An unfotunate situation

"There is no time for this, I understand the implications and I will throw whatever coin you please your way but..." The Counts son said, leaning over the desk
"The mages guild prefers to stay out of politics, surely you understand that." The mage replied firmly from the other side
"Your mages guild trains our warriors, enchants our weapons, sends mages to fight among our own, you're about as wrapped up in our politics as you could be, just deliver the message" The Legate said "It was the Emperor who funded the reestablishment of the Mages Guild from his own pocket. You had dissolved and only reformed when he funded the movement. In return your arch-mage swore an oath of allegiance to the Empire and its peoples, so don't tell me you aren't involved in politics!"
"Do you think it would be good for the guilds image if it turned out it wasn't willing to help the Empire save face?" The dark elf butted in, and the mage finally relented, reaching out and taking the letter
"To the Count, yes? Very well..." He muttered, standing up and leaving the room. Both the man and the let out out a sigh of relief
"Thank the nine for that" The Legate breathed "No doubt we'll be facing enough trouble, without Triarius banging his fist over a damaged image"
"I can only imagine how fast we would have been dismissed"
"Probably before we could even protest..."

Black marsh

The Count and the Elder Councillor had proceeded to follow the argonian, and were stopped in their tracks by the opening of a small portal. A Dremora stepped out in front of them, taking something from his armour and tossing it to them
"Be quick about it, Churl" It hissed, as one of the imperial soldiers bent down, taking the letter and handing it to the Councillor. As it did, the Dremora turned, took a few steps away and cast a spell over its self, disappearing once more.
"What's it say?" The count whispered as the councillor opened it
"It's addressed to you... Its from your own son, and the 3rd legion Legate..." The councillor whispered back, handing it too him. The Dark Elf took it and opened it, reading over it, muttering under his breath
"Dire news... Our assumptions were wrong... Not Morrowind... The ordinators saved the..." He paused, and finishing reading in silence. His son had the cheek to end it with We shouldn't have given in to popular opinion . The arrogant upstart, he's been the first to give in to popular opinion! The Dark Elf and the Councillor exchanged glances with one another, and checked the seal to ensure it was authentic. Sure enough it was. The count quickly crammed it into his pocket, swallowing slightly. This mess would reach the Emperors ears, and there would be trouble because of it. He could almost hear the words now What in oblivion were you playing at?! How did a handful of agents many to evade the legions, time and time again? What would he respond with... No, what could he respond with... Oops.

Stormhold, Black Marsh
20th of Midyear, 4E 205
Stalks-The-Stars
Having left the private meeting with the Cat-folk, the glass armoured Argonian goes to meet the final representatives of the free races of Tamriel. The Orcs arrive next, followed by the Bretons and so on. Each is met with a kind greeting and is directed to castle Moonhall, where the meeting will take place. All the while, Stalks-The-Stars thought upon the meeting with the stranger from Eleswyr…How curious she was.

The next day, on the 21st, the Altmer arrive, bearing gifts and finery that left the Argonian smiling. To think the Altmer were so keen to make this work was…encouraging. “You are welcome here, King of the Altmer. Our hopes are for a profitable agreement indeed.
Castle Moonhall, Stormhold, Black Marsh
22nd of Midyear, 4E 205
Rules-With-Claw and the Various representatives of Tamriel
The grand hall of Castle Moonhall lent more to its Imperial roots than its Argonian heritage, not that it was without the Lizardfolk’s influence. Large statues of various Argonian heroes were erected in the hall’s indented outer ring: The Nirn-chosen, who led the Argonians into Oblivion at the end of the Third age; the First shadowscale from the first age. a featureless woman who reportedly heard the whispers of Sithis himself; Archmagus Tee-zeem, who was one of the first magical beings to walk Apocrypha and return. All held plagues of their deeds and all seemed to gaze at the large round table in the centre of the room: a stone slab with comfortable seats set aside for each representative and a bench behind that could hold 5 guards. In the centre of the stone slab, a small pool of water was fed water from a fountain in the head of a dragon, only to be drained away by stone snakes.

At the head of the table sat the imposing figure of Rules-With-Claw. He was taller than most men, even when sat, with a crown of teeth sat upon his head that once belonged to the King of Black Marsh. His scales were a kaleidoscope of bright colours: greens and reds and blues, glistening like gemstones. Even amongst the races that doubted the Argonian’s right to freedom, he painted a regal picture, a lord amongst lizards, if you will. He was adorned in heavy ebony armour, with a long cloak hanging off of the shoulders that draped down behind him. This was the being that had gathered from all corners of Tamriel the leaders of nations. This was a creature that demanded at least some respect, be it from former conquerors, former slavers or former crusaders.

“Greetings, representatives of each race; It is a pleasure to host you all in what is an unprecedented event among my people. We are not known to be social creatures: we Argonians. My predecessors clung to the shadows of anonymity as a cloak: they feared the light outside of the Black Marsh. I fear no such light, I embrace it.” He rose from his seat, the long cloak rising to tower seven feet tall on the shoulders of a goliath amongst the Argonians. In his hand, he held a goblet of wine, and in front of each representative: several bottles of premium alcohol were stored in bottle: Cyrodilic Brandy, Black-Briar mead, even bottles of rarer wines still. Each uncorked and ready to be poured.

“I would like to lead this summit with a toast. From I, Rules-With-Claw, to you, the representatives of Tamriel, a toast to the success of this summit: May our words today guide the actions of tomorrow.”

Chief Yagurz raised his glass, silently observing the gathered representatives from all across Tamriel and, in all honesty, how the lot of them seemed to be the most outlandish assortment of individuals...He tried to pay little mind to it, but it was one of the more difficult things to accept. Tamriel was a cosmopolitan place, vastly different from the relative cultural and racial homogeneity of Orsinium. Before kicking back a swig from his bottle of Cyrodilic Brandy, Yagurz nodded slightly at Rules-With-Claw’s words. That would be the only alcohol Yagurz would make an effort to ingest. Tonight was a night of business for him, not pleasure.

Balgruuf entered the room, two advisors in attendance while wearing fine clothes and a silver shortsword on his waist. He sat in the room, viewing the bottles of wine and mead. He grabbed for himself and for his advisors three bottles of black-briar mead. For the toast however, he poured himself a glass of Surilie Brother Wine Vintage 399, into a rather medium sized glass, he awaited what Rules-With-Claw’s had to say..

The High King of the Dominion sat with the Lord Commander of the Eight on his left, and the High Justicar of the Thalmor on his right. He was truly impressed by both the size and vibrant colors of this King of the Marsh, and thought he looked a Royal type. At the mention of this toast, he would drink the the Black-briar Mead, and found it unrefined and harsh to his sensitive summer senses. Moving onto the Cyrodilic brandy was better, though he missed the summer wines of his homeland. He would listen intently to this Rules-With-Claws as he continued on.

Niklaus gave a generous smile at the toast, more caring that it was alcohol and therefore a distraction from this tour of a place he never wanted to go, than any sentimental value the gesture held. Brother Montyard, with the help of Everard and Mathieu, had bribed Niklaus’s assistant-advisor to take a walk while the Summit was held in Moonhall. The assistant-advisor had a forgettable enough face and with Montyard’s malleable visage the two could pass as twins as far as Niklaus was concerned. Montyard lifted his glass to his lips but did not drink, for it dulled the senses and made men slow.

Ildoryn raised his glass along with the other representatives inside the room. He was impressed at the audience the Argonians managed to invite, the mere presence of them made him rethink of what the Argonians are truly capable of. He takes a healthy swig from the glass, not minding the taste that the alcohol had. He always favored liquors made from Akavir and Morrowind, but in times like these, any show of distaste would compromise his position. Ildoryn turned his attention back to Rules-With-Claw, eager to hear what the Argonian has to say next.

S’arah sat in a corner with two of her militiamen. As an observer, she had no official part in this meeting. But as a mercenary, the tigress would gladly enjoy any fine liquor presented to her. While the doubt of poisoning was always there, S’arah decided that it would be below the Argonian lord to resort to such dirty tricks. Therefore, the most dangerous risk would be a drunken hangover, something the tigress was experienced in dealing with. Grabbing a cup full of some kind of Tamrielic alcohol, S’arah gobbled down it down, savouring the strange taste of this “Black-Briar Mead”.

Rules-With-Claws remained standing, as he began to speak. “As the one who has called this summit, I think it only fair I lead the conversation initially. No longer does Argonia wish to walk alone amongst the political landscape of Tamriel. We know of the upheaval caused by racial wars, and we know the pain of being hated for your race. For ages, my people were made to hide in the swamps: by the Akavari, by the empire of Tiber Septim and later by slavers who would take everything from us.” He pauses to take a sip from the cup, enjoying the taste of the beverage, and giving himself a moment to think on the next words. “If we were to cling to old hatreds, the Dunmer would not be at this table, nor would the Imperials. Instead, the Argonians wish to rise above. What we seek is naught to do with the past, but the future.”

He clears his throat and speaks in a guttural, unintelligible tongue, the Argonian language of Jel. A guard exited the room, and then re-entered with a sealed chest, placing it by the lord of the Argonians. He made a show of pulling a key from his neck, unlocking the case and grabbing three bundles, covered in cloth. He placed them on the table and looked over the gathered group.

“We seek alliances. We seek trade. We seek political equality and we seek military security. The landscape of Tamriel is full of wars, and we know that to trade with one is to abandon another. That is why I have called this summit. I would have the people of Tamriel make a case for the allegiance of Black Marsh, and the goods we trade.”

He pulled off the first bundle of cloth, revealing a goblet full of gemstones and pearls. Each was flawless and would be the envy of capital shops the land over. “My people offer three main exports in trade. Rich gems and pearls are our current greatest export. Gems that make fine things, and gems that make magical things: this is the first gift we offer.”

Next, he reached for the second bundle of cloth, pulling it loose to reveal a plate of fruit and other grown things. “This is the second thing my people offer. We are a bountiful land for growing, but we are also a land robbed of infrastructure. Every attempt to trade our excess of perishable goods has met with failure and we would like an ally who can cooperate in the construction of a new port city. One that would form a hub of trade between us, and would enable the trade of such great quantities of food, that neither people should go hungry again.”

The last bundle was the smallest yet. It had the shape of nothing natural, and yet it seemed likely the most important. He was careful in the removal of the last cloth, revealing a total of ten vials of liquid, so small in quantity that it was almost missed.”The last thing we offer, is the most important. Never before have the Black Marshes offered to trade this: The sap of Nirn trees. So powerful is the magicka in this sap, that it would be unkind to describe it with words.”

He clicked his fingers, calling forth the Archmagus Maraan’a, the Magus nodded at the lord of the Argonians, before launching a small stream of flame outside an open window. It was a simple enough spell, which most any novice could cast. Taking one of the ten vials, Rules-With-Claws uncorked the vial and threw it into the small gout. A sudden explosion of power filled the room as the fire launched forward, more than five times the intensity of before. “To our new allies, we would offer small quantities of this sap exclusively to do with as they wish. At a later time today, each of you may make use of the sample provided, or take it away with you. The sample is far too small for any meaningful exploration of its qualities.”

Maraan’a cut the spell and bowed to Rules-With-Claws. He stared over the table, having firmly played his hand: Food, riches, an unknown but unbelievable magical component, as well as the promise of Soldiers and Assassins. Now it would be for the rest of the summit to impress him. “Any thoughts, representatives?” He looked at each race’s representative: man, mer and beast alike. Wondering who would break the silence, who would be the first to test the waters?

Though Yagurz was interested in talking, in bargaining and political meandering, he could not feasibly see how Orsinium would be able to aid Rules-With-Claws in his endeavours. Orsinium could greatly benefit from the assassins of Black Marsh as well as the food that they could obtain through a deal with the Argonians...yet, the question remained: What could the Orcs offer in return? Yagurz grumbled as he sat there, staring at the plate of food from Black Marsh, not to mention the plate of gems...there was once a time that the Orcs sought to prove their wealth, or so it was rumoured. These days, it was all about proving the political and cultural resilience of the Orcs within the greater setting of Tamriel, given their past with the Redguards and Bretons.

It took a moment for Yagurz to break the silence, but he eventually worked up the nerve to speak up in front of some members of the highest echelons of Tamriellic society, “I have a proposition.” Yagurz was blunt, this much was certain, in fact he epitomized the idea of Orcish bluntness in matters that required finesse and tact, “The Orcs of Orsinium know little of seacraft, or magic...however, we are skilled warriors and smiths. War, and the tools to make it are at great disposal to my people. We propose a trade: Orcish weapons in exchange for food, as well as military assistance in the event of an attack upon the lands of Argonia.” Yagurz would, of course, have to present these ideas to the Council of Orsinium and to Burkash, however, it was no secret that the amount of food necessary to feed Orsinium would only grow...Yagurz sat anxiously awaiting the counter-offers of the other representatives as well as Rules-With-Claws’ response.

Rules-With-Claw nodded at the offer, glad to see the silence was broken. “Trade is welcome between Orsinium and Argonia. Once the logistics can be figured out, we would trade ore for food and gems: resource for resource between two people who have suffered at the hands of other, cruller races.”

Skyrim was recovering from a civil war , but also knew that now without support from the empire, it needed ally’s… strong ones. The orcs of Orsinium were first on his mind , like minded warriors who shared the same values has the average nord. But he also knew that they had an agenda that couldn’t be trusted nor loyal to Skyrim. He looked to Black Marsh, and to Morrowind , but also Hammerfell. “ The Nords of Skyrim have a request , we would like to begin trade relations and open borders with the great nations of Black Marsh , Morrowind and Hammerfall”. But also purpose a military alliance. The Nords of Skyrim with train these nations in advanced warfare and tactics , in exchange we shall ask one thing of each nation. These discussions can be done behind closed doors, but it’s a start”. “Also if the Orcs of Orsinium would like to trade and have a military agreement with us.. it’ll be another talking point..” Balgruff said hesitantly , knowing that this may be a bad move, but the Orcs have some of the best smiths in all of Nirn.

“With all due respect, Balgruff of the Nords, we would not accept training in warfare from your people. We do not fight like nords because we are not nords: trying to be would insult both races, I think. The Argonians will continue to fight like Argonians, although the offer is appreciated…” Rules-With-Claws clears his throat, sipping some more liquor so as to hide the slightly embarrassed smirk. “Trade, however, is something we are deeply interested in. Your steel and Dwemer metals are of the finest quality, I am assured.”

Aelid was shocked at the potency of the compound, and he couldn't help but look to his Lord Protector excitedly at the reaction of it. The young Altmer at first, felt he should be above such mere things as competing for the favor of a lizard. A sentiment he knew that Aldra would share. Yet if he did not compete for this Royal Lizards affection, perhaps his homeland would burn and sink once more into the sea, a fate he would avoid at all costs. The High King would clear his throat, before speaking;

"This sap is most impressive; as are the gems and rubies you would trade. Surely economic growth shall come to he who would bind themselves to you, as I would, King of the Marsh. Our ships ma travel fairly long distances, and if we build a harbour in Black Marsh to rest in, our ships could reach..." The King stopped, turning to the Justicar expectantly, and she did not disappoint.

“Not King of the Marsh, Lord of the Marsh. It is a small point, but one that I feel important enough to stress. Please, King Altmer, Continue.”

