You know that feeling when you feel like you should be doing something, recognize that you're not doing anything, but then proceed to continue to do nothing? That's me. Everyday.

Questions:
Is Aether restricted to Sun and Moon, wind and water respectively?

The Aetheric Engine. How exactly does it work? I don't need a scientific explaination for this magical object, but I'd just like to know how exactly it aids the ships in this world.

Adding onto that: Ships. How advanced in seafaring tech are we talking here?

Also,
I'll have to consult with the world codex about cute mermaid girls. I'm going to go with a maaaaybe since this setting is more anime than grungy Kevin Costner.

I await confirmation on waifu. It will determine whether or not I run goil or boi
(Also, you just HAD to skip over me sandbagging that movie, didn't you)

I had to instantly reply after seeing waterworld. The "paper scene" was all I could think of.

This rp is based off of many fantasy stories and games that deal with a more beautiful post-apocolypse: the waterworld theme!

I'm interested, btw.

Also if there are no mermaid waifus I'm starting a mutiny first chance I get

Xiro is working on a post, I believe. But as far as active players we have myself, Tojin, Superboy, you, and generally Terg but he has been a bit busy lately. I believe the only ones who are inactive are Narc, Shy (who took a break from the RP), and Primal.

22 Days Later, after announcing that he would make a post right after Tojin.

...In my defense, Groundhog Days suck ass.

As the ogre tooth dropped into the azure of liquid mass, Ochre kept his eyes on the fluid itself rather than the mid-fall object inbound towards it. His attentiveness was probably what allowed him to notice the coolness of the air, solidifying his every breath while the liquid churred beneath his gaze, and enabled him to begin connecting the dots. What substance could possibly be cold enough to turn air into visible mist, while paradoxically sustaining a liquid state? The epiphany occurred merely moments after the tooth impacted with the mass, the enamel-based object quickly frosted over by the frigid nature of the fluid mass, the frost creeping towards his fingers at a speed he couldn't have possibly accounted for.

Thankfully, that was what party members were for, as a voice quickly shouted out towards him while he was still stunned with shock. "Watch those fingers, Ochre!" the voice called out, before a small, alarmingly fast object smashed through the climbing frost before it could reach his digits. The shatter of ice snapped him out of his daze, and the armorsmith backpedaled at a rate faster than most would have seen out of him in their entire lives until he was a good twenty feet away from the azure channel. A small glance let Ochre recognize the visage of his savior, the musician Tiferet, and he sent her a small nod of thanks, a hint of relief within his gaze. He didn't have much time to thank her further, however, as the mass of flowing liquid began to rise from its containment. Slamming itself onto the stone with a loud thud, Ochre's misgivings were realized as it divided itself into multiple entities.

Frost Slimes. Elemental brethren of the common slime that have gained the ability to generate ice, as seen by the creeping rime that spread itself away from the frozen entities and towards Ochre and the rest of the party. The young man took merely a few moments to take all of this in, breathing deep to calm himself from the previous shock that had overridden his usual demeanor. It wouldn't be very efficient to panic, after all. His future self would only chew himself out for how much energy he had spent on an outburst that could have been conserved for other things. Like the trek towards the comfiest bed possible after this all was over.

At some point, he couldn't tell when, himself, Ochre had closed his eyes, only to reopen them as he moved into action. Resuming his earlier movement of backpedalling, the armorsmith moved to regroup with his companions as slowly as he dared, the latent magic within his form brought to life by his will as it swirled into being. Upon his open palms, a circular insignia formed itself from his magic alone, tiny intricate symbols of an unknown language etching themselves within its boundaries while the armorsmith concentrated on their creation. A mental "ting" echoed within his mind as the magic circles completed themselves, and the young man crouched down momentarily to press them into the flooring at different periods of his retreat, their forms expanding greatly beyond their previous size as they contacted with the stone, only to fade as if they had never existed in the first place. His actions seemed useless, until a pair of the larger frost slimes pulled themselves onto the general location where one of the circles had been placed. Instantly, the insignia flared to life once more around the two entities, glowing with a yellow light before both of the slimes were electrocuted by the magic compressed within it, the glow fading as the two figures lost their form and promptly disseminated across the stone floor.

