Yon was actually really surprised by whatever Helena had just brought into the world, she had never seen anything like that before.
"Whoa, its like a rock? A crystal? Its so pretty, I love how it sparkles." she reached up and picked a flower, keeping it in her hand. "Its also wet? Hmmm, wait." as Yon typically does, she placed it into her mouth and chewed. "It tastes like water, wow, this ice thing is really mysterious."
Mela puffed her cheek, yeah, she was born and raised in a small orchard, and Parr wasn't exactly wrong, but she was a pretty smart apple and she knew the issue with talking dogs wasn't just her being born on a little rural bit of the federation.
"Hey, its not like I have never been to a big city... but uh, let's just move on from this, the federation is big and what is common in an island may not be as common in another one. I am sorry for showing so much surprise at your species, it wasn't proper behaviour."
The apple girl stretched and it was then she realized something. "Ah right, so, Sarah does transformation, I do apples, what is your type of magic, Parr?"
"Don't bite your tail?" Yon stared at it for a long time, before sighing. "Sure sure, I will try my best! And yeah, I think I will try to go inside, but its just fun climbing the stained glass windows."
She looked up to see Daria arriving and going up to her tree, she then focused back on Helena. "Oh, I do animation magic!" she couldn't quite animate the tree, so she animated its branches, only one, making Daria shake as it unnaturally moved to grab Helena up by wrapping around her, also placing her in the tree.
"And what do you do, Helena? Same to you, Daria." with ease, Yon jumped into the the tree aswell.
Mela was sitting in the drawer, one of the rare bits of furniture the room had, and she was too impressed to see a talking dog. She went back on the floor, as she wasn't really an apple at the moment. "Hmm, you think communal showers are good? I can see your point about making people acquainted and equal, but I doubt this school had such noble goals in mind. Plus so many naked humans... such as I, I am a human, yes." she gulped, why was she trying to hide her nature from the dog? She didn't really think it through.
"Oh, I am Mela I am from Ostfeld in the federation. I guess." she rubbed behind her head sighing. "The apple smell is because I specialize in apple magic, which is mostly a variety of magic types but apple themed. Apple grenades, healing apples, you know the style. And I think we both have seen canines before, just never talking ones, unlike cats most dogs I met didn't talk."
“Right.” Bet Eil nodded. “It's with the admissions officer, hopefully you have met him before.” the slime said, some people did fake their documents so she couldn’t be too sure but she assumed she would know where that was. Once she went to the place, she would find the room empty but the documents in place, hopefully the man was just catching a break. Still, she would have what she needed to meet the Headmistress. After taking a quick snapshot of each of the application forms, she made her way to the Headmistress’s office.
Even if she hadn’t really seen the worst of Fae Creek yet, it was noticeable this part of the academy was better kept than anything else in the school, she could even see her own reflection in the marble floor and the walls were all decorated with paintings. Soon, she would face the large wooden door with a metal frame. Without even the slightest hint of trepidation, she rang the ornate doorbell.
“Come in~” a surprisingly young voice said from within the room, snapping her finger which caused the door to be unlocked. Within would be Messalina Dumont, Headmistress of Fae Creek Academy. She smirked seeing the girl who was at the door.
“Hey there, Boss Lady!” Kate said with her most friendly smile. “Councilor Betty was feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the antics going on at the welcome party, so she asked me to bring these application forms up to you.”
Casually walking over to the desk, she placed the applications folder atop it.
“Miss…” the Headmistress spied the files she had on her table, “Kate Carson, nice to see you, I have been thinking about your report. Very interesting information.”
“I’ll bet it was,” Kate said with a chuckle. “And on that topic, I just wanted to personally assure you that I’ve got no intentions of causing you any trouble whatsoever. In fact, I’d like for my time here to be beneficial to both of us.”
With that the headmistress tilted her head ever so slightly, raising one eyebrow and smiling. “Ah. I see. Beneficial to us both, hmm?” her left eye closed in a wink. “How so? I am somewhat curious. And please don’t tell me things like ‘I won’t rat you out if I find something suspicious’ because the reward for that is not becoming an actual rat.”
She had to say, she liked the courage of the girl, to go straight to her and demand an audience like this while saying she could benefit her. It showed a sense of cleverness she respected, if only because it reminded her of herself. A smile slowly formed as she waited for the girl to make her case.
