Do note the history of the North in the House Stark sheet, 'fish. The Blackfyre Rebellion wasn't a mandatory thing, blah blah, king beyond the wall, etc.

I was going with the Boltons having been amongst the volunteers, but I can change it so that the Wildling conflict was the thing that damaged the House, if you want.

Just make note of the volunteer thing is fine but the king beyond the wall is a big deal 10 or so years before the rebellion.

House Royce of Runestone

"We Remember"

House Royce of Runestone is an old and powerful house of The Vale of Arryn, tracing their lineage back to the days of the First Men, before the Andals came to Westeros. They rule over their lands from their seat at Runestone, holding dominion over the lands surrounding the great and ancient castle.

In the Targaryen Civil War - the Dance of Dragons - House Royce declared alongside their liege lords, House Arryn of the Eyrie, in supporting the Blacks. They were eventually defeated in the war, and the heavy fighting cost the life of the then-current Lord Royce: causing the subsequent warding of his young son until he came of age.

When the tensions rose between Daemon Blackfyre and Daeron Targaryen, resulting in the outbreak of war between the two men and their supporters, a summons arrived at Runestone: the call of House Arryn, for House Royce to muster their banners and to fight under their liege lords. Rather than answering the call of House Arryn, however, the then-Lord of Runestone, Balon Royce, declared on behalf of Daemon Blackfyre: believing that he had a claim to the throne, having received his father’s sword rather than Daeron.

Many of the minor Houses of the Vale rebelled against the Arryns, including House Sunderland, and they were led by Balon Royce and his three sons: Benjen, Cerrick and Gerold. They rode forth from The Vale in force, evading the forces of their liegelord befire they joined forces with Daemon Blackfyre and the host he was amassing in the Riverlands. The fighting was intense, but it seemed that Daemon would be victorious, with all odds pointing in his favour.

On the eve of the Battle of Redgrass Field, Ser Quentyn was slain by a royalist archer: the first sign, perhaps, that the odds of the rebellion were turning in House Targaryen’s favour. Despite this, House Royce remained loyal to Daemon, and Balon’s forces were part of the charge that shattered Lord Arryn’s van: an act of rebellion that could never be forgiven, after the defeat of the rebels at the hands of the loyalist forces.

After the battle was lost, Balon had already lost one son, Cerrick, and had no desire for any more of his own blood to be shed. He surrendered to the royalist army, presenting himself to the wounded Lord Arryn and requesting mercy for his sons in return for his own life. His final wish was granted, and Lord Balon Royce was executed, his body given to his sons to take back to their home at Runestone.

Lord Balon’s sons have never forgotten the fate of their father, and although they know that Lord Arryn had shown mercy to their House, the Royces of Runestone had always born a slight animosity to those who ruled over them from The Eyrie, made worse so in recent years by the zealous nature of Jasper Arryn, the new Lord of the Vale - believing the influence the boy’s uncle has over him to be far too great. Despite the feelings of dissent they feel towards their Lord, House Royce remain loyal to The Eyrie, not wishing to repeat the mistakes and bloodshed of the past.

Name: Maekar Targaryen
Age: 35
Appearance: Violet eyes and blond-near-white hair, Maekar looks every bit the Targaryen that he is. Powerfully built and sporting a thick, square-cut beard, he makes for an imposing figure both on and off the battlefield. Pox scars marr his cheeks, and his eyes feature a grim, hard gaze.

Personality: Being the fourth son of Daeron II, Maekar has always been an unlikely candidate for the throne. This simple fact combined with his ambitiousness has made Maekar determined and proud but embittered man that refuse to be consider lesser than his brothers, even though this sentiment is a common one among ordinary people and acquainted alike. He lacks the bravery of Baelor, the cleverness of Aerys and the gentleness of Rhaegel, yet retains a measure of the two former traits, and considers the third a weakness.

Maekar is a martial man and well versed in the art of combat, something his oldest brother Baelor learned the hard way. He carries a large mace in battle, rather than the more common sword. Moreover, Maekar is a capable leader and knows it. He is proud to the point of being vain, and presently seeks the position as Hand of the King.

While Maekar didn’t look up to Baelor, he very much regrets killing him. Opting to put the blame on one of his own sons, Aerion, Maekar has become further embittered by the ordeal, and is more prone to violence than ever. He feels disregarded by peers and subjects alike, receiving little of the praise he has deserved and all of the blame.