It was only a paralytic spell trap, not exactly powerful when it comes to dealing damage, but they should at least slow the opposition down while the party thought up a strategy to efficiently defeat their foes. By the time he had reached the rest of the group, he had set about a half-dozen of his traps along the way, aside from the first two that had already been tripped. As he reached the forming circle of wayfarers, a new duo of spell traps were already forming in his hands, their creation speed boosted by the song of <Kronos> Tiferet had buffed the party with. While he did not say much in the case of his small blunder, his grunt of subdued irritation vocalized his annoyance with the situation at hand. Setting his traps just before he slotted himself into the forming circle of party members, his dominant hand unsheathed the Griffzungenschwert he kept at his side, and held it at the ready in the face of the threat surrounding them. It wouldn't do much, really, as slimes were relatively immune to physical damage, but being able to smash the creeping ice before it could affect any of the party is better than doing nothing.
Arin Fogcrest
Uknown Cavern, Gorgonite Vale
Interacting w/ @Sloth @Sola

Arin, awakening from a longer-than-usual slumber, was greeted to the faint sound of voices, the feel of metal under his body, and a throbbing headache.

A groan, that he would probably swear on his life wasn't pitiful at all, was released as he pushed himself up from the cold hard floor, a hand to his temple as he tried to remedy the deep pain he felt in his noggin. Through half-lidded, strained eyes he could see that he was in some sort of metal cage set up within a dark, dimly lit cave, with four other similar cages near his own with their own occupants inside. Well, at least two, with one empty and the other with an elf inside and a human standing outside, both mentioned metal containers with doors wide open. After some simple deduction, the halfling concluded that the human had probably escaped their cage, and was helping the elf escape as well.

Or the human was apart of the group holed up in this dump, and was ferrying the prisoners one at a time. That seemed like the more likely option, since the man had a weapon on his person, and none of the other prisoners did, including himself. With an internal sigh, he kept himself from foolishly calling out on the off chance that the human was actually one of the guards posted in here, and instead took his time to study where he was in more detail. After all, knowing the environment will aid his eventual escape, and he will be escaping from this mess. He, an entity seeking to rise above all, was not going to allow some rowdy bunch to get the drop on him and merely let them do as they wished.

After about a minute of searching from his place in the cage, having shuffled up to the bars to peer a bit easier into the dim lighting, Arin came to realize that this wasn't some random cave at all. Rather, it was an abandoned mine near the north of the vale, and most likely one commissioned by Halfhaven at that. Despite the situation, he began to chuckle under his breath, the acoustics of the cave most likely allowing the others to hear and notice him if they haven't already. Well, whoever got him into this mess, they probably haven't moved that far from where he had holed up, himself. Maybe, if he was lucky, they might have even gotten him closer to his destination. Well, no matter the case, he prepared himself to get the hell out of here as soon as possible, his gaze moving back to the duo once more as he finally took the leap of faith to call out to them. At worst, he'd get some wounds, and at best, he was set free. A good chance, if he'd ever seen one.

"Oi, you. The one with the sword," Arin started, standing to his full height in the cage as he tried to stare the human dead in the eye. Which was a pretty annoying feat when he thought about it, seeing that their height difference was greater than a foot. "If you're rounding up this room of caged prisoners to get out of this crapheap of a cave, count me in. There's probably a hell of a lot more foes in this abandoned mine than what the two of you can do alone. I'll kick their asses with or without your help, but I thought it would be a friendly gesture to lend my aid while you're still here."

...Fuckin' whoops. I thought I replied, and yet I didn't XD
Ooooooh booooooy. It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here. Arin's quick demise adventures with some other folks.
Yo tampoco. ¿Podemos hablar inglés por favor?

It's probably former, cause RPG should have scaled the pictures down after you make them an avatar, iirc. I don't know entirely though, so don't take my word for it XD