Sliding herself into a chair, Kate leaned back and placed her clasped hands on her stomach.
“Ma’am I won’t even be looking for anything suspicious. I’ve heard the rumors about this place’s old photography club, so I can totally understand if you were a bit… displeased to see my name on an application form. That said, I’d have to be an idiot if I thought getting on your bad side was a good idea. Like I put down on the form, I’m just here for a little vacation. But there’s nothing to say that a vacation can’t be productive…”
Her mouth formed a sly smile.
“So, here’s what I had in mind: we restart the photography club, the journalism club, the whole frickin’ school paper, but this time, we’ll make it work for you. The only publicity you’ll get will be good publicity. We’ll tell the narrative you want people to hear. Heck, give it a few months, and we’ll change everyone’s opinion of this place for the better. And I don’t think I need to tell you who’s gonna get the credit for that.”
“Just find me one or two incredibly gullible, and/or easily malleable idiots to write the prose pieces, and we’ll be all set.”
The headmistress chuckled. “Not that I am one to deny the wonders of propaganda, but…” she stopped herself, it was amusing, was she trying to get her to bless the journalism club just so she could run coded messages of rebellion? Was she really going to try to write that Fae Creek is great and make the paper a total joke? She couldn’t tell, and that was exciting.
“Katey, that is… interesting. I will actually give you that chance, just don’t overdo it darling, I am not a fool.” she picked up a box from under her desk and opened it up, looking over what seemed to be the belongings of a group of people: bags, clothing, shoes. “Ah, here it is.” she grabbed a key.
“The key to the photography club, I was going to have the place cleaned up, but if you will make use of it.” she got up and delivered it to her hand before patting her shoulder a bit. “Now, on the topic of fools, I may have one to spare, but you will find plenty of those among your colleagues.”
“Somehow, that doesn’t surprise me,” Kate chuckled. “Also, there’s another, slightly more confidential, service I can provide. From what I’ve seen of your staff so far, they’re either too apathetic to do anything, or too incompetent to succeed at anything they try to do. You need someone who can look out for your interests, covertly keep tabs on the other students, that sorta thing. I’m sure you read all about what my camera can do, so you’ll believe me when I say that I can tell you everything you’d ever want to know about anyone with just a single click. And no one would ever suspect a thing.”
“All I’d like in return is…” she began counting on her fingers. “Free food, free lodging, free medical care, free tuition… Free everything, basically. Oh, and speaking of lodging, I hear you’ve actually got a few nice rooms in this place. I’d like to stay in one of those, if it’s not too much trouble. I don’t really need all that much space, so if you want, you could even let someone else share it with me. I don’t mind having a roommate, as long as my sleeping quarters are private, and depending who they are, a roommate could be very beneficial for the both of us.”
“So, whadaya say, Boss Lady? Do we have a deal?”
The headmistress laughed and then sat down. “Hmm, I guess you are lucky. Lucky that you aren’t making a deal with a genie.” she focused on the chair, making it move on its own, turning Kate towards her as she walked. “The food, lodgings and healthcare in this facility are already free, but I guess the saving grace of your wishes are that you asked for a nice room, and that isn’t quite included in the basics. There is this girl in your class, what's her name, Alura! Yeah, she is in a nice room with no roomie, you may join her. ”
Should she mention the eldritch nature of such a girl which is why she went straight to an area that is somewhat meant for containment? Nah...
The headmistress moved all the way to the shelf and picked up an alarm clock with some sort of crystal core inside. “And here is a little gift, it should keep your ears safe. Consider it my best wishes to the new journalism club.”
”Thanks!” Kate said as she placed the clock into one of her jacket pockets. “Y’know, I’m really glad we were able to sort all this out.”
Rising from her chair, she held her hand out to the Headmistress. “To the start of a profitable partnership,” she announced with a grin.
The headmistress ignored her hand and gave the student a head pat. “I sure hope so.”
A few hours later, the Headmistress found herself in the mood to continue checking on the students and to finish this batch of reports already. She’d have to create a report too. Being a headmistress was fun but she really did not like the whole administrative aspect of it, why couldn’t she just make the money and order people around?
She needed someone to talk with but Bet Eil was nowhere near her, in her frustration, she scanned the corridors with her mind, finding the nearest student, before sending out an enchanted hope to capture her and bring her to her office. The girl in particular was terrified.
