Name: Vulviingkonahrik
Age: "I, little one, have spent 712,582 years, 6 months, 12 days and 8 hours on this middle earth"
Race: Wyvern (The Wyvern were an offshoot of the Dragons in ancient times. They strikingly different than dragons in some ways, and strikingly similar in others. The Dragons found them ugly, loathsome and lowly, and so the Wyvern were persecuted in the Dragon Kingdom for their differences and thus fled south. They are long since extinct, save Vulviingkonahrik)

A Wyvern is a winged serpent with two legs and two wings instead of the Dragons four legs and two wings, and has long since sank into myth. He is coloured coal black, though when he breaths his fiery breath or when he is angered his wings turn a brilliant orange, and when he uses his freezing frost breath or feels emotionally touched his wings turn to a icy blue. His serpent eyes are a brilliant emerald green and his sharp, white teeth gleam like dangerous steel razors in the light. Once upon a time he crushed bears under his foot and swallowed men whole. But that has all changed over time. Age has taken it's toll on his once great size, and malnutrition has worn away his muscle mass as sandpaper would to chalk. Now, he is barely 24 foot (8 foot of which was his tail) long and 6 foot high
Job: Desposed Wyvern Emperor
Skills & Abilities: Elemental breath: The Wyvern inherited the traits of elemental breath from their Dragon cousins. Some are known to breath ice and freeze there opponents into human ice-lollies, others to launch fire at their opponents and turn them to ash that scatters upon the wing. Some can do both. There are tales that they can use this to do other things, such as sending out a blast of air, as well.
Limited Flight: I'm sure you didn't think the wings were just for show! The Wyvern can lift off the ground and fly far above it, seeing the world as the birds do and seeing the kingdoms of men like little anthills. But old wounds rarely fully heal, and an already tiring action is turned demanding by the damage to his wings from that crash so many years ago. Carrying around those heavy bones with tattered wings and ageing muscles it no easy task, and to his dismay he can not carry himself high for very long, forces him to move along the ground more often than not, as the little ones do. Shameful.
Talons and teeth: The Wyvern have sharp claws and teeth with which they can main and devour their opponents. In the old days, the Wyvern would clean their teeth using 'Toothrocks', formations they would break out of the stones themselves and use to remove bits of the unlucky out from their teeth and to remove the plaque from them. This led to one incident where a young maiden was chained to one of these 'Toothrocks' by locals as a sacrifice, and let out an almighty cry when the Wyvern went to clean his teeth. In shock, the Wyvern recoiled and said "Well little one! Whatever is the matter!" The maiden replied "You're going to eat me! That's what monsters do!" The Wyvern let out a laugh and said "If you little ones are going to chain yourselves to a larger creatures toothbrush, you can hardly be surprised when you are eaten!"
Tail: Do not disrespect their tail, it's large, mean and they can use it to hit thigns with surprising strength. Also, insulting ones tail is an insult among the Wyvern, as long tails were a favoured characteristic found attracted among many.
Massive stomach: The Wyvern are known to seem to have near bottomless stomaches, devouring meals that would seem impossible to even a creature there size and asking for seconds.
Horns: Vulviingkonahrik was one of a few Wyvern to have developed two pronged horns from his head. These emerged only when they had reached a great age
Durability: Wyvern scale and bone is extremely tough and makes them formidable opponents. There are several areas that are much weaker than others, however, due to their design. Do not think that as he has grown weaker he would be easy prey. Even the oldest of Wyverns have tough scales and can fight viciously
Inventory: He has no inventory because he has no where to put the stuff, duh. He objects to having to carry anything except when absolutely required, because to the Wyvern having to carry something was the duty of slaves (The exception is beings in combat). To have a Wyvern allow you to ride upon them was a sign of great deference as one of their weak points is where their neck meets their skull on the back of their head, and thus has only ever been achieved once, over four hundred thousand years ago.
