Chugging along now-armed forces are looking like a mix of undead and human-with the heroes being vampires and...well, I'm making the relationship legit symbiotic between humans and vampires-vampires need blood, but by transferring a portion of that blood back to the human donor, they strengthen the human as well.
Handy way to justify badass heroes. :p

Jinx waved his hand excitedly in front of Pent, gesturing at the landscape gesturing before them. "Just think about how much character we'll build out there, sleeping underneath the open sky, totally exposed to the elements~!"
"Oooooh! Maybe if we're lucky we'll get to sleep in a cave filled with Zubat!"
He remained chipper and seemingly sincere throughout.