"Our ships could already reach High Rock, Hammerfell, Cyrodiil, Valenwood, Elsweyr and here. If we built this port and we're allowed access to it, we could reach Morrowind without problem, even Vvardenfell would be simple enough. Perhaps as far as Skyrim, if the Eight will it." The Thalmor spoke both loyally and with a cold edge, pointing out the heresy present in the room. Yet Aelid would shoot daggers at her with his eyes, and turn back to the representatives.

"My ships would be at your economic service, Rules-With-Claws, as well as the boons of the Dominion. For all those who would accept my offer, I would form a Trader's Union here and now, and all who would sign up shall have Aldmeri ships in their ports, bringing wealth and exotic goods from every region in the Union. The more who join, the more everyone prospers.

Further Our Arcane Society is one of the most astute institutions of arcane research in the world. I don't think it unreasonable to propose my ships for your gems and sap, King of the Marsh. In turn our glass and elven armor's are some of the most finely crafted in all of Tamriel. Our silks radiate with beauty, and our poets and art are beyond divine. It IS a shame that we are one of the last few bastions of high culture in Nirn." Aelid smiled and sighed, leaning back in his chair. He thought he did well enough, and Dobin gave him an approving smirk.

“ Trading with the Thalmor?!” exclaimed Balgruuf, seeming to look at Aelid. “ You brought Tamriel into a conflict , tore apart families and lives and now you open your arms to trade?”
“I don’t know about the other nations, but Skyrim has no time to be trading with the Thalmor after the events of the Great War.”

Aelid stared blankly at the Nord; almost as if unbelieving. “The Great War was thirty years ago, you old oxen. Besides, I believe High King of Skyrim Jartod has committed all the same sins, and he is your active King, where the crimes you speak are committed by my Father, not I. Tell me, how honorable is Jartod to fight with Ulfric to repel the Empire, and then slaughter him for the Throne? As we all know he did.” Aelid began steaming slightly, and tried to remain calm. He would take no abuse from this brute.

“Jartod never slayed Ulfric first of all, it was a mere rumour, nothing more.” stated Balgruuf, defending Jartod. “Never the less, if you elves believe that you can repent after the sins done in Skyrim and have something to value for Skyrim and her people, then say it right now!”

Aelid would. “I have no quarrel with you, Nord. My ships would land in your docks only with the Jarl’s permission, and only bringing gold and goods. If you are too blind to see I wish to bring food and clothes to your docks then that is your loss, not mine.” Aelid shrugged nonchalantly. It wasn’t the Nords he had travelled all this way for.

Yagurz could really only sit and watch as the King of Alinor and the Skyrim representative proceeded to rip into one another. It seemed like the two of them had a...conflict greater than that of the Orcs and the Bretons, which seemed impossible to Yagurz. As a matter of fact, it seemed absurd to Yagurz. The Bretons had burned the Orcish homelands to the ground, not once but three separate times. What did the Nords have to complain about? Talos Worship? Yagurz almost wanted to snort in bemusement at the quips of Aelid’s entourage. Yagurz slammed his weighty hand on the table with a loud thud, looking to the two of them, “Cease this! Both of you! This is meant to be a peaceful negotiation of terms, not a damned pissing contest. To answer your question, Nord, Orsinium shall not offer military assistance to Skyrim. However, if you wish to speak with me about a possible trade agreement between our two nations, by all means, consult me later and we can discuss the possibility of an envoy being sent to Orsinium to draft an agreement.”

Balgruuf seemed to shake his head has he looked to the paper in front of him, he opened up the Black-Briar Mead bottle and nodded to Yagurz. “ I shall speak with our High King, then we’ll come to an agreement.” said Balgruuf “I would also like to talk with Black Marsh, Hammerfell, and Morrowind about a trade and/ora military agreement.” stated Balgruuf. “One last thing, for the High Elves. We may honor your request, but we speak more about that later.“ said Balgruuf, leaning back into his chair

Aelid smiled charmingly and nodded appreciatively. “The honor is mine, Nord.”

“Well said, Yagurz of the orcs. I find your honesty and curt-ness more and more to my liking. The Argonians would welcome a trade agreement, and a military pact would be…possible.”

“The representative of King Ferrand Bellemont of Daggerfall and High-Rock-At-Large would wish to enter into a trade union with the Altmer. Our two cultures have much to trade with each other and relations could prove to benefit my King and his peers greatly.” Niklaus spoke up, dabbing a handkerchief to his lips after taking a light sip of the wine provided. In turn, Montyard feigned drinking once more before Niklaus spoke again, this time to the Orcs, “Furthermore, old hatreds and stale grudges will not keep High Rock from opening relations with Orsinium. Our wars were fought by Kings who no longer are with us, and neither should their grudges be. What say you?”

Before he made himself seem indifferent to the Argonian offers made, Niklaus reminded himself of whose hall they drank in. Clearing his throat, he continued, “If it so pleases Black Marsh and Alinor, High Rock would be willing to help in any way they can in building a new port city for foreign products to come and go from these very shores. High Rock wishes to openly extend as well a hand of negotiation with the Monarchs and Representatives of any country in this room.”

Balgruuf viewed Niklaus, has a paper slid near him. He had a sip of the Mead before talking. “ High Rock, our neighbours… is trade with Skyrim something of value for you Bretons, or? “ asked Balgruuf. “ Skyrim offers you Steel Armour, Mages Robes , and refined ores in exchange for mages to be a part of the army and help the college of Winterhold , money and various of other items, that shall be confirmed later” stated Balgruuf. “ On top of that , if High Rock does desire, a possible Military alliance with Skyrim” asked Balgruuf, having another sip of the mead.

“My Nordic friend,” Niklaus grinned politely, “King Frithjolf of Jehanna, whom I may not represent but will refer you to, would love to draft any agreement between his Kingdom and yours. As far as trade from Daggerfall and any Kingdom in High Rock? Of course! Though, military aid may not be needed.”

“ Not Direct Military aid, no no, but in an event of a conflict.. “ Balgruuf said, tapping the quill on the paper

“Another point to take up with King Frithjolf and perhaps Grand Duke Beralt of Northpoint. I assure you, Prince Narcisse of Camlorn would greatly appreciate having military ties to Skyrim. Your warriors are legendary.”

Aelid smiled proudly at the words of the Noble from High Rock, and turned to the Thalmor Justicar, who also was smiling at their success. It appeared her fears for their obliteration were slowly fading, and this pleased the young High Elf. Aelid turned to address the Breton, and spoke with a most appeasing and polite tone that only a full blooded Altmer would ever truly master.

“The Altmer would be honored by this arrangement, and would send ships immediately to begin trade routes. If it would please your King, I would send a Thalmor Representative to the Court of your King, for economic and trade purposes only. I assure you.” The grin Aelid gave was one of obvious deceit.

Not a stranger to grins like that, Brother Montyard shifted in his seat and a small increment of a grin crossed his lips. Altmer. Montyard never trusted them after what had happened in Cyrodiil. Even so, he did not voice any opinion, only let Niklaus sow discord that would only make it harder for Everard, “We would accept this Representative.” Niklaus smiled. Unbeknownst to Montyard, Niklause knew of the dangers, and no better spymaster than those of Ferrand could protect his realm and greater High Rock from threats. Everard shifted all the same, not liking the implications and eyeing the Tigress up and down with hungry eyes from behind his visor. Never had a Khajiit before.

“ Very well , High King Jartod and General Olaf will be in touch “ said Balgruuf . He wrote on the paper in a fine cursive writing, telling what High Rock stated to him.

Yagurz inspected the emissary from High Rock. He was highly distrustful of him...as a matter of a fact, he truly didn’t trust anyone at this table. Most of these races had, at some point, viewed the Orcs as less-than-human or less-than-mer, such as the case may be...but the Bretons were directing an offer to him? He was more than a tad bit intrigued. The Orcs and Bretons had traditionally warred over lands claimed by the both of them. He gulped and looked to Niklaus, more than a bit disturbed by this idea, “Although I represent Burkash, I am going to speak to you in an...unofficial capacity. As much as I am tempted by the thought of allying with you, that is my own personal sentiment. Old wounds still fester amongst my people, much to my chagrin. Though your kings may be gone, they sentimentality of hatred amongst my own people still remains. I can promise you nothing, however, what I can say is this: I will speak with Burkash, and see what can be done. I cannot promise anything further than that.” Yagurz was being sincere in those moments.

“This humble ambassador appreciates the fact that we share the same sentiments towards peace between our two kinds. Any step towards ensured peace is a stride in eradicating old blood between our two peoples.” Niklaus nodded.

The old Orc reciprocated Niklaus’ nod, looking around the table. He was wary of them, but he decided to open up his table, “If any other representatives of the provinces wish to present their offers, do it now. I promise nothing but a chance for some degree of contact with Orsinium.”

Aelid would speak, never willing to give up a chance to further strengthen his trade and position. Turning to the Orc that the Breton was speaking to, he looked him up and down. “You're as big as a Nord, friend. More importantly than that, though, you have the blood of Mer in you, which is all I would care for. If the Bretons would allow it, I would have trade with you through High Rock. The same ports that bring Breton goods will bring Orcish ones as well. Furthermore, I’m sure you may have noticed I am not near as hulking a figure as you. The Altmer are more lithe and graceful, but I’m afraid the horrors of war demand large frenzied beasts of mer. I would offer you Altmer Battle-Mages in return for Orcish Berserkers: A military trade of sorts.”

After seeing the majority of the representatives speak their minds, Ildoryn felt that it was time for him to speak about Morrowind's opinion on the matters at hand. "Our past would dictate me to decline the Argonians offer, even if it would profit both our province. But under the leadership of Oravos the Nerevarine, we have grown past the hatred, and are looking forward to a future of peace with your people. If it’s trading the people of Argonia wants, then our borders would gladly open for them." says Ildoryn before raising a glass to Rules-With-Claws.

It was a bitter pill to swallow, hearing that the Dunmer thought they had the right to be offended by past events. It was not their people who were raped of culture and stripped of freedom for nearly two eras. “If you are truly sincere in your efforts to heal the past wounds, then this summit has been a success indeed. The Argonians would be willing to trade through proxy with the Dark Elves.”

"As for the offer of Skyrim, we would gladly trade and form a military alliance with your people. Your kin didn't hesitate to help Morrowind in our time of need, and we honor that act. Your people have our support; you need only to ask of it." Ildoryn knew he wasn't in the position to proclaim such a thing, but it was already a matter that Oravos would have dealt with sooner or later, it was just a matter of time.

"For the others that have attended this meeting, Morrowind would like to extend the opportunities waiting to be exploited on our land." With a snap of his hand, the guard beside Ildoryn lifted a small case, opened it, and passed it around to the representative by the table. "Our land is known to have been plagued by the dangers of the Red Mountain in the past, but with recent events the dangers have been lifted, and our industry further moved into mining the riches of the volcano. Please, take one as a gift from Morrowind." Inside the cases were heavily detailed Ebony rings, complemented by an Amber crystal in the middle. Upon further examination, one can sense no trace of enchantments from it.

"You'll find metals old and new offered in Morrowind, Guar hides stronger than any known leather, and weapons crafted with techniques brought from Akavir. All of these we offer for those who are willing to accept Dunmer goods to their province." says Ildoryn before seating again, wondering if any of the representatives would react.

Balgruuf examined the ring, looking it in all angles. He handed it to one of his advisors. “ Consider the Military agreement settled, Jartod would love to hear this” said Balgruuf, smiling. “ As for the Orcs and the Bretons , it seems pretty delicate matter in my opinion, I recommend you maybe hold a smaller meeting between your two nations alone? “ purposed Balgruuf. “ Lastly, the High Elf Representative, the Thalmor Embassy in Solitude remains empty, if we want to heal old wounds, I recommend you fill it, however you’ll only have half of the space, the other half is for the Dunmer,

Yagurz could hardly contain his surprise, the Altmer? Offering him Battlemages?! He was more than a tad bit pleased. The Empire had almost given his people a land to call home, but the Dominion? They were giving him something that no other individual could give his people. They were giving them a greater degree of power. Yagurz looked to Aelid, “We must speak more upon this in private. Though, as Burkash’s representative, I accept your offer readily. Despite disagreements in the past, we cannot pass up such an offer.” Yagurz knew he was playing a dangerous game letting in the Altmer. However, he understood that the degree of risk was far outweighed by the potential gains that Orsinium could get through utilizing a Dominion Battlemage Group.

As Balgruuf spoke of the High Elf offer, Aelid was pleased at first to hear that they would be allowed at least a minor presence in Skyrim. Yet Balgruuf continued.
“However you’ll only have half of the space, the other half is-” The High Justicar interjected haughtily.

“We will NOT share our Embassy with Non-Mer!”

“-for the Dunmer.”

If it was possible, color flushed the cheeks of Aldra and they wer even more a golden hue than before. she nodded embarrassed and Aelid cleared his throat, asking for forgiveness of his entourage.

“Very well, I am sure the Thalmor would be honored to share the Embassy with our relatives, the Dunmer.” Aelid then turned to the Orc, and eyed him suspiciously. The orc seemed very excited to get Altmer Battle-Mages, as he should. They were the best at what they did in all of Nirn, at least in Aelid’s eyes. He knew that the Altmer couldn’t afford to lose many Battle-Mages if not buying something worthy. The High King of the Dominion decided to press his luck.

“My only fear is that these Orcish Berserkers won’t live up to the expectations of my Battle-Mages. You knew they have a average kill rate of twelve soldiers before they are slain? If you would put my silly inhibitions to rest, perhaps you would prove the ferocity of your Orcs to me in some kind of test of skill, before the trade in troops?”

“If I may add , Orcish Berserks tend to be good frontline troops, I’ve seen some in battle for myself “ the Young advisor beside Balgruuf said, before placing his head down in a few documents.

Yagurz eyed the lot of them. He was excited to have the opportunity to have Battle-Mages...however, he was less-than-excited about the possibilities of what havoc their guests could bring. The Thalmor had a...tendency to change things drastically. Yagurz nodded and seemed to concede a tad, “By all means, come to Orsinium, or send a representative. It would be a non-issue for them to be proven in battle.”

Aelid smiled and turned to his entourage, in a ‘I-told-you-so’ fashion, before turning back to the Orc. “Fantastic! I’ll send a Representative after the Summit, and after he sends a report detailing the ferocity of your Orcs, which I’m sure he will, I will then authorize the trade in soldiers. I think this is the beginning of a fruitful partnership with Orsinium, if I do say so myself.”

Yagurz nodded and practically shouted in excitement, “Fantastic! Come to me and work out the details after the summit has ended.” Yagurz then leaned over and covered his mouth. He was most certainly smiling. If the Altmer wanted to see ferocity, he and Burkash would give them it. These pompous bastards needed to be shown their place. They weren’t the only ones who could play the treachery game.

Ildoryn remained silent while listening to the Altmer and Orsimer converse. He was too occupied by emptying the cup he had, which he found to be somehow satisfying than what he was hearing. Attracting his gaze on the other side of the table was S'arah, the Ka Po Tun that infiltrated the summit. His experience in Akavir tells him something was off from the representative of the Khajiit, but he just can't put it into a concrete thought. Ildoryn just stood up and replied accordingly with what Balgruuf said, dismissing what he had thought about S'arah. "We are honored to share the embassy with our distant relatives; this act would effectively bring us closer with your people, and hopefully, with the Altmers as well."