“W-why? Headmistress!? What did I do? P-please don’t…”
“Calm down, I only need you to give commentary on whatever I say.”
“Huh…?” The girl was still terrified but now she was also confused, the rope letting her go so she could stand up. “Huh!?”
Messalina smiled gently, ignoring any need for further explanation and picked up the first document. “Sarah Malone, entered the room as a hippo, seems to turn into animals at random. Oh this is pretty interesting, I do like the sorts with wild, untame magic, especially if they don’t cost me anything.” She smiled and waited for the student to give her reply.
The girl slowly noticed the headmistress expected something of her, she gulped, getting up, seeing that annoyance build up in Messalina’s expression as she didn’t reply. “Y-yeah, she just uh, must be careful, as a tiny animal? Like… if she turns into a pig, I guess that could end poorly.”
“Eh… Pigs aren’t small. My worry would be if she can turn into the flu or something.” The headmistress shrugged. “Next we have Alura, now she is an interesting case, I knew she would come earlier so I had to prepare a bit. Seems to be a major hazard, using eldritch forces which causes the world around her to be corrupted and wither.”
“Why would you accept someone like this into a school of magic? She could send hundreds to the infirmary.” the girl stood up and stomped a bit, just then realized she had an outburst, thankfully Messalina just smiled.
“Don’t be so judgemental, plus, everyone can handle a bit of corruption. I heard eating pears is good to keep the eldritch away. Plus I have put some instant extermination devices near her if we ever need it” she made a note to gauge the prices of pears and similar fruits. “Leonhard Cantor is our next new student.”
“Oh, from THE Cantor family?” she gasped, covering her mouth with her hand. “What is someone as high as that doing HERE of all places?”
“Hmm, well you see… It seems he was born without magic. Actually. Maybe his siblings seeped all the magical potential of the family.” she chuckled. “So he can only prepare spells and tech but never use it without some external source of mana.”
“Ah yeah, that explains it I think.” she felt like she was getting the hang of it.
“Next one is a, uh, a dog. A time traveling dog named Parr. He says his father will enroll in the future… Could you read this please to make sure I am not hallucinating?” the headmistress rubbed her eyes.
“Let me see… hmm… yep…” she nodded. “Isn’t this dangerous, what if there is a time loop!? Plus, what if he is his own father…”
“Well, it depends on what type of timeloop we are dealing with, I guess its wait and see, I would make notes on him to make sure there is no issue, but if there ever was he would end up erased from reality to such an extent my notes on him would vanish to, so eh, I guess its wait and see.”
The headmistress picked up the next paper after that. “Next, Mela Seb-Apfel…”
“That is a lot of ways of saying apple… MPHF?” the girl suddenly felt she could not open her lips.
“Don’t interrupt me ever again, okay?” the headmistress sighed and returned to reading the paperwork. “The officer had to squeeze information out of this one, she pretended to be a girl transformed into an apple, but he suspects she is an actual apple, somehow blessed with the ability to talk and cast magic. What a curious case.” she raised her hand, letting the girl talk again.
“Kyah… oh I can open my mouth, uhm, yeah… for her sake I hope she can reform from just her core.” she took a deep breath, close call! She grew too bold, she had to remember she was dragged here.
Reading about the next student made the headmistress pick up her world map, looking all over it for a tiny island. “Hey, whatever your name is, ever heard of Candela?”
“Can what?” she tilted her head slightly. “I don’t think I have.”
“Well, this girl is from there, not a federation place either, seems to be an island of candle people with fire powers, how curious! I need to meet this girl later and get to know all about her, test a few things out too~ Jackie O' Lanamere”
“Who is next on the list?”
“It’s Baron Maximillian Nidavel”
“Sounds rich.”
“Oh he is~ I am so happy with this second batch of students, sure, there are a few bad apples and a literal apple, but so many rich kids who sound so exploitable. This one causes explosions if he uses magi-tech, Potira is gonna enjoy him, just hope she doesn’t get flirty…”
The kidnapped girl took a deep breath to point out how the headmistress often got flirty with students but she shut herself up before she ended up getting herself killed or worse.
“But yes, I need to find ways to milk his money, hopefully he ends in a bad dorm so he has to buy lots of our services to get what he feels he deserves.” she looked over the next one. “Aelich…”
“A lich!?” the student rose up in surprise.
