IC Summaries: Post 1-10

1. Aegor Rivers laments the fate of Daemon Blackfyre, while appraising Daemon's oldest surviving son. This younger Daemon possess many positive traits for rule, however, Rivers holds great concern over the young man's night time activities, and the potential threat that has towards his claim for the throne. Aegor confronts Damon over the matter, which ends in an agreement. Daemon will control his urges.

2. Prince Daeron Targaryen and Gwayne Corbray visit a tavern, one of the latest in a long line. The drunkard Prince orders the Legendary Knight to fight in his stead, a suggestion that the knight himself finds deplorable. As they leave, Gwayne questions a world in which Blackfyre could be labelled a bastard, and this Daeron a prince.

3. An arguablly mentally unstable, but no less competent, Lord Tyrell accosts Lord Norridge for selling paupers into slavery. Lord Tyrell's anger stems from not wanting to appear weak in front of his rivals across Westeros and his rage terrifies the lesser lord. Lord Norridge's lands are confiscated and his children taken as wards, he is personally sent to the Shield Islands. Lord Tyrell once again, watches the birds.

4. Bloodraven and Willem Morningwood meet within Maegor's Holdfast. Bloodraven shows an understanding of the man's true role at court and appear to come to an understanding. Willem contemplates his dire view of the Targaryens and their bastard lines.

5. Jasper Arryn and Septon Filwood discuss their plans for an invasion of Andalos while the Gulltown tourney, and its ancilliary events, are underway. The pair show great dedication to the Seven and eventually the Septon leaves to pray on the matters discussed, such as an assault on Pentos.

6. Lord Balfar Brune prepares to leave for Gulltown. He argues with his brother, Ser Aemon about the purpose of his journey to the tourney. When Lord Brune leaves his brother, Aemon things on his own plans, to assure his own support and of the superiority of his abilities of intimidation over the economic means his brother uses to secure loyalty.

7. The Brothers Raymun Storm and Lyonel Baratheon are found in yet another explosive argument. The history of their relationship, and the current state of their house is revealed, while it also becomes apparent that both will be competing in the tourney, Raymun to earn a knighthood and thus no longer be his brother's squire.

Meanwhile, back at Storm's End, Brandon and Lyalla Baratheon are interrupted late at night by a summons for Brandon by Lord Rynil, who reveals his plan to have Brandon become Master of Ships, in part fearing that his son has become too sedentary.

8. Baelor and the Seventy Seven spend seven days repenting on the Quiet Isle, before heading to, and competing in the Tourney of Gulltown, with mixed success in both the joust and melee.

9. Edwina Sarwyck recalls the end of the Blackfyre Rebellions, before we find her in the present on the continent of Essos. Contemplating the deaths of her family and companions over the years, she resorts to move on from her current situation.

10. Victor Redwyne contemplates the Blackfyre Rebellions and how they continue to influence the Arbor, while watching Arbor life go by. He concludes with a plan to take his daughter riding.

IC Summaries: 11-20

11. Lord Calder Frey and Janos Tully meet at Riverrun. Calder Frey agrees to wed Joan Tully in exchange for control over Fairmarket and its bridge, Lord Tully agrees, having secured a marriage for one of his many daughters.

12. The Tullys, minus Calder, are travelling by River to the Gulltown Tourney. Faedric Tully has a confrontation with his sister, Joan, over a supposed mistake in the dosage of their elder brother's medicine. Faedric feigns innocence, but secretly curses his sister's meddling. The same Faedric then proceeds to talk with his mother and wife, the former of whom aggravates him by assuming authority over the later. The conversation ends with Faedric's internal worries about his own fidelity.