“Sit, Dunmer . We must discuss the basic trade offerings, what does Morrowind have to offer Skyrim?” asked Balgruuf

“As we both know, the environment in Skyrim isn’t fit for most crops to grow on. Our lands south of Vvardenfell is known to produce Saltrice, Kwarma Eggs, Ashyam, and Wheat, all of which we are willing to offer to your people. Thats not all, Guars and Kagoutis are also bred in our southern plains, which I’m sure your people will find useful for leather, or as sturdy mounts. They’ve proved their resilience in traversing our cragged ashlands, so I’m sure they’ll do well in your region.” says Ildoryn in response. “If your people require raw materials, whether it be Iron, Silver, Gold, or Ebony, our people will provide them.”

“The Representative of Daggerfall and High-Rock-In-Union would like to offer trade in ebony (and now to think of what to give in return...)”

“The Argonian would trade ores of Iron, Gold and Ebony with Morrowind. Our precious gems and your precious ores would provide a generation of jewellers and blacksmiths with work on both sides of our borders.”

“Guars would be of use to us , about your ores however, our smelters in Markarth would greatly take your ore and turn it into bars, we could sell them to other nations and give you sixty percent of the profit, if that is fine with you?” purposed Balgruuf, taking another sip from the mead

“Morrowind accepts your offer. We’ll immediately inform the traders and mining companies of this agreement once the summit is over, to ensure no delays in our trade.” Ildoryn replies while emptying his cup again, this time without reservations.

“Once the first shipment of ore has arrived into Skyrim Borders, my men will take it, Guars on the other hand can wait until we have talked with our economic advisor in Skyrim, never the less.. Besides your sixty percent, are you interested in any ores?” asked Balgruuf

“If Skyrim can supply us with Dwemeric metal scraps of sorts, it would be very much appreciated, if not, Orichalcum would be an ore of interest to us.” Morrowind’s representative replies, inciting the attention of the representatives in the room about Morrowind’s interest with Dwemeric metal.

“Dwemer… we have a lot of it , mostly scraps that are unused , Orichalium we also have in Skyrim, but some of it I may ask our friend from Orsinium to lend to us, and for Skyrim to refine, we’ll sort out the details later.

Happy with the direction that conversations were being taken: the Argonian stood again, letting his stature say all that would be required. When words were quietened, he spoke again. “If I may be frank, the success of this summit is surprising me greatly. The Argonians would gladly trade with the Orcs, Bretons, Dunmer and Nords once the new port city is built. To the Altmer and the Bretons, we are currently inclined to agree to your offers of assistance with this endeavour.”

“And yet, there is still the word of the Redguard and the Imperials that is unheeded. Surely the Redguards are the only people with the sea craft to match the Bretons and the Altmer that is yet to speak. What say you on the matter? And to you, Imperials: will you say nothing as the Altmer and their Thalmor offer more promises than your kingdoms? Your people have fought a bloody war for nearly two hundred years, a war that you have been losing for nearly two-hundred years. Would your silence indicate a desire to end the suffering of two nations and beyond?”

The Councillor cleared his throat “In the past five years, the Aldmeri Dominion has gone from being the dominant force to being reduced to just Alinor, through a string of humiliating military defeats in Elsweyr and Valenwood. Apparently, the idea of Elven supremacy is not only more resilient despite their dominion taking less than five years to be stomped into the ground by the Empire and its allies, but garners respect among the rest of you, who seem willing to support such an ideal. Should I point out that for those two hundred years, we were protecting you all? Save the Dark Elves, all of you would have been down trodden under the Thalmor, and indeed some of you ended up seeing it first hand regardless of our best efforts. Bretons? Filfthy half breeds. Nords? Stupid iceheads worshipping false gods. Argonians? Lizards unworthy of becoming boots. Orcs? As low as the beast races. This is what the Aldmeri Dominion thinks of you, what they have proven to think of you. While good men of the Empire, and indeed some of your own people, die fighting in the legions for your own protection, you’re willing to fill the Thalmor’s purse with coin, that it might spend it on spilling the blood of us all, even their own. And what if they succeeded in truly casting down the Empire? If they ever become that power that they may sack the Imperial City again, that the people of the Empire are broken before their feet… then your nations will suffer. Your people will be enslaved, your lands flattened by the Dominon’s boot, your cities razed. Genocide, banning of your gods, enslavement… and yet you are willing to pay them. All of our ancestors must weep, if the dead weep.” The Councillor said, shaking his head “Do we wish to end this war? Certainly, we have come so very close. Before any of you jump into bed with the Thalmor, let me fill you all in for the uninformed. Their navy is in tatters, what vessels the Empire hasn’t taken from them the Redgaurds have sent to the depths. Their forces are in full retreat from mainland Tamriel, our prisons fill with the prisoners of this war. Valenwood has declared itself independent of them and in accordance with the wishes of Valenwood, an alliance of Legion and Bosmer have cast them out. You try to get trade with them, not realising they have no ships to send it to you with, no supply lines that won’t end up blocked by the upcoming invasion, since it appears they are too bitter to negotiate for any form of peace treaty. I suppose Orismer is going to receive the Battlemages by air?” The Councillor turned to the Orc, Yagurz “The truth is they want your warriors to die in their place, your berserkers to die fighting our legions, throwing their lives away because of a deal with a regime that will oppress your people the first chance they get. I beg of you, don’t allow them to throw the lives of your people away in their own place. They care nothing for your beliefs, your culture, your people, your honour. They would spit on it, if they weren’t desperate for your support. Know that they are desperate for your support, and they will whisper honeyed words in your ear. But the Orcs have long since seen through such veils. Let this not be the day the Orcs sight grows dim. Let it not be this or any day, that the Orcs will fall for the snake oil salesman that is the Aldmeri Dominion.” He turned his head to Balgruuf “And Jarl Balgruuf. You have a reputation that precedes you, the Emperor himself speaks highly of your many skills and traits. You do what is right for your people. Skyrim is a proud and strong province, and I am sure I speak for everyone in the Empire when I say the White-Gold concordat was a mistake and an insult to you, and that you were and are right to hate us for it. But do not forget who imposed this Concordat upon both of us. The Aldmeri Dominion, it is they who are pulling the puppet strings here, they realise they have lost the war against the Empire and so they have turned to trickery in the hopes of setting Skyrim and Cyrodiil on each other. I beg you look back on history, as we all have in the Elder Council. We know who it was who had stood by the Empire in its first days, where Tiber Septim himself hailed from… and we were ashamed of ourselves when we watched Mede sign the concordat, and let the Aldmeri piss on hundreds of years of Skyrim-Cyrodiil cooperation. Asking you back into our fold now it too far gone, you are a proud and independent people now and have proved everyone who thought Skyrim wouldn’t make it wrong. So remain proud and independent, don’t allow the Aldmeri Dominion, who are responsible for the Great War, indirectly the Civil War and most of the bad blood between us, to influence your people and turn them against themselves. If you will not help finally finish off this xenophobic Aldmeri Dominion, then that is fine but by the Nine, don’t allow them to prop themselves up on you and grind their boots a little further into us all. You have always done what is right for your people, don’t start risking their futures now” He turned his head to High Rocks representatives, but merely turned away again quickly. He knew the results of the Emperors summit, whatever the Bretons were gambling with, he knew that they were loyal to the Empire and would have their own reasons for this. He turned to the Argonians “There are other points I could make, but just from that you can see my case. I hate not Summerset Isle, I hate not the High Elves, as there are some in the Elder Council, I hate not the Mer, but I hate the Aldmeri Dominion. I hate the way it looks down on the other races of Tamriel. I hate the way it sizes us all up, and tricks us into fighting each other. But there is something I hate more than them. Most of all I hate how Tamriel is just willing to lie down and take it. Summerset isle could easily become a friend and ally of us all, we all accept and want that. What I’m sure none of us want is a Supremacist Ally with chronic backstabbing disorder. Thank you” The Councillor sat back down, shaking his head slowly.

“If I may interject, Representative of Imperials...” Rules-With-Claws was the first to break the tirade of the Empire’s man. He didn’t rise from his seat, far too calm for that. “You assume much of me. I have made deals today with the King of the Altmer, not his dominion. I have made offers on a table of peace, and do so in an attempt to advance the wellbeing of my people. All you have done is spread old hatred. Hatred that Black Marsh has nothing to do with.”

He rose from his seat, draining the last of the cup in one great sip as the long, regal cloak flowed behind him. “The Altmer spout supremacy, the Thalmor would have it force upon us, but it is your people, and the people of Morrowind who once had mine in shackles. It is under your empire that Slavery has been re-established by the Dunmer. Do not presume yourself so free of our suspicions. This is a place of peace, so make words of trade, not ones of slander.”

“I do not deny; there have been mistakes in our Empire. But I cannot simply brush off the threat of the Aldmeri Dominions hate. You mention slavery. Who has a richer history of Slavery than the Elves? Tiber Septim, was the one to instate that under a treaty with Morrowind, not any of our more recent Emperors. I understand your concern, and trust me we want nothing more than peace. Unfortunately, our peace has been rejected. It was an unfair peace, the Legate is not a man known for fairness, I shall concede that, but the subsequent calls to a table for a meeting between the two nations for a peace treaty that was fair and just, and not version two of the White Gold Concordat, has been completely ignored by the Elven Lord Regent. If you wish, it is he who has slandered us. In fact, he directly did so in his letter to the Legate. What I have done here is stated the risks and facts or recent history. We are all in danger if the Thalmor get their way and crush the wills of any of the so called ‘Lesser Races’, you can’t possibly think that they won’t try it if they are able to brush aside the legion and its supporters. That is why a proper peace treaty is in order, and not a simple argument.”

“Tiber Septim is often declared your greatest hero. My people were pushed into the darkest corners of the Black Marsh by his calls for an empire. Do not hide behind the past as an excuse, for the past is what you accuse the Altmer with.”

“The past is not what I am hiding behind but asserting. Look, if we are going to do it this way, not a single one of us in this room can be trusted and we all know that, we are here to make some kind of agreement, whatever it may be, or rather many kinds, and hope they are all honoured. Tiber Septim was a great man, but being ‘great’ doesn’t imply that one’s actions were good or right. Neither does his declaration as a Divine ever support that what he did was right. He ascended to a throne upon a river of blood and a pile of corpses, we all know that. But what he did was bring hundreds of years of peace. Whether that was a worthwhile trade-off is for us to decide individually, not to be used in order to devalue the facts of now. And now, the Thalmor is a threat because they won’t make peace, they instead want to crush us so they can get to everyone else. At the time being, the Redguards and Empire are too big a threat for them to attack you all, as we now sit on their borders. But if these two blockers were removed… the results could be a very different world, and for all the bad, an even worse one.”

“The only Septim worthy of speaking about in Black Marsh was named Martin. And the only High Elves I am dealing with is the Altmer king. If you do not wish to offer terms, then we shall move on to hear what the Redguards have to say.”

“By dealing with the High Elven King you are dealing directly with the Aldmeri Dominion, he rules it after all, no one can dispute that point, seeing a how he is the High Elven King. I will offer terms, once the Altmer show they are willing to accept calls for any form of peace, or whether if I offer terms I’m going to be blown off like the Legate. We can actually come to very reasonable terms… but I don’t think they are going to listen. As you say, we have been at war nearly 200 years, on and off. That is a long time for us all, even the High Elves have to say a 200 year long war is troublesome news. Tamriel is shattered, and I understand we are here to make agreements and end all our conflicts. I have terms for the High Elves, but I have to ask that their king will listen. If he is anything like the Regent he left in charge, then we might as well call this done now.”

“ENOUGH!” Rules-With-Claw slams the goblet in his hand against the stone table, watching the metal shatter under the blow. Trickles of blood drop onto the table as shards of metal cut flesh.”We shall all take a break. Then, we shall return to the matter at hand: Argonian matters, not the matters between the Empire and the Altmer, which have been raging for two-hundred years.”

“Your lands are directly affected by these matters, the outcome of this war will affect everyone in Tamriel, peace is a viable alternative but at the time we are yelling at each other across a table instead of working for it. The more I stand here shouting, the more I feel like the men fighting in the South, where we are reaching nothing and NEVER WILL.”

“The more you stand here shouting, the more you embarrass yourself and the empire.”

“I’m not here to save face, I’m here to end a 200 year old war, it seems we have the exact same agenda, peace on Tamriel, so why are we arguing?”

“Councillor, we shall stop now, before we embarrass either of our nations further. An hours reprieve will do us all good. I do not want this summit to devolve into slander.” The Argonian lord stands up, turning his back to the representatives. “We will meet here in an hour. Your time is your own.” With that, the Gigantic Argonian walks to the exit, flexing the bloody fingers of his right hand. The aches of the past burdened on him more than he admitted. Perhaps he was more prideful than he thought.

Balgruuf watched the banter, tapping his finger on the table. “ This is the same empire that is now complimenting me, that left Skyrim for dead?” asked Balgruuf. “ The Sons of Skyrim , died all because of your foolish, and your goal to save your own dynasty of emperors” began Balgruuf. “ Banning Talos hurt the Nords but assisting with Thalmor operations? No offense to our high elf “friend” but you let them march into the courts of Skyrim, into the guilds of Skyrim , into the society of Skyrim like they were some sort of king or queen!” exclaimed Balgruuf. “ We defeated the Elves when you left us for dead, what do you bring to the table now , Skyrim and other nations can defend themselves so what does the Imperial Banner mean today for Tamriel? “ asked Balgruuf, looking to the Imperial representative “ To win back the trust of the Nords you must have a good offer I presume , because the Nords agree that the Imperial's are a bunch of back stabbing menaces who just wanted to protect their own bloodlines!” exclaimed Balgruuf , getting angry as he took a hearty sip from the Mead.

Ildoryn was more than displeased with the Imperial's acts, he was disgusted. To resort to cheap acts like insults, the Empire's image just got a whole lot uglier in his eyes. "Before the Empire throws any insults to the people of Morrowind, I'd like to excuse myself back to my chambers." Ildoryn stands from his seat, making the guards beside him stand in attention. "I hope by the time this meeting reconvenes, the Empire would learn how leash their tongues." says Ildoryn while stressing on the last word before leaving the room.

New Vivec, Morrowind

The Ordinators sent to Cheydinhal arrived at the capital while riding Guars, and was greeted by the citizens with curiosity. Their armors were battered, but their morale was higher than ever, they managed to defeat the "cultists" attacking Cheydinhal, but little did they know it was all staged by the king himself. Not for long, the Ordinators reported to their superiors and was rewarded handsomely for doing an act of honor. The people grieved for those Dunmer affected by the incident, then later celebrated in honor of the Ordinator's successful efforts. While all of the capital celebrated, one masked Dunmer went out of the city, and headed to Balmora.
Arvyn Sarandras

Arvyn says the Morag Tong agent who reported about the victory of the Ordinators. "Yes sera.. if I may ask though, why does our men have to die for th-" The agent's question was cut short when Arvyn replied bluntly. "Sacrifices has to be made young one, peace is never brought without dirtying our hands with our own blood." The agent bowed his head in shame upon receiving his superior's reply. "Now go, and bring these scrolls along with you, they'll be useful when the time comes." The agent leaves the room, leaving Arvyn to alone in his chambers.

