Violet was relieved when Bren stepped into help her. He really was being nice. He was trying to scare them off with his giant cute shadow puppy. Now, though, she just hoped he or anyone else didn't get hurt. It looked like a confrontation was brewing and it made Sky nervous.

"W-we're on t-the s-same, t-team..." She managed to say, so quietly it was hard to hear. Stupid. Stupid! This was so stupid! Sky couldn't help but feel like this was all her fault. This wouldn't have happened if she had just...well, she wasn't sure what Briar wanted her to do. She was still confused as to why he decided to have one of his friends take her arm. This whole thing just made her feel terrible.

"Aah!" Sky cried out in surprise as a tall muscle man came screaming into her view. It was a ferocious drop kick! Briar was sent flying. "Oh no, oh no!" She continued to cry, antsily bouncing on her feet.

A girl came up from behind and literally stabbed one of them in the back, causing Sky to gasp. "Please don't kill each other! Oh, no!" She guessed the woman's name was Mei, considering that's what she just called herself? It was hard to tell. Either way, her arm came rolling on the ground towards her and Sky scooped it up. Eagerly she attached it back onto herself, and she felt whole again. She clenched and unclenched her metal fist, and was grateful.

"Thank you! B-but-..." She looked up at Mei, wiping the tears from her eyes. "I, I don't have a lot of money. Not in my p-pajamas. But I'll, I'll pay you back." She hid her eyes under her cap again. Thankfully it was easier since she was shorter than everyone else.

She flinched as Mei suddenly turned her sights on Rowan. This one didn't feel like it involved her at all. Violet's eyes briefly searched the room for that poor Faunus girl those boys had been picking on earlier.

"H-hey...are you okay?" She asked, taking a few steps towards her. Sky didn't notice Drongo preparing his counter attack, either. Her thoughts were scrambled and her heart was overwhelmed. Perception wasn't her strong suit, anyway. She also looked at Briar, laying on the floor.

"Um... are you okay?" She asked. But she still kept her distance, moving towards the Faunus girl they had picked on earlier. She was mostly focused on her safety. But Briar had gotten kicked really, really hard. She glanced back over to the Faunus.

"Sorry they were being so mean to you." She said. "Sorry no one came in to help." She averted her eyes, looking embarassed. Violet had very weakly tried to interfere, but she was too scared of confrontation to be successful. Also, she was probably the least intimidating person in the room.

Sakura took a step back as Geralt gave his command.

(So I should have jumped down earlier!? Ugh! I'm the worst! I wish someone would just tell me what to do! Well, I guess someone just did.)

She looked a little concerned at Geralt's order. But the choice was made for her nonetheless. The bird flew away! With Geralt on it! "Uh oh!" She looked at Bowser, Kamek, and Bella. Bowser was back down to normal size, and Kamek was already preparing to cast some cool spells. Bowser's eye was almost pecked out, too, but he seemed more angry than he did hurt.

It looked like Kamek was about to be thrown. Sakura was probably a little heavier than Kamek, and moreover, she couldn't fly. She kind of wanted to try it out, though. Maybe later. For now she would do her own, controlled descent. Like last time.

"I'm gonna go help out Shippy, too! Ikuzo!" She shouted above the wind. With that, she sprinted at high speed, the wind at her back carrying her even faster.

"Yoisho!" She took a running leap, propelling herself two stories in the air. Now she saw that Shippy was beginning to look different. And also, how bad of a shape Shippy was in. She was hurt- bad. Abyssals were crawling all over the place and turning to dust, but they just kept coming. Sakura cut quite the dramatic figure, soaring through the air. A lot of her loose fitting clothing shot upward, revealing the not exactly elegant gym wear underneath. Her bandana traced an arc behind her head, and her arms and legs wheeled as she soared downwards.

Another thing Sakura realised was how bad of an idea it was to leap off the top of the Atomos when it was this high. And also from the top, with the wind at her back, as opposed to last time where she left through the back door.

"Uh oh!" She tried to course correct, laying flat to slow down. The ocean surface was approaching fast. A second before impact Sakura brought her legs underneath her again, angled her toes downward and brought her arms in an X across her chest. She squeezed her eyes shut and held her breath and torpedoed down into the water in a small splash that reflected the profeciency in which she entered the water.

Her eyes opened, and beneath her was the abyss of the ocean. She could have sworn she saw dark shapes move within, shadows among shadows. All of it was blurry, the sound of water and muffled warfare in her ears. Down there, there was only unknown evil she could not hope to face.

(Nope nope nope) Sakura pushed herself back to the surface, easily overcoming the weight of her wet clothing and metallic rigging. Once she emerged, she inhaled briefly to get her lungs back to full capacity. The rigging came to life and she was water walking once again.

Shippy was looking a lot healthier! Someone must have Friend Hearted her! "Un! Yeah!" She shouted happily. Sakura also took part in the annihilation of the oncoming bombers, happily firing her cannons into the swarm, since there was no chance of friendly fire.

Sakura zoomed closer, looking to take part in the protection of Shippy. She was unhurt for now, and Sakura was going to help keep her that way.