13. Allyria Martell and Ser Drayton explore the Riverlands on their way to the Gulltown tourney. The pair stay at an inn, the Silver Creek, where the Princess, of all things, assists in the kitchens. In the morning, upon hearing a scream, the only thing beyond divine intervention that would cause the battered Princess to rise, Allyria is struck by a stone, the work of an angry mob. She wakes up in a cell, finding Ser Drayton and a stranger, Byron. All three of them being imprisoned after a misunderstanding involving a horse, a girl and broken legs. Eventually the trio escape, after some wiggling by the Princess.

14. Erryk Yronwood, notorious debauchee, even among the Golden Company, is rudely awoken by the summons of Aegor Rivers. Robb Reyne is also about camp, awake and lamenting the loss of family and the rebellion. He mentally comments on the state of the Golden Company, as an honorable, but temporary means to an end, like many, placing the true responsibility on the new Daemon Blackfyre, before he to is summoned by Rivers. There, the plan is revealed to assault Pentos, the two aforementioned sellswords being tasked to scout the city.

15. Jhavek Hill laments his status as a bastard and the death of his father in the Rebellions, then his own subsequent failure to avenge said death. He is travelling to the Gulltown Tourney to prove to his family, those who doubt his place, that he is truly his father's son.

16. Robb Reyne and Erryk Yronwood are travelling to Pentos. They decide on a cover, Robb to pose as a knight and Erryk his squire, despite the Yronwood's pride. The plan is to approach, and eventually enlist the aid of the Bright Banners in taking the city, granting them a force within. While such matters are discussed, so to is their current situation and differing backgrounds.

17. Baelor Manderly, Jasper Arryn and Septon Gilwood discuss the state of the realm, finding common ground in their loathing of the heretical ways of Westeros. Baelor pledges himself and the Seventy Seven to the Crusade for Andalos.

18. Tybolt Lannister arrives, without pomp but not secretly, in the Lion's Den, a respectable tavern on the docks of Lannisport. He confronts two traders, one of whom flees, about the death of Martys Lannister years before. He gives instructions to the man who remains and upon leaving the tavern, watches his more cowardly, or agile. companion's head swing from the tavern sign.

19. Ser Otho Bracken finally arrives in time for the tournament after being delayed by the investigation in the death of Prince Baelor, having to resort to the dreaded means of sea travel. Ser Otho performs dreadfully in the joust, being unseated by an unnamed hedge knight, several men at arms have to restrain him to prevent his bloody revenge. In recompense, he earns victory in the melee, taking his violent anger out on the foes arrayed before him.

20. Allyria, Drayton and Byron encounter the mountain clans on their way to the Tourney at Gulltown, defeating their attack, although Allyria suffers a serious blow to the head. The trio leave the only survivor, the clansmen who dealt the blow, unconscious. When they arrive at Gulltown, they are permitted past the Blood Gate due Drayton's fame as Sword of the Morning and only into the city itself after Allyria reveals herself the Princess of Dorne.

House Royce of Runestone

"We Remember"


House Royce of Runestone is an old and powerful house of The Vale of Arryn, tracing their lineage back to the days of the First Men, before the Andals came to Westeros. They rule over their lands from their seat at Runestone, holding dominion over the lands surrounding the great and ancient castle.

In the Targaryen Civil War - the Dance of Dragons - House Royce declared alongside their liege lords, House Arryn of the Eyrie, in supporting the Blacks. They were eventually defeated in the war, and the heavy fighting cost the life of the then-current Lord Royce: causing the subsequent warding of his young son until he came of age.

When the tensions rose between Daemon Blackfyre and Daeron Targaryen, resulting in the outbreak of war between the two men and their supporters, a summons arrived at Runestone: the call of House Arryn, for House Royce to muster their banners and to fight under their liege lords. Rather than answering the call of House Arryn, however, the then-Lord of Runestone, Balon Royce, declared on behalf of Daemon Blackfyre: believing that he had a claim to the throne, having received his father’s sword rather than Daeron.