Calarin
After giving Ab'Farahan the good news, before he set off to the Black Marsh Summit, Ta'fel returned to the village of Calarin, which had shockingly fortified itself extremely, in the short time Ta'fel was gone. The walls had extra stone added and were very thick, and balistas and other defensive equipment were made and placed on the walls. The blacksmith and his apprentice had made a quick batch of Iron armour and weapons which most ablebodied men were equipped with now, However, because they were made so quickly they were not as strong as they could've been, but the blacksmith said that whenever it was safe enough and he had the chance he will try and reinforce a few sets of armour at a time. The equipped men were either walking on the walls or practicing their skills. Although it was a small village the population was rather big and because it was surrounded by hills it was easier to defend. Ta'fel walked towards the centre of the village and announced "Alright men, listen up! We are about to attack Corinthe. Ta'fel has brought even more men and siege equipment to help us out. Ta'fel needs at least a hundred of you to come with us. Who's ready to give the southerners what they're asking for?"
The men roared and just like Ta'fel wanted, atleast a hundred men came to help out, including J'Dato. "Excellent!" Ta'fel praised "Men! Get rest! Tomorrow, We take back Corinthe!"
Again, the crowd roared.

Outside of Corinthe, the following morning
Ta'fel and his small army observed the city of Corinthe. "Hmm..." Ta'fel said while observing a weak spot of Corinthe's walls, "Catapults! On the Eastern wall! Do you see it! The wall is damaged! Strike there on Ta'fel's command! And after the wall is open, Ta'fel only wants you to attack the walls afterwards if you deem it necesarry. Do you understand? We need to keep the city together so we don't have to repair more after it is conquered. And men, only attack those who are equipped with weapons and are attacking you. We don't want to kill innocents."
"Yes sir!" The army replied, acknowledging Ta'fel's commands.
"Good..." Ta'fel waited a few minutes and then...
"STRIKE THE WALL!" Ta'fel yelled while him and the majority of men charged towards the city, the others stayed behind to protect the siege equipment. As Ta'fel and his men charged towards the city, volleys of arrows were landing around them and hitting some of the men, but as they reached the city, the wall had opened up and they charged in striking down hostile threats.

In Corinthe, Late afternoon/Early evening
Many men on both sides died that day, but it finally ended when Ta'fel, who even though he had injured one of his arms, he still fought with ferocity because of his vendetta against the mayor, and J'Dato slayed the Mayor in charge of Corinthe. Almost all of the Southern men dropped their weapons and stood down, the ones who didn't and continued fighting were slain. The southern soldier were thrown into the prisons below Corinthe. Ta'fel and J'Dato sat down in the main hall of the keep. "J'Dato" Ta'fel started "You did well in the battle. You're a natural fighter."
"Hmm... Thank you." J'Dato replied.
"Will you return to Calarin?"
"J'Dato would think so unless you have other plans."
"Well, we need someone to manage Calarin, Ta'fel thinks you'd be the man for now."
"Well, I accept your offer..." He didn't finish his scentance, instead he stood up and ran towards a woman he saw. "Rabinna! Rabinna!" He yelled.
"J'Dato?" The woman replied shocked that they had met again.
"Rabinna." He said
"But, J'dato though she was the only one who survived that dreadful night at Takar!"
"And so did J'Dato!"
"Do you mind telling Ta'fel who this is?" Asked Ta'fel.
"This is J'Dato friend, Rabbina." Replied J'Dato "It seems she survived the Takar attack aswell."
"Rabbina cannot believe she is not the only one who survived!" Rabbina exclaimed.
"Well, Ta'fel is glad you could meet again, but Ta'fel has to go."
"We understand. Goodbye Ta'fel until we meet again."
"Goodbye." Ta'fel finished as he and some of the men wandered of back to Calarin, while others stayed to protect Corinthe.

Ta'fel never told men about his injured arm, as he fought it was embarrassing to admit he had been captured, and it could also lower his men's morale.

The Lord Regent of The Summer Isles; Orthos
23rd of Midyear
Alinor, Capital of the Dominion.

“How many ships?” Asked Orthos, sitting upon the Summer Throne. It had been a strenuous couple of days, especially after the reveal of the Elder Scroll and the information within the Aldmer Tablet. He hoped that Aelid returned soon, as there was much he was ignorant of. Yet still, Orthos knew that Aelid was needed at this Summit to construct Alliances if there people would survive long-term.

“We’ve constructed roughly thirty, Lord Regent. Nearly enough to replace what we lost in Valenwood when they captured the port.” The Merchant said with bowed head, yet with a hint of a smile. He seemed proud of his work, and he should be. Aelid would surely be pleased to report back from the summit to such advances and repairs.
“Good, you are dismissed.” Orthos said distractedly, watching as the Arch-Mage of the college arrived inside the Palace with several Mages. The Merchant saw and scowled, before bowing and taking his leave. The Arch-Mage approached the Throne, bowed, and smiled. He spoke.

“This is a troubling and wondrous time of Great Change, Lord Regent. Yet I fear the Arcane Society has much more to develop before the end. Yet we need guidance and advisors, as do you and the High King. With your permission, I would send three of my top Mages to Artaeum to find the Psijic Order. They have long been true friends to the Altmer, and I fear we need their expertise. Though the Island is gone, it left residual arcane traces. We would find it soon enough.”

“So be it.” Said Orthos, nodding to the Arch-Mage.

Coast of Senchal, Elsweyr

A single ship bobbed in the midnight black waves off the coast of the homeland of the Khajiit. The moon was high in the sky this night, and almost glowed in the sky with light. The city-port of Senchal had many candles and fires burning on its docks, and the small number of people aboard the ship waited eagerly. One of the largest, apparently the Captain, would round up his companions on the deck, and speak with them.

“Alright lads, tomorrow is the big day. We were sent here for one very specific purpose, and we will complete our task, regardless the cost. If our efforts come to fruition, perhaps we may even get rewarded for this! Tomorrow is a important day not only in our lives, but in the lives of our people!”

The small crew cheered as one, and then slowly dispersed after the speech. Many of them went to bed, drank, or even just sat on the ship, staring at the illuminated city on the horizon.

Actions:
-Valenwood Fleet is officially reconstructed!
-Arcane Society sent Emissary’s to the Psijic Order!
-Strike Force placed outside Elsweyr?

Elsweyr

It seemed the war had begun, despite his best efforts to make a peaceful solution. That was it then. The Governor militant raised from the reports on the desk and turned, proceeding to the armour to retrieve his armour. It was time for the 'militant' part to come into play. He sent out orders for the forces to be readied. He had to take a war to the south now... a shame. He would see if he could pacify the resistance with as little damage and death as possible. He'd learnt from reading about Skyrims civil war, they had to try and get the population on their side as they did fight.

Valenwood Near Falinesti
17th of Midyear, 4E 205

The small war party sent by Temijen to find the so called Keeper of the Bosmer were an assorted group of hired redguard adventurers and a few locally hired guides. Despite the presence of natives to the region, the party was more than happy at sticking to the wider larger Imperial paved roads stretching throughout the woods. It did not take long before they encountered a small group of bosmer who quickly issued a challenge. "What business do you have here?"

The leader of the party stepped forward rising his hands in a none threatening manner. "My name is yaban Glagel, leader of this war party, we seek no hostility with your people, but Vanquisher Temijen, the one king of Hammerfall seeks an audience with your keeper." He removed a rolled up scroll from his cloak and handed it to the bosmer. "This scrolls offers directions to an arranged meeting place of Temijen's choosing."

The scroll;

Dear Keeper of the Bosmer,
It has come to my attention that you have thrown off the shackles of your older cousins the Altmer. Indeed this is good news; however, I fear we must address the issue of past wars between our people when Valenwood was a part of the fading Dominion. Know that I hope we can come to an agreement and overcome the past sins of your actions against my people and home.

With honor, Vanquisher Temijen.

the leader of the small group took the letter and nodded and he told his group to watch the war party in case they tried to follow him and he quickly jumped through the trees to get to me in the center of the forest.

once my brother came back he gave me the message and I read through it sighing loudly once I finished reading it afraid that this day would come eventually, I had only hoped it wouldn't happen when we had just gotten the altmer out of our forest, but the king apparently wants me to see him near the coast where their isn't very much forest covering and I could only assume this would be so they could capture or ambush me their since my brothers would be forced to the ground and would be no more valuable then any normal archer would. so he put on his fur armor knowing something might go down as he instead wrote a letter back saying=

I will agree to the meeting however I ask that we not meet at the coast and instead meet in the northern forest where I know your ships are at the coast nearby. I will come with 5 of my brothers and you may do the same I will honor my end if you follow those requests to only bring 5 men and to meet in the northern forest otherwise I will not see you without the legate and his men along side me.
keeper of the bosmer

once I written the note my brother went back and delivered my response to the war party saying to honor those requests before they meet

Castle Moonhall, Stormhold, Black Marsh
22nd of Midyear, 4E 205
Rules-With-Claw and the Various representatives of Tamriel
Of all the representatives to arrive in the meeting hall of Castle Moonhold, it was the Argonians who returned from the break latest. Rules-With-Claw arrived in the room much as he arrived the first time, only he was without the long cloak that had made a trail behind him last time. Instead, his ebony armour was given full display, including the strange etchings and engravings on the armour which, combined with numerous blemishes and battlescars, told uncountable stories.

Accompanying the lord of the Argonians was the Argonain that had met each representative: Stalks-the-Stars. While not as tall as his father, he was still cut of the same impressive colouration that made him a creature of regal appearance. He seemed to have a calming effect on the colossal Argonian, which begged the question: how?

Rules-With-Claw sat down and looked around the room, smiling. “Greetings, representatives. Let us commence our negotiations.”

By the time the Councillor had returned from the break, he appeared to have a somewhat embarrassed appearance on his face… and was under a stern gaze from the count. Both had been berated rather severely by an unexpected source in their own party as well. The Councillor cleared his throat before speaking “I would first like to apologise for my outburst. The truth is my carriage got lost on the way here and I set out long before the count. Days lost in Black Marsh can make one irritable, but that is no excuse for my lack of composure.” He said, before turning his head to Balgruuf “It pained me to watch the Thalmor march into Skyrim, just as it pained me to watch them walk into Cyrodiil like they owned the place. Everyone suffered because of the great war and it’s consequences. I won’t comment on the civil war, but I will agree that it was a waste of life and resources. I cannot make an offer that wins hearts and minds, I work magic not miracles, but I promise the sins of the past will be corrected in time. Whether you will forgive us is your own business, Jarl Balgruuf, but I hope in time you might. I propose that Skyrim and Cyrodiil reopen attempts at negotiation, that trade might begin again between our people and that slowly we may learn to drop our grudges, that we might learn to overcome the horrors of the civil war and that we will be able to ensure there is a lasting peace.”

“A recent talk has placed it all in perspective for me, as I trust it will the others of the Empire. Our abandonment of Skyrim was treasonous, on the level of our abandonment of Hammerfell. Our goal should be to reestablish good relations with our neighbours. That’s what the Empire was always supposed to be about, cooperation. Instead it has become a race to the bottom, fueled by, as you say, backstabbing, and political rivalries. These times have been turbulent for us all, the Empire has, rightly, been landed with a lot of the blame for failing to do what it had sworn to do. Countless Emperors who did not uphold the true meaning of the Empire. That’s why we have failed… and that’s why we have to change for the better. Our apologies will mean nothing to you, I know that, actions speak louder than words. So give us time, and we’ll prove that we will fix the political failings of the last Dynasty, and in it’s place we will work towards peaceful coexistence with our neighbours. I watched as the Emperor took oath, and now I will make a similar one to you. This dynasty will be different, the Empire will change for the better, the light at the end of the dark tunnel that is the events of the past two hundred years”

“You ask what the Imperial Banner represents now that the nations of Tamriel can defend themselves. Whether the nations were able to defend themselves was not in question. The Imperial Banner stands for more than just military might. It stands for unity, cooperation and integrity. In the past era we have watched as this banner was soiled by traitors, who would kill our brothers and split up the Empire for their own gains, I do not dispute that that was the case. Therefore we must purify the banner, the banner which has gone from meaning benevolence to oppression, from friendship to hatred. This banner will once again stand for Unity, Peace, Fraternity and Integrity. When the young boy looks to the banner, no more shall he fear and call it a flag of oppression, instead he will see hope, the hope of a brighter day in the future. I won’t lie, it will be a long, hard struggle for the people of the Empire to recreate their image in your eyes and in the eyes of even their own. But we shall achieve it, because as long as somebody out there believes in these values, the chance of a new age for Tamriel is still there, however slight. The chances of surviving the Dragons return was slight, the chances of surviving the oblivion crisis was slight… Tamriel has time and time again proven that it will overcome the odds and endure, and that’s why I think a dream of unity, friendship and equality shall also endure and one day become a truth once again.”

“I admit our mistakes as I hope everyone admits their own, but there’s no need for our mistakes to stretch out over decades, centuries even. We can settle our differences in a proper manner. Taking, for example, perhaps the most glaring; the great war is a terrible reminder of the failings of the Empire and while we must remember it’s lessons, we mustn’t be afraid to face the issues that created that war in the first place. That’s why I now offer a revised peace treaty to King Aelid before this conflict can escalate any further, a peace treaty which I believe he will find much fairer than my colleague in Valenwood offered. The only term I shall attempt to force upon the Thalmor and enforce within the Empire is that both sides release their prisoners of war as part of the agreement, and that the affected regions be granted a right to self determination.”

“The Empire’s decadence is slowly coming to an end, and from it’s ashes it will rebuild itself. It will erect it’s pillars once more and arise once again in the form it was truly meant to be, not this deprived form we have seen in the past two centuries, but a proper Empire, one that is built upon values and not upon greed and evil. The Empire has learnt from it’s mistakes, and we shall not repeat them. If what I tell to you now is a lie, and that the Empire will slip back into depravity, then may the divines have mercy on my soul for neither I nor the peoples of Tamriel will.”

The two Argonians at the head of the table looked at each other, following the speech of the Imperial representative. There was a moment of recognition before eventually, Rules-With-Claw nodded. “Your apology and your spirit are welcome here, Councillor. We shall move on to the politics now, as opposed to insults.”

Ab’Farahn entered the room. “Ab’Farahn apologizes for his late arrival” He started “He was dealing with the Southern threat. Soon, Cornithe will be ours, and we will be one step closer to restoring peace to the land. However, we are still no closer to finding the Mane...”
“So, what has Ab’Farahn missed?” He asked.

Although Rules-With-Claw was interested in the Khajiit arrival, it was Stalks-The-Stars who spoke. “I will admit, Ad’Farahn, we did not expect you to arrive at all. The summit has focused on building trade relations between nations and forming new alliances, between old enemies and with new political pieces on the board. I ask that you play an observer role, for the time being: Eleswyr has no true leader, and I am unsure which side of the conflict is worthy of support.”

“That reminds me, before we began, talking about Imperial Nord-Relations, where are our wood elfs friends? “ asked one of the advisors.

Aelid raised an eyebrow as the representative of the Empire spoke, and nodded in affirmation at the idea of a prisoner exchange. He looked to the Nord, who wondered as to where the Bosmer may be.

“Unfortunately, I didn’t think the Bosmer or Khajjit would show up, considering the state their regions are in. It is good to see at least one was able to make it though.” The Altmer nodded to Ab’Farahn and then turned back to the Imperial, ready to reply.