A madwoman was laughing maniacally while blasting Abyssals to dust. Sakura grimaced and waved her arms frantically, hoping to spare herself of the same fate. "Hey! It's me, Sakura! I'm finally here! Sorry for the delay!" Ace, Blazermate, Link, and Frog were all in the water. They could use her help! Link looked quite different, but she still recognized him. Fusions had a very distinct look about them, in her opinion. He looked strong enough (and had big enough hands!) to help the others overboard. Shippy also looked...a little creepier. But that was okay- Sakura'd get used to it.

Meanwhile, the coolest looking Shipgirl in the world, riding a gigantic metal shark, was tearing through the Abyssals harassing Link and Cadet. It was a gruesome sight, but it was still a victory for the good guys. It also meant her friends would be okay. Kamek's clones and spells were going off, and she felt safer already. She was friends with a freaking wizard!

Not all of Shippy was safe, however. A lot of the action was focused to one side. The port side of the ship (Naval knowledge! Thanks, Araisho.) was mostly unguarded. Abysalls were there clawing into poor Shippy's flank like animals. A weird looking shadow clone of Junior showed up a little bit before her, to help. Cool!

She front flipped and brought her leg down hard, transitioning into an elbow across the ribs. She brought both fists together and hammered the Abyssal upward in an uppercut, and finished off the combo with a sweeping uppercut, her stance going wide as she leaned her whole body into it. "Shouoken! Tshah!" She and the Abyssal both went airborne from the punch. Though it was only a single punch, the impact felt like eight strikes in one as the fist pushed forward. Sakura wasn't fighting to kill, but her hits would hurt. Being defeated by Sakura in this fight didn't mean death, only getting knocked unconscious. As she floated back down, she caught sight of Briney Beard. He was hurt, bad!

"Hey, Briney Beard!" She called out, briefly taking her attention off the Abyssals around here. She doubled tapped her chest and produced a Friend Heart. "Push this into your heart! It'll fix you up!" Keeping pace with Shippy, she threw it with precision to the brave pirate captain.

Sakura was still under the impression that one needed to do the symbolic gesture to be un-Galeemified. It didn't really make too much of a difference, though.

Sakura turned her attention back to the fight, realising she had been distracted. One of them, a hideous monster of teeth and mouths with no beautiful woman attached, lashed out at her. "Ah hah!" Sakura yelped in pain and then gasped, a feminine squeak that sounded like the Abysall had just squeezed a dog toy. Not exactly a heroic expression of pain. She'd tried several times to make herself go Argh or something, but it never worked. She always forgot. Probably because she was getting punched in the ribs.

As it raised it's fist to bring down another bite-punch, Sakura braced herself. The swing was pretty slow and cumbersome compared to someone like Karin. She hadn't really gotten a chance to use this technique, and she'd forgotten about it completely in her fight with Karin.

Pitch black energy swirled around Sakura's silhouette as the swing came in. She took a stance, getting low into a defensive crouch, like she was at the starting block of a track and field race. Timing it just right, the swing came in. Instead of hitting her, it merely grazed off, the swirling energy dissipating the swing completely. At that moment, Sakura shot upward. "Daagh!"

Her knee slammed into the face of the Abyssal with tremendous impact, breaking several teeth and sending it stumbling backwards, crumpling it to it's knees. She brought her elbow down onto it's head with a crash, yellow energy sparking from the impact. Landing on the surface of water, she twisted her upper body, arms wide. "Shunpukyaku!" One, two! Propelling herself back into the air, she brought her spinning leg around, hitting it hard. Landing on her feet she dropped to a knee and gathered yet another Friend Heart into her hand. Time to invent a new move on the spot! That was practically her speciality!

"Yujo-Shouoken!" She shouted. She surged forward like a regular Shouoken, only instead of her powerful fist it was a clawed hand with a glowing pink Friend Heart in the palm. She hit the center of the Abyssal with the Friend Heart. Then she flattened her palm completely and instead of focusing on doing damage, pushed the Abyssal as high and as far away as possible. "Get outta here!" She commanded in an unusual combination of a taunt, a victory cry, and genuine plea.

She span in the air and landed back on the surface and zoomed forward to get back into the fray to further defend Shippy. When an Abyssal was nearly unconscious, she would Friend Heart them where she could. So far she made a friend out of Bella personally, and of Rika when Kamek followed her example. Sakura had no intention of stopping her Friend Heart technique anytime soon.

"Um. What's going on over there?" Violet turned away suddenly from Bren, having just now noticed a commotion. Some guys were holding a Faunus by the tail. Why were they doing that? Concern flashed across her features and she took a few steps forward. She gasped, startled, as they dropped her onto her face.

"H-hey," She protested quietly. But when her purple eyes locked with Briar's, she froze up. She already felt her chest tighten with anxiety as he looked upon her with disdain.

In a simple few sentences, he took her confidence and self-esteem and shattered it on the ground like a porcelain vase. "I- I'm a..." She wanted to say student. That she belonged, too. She looked down at her metal arm and metal leg. Did she, though? Sky's lower lip trembled and her eyes welled up, her face turning red.