Many of the minor Houses of the Vale rebelled against the Arryns, including House Sunderland, and they were led by Balon Royce and his three sons: Benjen, Cerrick and Gerold. They rode forth from The Vale in force, evading the forces of their liegelord befire they joined forces with Daemon Blackfyre and the host he was amassing in the Riverlands. The fighting was intense, but it seemed that Daemon would be victorious, with all odds pointing in his favour.

On the eve of the Battle of Redgrass Field, Ser Quentyn was slain by a royalist archer: the first sign, perhaps, that the odds of the rebellion were turning in House Targaryen’s favour. Despite this, House Royce remained loyal to Daemon, and Balon’s forces were part of the charge that shattered Lord Arryn’s van: an act of rebellion that could never be forgiven, after the defeat of the rebels at the hands of the loyalist forces.

After the battle was lost, Balon had already lost one son, Cerrick, and had no desire for any more of his own blood to be shed. He surrendered to the royalist army, presenting himself to the wounded Lord Arryn and requesting mercy for his sons in return for his own life. His final wish was granted, and Lord Balon Royce was executed, his body given to his sons to take back to their home at Runestone.

Lord Balon’s sons have never forgotten the fate of their father, and although they know that Lord Arryn had shown mercy to their House, the Royces of Runestone had always born a slight animosity to those who ruled over them from The Eyrie, made worse so in recent years by the zealous nature of Jasper Arryn, the new Lord of the Vale - believing the influence the boy’s uncle has over him to be far too great. Despite the feelings of dissent they feel towards their Lord, House Royce remain loyal to The Eyrie, not wishing to repeat the mistakes and bloodshed of the past.

Name: Maekar Targaryen
Age: 35
Appearance: Violet eyes and blond-near-white hair, Maekar looks every bit the Targaryen that he is. Powerfully built and sporting a thick, square-cut beard, he makes for an imposing figure both on and off the battlefield. Pox scars marr his cheeks, and his eyes feature a grim, hard gaze.

Personality: Being the fourth son of Daeron II, Maekar has always been an unlikely candidate for the throne. This simple fact combined with his ambitiousness has made Maekar determined and proud but embittered man that refuse to be consider lesser than his brothers, even though this sentiment is a common one among ordinary people and acquainted alike. He lacks the bravery of Baelor, the cleverness of Aerys and the gentleness of Rhaegel, yet retains a measure of the two former traits, and considers the third a weakness.

Maekar is a martial man and well versed in the art of combat, something his oldest brother Baelor learned the hard way. He carries a large mace in battle, rather than the more common sword. Moreover, Maekar is a capable leader and knows it. He is proud to the point of being vain, and presently seeks the position as Hand of the King.

While Maekar didn’t look up to Baelor, he very much regrets killing him. Opting to put the blame on one of his own sons, Aerion, Maekar has become further embittered by the ordeal, and is more prone to violence than ever. He feels disregarded by peers and subjects alike, receiving little of the praise he has deserved and all of the blame.

Biography: Never expected to rule, Maekar spent much of his childhood trying to impress his father and older brothers. Sometimes succeeding, more often not, Maekar came to be a very ambitious and proud boy, refusing to let mistakes or shortcomings subdue him. Ever since being a child, Maekar has been powerfully built for his age, and swinging a sword came naturally to him. In this area, only Baelor “Breakspear” could match his younger brother when they were young. Whereas Baelor would grow up to be the natural heir to the throne not only by birth but also by virtue, Maekar were always – and perhaps rightly so – considered to be less refined, intelligent and chivalrous, always standing in his brother’s shadow.

Maekar married young to [WIP].

During the Blackfyre Rebellion, Maekar served as one of the Targaryen force’s commanders. It was his shield wall that held against the "mad" attack of his uncle Bittersteel in the Battle of the Redgrass Field. When his brother Baelor attacked the rebel army from the rear the battle was won. Later a song was made about the battle, "The Hammer and Anvil", with Baelor the hammer and Maekar the anvil.