Biography: Never expected to rule, Maekar spent much of his childhood trying to impress his father and older brothers. Sometimes succeeding, more often not, Maekar came to be a very ambitious and proud boy, refusing to let mistakes or shortcomings subdue him. Ever since being a child, Maekar has been powerfully built for his age, and swinging a sword came naturally to him. In this area, only Baelor “Breakspear” could match his younger brother when they were young. Whereas Baelor would grow up to be the natural heir to the throne not only by birth but also by virtue, Maekar were always – and perhaps rightly so – considered to be less refined, intelligent and chivalrous, always standing in his brother’s shadow.

Maekar married young to [WIP].

During the Blackfyre Rebellion, Maekar served as one of the Targaryen force’s commanders. It was his shield wall that held against the "mad" attack of his uncle Bittersteel in the Battle of the Redgrass Field. When his brother Baelor attacked the rebel army from the rear the battle was won. Later a song was made about the battle, "The Hammer and Anvil", with Baelor the hammer and Maekar the anvil.

Nevertheless, Maekar felt unappreciated. The victory was more attributed to his brother and the errors of Daemon Blackfyre than to his efforts. In other areas he also continually stood in the shadow of his brothers, wounding his considerable pride.

Then, the Tourney at Ashford arrived. Maekar was there to see his sons Daeron and Aerion compete, while his fourth son Aegon was to squire for Daeron. The tourney proved disastrous for Maekar and his sons. Daeron drank himself into a stupor before reaching the tournament, Aegon joined the service of the hedge knight Dunk in a disguise as "Egg", and Aerion shamed himself during the joust by killing his opponent's horse. When Dunk attacked Aerion to defend an innocent puppeteer and Aerion demanded a trial by combat, Maekar supported Aerion's call for vengeance as well as Daeron's accusation that Dunk had kidnapped Aegon.

During the trial of seven, Maekar came to blows with his brother Baelor, who fought for Dunk, and delivered a lethal mace blow to Baelor's head. Baelor survived the trial, but died soon after taking off his helmet. Maekar suspected that he would thereafter be held in suspicion as a kinslayer. Dealing with the problems of his sons, Maekar banished Aerion to the Free Cities and offered Dunk a position in his personal guard to serve as a role model for Aegon. After Dunk refused, Maekar allowed Aegon to accompany Dunk as his squire.

House Sunderland of the Sisters

"Come What May"

Seat: Castle Wetwalls

House history:
House Sunderland once ruled the Sister isles as petty kings, in truth the island was no more than a nest for pirates, the Sunderlands being chief among them, intercepting vessels travelling the narrow sea. Things changed when the sistermen drew the ire of the king in the North and the Starks soon launched an invasion to the outmatched islands in what would become known as the rape of the sisters. As a desperate measure of survival the Sunderlands bent the knee to the Arryn king, after which the Falcon and the Wolf spent many hundreds of years fighting for control of the Sisters leaving it bereft of any wealth it once may of had and in the demesne of the Vale.

In more recent times House Sunderland and the other sisterlords have turned from pirating to smuggling and harbouring of criminals, across the Seven Kingdoms and the free-cities it is known as a den where only the most unpleasant reside, a lawless group of islands whom the Arryns have tenuous control at best. They sided with Daemon Blackfyre during the rebellion, a move which cost them dearly, with the current lord Sunderland's sister being taken as ward while still but a babe and the previous lord losing his head.

House Dayne

Seat: Starfall, a castle in Dorne. Located in the Red Mountains on an island in the Torentine.

Words: Unknown.

Recent events: Ever since fighting under Baelor Breakspear's joint Dorne-Stormlands force during the Blackfyre rebellion, the house of Dayne has been reeling with the loss of its Lord, Mallor Dayne. While Mallor didn't perish in the war, he did sustain permanent damage to his brain, leaving him little more than a mumbling fool. Since then, his youngest brother Criston and, later on, his heir Rolland, have been ruling Dayne's lands in Mallor's stead. Mallor was very popular amongst his subjects, and it took a great deal of time and effort for Rolland to regain the trust and obedience the people had previously had for their lordship.

Now, things are looking up again for House Dayne, as Rolland has proved himself a capable and strong leader. Rolland's cousin, Drayton Dayne, has been named Sword of the Morning after the great knight, as well as their grandfather, Ulrick Dayne passed away. In an unusual move, Drayton has become a sworn sword to the Lost Princess of Dorne, granting both honor and grudges among the Daynes. Tregar, Rolland's younger brother, is bitterly disappointed with not being passed Dawn himself, while their cousin Belgrave feels the same.