"You-, I...I don't..." She stammered. No real words would come out. Sky was confused and hurt. But she was about to become scared when suddenly one of the boys reached out and began pulling at her arm. It hurt, her passive Semblance wanting to keep it attached to her body.

Gasping in pain, she released her Semblance and her left arm flew into the hand of the other boy. "Oh, oh no. M-my arm." Sky held her amputated elbow in shame, hot tears streaking down her face.

They were much, much bigger than her, and there was four of them. All laughing at her. Right after picking on another girl. Her arm was gone. Her arm was gone. She remembered the day she first lost it. Sky began to cry, letting a sharp burst of air from between her teeth. It looked like it was hard for her to breathe. Briar couldn't have asked for an easier target.

Sky didn't know what to do. She needed her arm back, but wasn't capable of taking it. So she just stood there, head hung low, staring at the arm she had crafted for herself. This is the worst. Sure, it wasn't the first time something like this had happened. But it was all the more humiliating now that she was 17, and still reacting the same way she did when she was a kid. She was such a crybaby. Just an invalid, weak little crybaby. Vulnerable and pitiful, not strong or brave. They were right. How could she expect to save anyone?

Humiliated, Sky brought her remaining hand up to cover her eyes. It didn't really work. It didn't take much to hurt Sky's feelings.
She just wanted to run away and hide. But she couldn't- they were literally holding a part of her body hostage. She didn't have a replacement! Sky didn't even consider the fact that they could snatch her prosthetic leg as well; She didn't have an imagination for cruelty. Such a thought wouldn't occur to her. Sky was stuck, now. It felt like she was robbed of personhood. Just a punching bag waiting to be tipped over. Even in this room full of people, she felt alone and out of place.
Clara Cabello

It was dawn. Clara was by herself. Across the street and below her was the Hardtcorp building she had been staking out. And Clara was on the roof.

"Why am I on the roof, you ask?" Clara said to nobody. "Because I was yoinkin' some girls wallet when she chased me into the site of a terrorist attack." She was crouched down on a rooftop forty feet off the ground.

"And now I can do this." Clara did a one handed hand stand. "And this." Her skin changed from it's normal hue to a dark blue color, her ponytail becoming dark black as opposed to warm brown.

"Talk about a lucky break." She went back into her normal position. "And now, I'm gonna steal the shit out of the tech in this building." She pointed to it as she returned to her normal crouched position. She wearing slightly different pair of clothes. Though it was still a black crop top, leggings, and the same pair of sneakers. Finally, over her shoulders was a color-faded black back pack.

She didn't even need a mask. She changed the different hues of her blue skin, making "shadows" where there were none. She looked like a totally different person. But just in case, she had tied a make-shift bandana around her mouth and nose. The kind cowboy bandits wore. "Sweet." She said with a grin, brushing some hair out of her eyes.

Clara had already internally mapped out the majority of the guard patrols- if you could call them that. The security guards weren't going to be a problem. The alarms were the real issue. Fortunately, she had figured that one out. Just walk in when one of the doors were open! Super risky, right? Not when you have badass spider-powers.

It was quite simple, really. First, Clara waited until no guards were looking her way. The cameras were the kind that went from side to side, too. But fortunately, they were watching the gates of the fence- and why wouldn't they be? They wouldn't account for someone that can jump fifty feet in the air.

Clara jumped down from the roof, landed in a roll on the concrete and leapt up. She soared above the fence and did a similar landing before propelling herself onto the roof of the Hardtcorp building. Whatever you're imagining in your head right now, imagine it at least two times cooler. That's how cool it was.

Now she was on the roof, and her skin and clothes blended in perfectly with the dark sky. She was as a moving shadow. She stayed low. Way low. Literally on all fours, crawling quickly like a spider. She felt like a creepy monster, and she giggled quietly. "Suck it, olympians."

She poked her head over the side and waited. "Should be...yep! There he is. It's time for the changin' of the guard." She whispered. She retreated a little bit. Just some old lookin' security guy working his way until retirement. No way could she hold down a job like this. He also just looked defeated and down trodden in general. In other words, nothing to worry about.

"He'll probably lose his job over this." She said to herself. She turned her voice into an old man voice. "Forty damn years! Didn't even give me a gold watch! Maaagh!"

He was approaching. Clara was actually above the door she knew he would enter. With the practice of a thousand days of practice he swiped open the electronic lock with his keycard and pushed his way inside. The heavy swung open and quickly closed. For a normal person? No time at all.

But Clara was there in a moment, and with one hand she kept the door just barely open. She pushed it open again and slipped with speed and effenciency. The most sound she made was the ruffling of her back pack. The door closed and she was on the ceiling- better yet- in the ceiling. It was one of those dry tiled ceilings. Clara pushed her away inside and slipped into the ceiling itself, sealing the tile behind her. The security guy didn't even notice the slight delay.