“Nope, just a girl who claims to be from beyond the horizons of known history...I wonder if she thinks she is that mage, actually… What if she is that mage?”
“The first lich? Aelich herself? No way… I would rather believe in moon people appearing than in a mage this old ending up here.”
The headmistress smiled. “Oh, good point, I will put her in my ‘either delusional or very neat’ watchlist along with that girl who said she is from the moon. Let’s see where that goes.”
“That girl who what?”
“Anyway, after that, we have our last one! Another undead, lots of these this year, a Dullahan. Katalynn. Anti-Magic is interesting for a field, we don’t have many students who are like that, or any Dullahan, for that matter. Seems a bit paradoxical in personality, brash but easy to become shy, and that is not even counting for the fact it seems her body seems to have a personality of its own.”
“Guess you could say she is a real head case, huh?” the student winked.
The headmistress was unimpressed by the joke. “Ah, your hair is so beautiful, fluffy and pink, reminds me of cotton candy, I guess you as a whole remind me of that~”
Knowing what the headmistress meant, the student eeped, running for the door at speeds she didn’t know were possible.
Most students had taken the halls and staircases like normal people, but Yon simply thought it would be prettier if she tried to enter the room through the outside. Climbing the window frames of the tower and using her uncanny lightweight, she was soon able to reach one of the broken windows. Helena would just, out of nowhere, hear birds flying and that weird long-eared girl landing.
Scanning the room, the Lunarian was quick to notice her roomie sitting nearby. She was excited to keep meeting new people on this land, as even back in her home she didn't have many friends.
"Oh hello! I saw you at the party early today." she ran to the cat and quickly sat by her side. "I remember your tail actually, it looked so pretty I wanted to bite it. Anyway! Are you Helena or Daria? I am Yon."
Mela was carried on Sarah's hand across the school, at first, it was pretty pleasant, she liked being held by people. However, she soon was reminded of the harshness of the world as they entered a tunnel. Was this her dorm? It looked terrible! The dark, half-lit corridor was full of shacks were black market services and products were provided, it had a bad smell and many of the students had no qualms about licking her lips and eyeing her little red pome form with hunger as they moved by.
"I don't like this place, why did I have to end in such a shady room! The ones they showcase on the pamphlets are all the pretty new ones, they never mention this weird shanty town of a dorm!" they didn't even have ANY furniture outside of the two beds and the table, what was this?
She sighed, being placed on the table still in apple form, she would become a human again, standing up to properly greet her roomie.
"Well, you are Sarah right? I am Mela. And yes, I do struggle in staying a human, I need to burn a lot of my mana to stay like this and any emotional moment is enough to break it. I hope you don't mind if I am an apple most of the time, I need to save my energies for the classes and, ugh, going to the communal showers here."
"Cool! I hope you like it. These are one of the last I have on me that came from the moon, I think it tastes better! The texture is that soft almost gooey point earth dwellers just can't hit."
Her eyes shone as she was offered a good luck charm, she took it with joy and placed it in her pocked. "I have been needing some good luck, thanks!" she then moved on, continuing to leave, just in time to heart Droxl calling out the names.
She had no idea who the other two were, but if she had good luck they had to be fun people, right? She moved towards the map and looked up, able to see the tower from where they were, it looked cool! Also lots of birds in case she got hungry.
~Mela~
Mela was already eeping and shaking as soon as the leopard had grabbed her (though her hands are so soft, she thought) and the threats didn't make her any more relaxed, the red apple gained a hint of blue over its face.
"N-no! Please don't eat the apple! I uh, am not even tasty really! Plus I bet I can cause heartburn and all other sorts of trouble!"
She smiled once the snake explained snakes didn't eat apple, was she saved? Would she see another day? Her face returned to terror once the snake said she was actually a human.
Thankfully, not one interested in eating her. But still, she seemed to know a lot about transformation, how hard would it be for her to connected the dots? Especially since, if she heard it right, the two of them would share a room together. She would see through her.
"I actually had to study to learn how to transform but... well, I guess I can share this with you, but only you, okay? I am not exactly a human who becomes an apple, but an apple who becomes a human, its why my transformation is so unstable."
She could try to lie and say she was cursed, but that didn't feel like the right step to start a new relationship. She hoped in the depths of her core that this wouldn't make Sarah start treating her like a lesser being.