The lands prosper as much as circumstances would allow, and Rolland have recently ordered his soldiers, under Tregar's command, to move in against the bandits and highwaymen yet remaining in the region.

House members - family tree

Mallor Dayne, Lord of Starfall, aged 65. Weak and in a near-catatonic state following the wounds he suffered during the Blackfyre Rebellion.

Sybell Dayne, wife to Mallor, aged 60. A kind but frail woman who has spent the last thirteen years caring for her husband, leaving little room for anything or anyone else.
--- Rolland Dayne, their first son, Commander of the Starguard and Mallor’s heir, aged 37. Lord of Starfall in all but name, and a popular and respected leader even among most common folks.

--- Nymeria Dayne, Rolland's wife, aged 38. Mentally strong and intelligent. The marriage between her and Rolland was arranged by the houses of Vaith and Dayne, but they do love one another. Known as an avid falconer, often relying on her two birds to carry out messages.

------ Morrec Dayne, Rolland's son, aged 18. Much like his uncles, Morrec is known for his good looks and talent with women. Little do others know that Morrec prefers men.

------ Jeyne Dayne, Rolland's daughter, aged 17. With her pitch black hair causing rumors about her being a bastard, Jeyne is used to people whispering behind her back, be it about her legitimacy, stunning looks or the fact she is by far more at home dishing out commands than her siblings.

------ Delena Dayne, Rolland's daughter, aged 15. Not as pretty nor as smart as her sister or brother, Delena nevertheless makes up for it by being the far nicest of the trio, and often accompanies her elder house members as they meet with commoners. It is hard to dislike Delena.
--- Tregar Dayne, "The Black Steed", their second son, aged 31. Contemptuous, conniving and physical. Tregar used to be a humorous womanizer and generally decent fellow, albeit with streaks of cruelty. Recent happenings have inflamed Tregar's darker sides to worrying levels, however. Riveting to watch with a blade or even spear in hand.
--- Edric Dayne, their third son, aged 28. If Tregar used to be a womanizer, Edric used to be a damned god of love. Always the best looking male in the Dayne house, Edric always took advantage of the fact and enjoyed it to the fullest extent. Thankfully for the women of the region, Edric eventually came across his match in Gwynn. He isn't the brightest man to see the sun, but is nevertheless witty and entertaining in social situations.

--- Gwynn Dayne, Edric's wife, aged 26. Younger sister to Nymeria, and even more beautiful. Is very much alike her sister, but is afraid of the birds Nymeria holds dear. Witty like her husband, Gwynn is also intelligent and arguably the dominant among the two.

------ Lyessa Dayne, Edric's (first) twin daughter, aged 4. Bright, sparkly and always in a good mood, much like her father.
------ Lyanna Dayne, Edric's (second) twin daughter, aged 4. Bright, sparkly and always in a good mood, much like her father.
Elinor Yronwood, younger sister of Mallor, aged 48.
Wendel Dayne, Mallor's younger brother, deceased (would have been aged 61).

--- Drayton Dayne, Sword of the Morning, Wendel's son, aged 31. Not unlike his cousin Rolland - big, strong and stern yet kind and empathic, to an extent. Is not as sharp and fit for command as his cousin, but one hell of a swordsman. Sworn sword to Allyria Martell, the Lost Princess, his current whereabouts being unknown.
Criston Dayne, Mallor’s youngest brother, aged 56. An old and respected knight. While growing old and possessing few skills off the battlefield, Criston is nevertheless considered a wise man and his counsel is respected by most. Currently serves as Starfall's Master-at-Arms.

--- Belgrave Dayne, Criston’s son, aged 30. Wild and unpredictable, Belgrave is what Tregar would've been if the latter lacked smarts and self-control. He enjoys murder and mayhem and hates his father as much as his father hates him. If it wasn't for the fact that Belgrave went in self-imposed exile two years ago and vanished without a trace, he would likely have birthed a kinslayer by now.

Well, I didn't have anything big thought out. I was considering taking House Qorgyle and focusing on a bastard son of the family, but that's as far as I've gotten as far as plotting it out goes.

Well no, I mean I'd expand on the other members of the family and play them as well, but the only one I've given a lot of thought to is this one bastard. I'll get started on a preliminary draft.