She was, of course, picked up on camera. But she was just a dark shape that attached itself to the top of the frame and vanished. She looked more like a visual glitch than she did a person. It didn't really matter. She wasn't expecting to ghost this job anyway- eventually she would build a rep. Didn't mean they could stop her. Especially because with every job, her own abilities and gadgets would just improve.

Clara crawled her way into the airducts by prying open a vent with her sticky fingers. "Tch. This isn't even fair. But you don't get anywhere playin' by the rules."

She could peek through some of the grates to get an idea of what was inside. She was looking for storage. In particular, AJ had tracked down some shipping documents. The stuff she was looking for was in crates MCA-21 and MCA-27. Just some chemical and mechanical stuff Clara didn't really want or needed to understand.

It wasn't hard. She found a large storage room, the room being about 25 feet high. This was easily the majority of the complex. There were shelves upon shelves all lined up. Some forklifts to move things around. "The goods."

Then it was just a matter of tracking the stuff down. She plucked another vent silently from it's frame and hopped down to the floor. The place was lit by lights on the ceiling, but a decent amount of lights were just gathered over the center of the warehouse. There were some shadows to work with.

There was one other guy on the other side of the warehouse, moving about. Clara wouldn't have to worry about him as long as she kept track of him. And, weirdly enough, it felt like she could. No matter where he was, Clara just kind of...knew where to avoid. It was strange. Clara had been playing around on the roof of an old warehouse when the concrete she was standing on gave way. Only she dodged it before it even began to fall. It was some kind of danger sense, or sixth sense. Whatever it was, it was very, very useful.

"Bingo." She said quietly to herself. The crates were strong enough to prevent most people from getting in, but again, they weren't designed for an intruder like herself. One who could dextrously stick herself to the side of the shelf and pop open the plastic lock with a single hang. Slinging her backpack down her shoulder, she planted herself with her feet next to the first crate. There were canisters inside. Clara grabbed three and placed them in her back pack.

The second crate was full of smaller plastic boxes full of mechanical parts. "Badass." Clara filled her backpack with the stuff. Now, what else? Technically she had everything she needed, but she wanted to explore this place a little more. Maybe she had missed something cool?

Hopping back up into the vent she had crawled out of, she shifted around in the ceiling. There were a couple of moving fans she had to avoid. But other than that, no trouble.

"Ooh." This place looked lived in. Once again she entered a room through the vent. This place was pretty damn dark. Nobody came in here. Clara dropped from the ceiling and got to snooping. This room was cut off from the rest of the warehouse. There weren't any windows peeking inside, only a door that could be locked from within. There was some old people music posters on the wall. There was also another door, slightly ajar, the lead further along the side of the warehouse. There was a sound system, a computer, and a workshop.

"Oh, shit. This is a smart person room." Clara said to herself. She went over to the computer and turned it on. It was password locked, of course, and she wasn't going to bother guessing. Apparently AJ could get some crazy hacker shit where you just turned it on and it did a zillion passwords at once. But that came later. Probably when Clara managed to get AJ a nice personal computer. Then the fun could really start. Until then she was just working off, like, memory or something. Clara didn't really have the perspective to understand just how good with machines AJ really was.

Either way, Clara wasn't using it for the nerd stuff. She was just using it for the light of the monitor to light up the room a little bit without turning on the overhead light.

This allowed her to see what looked like some kind of fashion project in progress? There was a desk with some weird looking clothes on it. But what really caught her eye was a pair of big orange goggles. That's, two pairs of goggles, not a single pair of goggles described as a pair, by the way. One of them was far larger than the other, the eyes large, round, and bulbous.

"Buggin' out." Clara walked over, snatched them up, and put 'em on. The world was a little more orange, but also, a little brighter somehow. She blinked, her irises changing color to match the bright orange. Grinning, Clara removed her bandana and shoved it into her backpack. "Forget being a cowboy bandit. I look like one of them Saturday mornin' cartoon villains."

Clara, proudest of all of this theft, went into the open door. The lights in here were motion activated, but this just allowed her to see that the door she had entered in was the only entrance. So she was safe, still. Inside, the place was just a big, empty room, with padded floors and walls.

"Uh, okay. Weird." She glanced around and shrugged. "Fun. But weird." Clara hesitated for a moment. She was on the verge of a realisation, but didn't quite have all the pieces yet. She also didn't have time to investigate more thoroughly.

"Gotta roll out." She said to herself. She backtracked out of the warehouse, hopped over the fence, and vanished over the city skyline. She came to a stop on a distant rooftop and searched through her stuff.

"Haha. Clara Cabello- one. Rich Guys- zero. Well, actually, they still have way more money than me and have screwed over way more people than me. But still. AJ's boutta get some cool toys to play with. And me, too." Clara adjusted her new goggles on her face and hopped down off the roof. Back to AJ's workshop.

Violet must have had a strange perception of what cute was, because this little shadow creature was adorable. Indeed, she three metal spheres and legs in the rough shape of a dog was cute, and don't forget the massive armored truck.

"Ooh, Ajax! That's a cool name." She said, doting over him, hands on her cheeks. "And there's two more. Wow."

