@Regitnui@Esailia It looks like the applications have stopped coming in, so I'd say we'll start within the next day or so. I wanted to give everybody a chance to make their characters because due to the nature of the RP, people won't be able to jump in later.

@Nagariin Okay, along with everything else we talked about, swap out the healing pot with salves and you're approved.

@checkeredsoul The rose bushes are fine, but I'm a little confused about the tree ability. Do those wither away without focus too? Make sure they do because magically generating survival materials defeats the purpose of a survival/exploration RP.

@NagariinOkay, so we're good on the magic powers then. Healing potions trivialize the survival elements of the RP, so I would say make them salves that can be applied to a wound and aid the natural healing process. Do that, and you're good to go.

@Dusty You are approved.

@checkeredsoul Everything else looks okay. Just fix the magic bit.
@PharaohAtem Both of those abilities, as you described them, are too powerful for this RP. Transmutation might be okay, but I won't allow anything as powerful as Fullmetal Alchemist transmutations. Like, the ability to extract pure metal from a raw ore, or remove poisonous substances from plants once identified is the level of power I'd want that to be kept at. Let me know what your idea is.

@Nagariin The Leviathan Blade is too powerful. A buster sword is way too heavy for anybody with human of strength to wield, and adding a defensive barrier to an offensive technique is too much. My suggestion would be having Numbo manifest as a wraith blade. I would allow it to phase through solid matter while still dealing magical damage, but at the same time, it would not be able to block anything. I would also have something like this have a very limited duration before a recharge period. Like, it would be good for one attack, because something like this is already very powerful for the scope of the RP. Also, upon looking at your profile again, I noticed you have "healing pots." Please describe exactly what those are.

@Esailia Perhaps you could consider the term Mithra from Final Fantasy XI. You should look them up.

@Force and Fury Very nice bio! He's approved.

@DocTachyon Looks very good. Approved.

@BangoSkank Looks good to me. Approved.

@Drunk Uncle Bob With those alterations, your character is approved.

@checkeredsoul Better, but I would still want you to pick either plant or fire magic. Also, I'd like you to be more specific on the plant magic if you pick it. What kinds of plants can she grow? Rose Bushes? Small trees? It's still a bit vague what she can actually do. I will say that manipulating plants she didn't create is out, and rapidly growing plants that could be used as food/medicine/supplies is also out. That would trivialize the idea of exploring and finding useful things. Perhaps they wither away without constant focus.
In the world we are coming from what kind of fantasy creatures did we have?

I'd say traditional Western fantasy stuff. Also, I'm just going to have to nerf your character a tad. His plant/animal empathy already gives him quite a lot of power in this RP considering he has a falcon he can share senses with. You can keep the claymore because he's so damn big it's probably just a comfortable size for him, but I would say give him only rudimentary sword skills. I also wanna trim down the crazy stuff he can do with arrows. You can keep the guided arrows. I feel the most thematically sound arrow enchantments would be drill, splitting, and ricochet, so you can keep those, but I think the others give you a bit too much versatility.

@checkeredsoul Okay, a few things. First, this is a world with medieval level technology. Guns, cameras, and hightops wouldn't exist. Even glasses would be incredibly rare, and they wouldn't have a way to make a goggle version of them. Second, her bio doesn't give much reason why the mages would select her over everyone else in the land. Try to have her do something notable that would make her stand out in the crowd. The magic is too vague, and too diverse. What do you want her to be able to do with fire magic or plant magic? I would have you choose one of those two, and I'm limiting the magic abilities everyone has, so maybe pick one specific magic thing you could do.

@Nagariin I don't really want the characters to be superhuman like that. I want them to be somewhat grounded in physical feats with specific skills and abilities to give them an edge.

@DocTachyon Can't wait to see it.

@The One If you had a familiar, it would be an animal that follows your commands. And I would say nothing larger than a wolf. It could do whatever that animal could do in real life.

@The One Let's say the bag would weigh 5 lbs, and you could fit 100 lbs of stuff in it. That should be plenty to work with.

@PharaohAtem That's a bit too powerful for this RP. Try to think of another idea.

@BangoSkank Sounds good. We could use some more non-combatants.

@PharaohAtem As Rune_Alchemist said, we've already got a blacksmith character. However, I also think that summoning things all willy-nilly is too powerful for this RP.

@The One You've got a LOT of magic going on there. I'm going to say no to summoning useful stuff. It defeats the purpose of exploration and survival. I'd say pick either healing, pocket dimension, or a summoned familiar. I wouldn't recommend healing because it would be severely limited and I was already talking with someone else with that ability. If you want a pocket dimension, I'm following DnD rules: limited total volume. If you want to summon a familiar, pick one animal, and we'll discuss the mechanics. The limit on skills is what a person of your character's status could realistically get good at given their age. The limit on magic is pretty much one little thing to help you out a bit. The limit on items is what your character could realistically carry. You're pretty tiny, so it won't be a lot.

@DragonKingUk Go for it. I'm still accepting characters.

@Rune_Alchemist You're good to go.
@The One I'd be okay with a lalafel or neko, but I think a hybrid between the two is a bit much. Right now, it'll be a one character limit, since a lot of people have expressed interest. For magic, take a look at the abilities that I've approved, and keep it at that tier of power. There's way too many conceivable abilities out there for me to list everything that is and isn't allowed. If you have a specific ability in mind, let me know.
@ThriceDefied Looks good. Approved.

@Nagariin I think super-speed and strength is a bit much. The power level of the characters and of the stuff you'll be encountering won't be that high, and you'd pretty much be able to just dodge everything, and hit anything before it can react. It forces me to give everything super-speed to challenge you. And super strength on top of that makes it very overpowered for this RP. Take a look at the level of magic powers in the approved characters to get a better grasp of where you should be.

@LunarValkyria Approved.

@Regitnui Also approved.

@Rune_Alchemist The character looks good, but it looks like she has a LOT of stuff with her. The swords alone would be at least 50 lbs, and that's if they're short swords. And I have no idea how much a portable forge would weigh. I just don't see somebody being able to carry all this stuff with them. Keep in mind, if the party goes anywhere, she's gotta carry all this stuff herself. I would say keep the forge and the tools to work it, but do away with the tarp and the extra swords. She could have one for herself, but she'll have to make extras.

I'll have a character of my own up once I see what you guys come up with. I'll try to round out the party.
@Silverlight138 I mean your post ends with the declaration of an action, and the next person's post begins with the results of the action. In my experience with combat RP, I've found it is quite possible to generate multiple paragraphs for a single post during fast-paced action sequences following this rule. A typical combat post has three components: reaction, action, and anticipation. This won't be quite so combat-intensive, so you probably won't need the anticipation phase. However, you will still be describing your reaction to any previous actions taken against you, and you action against somebody else. You could also describe your emotional state at the time. Are you scared? Pissed off? etc. A couple of sentences for each of those, maybe a line of dialogue, and you're sure to have a paragraph.