“The Aldmeri Dominion would come to peace with the Empire and indeed agree to a prisoner exchange, granted that the Emperor swears an Oath not to continue this tireless work against my people. I will grant you this, Man. My Father may have committed atrocities, yet all I have attempted to do with my rule is bring Elves into a Confederation of Elves. I have done nothing but attempt to ally with my brothers and create trade routes and economic gains. If you are fearful for the Unification of Elves, that speaks more of your own insecurity than of any nefarious plot you would think I hide.

The Dominion wishes not war with Men, but to prove to them once and for all through Intellectual, Industrial, Economic, and Political means that Elves are simply the wiser choice.”

“The Bosmer have not attended for various reasons, and I would assume a major one is the state of their region. Another might be they seem to be politically apathetic for the rest of Tamriel, and reluctant to get involved.” The Count said, and the Councillor began to speak

“I am not fearful of a unification of Elves, but unifying Elves and splitting Tamriel between racial divides is not a wise choice is my opinion. Regardless, I respect your rule and you are in a position to rule your province as you see fit. I must remind you none of us know anything about what’s going on within the Dominion, seeing as how your father tossed out almost all the other races people from Summerset and expelled them permanently. If you wish to prove to us that through intellectual, industrial, economic and political means that you are a wiser choice for a union and that Elves will rule supreme in that manner while the rest of us remain status quo, then so be it. As long as you will not continue your fathers work, that is oppression, religious outlawing and invasion of the other provinces then the Emperor shall surely be willing to end his work against deconstructing your Fathers. He would be unwise not to. From what I have seen so far, you are in no way as extreme as we saw before your rule. I pray the improvements continue.”

The Councillor turned to the Khajiit and gave a small bow “Ab’Farahn, it is pleasing that you made it. You’ve missed a lot. The Aldmeri dominion is attempting to build relations with the other races, it seems, through trade routes and even a military agreement with Orismer. Of course, what you will probably be most interested to know is that one of your competitors from the South is actually here as an observer, so I would advise you do not speak ill of the south. I made the mistake of speaking ill of an attendant and have seen a response which I would not like to relive…”

Aelid nodded to the councilman and flashed a smile, filled with dazzling perfectly straight white teeth.

“The Isles belong to the Altmer, it is said. Yet I harbor no great resentment towards even those without the gift of the blood of Mer. I would happily accept small limited quotas of immigrants who would have the luck to live upon our summer isles. This war of Men and Elves serves no purpose, as even if the Dominion won or the Empire won, you still wouldn’t have proven the Thalmor wrong.

We believe to be the most Supreme Race among Tamriel in the fine art of Statecraft and Bureaucracy, not War and Combat. The only way to prove us right or wrong in our belief is to give us leadership, so that we may prove our capabilities. Centuries of conflict and bloodshed haven’t done anyone any favors.” The High King of the Dominion leaned back in his chair, and upon hearing of the Southern Representative, had a look of bewilderment and excitement. He leaned over to Dobin to whisper in his ear.

“Have that Southern Khajiit brought to my Chambers immediately after this Summit. I would speak to her.” Dobin nodded seriously and kept his eye on the tigress, so as to speak to her immediately after the summit.

Balgruuf sat on the seat, with his two advisors already there. He view the Khajiit , and the southern one. Balgruuf listened to his advisors, before nodding. “ Where is Hammerfell?” asked Balgruuf, a newly unopened bottle of mead placed near him. “Another point of talking is the docks, I think we should set up a primary docking network where all nations elect one city that they decide to be their primary dock city, and where trade will flow through, a secondary city will be also provided to accept Exports, one city for Imports and one for Exports, simple and also, all nations that will go on with the trade routes proposed by the high elves will pitch in to building a dock here in black marsh , either with manpower, resources, and other things that shall be decided hopefully later on.” suggested an Advisor on Balgruuf’s right side.

“Aye, I agree with the Nord. I would propose Firsthold for the Exports of my people, and Skywatch as the Imports. Each Nation that would enter into this Naval Trade Union with us, must be willing to send supplies and workers to aid in the construction of ports and docks, ships and the like. All must pull their own weight in this Union.” Aelid nodded to the Nord, and realized that his Craftsmen would be very busy when he returned.

“You’re quite right. We’ve dwelled on it long enough, I welcome the chance to hear others talk of something other than war. I would like to extend trade agreements of my own, to Skyrim, Morrowind, Blackmarsh and Alinor. Should Hammerfell arrive, I would be interested in discussing matters with them but it seems that they will not be in attendance… or they got lost coming, the divines only know how thick the marsh forests are.” The Councillor said with a smile, and the Counts gaze on him softened. The Dark Elf seemed to let out a sigh of relief, as though hoping that this peace treaty would be enough to dodge the little… or rather massive... Cheydinhal problem. Hah, he should be so lucky...

“It’s Ab’Farahn’s Honour to be here” started Ab’Farahn “Ab’Farahn just wants peace in our land. He does not hate the Southerners, He does not speak ill of them in any way of hatred, only in the way of any conflict. We do not fight or kill the Southerners out of hatred, just for peace. We kill the enemy, we do not hate them. Unlike a few of you, Ab’Farahn’s concern is not of the Aldmeri or the Empire at the current time, it’s just to make our land stable and at peace with each other. Currently Elsweyr is broken into two pieces, we are just trying to repair it. We would like to negotiate it out, but it seems that we can’t. This is why we are forced to fight over it. Please Councillor, and Aelid, explain to Ab’Farahn the problem we are discussing. All Ab’Farahn can say right now, is that the Empire is just trying to unite Tamriel, in case of any bigger threat that may come. That is why we want to ally with the Nords, Bretons, Bosmer, etcetera, to have a peaceful and joined land. Correct Ab’Farahn if he is wrong Councillor. Anyway, Ab’Farahn needs to know the full story. Anyway, Rules-With-Claws, why are we truly here? You mentioned something about the shadowscales…”

Rules-With-Claw smiled at the opportunity to speak again. He was content enough to be silent and simply let things transpire. “The Shadowscales, the Argonian assassins who were able to sneak into your capital cities and leave notes with your most vigilant guardsmen like a lover leaves a kiss? They are, like all things, a potential Argonian export. We regret not sending one to the Khajiit, but as I mentioned, we do not support either side of the Khajiit conflict. Envenoming the relationship with the Khajiit is the last thing the Argonians want, there is enough hatred between our kingdoms as is.”

Aelid flicked his tongue against his top teeth thinking deeply to himself, attempting for find the perfect words for such a moment. He spoke slowly, and with care.

“Tell me, Khajiit. What of the Dominion? Do you not believe us able to unite the land and bring harmony? Mankind has only ever united Tamriel once, and that was at the edge of a blade. Perhaps the Altmer may bring Harmony as well, and without as many corpses. The Dominion does not lay claim nor responsibility to the Death of your Mane, and there is little that can be done now for it. But during your time under Dominion Leadership, not once did your lands burn. Not once did your cubs get slaughtered. It seems under Imperial Rule your land is fractured and scarred. Just like Skyrim was a few years ago, before they gained their Independence.” Aelid would glance to the Imperial man with a devious grin.

“I must object, their land has been fractured and scarred almost at any point without a Mane. With or without the Dominion, the Loss of the Mane would have sparked this Issue, Elsweyr has rarely, if ever been united on an issue. Need I point out they removed you from the province in such a manner? They did fracture under your rule and as a result you were ejected from Elsweyr”

“If you think you can restore Order within Elsweyr, be my guest, Imperial. But I was simply… building up to a proposition. Perhaps you would care to not interrupt me until I am finished? Thank you.”

“Whenever a Mane has gone, the land has broken. Because, Sadly our people always disagree and quarrel with each other… Just like you two… The Empire and the Aldmeri quarrel too much. They should be more concerned about world issues and should be working together, but working together properly. It is rare that the Empire and Aldmeri work together, and almost all of Tamriel’s problems would probably be solved if you worked together. Elsweyr could probably be untied and so could Tamriel. You both have similar aims, to unite. So why don’t you put your minds and thoughts together so that this goal can be achieved… Anyway, you were saying, Aeild?”

“I would not quarrel if the Imperial simply did not interrupt me. The point I am trying to make in all this, is the following. I believe that Order should be restored to the lands of Valenwood and Elsweyr. Thalmor troops would be willing to land in Elsweyr and help unify the province, even under the Imperial Banner if the Khajiit would decide it. I would ask only in return that all Imperial Legions withdraw from Valenwood.

The Aldmeri Dominion believes that the Empire of Man has certain right to rule certain people. The Imperials, Nords, Redguard, all Men. It makes sense they would be under one banner. While I am not so sure about the Khajiit joining the Empire of Man, I must say I do have plans for Aldmeri Members who may not be Mer..” Aelid glanced at the large and fierce Argonian, before resuming.

“The Dominion will not stand for Elves being rule by Men, however. We shall fight to our last breath, but the Imperials shall NEVER rule the lands of Morrowind, Valenwood, or Alinor. This I swear.” Aelid spoke sternly, yet with a polite and friendly tone that only the cultured High Elves could do. It was a voice that could tell you to fuck your own mother, and yet sound as smooth as honey.

“I’m afraid, King Aedil, that the Empire won’t be ruling any Elves, so you can put those fears to rest. Valenwood asked for their independence, we have guaranteed they will receive it unless they would choose otherwise. Order will be restored, I’m sure the Governor Militant already has plans to end the troubles in Elsweyr. Valenwood, is still rather stable, it seems. The Bosmer appear to have taken to acting as one.” The Councillor said, in a tone of a man who just realised his opponent had thought something that wasn’t quite correct. It seemed King Aedil believed that the Empire was trying to seize Valenwood. “So worry not, you will not need to stand for our rule of Valenwood, Morrowind or Alinor.”

“If the Khajiit were not to be in some Alliance, or some beast alliance, just because they’re not man or elf, the same would be of the Argonians, if we were to be independent we would be weaker, and an alliance between beasts would be weaker as there is only two beast races in Tamriel, Khajiit and Argonians, which also actually happen to be the natives of Tamriel.” Ab’Farahn said smoothly and politely. “Has it ever concerned that you are actually doing most of your business on our land everyone?” Ab’Farahn joked and laughed quietly afterwards. “We are with the Empire, because we need to be with a strong alliance. Alone, we would be in bad shape.
In a beast only alliance, it would be only slightly better. An alliance with more races means a better and stronger one. Especially compared to being alone or with just one other race.”

“Heh, a strong alliance? look what happened to Morrowind when we thought of the same with the Imperials.” Ildoryn interjected to the Khajiit before being cut by the entrance of the Redguards.

Dornthal, warlord and knight commander of the Serpent Guard, entered the sizable chamber with his own entourage of redguard warriors. Large of stature and adorned in dark robed headgear and steel breastplate, he easily cut an impressive visage.

A herald at the door quickly announced his parties arrival.

"Warlord Dornthal, Knight commander of the Serpent Guard has arrived!"

Dornthal quickly scanned the interior of the room with the practiced eye of a season warrior, even surrounded as he was by nearly equally formidable looking knights. A servant quickly ushered them to a table.

He waited a moment before taking his seat, before clearing his throat once a moment of silence permitted him to speak. "First I would extend apologies to High King Rules-With-Claw for our late arrival, events in the west made for a difficult time of it." He tilted his head ever so in a show of respect. "But rest assured we have arrived, and I act as the voice of Vanquisher Temijen himself."

“Please, I am not a High King. In your tongue, the closest translation would be ‘Lord.’ Either way, we are glad for your arrival.” Rules-With-Claws nodded to the Redguard, before speaking in Jel to a serving girl. Moments later, she brought in a tray of alcohols and placed them before the previously empty seat of the Redguards.

“Hello, Redguards. A pleasure to see you could make it. Please, come join us. And, Actually Ildoryn, Ab’Farahn said it was ‘Stronger than being alone’.”

Balgruuf raised his mead bottle up, nodding to Dornthal . “Welcome Redguard, we would like to talk business with you about a possible trade alliance and a military an alliance , if that is in your interests“

“The Representative of King Ferrand Bellemont of Daggerall and Greater High Rock would like to extend a hand of negotiation with our neighbors to the south.” Niklaus raised his wine glass to the newly arrived Redguard and his retinue.

“Hail Dornthal, welcome to our little meeting, I hope any talks between us will be filled mutually beneficial for our great nations!” The Councillor said, giving a small bow to the Redguard Warlord.

Ildoryn bowed his head towards Dornthal, but didn’t speak a word until the Redguard commander passed infront of his vision. “It’s a pleasure you could join us.” He says before taking a swig from a cup he was holding.

Dornthal tilted his head once more in way of hello as he took his seat. To the High rock representative he nodded. "Indeed, rest assured Hammerfell also wishes the very same." He began in an easy breath, searching for the right words. Dornthal had been given the role as voice for Hammerfell, though it had been an act of necessity rather than well planned purpose. As Dornthal lacked the same political skills as Temijen himself. "Long have Hammerfell and High Rock stood estrange from one another. Of late I fear our relations may have soured, with recent events revolving around Stros M'kai." The latter he added with a somber note.

“Indeed. An issue that sorely needs to be addressed. Rest assured, once voting for a High King of the Realm for High Rock is done, this Pirate-Lord will be swiftly dealt with. That self-titled ruler in Wayrest says that he’s sent a small fleet after Dupont.” NIklaus assured. Off in the corner, Everard’s knuckles went white beneath the gauntlets resting on the pommel of his blade at the mention of his once-great Kingdom. Brother Montyard spared a glance at his leader, a small frown on his lips.

Dornthal allowed himself a small smile at hearing that new's assuming it was true of course. "That news is well received. I know Temijen will expect all those responsible for the attacks personally brought to him for their crimes. After all, Redguards are not the kind to forget a slight against them." His eyes flickered to Aelid for a fraction of a second at that, but his faced thus remained neutral. That was one of many topics that was to be addressed today, perhaps the most important of all. The pirate problem had thus far been seen as a minor though troublesome one, one not easily addressed with the smell of war on the horizon. However, with most of the fleet now free after the Valenwood landing, that was soon to change.

“ Redguard, do your people desire an trade alliance and a possible military alliance with the people of Skyrim, your northern neighbours? “ asked Balgruuf, a new paper right in front of him.

Folding his large arms before him Dornthal fixed Balgruuf with a steady look before responding. "At this time Temijen does not seek military alliances, I fear recent years had created more mistrust in my Redguards of foreigners than ever in past years. However, this does not mean we do not seek friends. The Nords of Skyrim in particular have proven themselves to be an honorable and formidable warrior people. Trade is certainly a possibility, transit rights at our ports could help extend your trading lanes greatly to other provinces further south. Once more, our land is rich in textiles and dyes. But what can Skyrim offer the Redguards? Our needs of late require greater sums of lumber than in previous generations. What of a deal involving the wood Falkreath is well known for?"

It was at this point that Yagurz spoke up, “If I may, esteemed representatives…” Yagurz was one of the earlier individuals to return from the break, however, he had remained silent for the time being, listening to Imperial and Aldmeri banter, not to mention the late arrival of the Redguards, “Though Falkreath has plentiful wood reserves...how are you going to get them to the Redguards? By sea? If so, then you are absurd. The sad fact is, that wood will have to pass through Orsinium. The idea that we are going to allow the Redguards to acquire more wood, which we have no assurance on it’s use to develop a fleet or to build machines of war to burn my people’s homes, is ludicrous!”