Grinning that she had permission, she used her soft fleshy hand to stroke the top of the dog's head. Her hand did sink in a little bit, prompting a retraction of her hand and a giggle. "Wow! Oohh," her voice went into a kind of baby speech mode. "Who's a wittle incorporeal twoublemaker? You are!"

As Bren introduced himself, she seemed to remember he was there. "Oh, um," She backed up a step, straightening her back. She rubbed the back of her neck with her metallic hand. Clearing her throat she tried to compose herself. But it was clear she was still fawning over the adorable dog in her innermost mind. "Heh. Hi, Bren Adalwolf."

She returned the handshake with her right hand, the one that was skin. "I'm uh, Violet. Violet Skye Syrfi. You can just call me Sky, though. There's an 'e' on the end of my middle name, but not on the end of my nickname. It's- it, uh, it doesn't matter. You can spell it however you want, really." She said. She returned the handshake a little too vigorously before disengaging from it.

"So, you a, you a student? I mean, obviously, you are." She flattened out the edges of her pajama shirt. "I'm a student. I've- y'know. Wanted to be a huntress for a while. Ob-obviously." She cleared her throat.

"Well, um. Wow, sorry. Nice to meet you, too, Bren! I'm just, uh, a little nervous, I guess." She grinned sheepishly. It was like watching a fish die on the sun-warmed wooden boards of a pier.

"Are you, uh...from around here? I'm from Vale. Work at, uh, a garage kinda thing. Well, I will, I'm just apprenticing right now. Part time. Of course- my main job is gonna be, uh, Huntress. Hopefully. If I f-fail, then, I guess I'll be a mechanic full time!" Her voice got high pitched and she shrugged.

"Yeah, I'm gonna miss you guys, too!" Violet said, her feet dangling off the ground. Her voie was muffled, for her face was squished against the fabric of her fathers coat.

"I just, I just- you better promise to be careful, Sky." Indigo said, tears in his eyes, his cat ears peaked with emotion.

"I promise, I promise! I'm ready for this." Sky, or Violet, was stronger than her father due to her training. She pushed him gently off her and wiped away at her eyes. She readjusted the green cap on her head.

"I know, I know." Indigo said, taking a deep breathe. "I know! I do know."

"I know." Violet said with a smile.

"Would you guys just shut up already?" Azul said with a laugh. "You two seriously talk each other in circles." Violet smiled, turning a little red. It was true.

"Be nice, Azul." Tiffany, Violet's mother, chastised.

"Yeah, shut up, Azul." Indigo said, crossing his arms and looking cool.

"Pfft!" Violet and Azul laughed.

"Alright, alright," Azul said with faux bedrudgement. She took a few steps forward and once again gathered Violet with one arm in a sisterly hug. "I know you'll do us proud. All that trainin' couldn't have been for nothin'. If you embarrass me out there, I'll find you."

Violet giggled again. "Sure. It was all you, Azul. I definitely didn't train for years at Signal. It was you, holding two sticks, going 'just do it like this!' to an eight year old."

"Damn straight it was." Azul punched her sister on the shoulder.

Violet laughed, rubbing her shoulder. "Haha...ow. Thanks for coming all this way to see me off, Azul." Azul dismissed the gratitude with a casual wave.

There was a metallic yipping. From the front door of the nice, single-story house the mother and father of the Syfri family called home, a dog approached. It had a single glass visor for eyes and two simple spheres connected by exposed machinery for a body. As well as a very simple, also spherical head. It, jankily and slowly, pathed its way down the driveway and to Violet's ankles.

"Robo-dog! Don't tell the others, but I might miss you most of all!" Sky giggled. She scooped Robo-dog in her hands. There was a brief dim glow of blue light between her hands and her pet, and Robo-dog burst into animated life. It's barking became rapid, it kicked it's legs with excited fluidity. Sky brought Robo-dog in for a hug.

"Robo-dog sure is going to be a lot less lively without you around, Sky." Tiffany said, crossing her arms.

"Yeah, well...he'll still remember everything. So be sure to take him for walks, okay?" Sky said, scratching his metallic side. He kicked his leg excitedly. Wherever she touched him, the area glowed a dim blue shade. Especially, as she was now, when she pet him with her own prosthetic limb. With the green sleeve of her jumpsuit rolled up, the robotic arm that began at her elbow was plain to see. It was a simple design. Infact, it was so simple, it shouldn't really work at all. But where the robotic arm met her elbow, there was that same blue glow. In much the same way that Robo-dog came to life, so too did her arm. And her leg, for that matter.

"Sure," Azul said, rolling her eyes. Her own cat ears stood up on end whenever she saw that dog. She didn't know how her dad could stand that creepy little thing!

"Of course, Sky." Indigo said earnestly. "I'll walk him every day."

Sky set Robo-dog back down on the ground. He ran around her ankles excitedly, barking and saying goodbye. Then he trotted off a few steps up the driveway and sat down. A few moments later and he was back to his usualy, entirely robotic self. "Well...I guess I'll be off now. For real this time. If we say goodbye again I'll be late." Azul was to drive her to the bus stop.

"Not yet." Tiffany said, speaking up. "There's one last thing, before you go."