I think I am done image hunting for the dorms, I really regret I can't draw even 2d floor-plans but I hope I managed to give a clear idea of each and everyone's little corner of hell the world.
Anyone who has images that they think fit the theme (art noveau, steampunk, gardens, along with particulars to the rooms like subterranean themes, basements, attics...) or just cool images in general please do share here or in the discord.
With this, the welcome party is ending, players are free to go explore their dorms and face the harshness of the world (or fluffiness, for our local saint and demon)
The first class will soon (in a few days) be held by Professor Admas Alemu, on the topic of the basics of spell-casting and "When to create and when to manipulate: the basics of elemental efficiency"
An additional class held by Professor Celia Reed on the topic of transmutation and transformation, "Differentiating the formula of Bread to Mold from Lead to Gold and other basics." will also happen to those not interested in the first class.
Characters can also just not go to any class once they start.
Droxl picked up a small glass cup with his claws and gently tapped on it with a spoon to bring the attention of the group before starting to speak in his booming shrinking tone "WELCOME STUDENTS I HOPE YOU HAVE HAD THE TIME TO SOCIALIZE AND MAKE FRIENDS. I AM DIRECTOR DROXL AND I WILL NOW NEED YOUR ATTENTION. I BE ASSIGNING YOU TO YOUR DORMS. I MUST SAY THIS IS COMPLETELY RANDOM EXCEPT WHEN THE HEADMISTRESS SAYS IT ISN'T."
He picked up a scroll of paper, squinting his eyes. "DORM GERANIUM ROOM G - B3. MISS FEIER, MISTER REAGAN AND MISTER AUGUST. DORM GERANIUM ROOM G - T1. MISS YON. MISS HELENA. MISS DARIA. DORM CHERRY BLOSSOM ROOM CB6. MISS ALURA. DORM ROSE. ROOM R17. HIS DARK LORDSHIP AJ. HER HOLINESS GERTRUDE."
He took a deep breath. "THESE WERE THOSE WHO HAD THEIR RANDOM ROOMS PERSONALLY PICKED BY THE HEAD OF STAFF. FOR THE OTHERS I WILL NEED TO PICK ON THE SPOT."
Rubbing the underside of his jaw, he started to ponder about how he would do it and how he would separate the students.
"YOU TWO" he pointed at Adara and Leonhard. "YOU TWO ARE FRIENDS. I SAW INTENSE FRIENDLY CONVERSATION. FAMILIARITY ENHANCES THE COMFORT. DORM ROSE. ROOM R2B."
Moving to the side, he looked at the snake and the apple. He nodded in a approval. "I SEE BOTH OF YOU DEAL WITH TRANSFORMATION ISSUES. GOOD FOR BONDING. DORM AZALEA. ROOM A4."
Finally, he noticed the dog. "GOOD BOY. AZALEA ROOM A4 TOO"
He nodded, satisfied with what he had done. "NOW I AND COUNCILOR BET IEL MUST ATTEND TO SOME BUSINESS. THE FESTIVITIES WILL CONTINUE TO THOSE WHO WANT TO STAY. BUT ONCE YOU ARE READY TO MOVE TO THE DORMS PLEASE LOOK AT THE MAP OVER THERE AND GO TO THE ASSIGNED ROOMS."
Pictures for some of them coming later today. Not final, may change.
Dorm Geranium The fun fact about this dorm is that it is not actually a dorm per see, but a series of rooms around one of the central areas of the academy. This means no neighbors most of the time, which in Fae Creek is good, but also means smaller rooms with improper structure.
Room G - B3 Inhabitants: August Reagan Feier
Something of this vibe:
A basement under the pool area, while many rooms in the area are adapted machine rooms, B3 is not that, it is an actual, still active, machine room. The room is large, the staircases descend at its center creating something close to a wall separating it between a left side and a right side. It has small windows on the right side, with an underwater view of the fish tank and lotus garden. The room has plenty of chairs, tables and storage options, but its mostly abandoned furniture left there. For beds: three mattresses over metal frames, giving a real prison-like feeling. Feier's bed is suspiciously near the boiler. The bathroom is as bad as one expects, the original room was destroyed when expanding the gardens and never replaced, thankfully the nearest toilette is just up the staircase but for a shower there is only an old tub surrounded by a curtain connect to the left sides boiler, not even a room of its own, one might consider using the pool and gym's shower room instead.
