ¬.¬ . That's where my inner grammar nazi comes from as well. Since I know a stupendous amount of words and how to spell them, I always get a little irritated when people spell something wrong.

Well, after i finished my studies I thought to myself "Ok, now that you have finished, what will you do with all this knowledge?". I started writing short stories on my own but I quickly got bored with It. I wanted interaction. To be surprised by something unexpected. If everything came from inside my head then why would I write It down if they were already in there. Too much hassle really. So I searched around and stumbled upon the RPing section of the Minecraft forums. I didn't even know that you could roleplay like this. I only knew of tabletop rping. Therefore you can imagine my surprise. It was exactly what I wanted and after some browsing, I found a proper rping forum, RPG. I settled here and have been rping here since Sep 2012.

"Hngg..." Sho grunted as he climbed up the cliff. He stood up and took a deep breath in, breathing the fresh air of the mountains. On the horizon, Magnolias' lights could be seen. It had been almost two days since he contacted Master Jamie who told him to return back to the guild. Although Sho would prefer he had stayed on the mountains a little longer so he could perfect his new techniques, he longed to see how everyone was doing, even though he hadn't even met some of the members of the guild. Sighing, he started descending the mountainside, heading towards East Forest and Fiore.