Violet raised her eyebrows. "What is it, Mom?"

Tiffany smirked, like Violet had just fallen into her trap. She reached into the pocket of her pants and pulled out a garage door opener. "Behold."

"B-behold?"

Tiffany pressed the button, and the wooden door of the garage opened dramatically. On the other side was a large, black and blue armored SUV. It was crammed right up against the family car.

"Right. That's Baby Blue." Sky said.

"Mhm." Tiffany nodded.

"Goldhill Industrial lets me take her home sometimes to work on in the weekends. I already said goodbye to her, Mom."

"Well," Tiffany raised a dramatic eyebrow. "You better take that goodybe back."

"Why?" Violet quirked her head to the side. Azul facepalmed.

"Because, Sky. You get to keep her."

"Huh?" Sky's purples eyes widened.

"Goldhill Industrial agreed to be your sponsor. She's officially on loan to you, as long as you are a Huntress at Beacon."

Violet's face scrunched up and turned red. Now the tears were flowing again. She brought her hands up to the level of shoulders and shook her hands back and forth at the wrist. "Ohhh what nooo no wayyy Moooomm come oooonn oohhhh nooo~" She cried. She ran up hugged her mother tightly.

"Absolutely no problem, sweetie. Your luggage is already in there."

"Thank yooouuu!" She disengaged from the hug and ran up to Baby Blue. She jumped onto the hood of the car and kissed it. "Mmmwah! Baby Blue! We're gonna be Huntresses!"

Despite being turned off, Baby Blue rumbled to life, moving her hood up to nuzzle her driver in return.

"I know she was joking about the dog earlier," Indigo said quietly. "But I think she actually loves that truck more than anything."

"Well, why wouldn't she?" Azul asked with a semi-concerned laugh. "She built the damn thing from scratch and it was practically her best friend."

"I think it's sweet," responded Tiffany. "I only wish I could be so close with my creations."

"...Mom? I'm right here." Azul said.

"Oh, right." Tiffany brushed the hair out of her face and smirked.

"Wow! Too far!"

"You can dish it out, but you can't take it." Tiffany brushed the hair even more dramatically out of her face.

"I'm not touching this with a ten foot pole." Indigo said, putting some distance between his wife and first daughter.

"Thank you Moooom! I love youuu! I love you, Dad! I love you, Azul!" Violet had already clambered inside her excited vehicle- Baby Blue was eagerly shifting her weight from her left wheels to her right wheels. She honked as Violet was putting her seatbelt on. Sky's goodbyes became hard to hear over the rumbling the engine and the thick surface of the bulletproof glass.

So she started waving frantically and also beeped her horn. Everyone cleared out of the driveway.

"Bye!" Sky shouted, bouncing up and down in the driver's seat of the massive SUV. She had been nervous, and soon she would be again, but with Baby Blue at her side she knew nothing could go wrong.

Sky was grinning ear to ear, using her sleeve to wipe away her tears. "I'm gonna be a Huntress. I know I am. That's gonna be what I do with my life, Baby Blue. I'm ready. I can do this!"

Her travel time to Beacon was shorter than the other students. She didn't need an airship, and she take herself there. Sky was just glad she had a driving liscence that allowed her to drive by herself- she had gone out of her way to get it as early as possible so she could take Baby Blue wherever they wanted to go. Sky was born and raised in Vale, in the outskirts of the Residential District. Beacon was so big, Sky was pretty sure you could see it from miles away. It was just that- a beacon.

Once she was there, she organized a parking garage for Baby Blue to stay in. With the other vehicles, though the armored SUV was certainly more imposing than the other civilian vehicles. "Alright, girl," Sky said, hopping down out of the drivers seat.

"Stay here. It might be a while before we see each other." She rested her forehead against the side of the vehicle, running her hand up and down the door. Baby Blue leaned into her.

"But when we do...we might be running down some Grimm. Does that sound fun? Sounds fun to me! Who's a good girl!" She reached up and rubbed the rim of the SUV's windows, towards the roof. Baby Blue stomped her tire excitedly. "Who's a g-"

Some business looking guy was leaving his car. He was staring at the unusual display. Not like she could blame him. Sky's face lit up bright red and she distanced herself from Baby Blue, who seemed disappointed. Sky waved at him and he went on his way. Sky cleared her throat.

"Um, sorry. It's you- you're the good girl. I'll- I'll see ya later, Baby Blue." She patted the SUV one more time. She went to the back of the truck, opened the doors and pulled out a metallic suitcase about two and a half feet long. A large portion of yellowed scotch tape had been attached to the front, the words "Big Wrench" written across the front. She closed the door, locked it, and hurried off to the main area of Beacon.

That metal case, combined with her back pack, and the luggage she was dragging behind her, meant Sky was cartoonishly overloaded. That was why it was such a blessing when that fancy guy with all the luggage came along. "Oh! Oh. Thank you so much! Phew! That was- that was getting heavy. I really didn't- oh- yeah, that's okay. Okay! Good luck with your, uh, your job. Thanks again you, uh- he- he's gone. Okay."