“Yagurz, you’re going to try and act as a blocker between two nations much larger than you?”

“Perhaps not wise indeed, Imperial. But I do not doubt the Orc’s sense of Valor now, though.”

“Indeed, their bravery is admirable, but considering the size of the armies of two provinces sitting right next to them, even the Orcs powerful warriors wouldn’t be able to stand. Instead, Yagurz, If promise you of the Empires aid should they turn the wood to destroy you, which I highly doubt, would you allow them to pass their wood through your lands?”

“Oh? Are you in your business of protecting people now? How do I know the Redguards don’t plan to sail to Alinor with this lumber? They already have slaughtered my troops in Valenwood, don’t think me dumb to my own militaries reports. The Orc is beginning to sound more and more correct. What guarantee do I have the Empire will be able to protect the Dominion from assaults by it’s own Member States?”

“Where was your assurance when they did it the last time, Imperial?”

“I thought the Elves had the best navy in Tamriel, even Hammerfell’s might would not be able to fell your navy alone, would it? Orisinium is much smaller. And Yagurz, my word matters, because consistency matters. You cannot pick and choose which promises to honour. I have pledged to help make this a better Empire, I am offering you protection should your fears be realised. I understand your fears, but I think you are overreacting. I’m sure you would be able to charge for the passage of the goods through your lands, after all. Still, if you wish to try and prevent them from passing their resources through your lands, that’s you’re choice, but I don’t think your neighbours will be too pleased with going the long way around, and whether you try to stop it or not it’s going to get to it’s destination, isn’t it?”

“We do. It is the principal of the matter, Human.”

“I understand that, Aedil, but you are many times larger and more powerful than Orisinium.” The Count began, chiming in for the first time in defence of the councillor, an odd occurence which earned him a sidewards glance from the Councillor and a mouthed ‘thank you’ “It’s not like Orisinium can make boasts of forces and lands as large and grand as your own, can it?”

“Indeed it cannot, and while I am happy to serve in this matter, I would simply like to clarify that any assaults from Imperial States will be received as a Declaration of War. I only mean to tell you to make sure nobody does anything… stupid, eh?” Aelid smiled and nodded, before turning to the laughs of the Orc.

Yagurz could only really laugh at the proceedings. That’s all he could do, laugh at the idea that the Imperials were assuring his people protection, but he stopped laughing when he heard, “It’s not like Orsinium can make boasts of forces and lands as large and grand as your own.” Yagurz stopped dead in his tracks. He looked right at the Count and damn near shouted at him, “How dare you insult the military prowess of my people! Don’t you dare forget that it was not merely the Nords and the Imperials who fought to protect your sovereignty during the Great War! Any notion of our ability as warriors should have been proven during that conflict, or need I cite others? How about the thirty year siege of the first Orsinium by the Redguards? You want to talk about the size of someone’s lands when every time they’ve come close to establishing their own dominion, it gets cut down? Don’t you dare speak of lands or military power, you bastard, because your achievements have been built on the backs of giants.”

“Hammerfell is not an Imperial state, I have no control over it, nor does the Emperor, the rest of the council or anyone else in the Imperial Establishment, King Aedil.” The Councillor jumped back slightly as he heard the Orc begin to yell, and the Dark Elven Counts dark skin seemed to go slightly paler. The Councillor quickly came to his aid

“Chieftain Yagurz, he was not trying to insult you, your warriors in heavy armour are among the finest in all of Nirn, not just Tamriel! He was merely referring to The Thalmor’s large forces. He meant nothing by the comment but to point out the size… You cannot deny that your armies SIZE is smaller than that of Skyrim and Hammerfell, AND the Dominion. We did not wish to pretend that your army was of poor quality, they are of great quality, the Count was merely pointing to the Thalmors own large forces.”

“The Dominion has not forgotten the abandonment of the Orcs during our time of need during the war, Yagurz. Fighting for the Realms of Men, and against your own brothers! We may not be as close as us and the Dunmer or Bosmer, but by the Eight, you have the blood of Mer! Yet you seem all too eager to Forsake us now, as you did then.” Aelid replied, heated by the Orcs words.

Balgruuf had a sip of his meed, has he heard of the trade and task at hand. “ The Orcs are being protective, we could trade from the ports at Dawnstar and a Vessel picks up the wood form the city of Solitude , under the flag of Hammerfell, if that is alright with you? “ purposed one of his advisors to the left. Balgruuf seemed to whisper to the advisor on the right, he nodded before he went out, he later came back, after 5- 10 minutes

The two imperial body guards exchanged glances with each other, before the count stepped in
“Chieftain Yagurz, I apologise for any offence I may have caused, that was not my intent I assure you…”

Yagurz took in a deep breath, looking directly to Balgruuf “The wood may pass through Orsinium at a minor toll…” Yagurz looked to Aelid and gave him a glance of ‘We shall talk later’, looking back to the Count, “You are forgiven, Dunmer. You are lucky that I am not a berserker.”

“ Very well, the toll shall be decided once the Redguards have shown us what they offer and we shall decide on a route or that, before we discuss however would you charge the wood in weight, or a fixed rate? “ asked an advisor, writing down most of the confrontation between the three factions..

“By weight.”

The Advisor nodded, writing down how the wood will be taxed. “ The wood has been taken care of, now what do the Redguards have to offer Skyrim?” asked Balgruuf

Dornthal regarded Yagurz with a look of seeming boredom. "The sad truth of it my friend is thus, had Temijen had any wish to march on Orsinium. It would already be a burning husk of ruin, and you wouldn't even be here to complain. Your people are formidable warriors, but as the wise Imperial councilor has pointed out. You have neither the influence nor the means in which to successfully embargo trade between Hammerfall and Skyrim. To do so would be foolish to the extreme, even for a people not well known for their...wisdom."

Dornthal then turned to Aelid with an almost unmistakable glare of hate in his eyes. "As for you...Since you have brought up the matter, let us address if in full shall we? First let us re-establish a few facts. Fact one: Let us make no mistake, it is your people who landed upon our lands and sought to subject MY people. Or have you forgotten already? Fact two: Yes, we have attacked your holding's in Valenwood, but let us not dance around the issue of the matter, it was your very own bosmer allies who sought to expel you, is that not so? Or will you sit here and sprout lies to us from you forked tongue?" With effort Dronthal breathed through his clenched teeth and withheld his anger as he brought it in check. It took every bit of self-control and discipline not to dash across the room and strangle the haughty elf right there. He turned his attention to the others in the room. "Rest assured, our fleet is one of security first and foremost. But with that said, did you truly believe there would be no retribution for the actions of the Dominion? In the last let me add this of which I will say only once, Hammerfall is no more a puppet of the Empire than we are of you accursed elven kind. Know it is at the mercy of Temijen that we have not already set sail to your island where you now cower and raze it to the ground as you sought to do to us."

With a slowly rising voice he added. "On that note, the Dominion has yet to send but 'one' envoy for peace, not one assorted bit of effort to right your many past wrongs. So let us hear it now. What does your Dominion have to offer to avoid further conflict? Aside from your heads on a silver plate and delivered to our doorstep that is."

The High Elf took a look at Dobin, his Lord Protecter, and then the High Justicar. He turned to look at the Orc, and the Imperial, before turning to the Redguard with a look of cleansing Fury.

“You think that we tried to assault your lands..? We tried to subjugate your people…? This is obviously not true, as to my knowledge, Hammerfell has not crumbled and fallen into the sea like the pathetic spit of sand and dirt it is.” With this, Aelid quite literally, spit on the floor, before turning his eyes back to the Redguard.

“But do not worry. Because one day, very soon, it will. I have nothing to send to Hammerfell but my Vengeance.” He placed his hand at his one handed sword and dagger, and damn near challenged the Warlord right then and there. He hadn’t survived betrayal, exile, bounty hunters, rebellion and more to take any kind of shit from as pitiful of a creature as a mere Man.

“ So after this little squabble is done, may I talk with Hammerfall of what they offer to Skyrim? “ asked Balgruuf, still just sitting while his Advisors took lengthy notes on the events of the summit.

Ildoryn shook his head upon hearing those words for the leader of the Dominion. The events were getting out of hand, and strangely, Morrowind kept their silence upon the matters being discussed.

"So we hear it at last then!" Dornthal clapped his hands in mock jest. "You would rather spit meaningless, empty, threats then shallow you overly large pride. Though I am sure if you ever tried you would choke on it." He added the last with a scowl. "Well then I have all the answer I need on the subject don't I? Very well, then, the subject is settled, and know that in future days when you look back in regret as you cities burn around you, that you were offered the chance. The once chance. To right your mistakes." At that Dornthal paid the high elf no further attention. Dornthal had never much been a man of making idle threats, no true redguard warrior was. Indeed, Dornthal only ever made promises, and he was a man quite keen on delivering them. He turned to Balgruuf and inclined his head almost apologetically. "But yes, let us attempt to return to the issue at hand shall we? Aside from fire transit of our ports and water ways, our ancient Yokudan traditions in seafaring might be a great benefit to you should Skyrim seek to build their own fleet."

Yagurz then turned from Aelid and looked to the Imperial Councillor, giving him a similar look that he gave to Aelid. It was with that, Yagurz rose from his chair and looked around, eyeing the other representatives before announcing, “If anyone has need of me, I will be outside. I need some fresh air, before my anger gets the better of me again.” And thus, Yagurz went outside of the room, looking to cool down for a moment...and potentially encounter the others.

“ Seafarnig ways...hm … I’ll speak with Jartod about a possible deal, once the orcs have agreed to open the borders up for the wood, we’ll begin to talk about the offer “ said Balgruuf, writing this down.

The High King of the Dominion stood and took tally of the situation, before speaking with a calm and carefully selected demeanor.

“Re Establishing the Embassy in Skyrim, Building Ports in Black Marsh and Morrowind, Trade to High Rock and a Representative, perhaps a Military Trade with the Orcs, a Cease-Fire with the Empire, and a Nation of nasty little Men to set my ravenous warships on. I think the Altmer have received all they can from this summit. If you would excuse me, Lords of Tamriel.”

Aelid and his entourage stood and gracefully glided from the room, none seeing the feet of the High Elves touch the floor as they walked.

Yagurz stood outside the room, looking around for a moment as he watched Aelid exit from the summit. They looked exactly the way that he had pictured High Elves, uptight, dressed for the next ballroom, and crafty. Crafty as hell. He couldn’t really deny the point of the Imperials. The Thalmor weren’t exactly...kind to Yagurz’s people, but he needed a way to get an advantage. Some way, some how, he would see his people back in the Wrothgarians. Even if it meant taking them by force.

Yagurz yawned and furrowed his brow, looking to Aelid and his gathered group of Altmer. It wasn’t long before Yagurz spoke, “I understand the value of Thalmor Battlemages. They are rumored to be highly skilled. However, the question remains: How are you going to get a representative to Orsinium?”

The High Elf was still furious at the Redguard, and this helped alleviate some of his anger from the Orc. He would turn to Yagurz and speak idly, his mind having been left still in the Summit Room.

“I will send them with the Merchants to High Rock. They shall ride from Daggerfall to meet with your people. If they like them, they will take a Clan of Orcish Berserkers, and the next Merchant Ship that returns to High Rock will come bringing more than silks and spices. This I swear to you, as my Mer-kin.”’

Yagurz nodded and sighed, looking to the skies of Black Marsh before beginning once more into the room, “I have much more business to attend to, aside from this. You will find scouts from Orsinium outside of the city of Dragonstar. They will show your emissaries the way...at any rate, I must once more enter and deal with the things to come...thank you for your time, King Aelid.” Yagurz came back into the Summit Chamber and took a seat at his chair, looking around at the assorted groups once more.

The High Elf wouldn’t pretend to trust this Orc who would gloat for his ability to kill Altmer. Yet he also hated the Redguards, who were also hotheaded antagonizers. He had hoped to bring the Orcs into the fold to use as Heavy Infantry to supplement his Mages, yet he had little faith or trust in the green skinned Mer.

Only the Dunmer, Bretons, and Argonians had managed to leave much of a positive impression. The High King was exhausted, and his entourage returned to the Altmeri Chambers to rest, sending only the Thalmor Justicar Aldra back to the Summit, so as to witness everything that would happen in their absence.

With the flustered exit of the Altmer, Brother Montyard spared a worried glance to Everard. The Breton in disguise in the corner frowned beneath his visor, eyes narrowing. The recent events would make it very difficult for him to get a message to Aelid if his eyes weren’t on him. At least the Orcs were present, and Everard could use Orcs. Ambition is a grand thing. Makes sharp things of men and Ambrose’s sacking of Wayrest, his usurpation of his throne, that was as fine a whetstone he could ever ask for. Ever so slightly, Everard nodded his helmeted head and Montyard carefully patted Niklaus’s elbow, “I must leave for a short while. The urge to relieve myself grows strong.”

Niklaus only nodded, shooing him away with disinterest. It was a gamble talking to him, but he guessed he sounded enough like his Assistant-Advisor to pass. Everard and Mathieu left their places in the corner, leaving the last two men-at-arms brought in to watch the summit’s happenings.

“A thorn in my side. I must speak to Aelid.” Everard sighed.

“I will find someone loyal to him. I still have the crest of Wayrest on my person. If he should recognize it, we may have his ear when he sees it. This is a bigger gamble than any we’ve undertaken, Brother.” Montyard said, finally once in his life worried about something.

“Isn’t it?” Everard slapped Montyard’s back jovially. So close to his goals.

Back at the Summit hall, Niklaus watched idly, not caring to embroil himself in the squabbles of others. He’d at least learned their were some among the Orcs who wanted peace as he did, gained good graces with the Altmer and opened trade and possible military alliances with the Nords. A very fulfilling day, the last item on the list being to secure a trade deal with Morrowind. He waited for a chance for things to quiet before he’d make his move. Perhaps alcohols or cloth, enchanted or not and ready for the seamstress’s hand. He tapped a finger on the table and sucked his teeth, pondering.

As Yagurz sat down at his place at the table, he watched as one of the advisors from High Rock excused himself...and so did two of the men-at-arms. He gathered from Niklaus’ reaction that he didn’t particularly give much of a damn about the assistant, so it was more than a tad bit odd that half of his entourage promptly marched themselves out to follow the man. Yagurz motioned over to his own honour guard, whispering into the ear of one, “I want you and two others to head out into the hallway. It is possible that the Bretons may try something.”

Following that, three Orcs proceeded to exit into the hallway after Everard, Montyard, and Mathieu. The three of them weren’t looking for a fight, they were merely there as Yagurz’s insurance policy if, by chance, someone wanted to try and make a move at the summit.

Meanwhile, Yagurz turned to the representative from Morrowind, and cleared his throat, “It is to my understanding that you have acquired some of our blacksmiths from Orsinium?”

Ildoryn remained silent ever since the Redguards arrived and joined the summit. His face showed signs of discontent with the outcome of the summit, after the Imperials outburst. The inquiry of Yagurz suddenly distracted his thoughts as he was forced to reply on a subject that might put Morrowind and Orsinium next on the table of conflict.

“Ah, yes, Morrowind did acquire some Orcish blacksmiths recently. They offered their services to the King of Morrowind, which was gladly accepted. It seems like the news of the new mining and crafting opportunities in Morrowind reached as far as Orsinium.” Ildoryn says, trying to steer the subject in a good perspective.