Room G - T1 Inhabitants: Daria, Helena, Yon
A decrepit tower that was once a garden, connected to the facility. Glass wall and glass roof, its kept shaded by the plants that grow on it. The staircase is broken making access hard for anyone who isn't light or can make their own path. There are no divisions between each of the three beds outside of the planters. Thanks to the broken glass panes, the room can get awfully windy at times, especially when it rains. Birds also often try to make their nests there. The room lacks a bit when it comes to furniture, but its quality isn't too bad, the beds are nice. It has a service toilette room but no shower, for baths the inhabitants must either make do with the tower's water pool/tank or use the showers of the gym or a nearby dorm.
Dorm Cherry Blossom One of the newer dorms of the facility, meaning proper planning and no glaring issues, it even has an elevator to access the upper room and all rooms have private bathrooms and kitchens. Of course, it is only accessible to those who pay more than others, though some say it is a special containment facility.
Room CB - 6 Inhabitants: Kate, Alura, Jackie
A very nice and comfortable room in the upper floors of the building, with a nice view to the rest of the school through its large clear glass windows. It is composed of the main room along with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It's one of what the students call "nice rooms", proper privacy, good quality of furniture, no need to worry about theft or kidnapping. There is very little to talk about. Except maybe that the glass is reinforced, all the sinks and drains come with grinders, the sprinklers have an 'exterminate' option and the door's lock feels like it is keeping others out as much as it is keeping them in, but it's not a basement or a barn.
Dorm Rose One of the more crowded dorms, with many students living in it, but thanks to the action of "hall monitors" it is not as bad as the typical high capacity dorm. Located in the middle of an area of gardens, it is a pleasant location, their communal kitchen houses a pretty good irregular restaurant and tavern.
Room R - 17 Inhabitants: AJ, Saint Gertrude
Just a very luxurious art noveau penthouse
At the very top of the dorm building, the penthouse is unlike anything in the rooms below, with a bathroom and a kitchen of its own and an outdoor area decorated with roses. The whole place is well kept and decorated, perhaps overly decorated, the room is garish in its excesses, from the frilly and overly decorated couches, pillows and beds to the aromatized magical candles and hot-tub like bathtub. Definitely not the room for any sort of person who values modesty or who wants to look though.
Room R - 2B Inhabitants: Adara, Leonhard
Like the right corner of this, but mirrored (so two rooms, no kitchen/bathroom)
An attic over the kitchen which is surprisingly pleasant, despite the noise and the fact to get in you have to almost crawl.
Made of a single room, the bedrooms are on the opposing sides of the building with nice soft beds, a bookshelf and wardrobe for storage and curtains for privacy when it is needed. There is a living area in the middle but it is really only meant for sleeping and resting, all else is in the communal areas.
It has access to the machines and pipes used in the kitchen and shower rooms, which would make it easy to mess with those, but who would do that?
Dorm Azalea Another crowded dorm and not a nice one. Not an actual autonomous anarchic location like Dorm Magnolia but up there. Built from an underground tunnel going under one of the large teaching areas, the rooms are spread out in a long and wide hallway, all sorts of irregular buildings such as shacks or black market stalls have been built by the students over the open space. Doors don't come with locks but it is wise to lock them nevertheless. The communal kitchen and bathrooms are as messy as one would expect.
Wide, underground tunnel. Fancy but decrepit.
Shacks spread out like
Room A4 Inhabitants: Sarah, Mela, Parr
The original stone wall facing the hallway collapsed and was replaced by a wooden wall. The room features two bunk beds, a table and a crate with a lamp on it. It also has a window leading to just above a canal which could come handy should they need to escape.
Room A0 Inhabitants: Aelich, Baron
but for two people.
Once the service room of the tunnel, this room is large and empty with more machines than furniture. Until recently it housed a lot of irregular shacks but was cleaned out, the students kicked out will most likely try to return once the dust settles.
The bedroom area was built with wooden planks in the steel walkways above the open area and is really just two open spaces with a bed and wardrobe.
@Ypnosi Does soul control work on the living? Mind control needs player consent if it comes into play, okay? Anyway, the regeneration ability is interesting, will come handy I bet :P