She cleared her throat and continued onward, now only with her case labeled Big Wrench.

Compared to many of the other people her, her outfit was decisively working class. She wore the same loose fitting baggy green jumpsuit, unzipped a little with a white t-shirt underneath. Across her chest was the strap that kept Big Wrench's case on her. There was a belt around her hips that sagged a little bit to one side, and the legs of her jumpsuit were tucked into a pair of boots. On her right hand there was a fingerless glove, and her left hand was obviously metallic in nature. Finally atop her purple hair, which was tied into two short ponytails, there was a green cap. Resting on the cap was a pair of goggles. Sometimes to complete the look she wore a pair of headphones, but those were currently waiting for her in her luggage.

She listened to Carlisle's speech. She had to admit, she was a little disappointed she wasn't getting to see the famous Doctor Ozpin. Still, this guy seemed pretty cool.

"Whoo!" Sky shouted as his speech finished, clapping her hands together. It was an odd sound of cloth on steel. "Alright..!" Was...anyone else clapping? Sky stopped clapping and pulled her cap a little lower over her eyes, smiling sheepishly.

"Oh! So it's like a sleepover!" Sky had said to no one in particular. "I don't think I've ever had one of those before."

She had managed to secure a small little place for herself. A sleeping bag and pillow. She had switched into her pajamas, which were quite reminiscent of her jumpsuit. Now it was a baggy green and white striped pajama stop and baggy bottoms of an identical color and pattern. Her left foot was tucked into a slipper, and right foot, the one made of metal, clanked on the wooden floor of the great hall. Her pajama bottoms had been tied into a knot above her knee at the right leg, just so her metal foot didn't tear into them. Everyone could see it was a prosthetic, and also that it wasn't entirely bionic. It looked like a simple one that shouldn't move on it's own, but it did anyway. That same faint blue glow was there where flesh met metal.

Finally, she still had the green cap on her head, though the goggles were absent now.

Violet had left her corner and was looking around. "Hey...hi...hello! My name's Violet, but you can call me Sky if you want. Oh, uh, oops, excuse me."

Sky's eyes lit up as she saw something she didn't expect to see. Some guy was holding a puppy! A cool little shadow puppy thing! Sky gasped and trotted over to him. "Wow! They're so cute! What's their name?" She put her hands on her cheeks.

"Oh wooow! Is that your Semblance? That is so cool! You have a dog Semblance awww amazing! Wow! Can I pet them?" Sky had forgotten to introduce herself or ask Bren's name.

@Dark Cloud I also had the same confusion, lol. It will only cost Frog 1 EXP to Friend Heart somebody. If he was Level 4, it would cost 2 EXP points.

Kasugano Sakura

Level 4: 30/40
Location: On the Atomos over Black Bay
Word Count: 999
Points Gained: 2
New EXP Balance--- Level 4: 32/40

A pit of horror and dread began to build in Sakura's heart as she watched the living ship be devoured from the inside out. No matter how many fireballs she threw, more kept coming. At this point, some dissonance between her own spirit and Araisho's made itself apparent. Sakura, by herself, would certainly have had a full on panic right now. Or have jumped down into the fray and began wildly punching. But made more composed by Araisho's power, she managed to keep herself under control.

(It makes no sense for me to jump down there. I was assigned with the Atomos. I'm one of the four ship girls onboard. If something were to happen to the Atomos, they'd need my help. Once the Atomos pushes up the river, they'll need my help. I can't be everywhere at once. This is a huge battle, and I have friends everywhere. What if I jump down there and then the Atomos crashes? No. The plan was to split forces evenly among both vessels- and that's what we're doing.)

Sakura exhaled. There. Fine! The rationality didn't help with her feelings, though. This war was even worse than she thought it would be. She knew it would be bad, but there was just so much happening. At the very least she had tried to mentally prepare herself for witnessing...death.

She hadn't joined in on the navy's enthusiasm. But being nervous all the time wasn't doing much good for her spirit or resolve. She used to be so much more confident about this being a hero thing. Now, though? That facade of confidence was pretty much shattered. It didn't do anyone much good for her to be lying to them and herself, anyway. She'd never been very good at concealing her real feelings, as much as she wanted to put on a brave face.

These thoughts passed through her mind in the space between fireballs. Even now, fighting helped her think. But even this would be interrupted as the action came more directly to her.

Sakura blinked in surprise as a small child deftly navigated from Shippy onto the Atomos.

(That kid, with the hat! What was her name again?)

The Atomos zoomed forward. She braced her legs, maintaing balance. Sakura whirled around. She knew what this meant- they were going toward the big bird. It was a good move? Certainly an offensive one, and she could respect that! It was also more fortunate than she realised. With her attention drawn fully to her own situation, she was made unaware of the dire situation facing Shippy and her crew. Bizarre transformation included. She was also barely even aware of some things, like where Hat Kid, Rika, and Ranger were. She just assumed they were somewhere on the ship, catching glimpses of them or what they were doing out of the corner of her eye. It was just so much! Even her fight with Bella was relatively contained.

