@RumikoOhara Accepted! Not sure why.... but I feel like she is going to hand out a few phone numbers with that friendly Hufflepuff style haha
@Dynamo Frokane

Understood. I will make the character my own for sure with backstory, goals, and other aspects. Was more wondering if we were allowed to borrow power sets from known characters. We are right as rain :)
@Loki Odinson

Good Questions! As we will now be having characters coming from multiple schools I think we will have the role play start with everyone posting them arriving to a Port Key that will take them to the start of the role play which will be Egypt's version of Diagon Alley Diagon Alley.

The role play will start one week AFTER students ended school giving everyone a chance to see their families and pack for the different destination. I am keeping how everyone will travel to Egypt a surprise for now, but it will involve magic pulling them to Egypt.
I would love to learn more as well!
@Dynamo Frokane would having characters based on super heroes from comics be possible? I have an idea for a character based on Daredevil I wouldn't mind exploring, but want to make sure that is okay first.
@Loki Odinson Accepted. What a fun character! I am excited for you to share the new school with this role play!

@Ejected Accepted. Great details! Hopefully the class doesn't miss their muggle bus cause she is getting ready in the morning :)

I welcome both of you to put your character sheets in the CS thread.

Do either of you have any questions for me by the way? Happy to answer them
@Silver Carrot

But to hid so well that it almost is impossible to find seems just mean (Especially when the place they hid it is impossible to find when on the phone.
@DeadbeatWalking

I am not denying that at all. When I was on here years ago that was a very standard practice and I was never denied for it. If that was the only reason then okay, but the feedback was I was missing a bunch of things so I figured I missed other hidden prompts and whatnot.

I used to be a GM and always found the hidden code to be a neat idea but in the end it didn't stop people from flaking. Rather it often seemed to add to the brain drain of getting it all set up and that meant people quitting before the role play even started.

Fun fact though - It was also the fact that I more or less found the writing prompt not by actually finding the code in the raw code form (Which is impossible on a phone) but I read everyone else and noticed a pattern.

Like I said I am rusty and it seems the culture of this website has shifted. I will just need to learn it again.
@AmethystDagger

I must say I would actually like to hear more about the first option you have in your list

Djinn/Boy Who Discovered Her Lamp

This actually sounds rather fun! Would you want it to take place during modern times? If you would like to have this disucssion in PM let me know and we can move it there.
I will be the first to admit I am rusty at RPing (Been about 3 years since I was active on this site last)

But the weird puzzles of rules and traps that GM's seem to be laying out for people applying to join their role play seems almost evil at this point.

I just got asked not to apply because I supposedly broke some rules that were hidden in the raw link text of the character sheet post. It also took me nearly 10 minutes just to find the part for the application post scene description.

Simply put is this the norm now? Cause I never did that stuffs when I was a GM.