It took a moment for Yagurz to reply, as a matter of a fact he was a bit pre-occupied with the whole business with Aelid, and wondering what the hell was going on out in the hallway. When he did reply, Yagurz looked a tad bit intrigued, “I seem to recall that you were searching for minerals, correct? If so, my people utilize orichalc and steel quite often. We have many different kinds of ore that we can trade with you for. The only question is, what can you offer me? I can bring you weapons and materials to make them, but I want to know what you will bring to Orsinium in exchange.”

“Yes, Morrowind does search for minerals such as Orichalcum currently, if your people wishes to trade some of these to our people, we can offer in return some valuable raw materials and even finished products to Orsinium.” Says Ildoryn before clearing his throat to speak again. “Just like what we’ve presented earlier, Morrowind has a surplus of Ebony, Glass, and other precious materials, all of which we are willing to trade. Apart from that, Morrowind also produces some.. weapons.. crafted by using Akaviri techniques, which I’m sure your people will find quite impressive.”

Yagurz pondered for a moment, staring off into the distance wondering what else he could offer that would be of us to Morrowind, “If Skyrim would allow it, I can also offer you the resources within the Orcish Strongholds of Skyrim. Not all of them, of course, but a portion. They mostly have Iron and Orichalcum as well, though one has an Ebony mine that I am sure is of no use to you. We would be willing to exchange for weapons and, if possible, we will send out scouting parties to retrieve Dwemer metals. However, we will need to send a representative to Morrowind to examine what we will be trading for.”

“Of course, we’ll make preparations for the arrival of your representative. In response to your offer with the Strongholds, we will discuss it further with the leader of Skyrim.” Ildoryn responded, though it seems that he has more to say to the Orc. “We would also like to send one of our Telvanni Magelords to your capital, as a sign of good will towards the people of Orsinium. It would only fair for us to share some knowledge with you, in exchange for the Orcish smiths now serving Morrowind.

It was more than a tad bit pleasing to Yagurz to hear about the opportunity to have a Telvanni Mage-Lord come to Orsinium and work alongside the Orcs. This was becoming a more than profitable venture for the Orcs, Yagurz was pleased, though he was saddened at the fact that several of his kin left Orsinium for Morrowind, he was glad to gain the opportunity to work with one so skilled in his craft. Yagurz nodded, “Very well, let this be the dawning of a fruitful friendship between our peoples. I will give word to Burkash of this agreement. He will be most pleased with this.”

Ildoryn nodded in response to what Yagurz said, and raised his cup full of Cyrodiilic Brandy to the air. “To a bright future” He says, before drinking the contents of the cup, nearly emptying it before lowering it down. To his surprise, the Emprie haven’t made efforts to deal with Morrowind, nor antagonize its dealings.

Yagurz nodded and laughed heartily, taking another swig of his own Brandy, despite trying to hold to a code of no drinking, “Indeed! To a bright future!” Though, to Yagurz, the future looked a little...dark. Ultimately, though, things were starting to look up for the Orcs, especially thanks to this dealing.

As the representatives of Tamriel argued and negotiated, S’arah sat and sipped various alcohol. In particular, she took great interest in a “Argonian Blood Wine”, a strong tasting liquor that she had consumed a full bottle of. The drink initially felt mild to the tigress, but after ½ of the bottle, S’arah felt like sticking her head into a bucket full of water. Therefore, the later discussions simply escape her ears, as she drunkenly pulled the blood wine from it container. Only at the end of the session, was she taken back to reality by a militiaman.

“Uh, boss” the Khajiit reminded. “I think we are finished now.”

After shaking her head a few times, S’arah noticed the Argonian delivering a ending speech.

“To the many representatives that have attended this summit, The Argoinans thank you all. Late arrivals and heated discussions aside, we have achieved much today, and I hope to achieve even more tomorrow. For now, we shall adjourn for tonight.” Rules-With-Claws announced. He rises from his seat and stalks off towards the exit, leaving Stalks-The-Stars behind, watching the various members of each nation, eyes lingering for a moment upon the Tigress. In honesty, he’d half expected her to flee, after being outed. Glad to see she had more spine than a normal Khajiit.

“Err right, what do we have?” The Khajiit handed over a notebook, where important discussion were recorded.

“I see, perhaps we do have some opportunities in this summit.”

Later that night, S’arah arrived in front of Ildoryn’s room. She knocked a couple of times before speaking to its owner. “Honorable Dunmer, I am the representative of Southern Elsweyr, do you have a moment to spare?”

Ildoryn looked at the Khajiit that was before the door, his guards placed their hands on the hilts of their blade and stood before S’arah’s path, but was dismissed by Ildoryn. “Of course, please, come in.” He says before the guards moved away from S’arah’s path, letting her inside.

The room wasn’t that extravagant, but it was furnished well to satisfy the Dunmer occupant’s tastes. He gestured the Khajiit to have a seat on the chair facing the table, before seating himself opposite of her chair. Two guards stood by the closed door of the room, while the rest of the guard detail remained outside.

“So, what is it that you wish to discuss?”

The first thing she noticed was the Dunmer’s armor. Despite being the in the privacy of his room, and the protection of his guards, Ildoryn still wore a full set of ebony armor. The next thing she noticed was how under-equipped she was compared to him. The militia leather she wore was neither formal or menacing, a problem she needed to address later.

Sitting down after Ildoryn’s invitation, S’arah started.”You mentioned Akavir smithing techniques during the summit, what do you know of such art?”

Ildoryn cleared his throat before speaking, after spending hours of drinking while listening to the banters of the representatives, his voice was rough like the edge of a rusted sword.

“I’ve spent the last two hundred years in Akavir, along with our king, Oravos. During those times, we’ve managed to gather knowledge that we deemed useful for the people of Morrowind.” He says before clearing throat again, making sure that his voice wouldn’t make him sound like weary old man. “This subject seems to interest you, would the Khajiit of Southern Elsewyr be interested with Morrowind’s offers?”

“Though I could see the benefits to Southern Elsweyr, I doubt their capabilities in handling such as powerful gift,” S’arah pulsed for a moment, thinking on whether or not she should expose her true motive. “They are allies, yes. But in the end, just a pawn. A wooden plank drifting amidst a great ocean during a harrowing storm.”

In the end, S’arah decided to tell Ildoryn the truth. “I am no Khajiit of Elsweyr, for I am a Ka Po’ Tun of Akavir. I have heard tales of Dunmers visiting the Tsaesci Kingdom, now I see these tales are indeed true. General Abasi-Kil hired me to scout out this land, but to me, I see more opportunities than mere conquest. You have managed to secure some impressive alliances, alliances that could also benefit the East.”

A faint trace of a smirk was formed on Ildoryn’s face, his plan to lure a suspicion he had on the meeting proved to be right, and now, he can discuss matters with a possible ally in the future.
“I knew something was off from the way you spoke, Khajiits mostly address themselves in different manner.” He says before fixing his position on the chair. “I’m impressed that the Akaviri has their roots planted on Tamrielic land already, a shame that the blockade we had on the eastern shores of Morrowind proved no hindrance to Akavir’s efforts.”

“Morrowind aims to rise from the ashes that covered not only our lands but our reputations as well, but it wouldn’t be possible without gaining a few friends.” He says before pouring himself and S’arah a glass of Dagoth Brandy he bought from Morrowind. “I can’t make any promises of our support, for it is my king to decide on that matter. Though if you want to hear my opinion, Akavir is more than worthy to rule these lands.”

S’arah smiled at the Dunmer’s comment, she almost grabbed the cup, only to realize her headache from drinking a whole bottle of Argonian Blood Wine. “Indeed, the general has resources of many capabilities, which will no doubt benefit your land. However, I am here to discuss other nations of Tamriel. I have discovered the Orcs’ honor and willingness, an agreement with these green-skined people would do Akavir a great favour.”

“Ah, the Orsimer, they’re fine smiths. Not even the skills of a Dunmer can match their talents with the hammer and tempered steel. They can prove their worth not only in a foundry, but in battlefield as well. Morrowind will try its best to bring them into the fold, but I’m sure its best if you talk to them yourself. Like you’ve said, Orcs value honor and willingness, approaching them would likely give a good impression.” He says before drinking a portion of the alcohol in the cup. Ildoryn then pushes the other cup towards S’arah’s direction, implying an invite to drink with him.

“I’m sure you’ll also find the Nords and interesting bunch. They’re a strong, honorable people, that shares a common dislike for the Empire. They value power and freedom, so if you want to them on your side, its best to avoid any offers that would suppress their right to their lands.”

S’arah pushed the cup away from her, shaking her head in polite declination. She already drank a whole bottle of Argonian Blood Wine, two cups of Black Briar mead and half a bottle of Cyrodiilic Brandy. “Thank you for your suggestions, I will speak to those representatives as soon as possible.”

Before leaving through the door, the tigress nodded to Ildoryn and headed out into the night. Her thoughts were on all the possibilities there are, how easily manipulated these Tamrielic folks are.

“Divines be damned,” she whispered to herself. “I am starting to enjoy this work.”

Lord General Walden of the Renshi
24th of Midyear
Senchal

Walden and the other members of his Renshi stood dressed in nothing but commoner’s rags and clothes, attempting to blend in well with the locals of this place. He knew the Khajiit had far too good of night vision to attempt to sneak through the city unseen, and as such they would have to hide in plain sight. They were in the city now, in the market. It was past midnight, though Walden wasn’t sure by how much. More Khajiit roamed the city at this hour then they thought, and this made them nervous.

Still, they walked through the city towards the slums, the poverty infested under bowls of the city. They seemed to intimately know the path they walked and where they went. Yet as they did this thing the moons of the sign slowly aligned, and the light coming down on the city from the black heavens grew slowly brighter, and brighter. Lord Estermont knew they had little time now to make their move, and he hoped the Captain of the Ship wasn’t a coward, or they were all dead men.

As they reached some unassuming raggedy shack in the deepest parts of the slums, it appeared if only for a brief second that a third moon would rise high into the sky, entering into this eclipse with its siblings. The light would grow bright enough to force any who would look to turn away, then quickly died down until it was only a large globe in the sky once more, seeming to radiate light. Walden kicked his boot harshly against the wood of the shack, and it exploded inwards with force.

Rushing inside, he found a Khajjit woman laying on her side in the middle of the floor, multiple cubs suckling at her tits. Both the mother and the cubs were still wet and blood, covered in juices. It hadn’t been very long at all.

“Hey! You’re not supposed to-“ Came the cry of a male Khajjit, the lion of the house.

Yet in one swift turn, Walden’s dagger would seemingly glide into his hand, and with a swift spin, the dagger found itself planted squarely in the throat of the giant pussy. Walden had a mask of nothing but cold, calculating, brutality. As if he was disconnected from his actions, and was capable of anything in the name of the Dominion. He knew he would feel bad for these later, killing innocents, abducting babies, yet he had to believe it was for the good of the Realm. He had no other choice.

Several Renshi stepped inside, and quickly found the cub they searched for, the mother made weak attempts to stop them, but she was so weak and tired that she wasn’t a serious issue. Walden decided to leave her alive, so that someone may take care of the remaining cubs.

’I may not be Divine, but I’m no Daedra.’ Walden thought stepping outside the house with his objective and men. They would walk briskly down the street, yet as they were about to turn, Walden saw several Khajiit guard go into the apparently burglarized shack. It wouldn’t be long at all until the entirety of Elsweyr knew what had happened.
They took twisting and confusing alleys through the city, constantly heading East, further out from the slums and closer to the docks and market. Yet as they exited the slums into the relative safety of the market, he found the ship several hundred feet away in the docks, anchor already hoisted and ready to set sail. Approaching this escape ship back home, he more heard than saw a group of Khajiit guard step out from behind them in a alley way.

“Hey, you! What’s in your arms?” Called one of the four Khajiit.

Sweating slightly, the young Altmer carrying the mane looked petrified, as if he had already been caught and sentenced to Death. The young Renshi and Walden locked eyes, and knew what to do. The boy took off towards the ship, while Walden turned around and threw his dagger in one swift throw. It landed in the eye socket of a Khajiit, and he dropped to the wooden dock immediately.

“Run!” Yelled Walden, causing the two groups to leap into action. The Renshi would sprint down the docks towards the ship, with the guards in hot pursuit. Walden was glad they had a mixed-race unit as well as commoner’s rags. The Southern Khajiit would have no idea who they were.

Yet as they reached the ship and leapt aboard, the Khajiit did manage to tackle and apprehend one of the fleeing Renshi, taking him into custody. It was a young Bosmer that they caught, and he fought wildly to free himself from their grip and somehow make it to the ship with his brothers. Several other Renshi prepared to go back for him, and Walden had the most brilliant idea of his life.

“Fuck the Legate! We need to go! NOW!” Walden screamed, pushing back the Renshi as the boat took off into the night. Turning back, he found the young Bosmer had given up hope for life. Though the Khajiit had managed to stop him from escaping, they couldn’t stop him from taking his own dagger, and slitting his throat with it before them, dying on the docks as well.

The Mane was abducted and the Southern Khajiit would think that the North and the Empire had done it. Not a bad night after all.
Lord Regent Orthos of the Royal Fleet
24th of Midyear
Alinor, Summerset Isles, Capital of the Dominion

Five shady looking Altmer knelt before the Throne of Summer, with the Lord Regent placed comfortably atop it. He looked serious and cold, like usual. The people missed the charm and youth of Aelid, not this staunch formality that Orthos brought, even if it was familiar.

“You lot are some of the most despicable, cunning, and slippery mer I have ever had the displeasure of knowing in all my days. Combined, you lot have more spies in the Isles than anyone else alive.” Orthos cleared his throat, almost as if in preparation for what he was about to say.

“I’m afraid it has come to my attention that this Dominion will never survive without an Intelligence Agency to coordinate both our strikes and resources. You five will be the Founding Fathers of the Order of Whispers. Have you chosen a Grand Whisper? “ Orthos eyed the kneeling men, waiting for one to take his place.

“I shall be he. My name is Kalanar, Lord Regent.” Spoke a younger looking elf, standing before him. He had devious and cunning eyes, with a subtle creep about him that reminded Orthos of those with ulterior motives. He was perfect.

“Grand Whisper Kalanar, I would have you begin establishing your Headquarters immediately, as well as establishing contacts throughout Tamriel.” Orthos said sternly, before turning to sit down on the Summer Throne.
When he had, the newly found Whispers were gone.

Actions:
-Newborn Mane kidnapped by Renshi agents, and then framed on the Empire!
-Order of Whispers is founded on the Isles.

Skirmish in Stros M'kai Final
5th of Midyear, 4E 205
Hircine's Summoning Day

The fire atronach reared up to its full height, towering over the redguard, who used the moment to rush ahead and sting it with Coldfang before running back the other way as the great arms of fire flashed into powerful swipes. Thinking pursuit imminent, Kiania cut to the side and dived headlong into a roll, turning halfway into the circuit in case she had to continue right over the edge of the building.

The atronach, though, didn't pursue. Instead it roared off the other way, burning a line over the fornt edge of the building, then down into the street where it left a scarred trail back to the house from which it had emerged.