Nevertheless, Maekar felt unappreciated. The victory was more attributed to his brother and the errors of Daemon Blackfyre than to his efforts. In other areas he also continually stood in the shadow of his brothers, wounding his considerable pride.

Then, the Tourney at Ashford arrived. Maekar was there to see his sons Daeron and Aerion compete, while his fourth son Aegon was to squire for Daeron. The tourney proved disastrous for Maekar and his sons. Daeron drank himself into a stupor before reaching the tournament, Aegon joined the service of the hedge knight Dunk in a disguise as "Egg", and Aerion shamed himself during the joust by killing his opponent's horse. When Dunk attacked Aerion to defend an innocent puppeteer and Aerion demanded a trial by combat, Maekar supported Aerion's call for vengeance as well as Daeron's accusation that Dunk had kidnapped Aegon.

During the trial of seven, Maekar came to blows with his brother Baelor, who fought for Dunk, and delivered a lethal mace blow to Baelor's head. Baelor survived the trial, but died soon after taking off his helmet. Maekar suspected that he would thereafter be held in suspicion as a kinslayer. Dealing with the problems of his sons, Maekar banished Aerion to the Free Cities and offered Dunk a position in his personal guard to serve as a role model for Aegon. After Dunk refused, Maekar allowed Aegon to accompany Dunk as his squire.

House Sunderland of the Sisters


"Come What May"

House history:
House Sunderland once ruled the Sister isles as petty kings, in truth the island was no more than a nest for pirates, the Sunderlands being chief among them, intercepting vessels travelling the narrow sea. Things changed when the sistermen drew the ire of the king in the North and the Starks soon launched an invasion to the outmatched islands in what would become known as the rape of the sisters. As a desperate measure of survival the Sunderlands bent the knee to the Arryn king, after which the Falcon and the Wolf spent many hundreds of years fighting for control of the Sisters leaving it bereft of any wealth it once may of had and in the demesne of the Vale.

In more recent times House Sunderland and the other sisterlords have turned from pirating to smuggling and harbouring of criminals, across the Seven Kingdoms and the free-cities it is known as a den where only the most unpleasant reside, a lawless group of islands whom the Arryns have tenuous control at best. They sided with Daemon Blackfyre during the rebellion, a move which cost them dearly, with the current lord Sunderland's sister being taken as ward while still but a babe and the previous lord losing his head.

House Dayne

Seat: Starfall, a castle in Dorne. Located in the Red Mountains on an island in the Torentine.

Words: Unknown.



Recent events: Ever since fighting under Baelor Breakspear's joint Dorne-Stormlands force during the Blackfyre rebellion, the house of Dayne has been reeling with the loss of its Lord, Mallor Dayne. While Mallor didn't perish in the war, he did sustain permanent damage to his brain, leaving him little more than a mumbling fool. Since then, his youngest brother Criston and, later on, his heir Rolland, have been ruling Dayne's lands in Mallor's stead. Mallor was very popular amongst his subjects, and it took a great deal of time and effort for Rolland to regain the trust and obedience the people had previously had for their lordship.

Now, things are looking up again for House Dayne, as Rolland has proved himself a capable and strong leader. Rolland's cousin, Drayton Dayne, has been named Sword of the Morning after the great knight, as well as their grandfather, Ulrick Dayne passed away. In an unusual move, Drayton has become a sworn sword to the Lost Princess of Dorne, granting both honor and grudges among the Daynes. Tregar, Rolland's younger brother, is bitterly disappointed with not being passed Dawn himself, while their cousin Belgrave feels the same.

The lands prosper as much as circumstances would allow, and Rolland have recently ordered his soldiers, under Tregar's command, to move in against the bandits and highwaymen yet remaining in the region.

House members - family tree

Mallor Dayne, Lord of Starfall, aged 65. Weak and in a near-catatonic state following the wounds he suffered during the Blackfyre Rebellion.

