Name: Valdis Freyr/Adann Stal
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 32
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 179lbs
Class: Temple Guard/Jedi Sentinel
Position: Pilot/Infiltrator/"Errand boy"
Primary Strengths: Blade and Blaster combat/Lightsaber Lance combat
Appearance: Valdis has preferred to keep a helmet or mask on ever since becoming a temple guard for the order and is rarely seen without one. When he is, however, one could see his dark-brown hair, kept short to fit under a helmet, his green eyes fairly clear complexion and very lightly tanned skin.
Weapons: Valdis carries a Vibrosword that he wields in conjunction with a custom blaster pistol when he is not using his Yellow-bladed Lightsaber pike. Additionally his ship holds a small arsenal that he could choose from depending on his mission. He also kept the saber of his fallen friend but it is meant more as a memento than a weapon.
Skills/Abilities: Valdis primary focus is saber and melee combat, though he has acquires some skill with blasters. He excels against other melee fighters or saber-wielding opponents and relies on force powers or personal shields if available to counter blaster fire. His force powers are focused on enhancement or barriers rather than offensive capability as well as being able to resist the influence of other force users. His few offensive abilities are Force suppression and the devastating Force Breach technique.
Background: Valdis was born during a complicated series of events that led to the death of his parents and the ship they were on crashing on a planet that held a Mandalorian settlement. Fortunately for him the clan that found him in the wreckage took him in and raised him as their own, though his adopted father held on to a datapad containing information from his birth. Valdis, known to his clan as Adann, set out on his own sometime before his clan was called to serve Mandalore, becoming mercenary and using the repaired remains of his parent's vessel.
At one point he was hired by a rather practical Jedi, Valdis still isn't sure if it was coincidence or not really, who over the course of their time together revealed his force sensitivity to him and convinced him to come to the Jedi temple for training. He had trouble with his lessons, being older than normal for an apprentice didn't help, but between what progress he did make and his martial prowess he was selected as a candidate to become a Temple Guard. As one he was expected to deal with internal threats as much as external, and as such some of his study shifted accordingly.
His decision to join Revan's crusaders came not from his own desire to fight the Mandalorians but from the very same Jedi that brought him to the order, whom he'd come to consider his only friend within the order. He'd followed the knight to war, but after Revan's demise and the collapse of the Republic army he saw her fall. He took on his Mandalorian Identity to survive. He posed as one of the attackers during the siege on the temple where he discovered the plans to create the enclaves and even took steps to ensure the information stayed out of Mandalorian hands. He waited just over a year before seeking them out, searching for one headed by a master whose name he recognized from Revan's forces: Luthor Antilles