It was Bella, though, who saved the day. She even sacrificed her hat to do it. Without her the bird definitely would have dodged their charge. Sakura found herself shrinking away from the Water Princess though. She was reminded of the woman she and Ranger faced down.

"Woah..." Sakura said, eyes wide. There was both awe and intimidation on her face of Bella's pure destructive power and intensity. Sakura knew first hand that she was not someone to be taken lightly.

That was all she could say, though, as now they were on a collision course with a giant bird. Hopefully it didn't rock the ship too much. Just in case, Sakura hopped up onto the roof and grabbed Bella by the shoulder and arm, keeping her steady.

(Wow that bird is really big.)

Sakura briefly glanced around as she heard- no, felt- a massive laser be fired. She didn't get much of a good look, but she saw the light come from Shippy and saw it rip into the distant islands.

"Was that good!?" She shouted to no one in particular.

And now a giant Bowser, screaming in mad glee, was preparing to battle a boss monster. Geralt was also preparing to board it. It was awesome, in the true definition of the word. This was one hundred times the spectacle of her fight against the Water Princess. This even surpassed what little she saw of Ryu fighting Seth. This was a battle- not a duel, or 1v2. A battle of multi-versal proportions. It was...it was..!

"This is crazy!" She shouted, the edges of her voice shrill. She held on tighter to Bella, now for her own support rather than helping her friend.

Just like before, she managed to set her feelings aside. Geralt and Bowser could use her help. If they failed, the Atomos and everyone on it were in serious trouble. Lives were on the line. Keep being brave!

Sakura charged forward. "Here I come!" She announced to her teammates. She leapt into the air and brought her fists down in a hammer blow onto the bird's body. She dropped down with gravity until she was at the bird's side. Combos and technique weren't necessary. Instead Sakura took a stance and just alternated strikes. Left elbow, right punch. She leaned into the strikes, her entire body sliding back from the impact of her own blows. She had to walk forward to stop from pushing herself out of range. She worked a relatively small area of its massive body, but her strikes still held a lot of impact.

If Geralt and Bowser did lots of damage, Sakura would take out a Friend Heart and push it into the bird. Maybe then it would fly away and leave them alone. She did learn from her fight with Karin that there were no negative consequences to attempting to Friend Heart someone or something. If she failed, she wouldn't lose any of her familiarity with the world around her.
Emily Dawson

Emily had nodded at Valerian's gratitude.

Emily incorrectly describing her memory as poor was about to become more accurate. Whatever she experienced in those moments between the world they left behind and the one they entered would be lost to her. Her back straightened as she realised the difference. "AAAH!" She screamed, startled.

Emily gasped. "I, uh, I don't- I can't, we shouldn't- why are we-..." Her ramblings became utter nonsense.

Emily's blue eyes widened as she turned around, taking in the sudden change of environment. Her mouth had fallen open. It was like Doctor Stanton's office, but different. Older and in ruin. They were alone, and they had been sucked through the portal into another place!

Emily's hands began to shake, causing her to drop her sketchbook. "Oh! Oh, no!" Thankfully it didn't land on a damp spot. She gathered it and, hands still shaking, managed to cram the sketchbook back into her purse. She was breathing heavily and on her knees. She struggled back to her feet and whirled around.

"...the other world, this other place? A pinhole camera can take pictures without a lense, as long as the original image has inverted colors. Doors Everywhere." She began speaking how she usually did.

This was awful. This was strange. This was...phenomenal. Despite the adrenaline and the fear running through her veins, an uneasy smile spread across her lips. "Inverted. It's real. It's real it's real it's real it's real. It's real!" She looked off towards the stairwell. Don't Go.

Emily turned around, her smile fading when she saw how sad Valerian was. "Oh, Valerian. I'm sorry this happened to you." She said apologetically. Emily placed a trembling hand on her chest, feeling her own beating heart. She took a couple deep breathes, trying to calm down. The shaking stopped, most likely thanks to her medicine.

Emily looked between Valerian in the mirror. "Even if you restore it, the mirror c-can't see us anymore." She waved her hand in the mirror, demonstrating her lack of reflection.

"I think we're trapped until we find another doorway out. And b-besides, someone might need our help." Emily said, proving Valerian's assumption true. "And besides besides...I don't want to leave just yet. I'm not just going to leave and pretend this never happened. Maybe Dr. Stanton would be disappointed in me but I want to see more." She admitted with a nervous giggle.

Emily reached into her back pocket and check her flip phone. "No connection." She snapped it shut.

"But I definitely don't think we should split up. Two people can see each other, but one person can't see themself. If nobody sees you, then you might as well not even exist. But I also think trying to put this broken mirror back together is a no-go. It's broken glass, too, you might cut yourself, Valerian." Emily advised.

The blonde girl reached into her purse and produced a little pink flashlight. "I explore subway tunnels, abandoned buildings, and the city at night all the time." She said, flicking it on. The light, should it work, would be enough to guide their way. Certainly not the brightest bulb in the world, but a light was a light.

"Dark places have lots of secrets to hide. And this looks like the darkest place." Emily said, afraid and excited.