Sybell Dayne, wife to Mallor, aged 60. A kind but frail woman who has spent the last thirteen years caring for her husband, leaving little room for anything or anyone else.
--- Rolland Dayne, their first son, Commander of the Starguard and Mallor’s heir, aged 37. Lord of Starfall in all but name, and a popular and respected leader even among most common folks.

--- Nymeria Dayne, Rolland's wife, aged 38. Mentally strong and intelligent. The marriage between her and Rolland was arranged by the houses of Vaith and Dayne, but they do love one another. Known as an avid falconer, often relying on her two birds to carry out messages.

------ Morrec Dayne, Rolland's son, aged 18. Much like his uncles, Morrec is known for his good looks and talent with women. Little do others know that Morrec prefers men.

------ Jeyne Dayne, Rolland's daughter, aged 17. With her pitch black hair causing rumors about her being a bastard, Jeyne is used to people whispering behind her back, be it about her legitimacy, stunning looks or the fact she is by far more at home dishing out commands than her siblings.

------ Delena Dayne, Rolland's daughter, aged 15. Not as pretty nor as smart as her sister or brother, Delena nevertheless makes up for it by being the far nicest of the trio, and often accompanies her elder house members as they meet with commoners. It is hard to dislike Delena.
--- Tregar Dayne, "The Black Steed", their second son, aged 31. Contemptuous, conniving and physical. Tregar used to be a humorous womanizer and generally decent fellow, albeit with streaks of cruelty. Recent happenings have inflamed Tregar's darker sides to worrying levels, however. Riveting to watch with a blade or even spear in hand.
--- Edric Dayne, their third son, aged 28. If Tregar used to be a womanizer, Edric used to be a damned god of love. Always the best looking male in the Dayne house, Edric always took advantage of the fact and enjoyed it to the fullest extent. Thankfully for the women of the region, Edric eventually came across his match in Gwynn. He isn't the brightest man to see the sun, but is nevertheless witty and entertaining in social situations.

--- Gwynn Dayne, Edric's wife, aged 26. Younger sister to Nymeria, and even more beautiful. Is very much alike her sister, but is afraid of the birds Nymeria holds dear. Witty like her husband, Gwynn is also intelligent and arguably the dominant among the two.

------ Lyessa Dayne, Edric's (first) twin daughter, aged 4. Bright, sparkly and always in a good mood, much like her father.
------ Lyanna Dayne, Edric's (second) twin daughter, aged 4. Bright, sparkly and always in a good mood, much like her father.
Elinor Yronwood, younger sister of Mallor, aged 48.
Wendel Dayne, Mallor's younger brother, deceased (would have been aged 61).

--- Drayton Dayne, Sword of the Morning, Wendel's son, aged 31. Not unlike his cousin Rolland - big, strong and stern yet kind and empathic, to an extent. Is not as sharp and fit for command as his cousin, but one hell of a swordsman. Sworn sword to Allyria Martell, the Lost Princess, his current whereabouts being unknown.
Criston Dayne, Mallor’s youngest brother, aged 56. An old and respected knight. While growing old and possessing few skills off the battlefield, Criston is nevertheless considered a wise man and his counsel is respected by most. Currently serves as Starfall's Master-at-Arms.

--- Belgrave Dayne, Criston’s son, aged 30. Wild and unpredictable, Belgrave is what Tregar would've been if the latter lacked smarts and self-control. He enjoys murder and mayhem and hates his father as much as his father hates him. If it wasn't for the fact that Belgrave went in self-imposed exile two years ago and vanished without a trace, he would likely have birthed a kinslayer by now.

Well, I didn't have anything big thought out. I was considering taking House Qorgyle and focusing on a bastard son of the family, but that's as far as I've gotten as far as plotting it out goes.

Well no, I mean I'd expand on the other members of the family and play them as well, but the only one I've given a lot of thought to is this one bastard. I'll get started on a preliminary draft.