Personality: Vulviingkonahrik is proud and aloof (Though much, much less so than he was before the fall of the Wyvern Kingdom) and, given his size (Or rather, former size) and much longer life span, calls the smaller beings 'little ones'. He can be extremely cruel, a trait of the Wyvern due to their bitter history with the Dragons, and treats the Dragons with great disdain. Due to him suspecting to be the last of his kind, he is lonely and harbours great anger towards the southern kingdoms for the long since past uprising that it is unlikely they even remember! But a Wyvern remembers. A Wyvern never forgets. And a Wyvern holds long, long grudges.
Bio: Vulviingkonahrik's past has faded into fairy tales, known only by word of mouth and ancient, dusty parchment that is as likely to disintergrate into dust the second your lift it as it is to reveal anything.
Regardless, it is said that long ago, the Wyverns left the Dragon Kingdom, where they were persecuted for their race, and fled south. Here they set up the 'Wyvern Kingdom', which composed parts of of the modern Warrior Kingdom, the Fairy Kingdom and the Salty Kingdom, specifically where the three meet near the bay.
Vulviingkonahrik ruled over a stretch of land, using his powerful body and powerful elemental breath to strike down any who dared to oppose his claim to power. It was a prosperous endeavor for the Wyvern Lords. They stylised themselves in different ways in their parts of the Wyvern kingdom. Atrocious acts were commited in the name of the Wyvern Lords
The legend goes that the guts of Fae, Elves, Merpeople, frogmen, Amazon and Orc grew bold, however, and they were unprepared to put up with the Dragons any longer. They rose up, doing battle with the Dragons and their loyalist armies before casting their broken carcasses into the depths of the icy bay.
That is where the legend ends, in the knowledge that the Wyvern will never again gobble up maidens.
But... there is another part to the tale. Vulviingkonahrik escaped with his life after being wounded, and crashed in the normal kingdom, not far from Burbof, in the field of a farmer. The farmers daughter found the wounded Wyvern, and led it to the safety of a cave, where Vulviingkonahrik would be nursed back to health. The humbling experience of surviving only because a mortal who he was several dozen times the size of allowed it was humbling for him, and changed his perspective of the world. In the caves, he learnt the tongues of man from the young girl
The Farmer was much less pleased with the destroyed crops, especially as he could no longer afford to pay his taxes. The Watch arrived when he didn't, and despite his protests threatened to drag him and his family to the gaol for their debt. Vulviingkonahrik watched from the cave, and the moment the Watchman drew his sword, the Wyvern soared into the air, letting out an almighty roar and flying past, gripping the watchman from the floor and carrying him into the air before tossing him to his doom. The Wyvern arced around, swooping back down from the sky and letting out a mighty roar, and from his mouth lept an inferno, the flames scorching the floor and turning the guardsmen to ash
The commotion was so much that the king himself rode out with a contigent of 'soldiers' to meet the mighty beast. Knowing his forces were no match for the behemoth which stood before him, the king called for a truce with the Wyvern. The Wyvern spoke that, due to his culture, he was in debted to the farmers daughter, and thus could allow no harm to befall her nor her family. The king, a cunning man, made a proposition. If Vulviingkonahrik was willing to protect the city of Burbof and serve his descendents as required, the King would exempt the girls family and all their descendents from tax.
And so it has been, for nearly 300,000 years. To this day, her descendents pay no tax to the king (None, even they themselves, are entirely sure why this is, save for the king and his most trusted) and Vulviingkonahrik is in service to Burbof, hiding in the caves which were concealed by a magic charm and awaiting a time he might be called.
Now, that time has come. The new king has awoken him from his age old slumber and told him of cunning plot. The Wyvern left the caves to do his duty, and though many were surprised and understandably terrified by the sudden appearance of the mythical creature (though there are many who doubt that he is a 'true' wyvern, instead believing he is merely a deformed dragon) the Wyvern has been tasked with assisting the others in their quest to steal away the Princesses