Soldiers patrolled the streets of the port town as the ruin of the previous skirmish was swept away slowly. Kiania sat back resting on an overturned box as she took the chance to catch her breath. The sound of approaching footsteps drew her attention to Dorio as he walked up with a smile on his lips and a water skin in each hand. He reached her and stepped over an overturned water barrel before sitting on it; offer her a water skin as he did.

Thirsty as she was, not to mention hot (fighting fire elemental's will do that to you after all), she took it gratefully. She was already bringing it to her lips as Dorio started to speak. "Looks like we got all of them, or most of them anyway, the rest of the ragun is already on its way."

She eyed him for a while then responded curtly. "Thanks."

Dorio mocked innocence as he put on a look of confusion. "For what?"

"For helping with the atronach of course. I doubt that dagger found its way into that mages back on its own."

Dorio only shrugged. "You'd do the same for me."

It wasn't long before their scout parties’ leader returned to the square where Kiania, Dorio, and a few others who had been lightly wounded rested.

"Well you won’t believe this but it turns out these weren't Thalmor spies, at least, not working for the Dominion directly. But happen to be breton mages working for a certain lord Dupont; a Pirate Lord of some renown." He said looking rather pleased with himself. It seemed he had rather enjoyed beating the information out of the man. "With any luck, we might be able to squeeze out where these weasels have their lair..."

Valenwood Coastline
24th of Midyear, 4E 205

"Hmm, I don't like it, this changing of the meeting place especially." Khasta voiced.

Temijen only shrugged as two squires helped pull on an ivory colored breastplate, completing a suit of pure ivory white. The suit was in truth simply a dyed set of ebony armor. "I expected as much, there is hardly much trust between our two people."

"For good reason." Khasta went on with a shake of his head. "Hence I'll say it again. This feels like a bad idea."

"Perhaps it may feel so, but we cannot pass up this opportunity, besides the Bosmer may prove an asset if we play our cards right, and make no mistake Khasta, I do plan to play my hand if I must."

"Do you think they will really go along with your proposal?" Khasta said after a moment’s pause.

Temijen tightened the cords of his gauntlet as he responded. "We will see, but yes, I think they will. They hardly want a war, especially so soon after expelling the Thalmor from their lands. They can only benefit, that is if their Keeper can see what his people stand to gain." As he spoke he began to walk out of the tent they had met in as Temijen prepared for the meeting ahead. Temijen had forgone a helmet, after all, gods willing, he was hardly marching to a battlefield.

"So have you chosen your five? I assume I'm among them?" Khasta asked as he kept pace with Temijen.

"Of course, without your annoying pessimist nature, how could I dream of negotiating anything successfully." He gave Khasta a side long smile, and then added. "But yes, Varnklith for one, Khaeem as well, Dorikwon and, Karlan-if we can keep him from trying to kill any of them as soon as we meet."

Khasta shook his head at that and grinned. Karlan was known for his...dislike of elven kind in general. "I'm sure he will be on his best behavior."

Reaching his horse, a dark grey mare of formidable height of 18 hands, he mounted it with practiced ease despite being adorned in full plate mail. It didn't take long before the rest of the party assembled. A messenger already sent to the Keeper to inform them of the agreement to the proposal of a neutral meeting ground, adding that no soldiers of either side would be allowed within one kilometer of the meeting place.

King Orgnum of Pyandonea
13th of Midyear
Abbarbas

"You know they won't be vampires, Irweni, so don't press the matter. Tamriel never got over its prejudices against the condition, and regulates the Sanguine to evil roles. We'll enlighten them in time, by the blade or the fang. Send the messengers to the dominant powers. No doubt the Dominion is still prowling the waters, and seeing their boats again would lighten my mood. Old memories seem the best. Send a messenger to Alinor to delivery this note to whomever heads whatever edition of the Dominion they are on at this point, and to appraise their status. Someone you trust. Send out raids to the Valenwood coast as well, and scouts to Elsweyr. They're right above us, you know!"

Irweni knodded silently, and stepped out of the balcony Orgnum was standing on. He wistfully leaned over a rail and started into a laugh. "Wouldn't want to die now, would I?"

And so a paleskinned, blank eyed, Maormer launched on a faster cruiser towards the Summerset Isle while reconnaissance units sailed to the two provinces to the north. They hoped to return with news of the state of the world, and likely ports for landings. In due time, in due time. They had waited an entire era to return, and patience was ever so present among their virtues.

Meanwhile, Orgnum's second visitor came to him. Aayandorin stepped inside to give his progress report. "Lord, we have taken steps to begin making the giant serpents suitable for land. My priests will find a way!" He bowed his head respectfully while Orgnum turned around.

"I should hope so," the wizard commented, "for there is much faith in your order, and with faith comes responsibility." King Orgnum has ruled over these people for far longer than many others had ever dreamed to. He knew which words begot what results, though he did like to play with his words. "Besides," he continued, "How else would they eat the trees, hmm? Think of the trees."

"Th- The trees, Lord?"

"Valenwood, of course! Take the trees, and you take the Bosmer."

"Of course, Lord. Yes, we'll keep the forest in mind."

"Good, Aayandorin. I have faith you will not let me down."

At this, the High Priest raised his head with conviction. "No I will not, Lord."

The High Priest nearly rushed back to his temple, and bent his brow over mystic books and rituals. There was an answer, a hint, something, here. He would find it or he would make it himself. The other priests were in their studies and experiments already. Aayandorin continued running his eyes over page after page, his mind playing with possibilities.
At last, the Admiral of Orgnum's navy reported to his office. Uldindol was a navy man through and through. He'd pioneered some great designs, and been with Orgnum for a reasonable amount of time considering the wizard's life span. He wasn't a man of many words, preferring to only say what was necessary. His gloves creaked slightly before he spoke, like the always did. A slight tightening of the fists. His report was short, as it always was with High Admiral Uldindol. It began and ended with one word.

"Twelve."

Uldindol began to step out before stopping at the motion of Orgnum.

"Make sure we have a diplomatic corvette two days south of Sunhold, escorted of course, two days south of Sunhold."

Orgnum contemplated the report. Twelve ships. It certainly wasn't thirty, but it wasn't six or ten. No, twelve was decidedly twelve. And he had twelve.
Actions!
Send messanger with note to Alinor.
Send three scouting parties to Elsweyr and three combat detachments to Valenwood. In Valenwood, focus on eliminating all naval ships in the region. For Elsweyr, focus on small raids and reconnaissance before returning home.
Research way to summon/breed giant land serpents.
Carriers commissioned!

"Looks like we got all of them, or most of them anyway, the rest of the ragun is already on its way." She eyed him for a while then responded curtly. "Thanks." Dorio mocked innocence as he put on a look of confusion. "For what?" "For helping with the atronach of course. I doubt that dagger found its way into that mages back on its own." Dorio only shrugged. "You'd do the same for me."It wasn't long before their scout parties’ leader returned to the square where Kiania, Dorio, and a few others who had been lightly wounded rested. "With any luck, we might be able to squeeze out where these weasels have their lair..." "Hmm, I don't like it, this changing of the meeting place especially." Khasta voiced. Temijen only shrugged as two squires helped pull on an ivory colored breastplate, completing a suit of pure ivory white. The suit was in truth simply a dyed set of ebony armor. "I expected as much, there is hardly much trust between our two people." "For good reason." Khasta went on with a shake of his head. "Hence I'll say it again. This feels like a bad idea.""Perhaps it may feel so, but we cannot pass up this opportunity, besides the Bosmer may prove an asset if we play our cards right, and make no mistake Khasta, I do plan to play my hand if I must." "Do you think they will really go along with your proposal?" Khasta said after a moment’s pause.Temijen tightened the cords of his gauntlet as he responded. I assume I'm among them?" Khasta asked as he kept pace with Temijen."Of course, without your annoying pessimist nature, how could I dream of negotiating anything successfully." He gave Khasta a side long smile, and then added. "But yes, Varnklith for one, Khaeem as well, Dorikwon and, Karlan-if we can keep him from trying to kill any of them as soon as we meet." Khasta shook his head at that and grinned. Karlan was known for his...dislike of elven kind in general. "I'm sure he will be on his best behavior."Reaching his horse, a dark grey mare of formidable height of 18 hands, he mounted it with practiced ease despite being adorned in full plate mail. It didn't take long before the rest of the party assembled. A messenger already sent to the Keeper to inform them of the agreement to the proposal of a neutral meeting ground, adding that no soldiers of either side would be allowed within one kilometer of the meeting place.

the keeper waited until one his brothers gave him the returned letter of agreement to the meeting. he made sure to rip the letter so nobody would trace it back. once he had his fur armor and bow in his possession he gathered his 5 best hunters to follow him making sure that my successor had instructions in case something were to happen to me as she hid in the migrating tree. me and my hunters jumped through the trees waiting for the hammerfell guards to come to the woods. although his bosmer brothers weren't all their he had their best hunters and he knew the guardians of the forest would protect them if something were to go wrong. He knew that they wanted to propose a deal but the keeper wasn't going to let them take over his land or hurt his people. he would first try to propose a trade solution so both parties would be happy but the keeper wasn't about to crawl on his knees and beg for forgiveness for what the last supposed king did for attack their countries because the will of the king was not one of the people and was being controlled by a deadra to make war it took much longer before any of the bosmer agreed to him being a representative of their people to begin with and he wasn't going to let a war bring more destruction to these beautiful lands

Valenwood Coastline
24th of Midyear, 4E 205

As the redguard entourage neared the site of the meeting place, they came upon a large oval shaped glade. It was a rather beautiful spot all things considered. Butterflies of every color fluttered about in the calm winds. The smell of salt was heavy in the wind Temijen noted as the came to a stop at the edge of the clearing. The sun was still high in the sky, but a group of clouds currently hid its face, giving the area a warm air to it that was quite refreshing. The sound of bird calls and insects buzzing marked the majority of the background noise, added with just a few rays of light hitting the colorful collection of flowers before them, painted quite the serene picture.

Temijen caught the faintest whisper of movement, and knew instantly he and his group were no longer alone. A moment of worry crossed his mind, that the Bosmer would not honor the agreement, after all they had already proven to be turncoats to their former long trusted allies in the Dominion. He buried such fears quickly however, knowing not even the bosmer would me mad enough to start a war without negotiating first.

Temijen raised a hand to his party to hold position, before riding ahead slowly until he was just 10 feet from the Keeper, he then cleared his throat and began. "Honored Keeper of Valenwood, it is good we finally meet in person. I felt it was prudent we have this discussion face to face rather than by proxy. I'm sure you understand."

He paused for a moment before continuing, a welcoming smile on his lips. "But let us get to the issue at hand shall we? During the invasion of Hammerfell by the Aldmeri Dominion, a invasion force your people played a large role in, your allied armies spread terror and death throughout all of southern Hammerfell. My people, being the proud warriors we are, have since cried out for retribution. However, both our people have long since suffered under the curse of war, thus I offer you a proposal. With your recent victory over the altmer your people are now free, but for how long? Surely you know they will return, and with a vengeance at your recent betrayal. The Dominion have a formidable navy, among the strongest in Tamriel. While your own realm is void of any real fleet of any kind at all, thus defenseless when they reappear. Perhaps you will be able to defend the heart of your realm, but you coast and borders shall surely burn. Thus my offer will deal with two woes in one simple agreement. Hammerfell, and Hammerfell alone, possess the manpower and naval strength to defend you shores, Keeper."

"Once more, we will offer you our protection in the form of a defensive trading pact. If the bosmer agree to allow Hammerfell soldiers and ships to garrison in Valenwood coastal cities. We will also offer to build, with oversight of your people, two new coastal cities in northern Valenwood. Should you agree to the terms to cede your coastal territories, a new age of prosperity can only follow. Our trading vessels will open up the entirety of Tamriel to Bosmer merchants. We will use overland wood to construct our fleets and these new settlements, and the bosmer may continue to live as they have always lived, their culture and forest will remain untouched and unsoiled, we ask only that merchants who trade within these port cities pay a small tax, which will go to supporting the fleet that protects them and their goods, Yokudan law will rule within these trade cities, but your people will have full freedoms as they would elsewhere in Valenwood. In return the Bosmer must agree to never again side with the Dominion, or fight under their banner ever again."

After a short pause Temijen continued his tone easy and friendly. "I offer you, Keeper of Valenwood, the chance to reveal the honor of your people, and to rebuild what war has ravaged and destroyed. Lumber, the bosmer's most valued commodity, will be open to you from provinces rich in it, allowing you to rebuild without harming your forest. Think on my offer now, know that under it you not only continue to up hold you Green pact, but also are given the chance to truly prosper."

Temijen waited for the Keepers response; behind him his companions watched the landscape around with uneasy eyes. At least the forest was not as thick here as the heart of Valenwood.

the keeper had to admit it was a good deal and they were clever he looked around seeing the large trees, the beautiful flowers that bloomed around him, and the colorful butterflies that flew around them. the keeper walked away and to them he looked like he was walking away but in reality he walked to a tree and simply touched it to think. on what he should do and what to agree to the spriggans didn't approve but they wouldn't hate the idea if it meant that the forest would be protected as a whole. so long as they didn't destroy the trees they would be able to farm in their territories. After a few minutes the keeper nodded and walked back to his group and he faced the man offering the deal and he finally spoke "I can agree to the terms, as long as we are clear that you do not use our trees for your construction. You are allowed to farm in your costal cities under our supervision we will give you the land you seek for the cities. we will also offer you a supply of meat although if you go into the forest yourself without a bosmer escort you will not be protected from the spiggans that watch over the forest. If you can garuntee that you will keep the coast safe then have a deal." he said as he walked a few steps from his group to between both groups with his hand raised for a handshake, if they both came to the center between them then it would show their agreement would be on equal terms

Temijen looked down at the Keepers raised hand and smiled as he leaned down and took it firmly with his own. "Very well then, it is agreed. My people shall keep to the coastal cities and shall not trespass or harm the forest of Valenwood. Indeed, it would grieve me to see such beauty burned and turned to ruin, believe it or not." With that Temijen found he felt he would be saddened to bring destruction to such an untouched garden of Tamriel. It was so unlike the lifeless and often harsh realm of Hammerfell, though the Alik'r desert held its own beauty to be sure.

Rising again he continued with a pleased tone. "I hope this to be a new era of peace and prosperity to both our respective people. In the last I would also ask that we have access to the highways built by the Imperials so long ago and recently widened by the Dominion. In this way should we need to cross any distance through Valenwood due to whatever emergency, we need not even take one step within your forest to do so. As well, would you allow it, we can offer to further repair and maintain these roads, and increasing inland trade to new heights should you will it."

"Beyond that, feel free to send whatever representative you wish to oversee the construction of these new ports, the first of them we shall name Valenfell, as a show of our newfound friendship. The second I shall offer you to name, as a kind of gift if you will, something your people will find pleasing and familiar so that they may feel as welcomed within their gates as they would in any other city of your fair province."

You will be asked to use those roads in case of emergency. Although we may be traders the less people that use those roads the better. I can only hope that we may return the favor for this someday. For now I will send a clan leader from the north as my representative with the other city I myself well oversee it. On this day let it be recorded that we find peace for both our people" the keeper said giving a small bow of respect to him "I can only hope you keep your promise of protection otherwise their won't be any cities here" he said sounding regretful that if they couldn't hold up their end if the deal then neither could the bosmer

Lord Regent of the Aldmeri Dominion Orthos
25th of Midyear
Alinor, Capital of the Dominion

Orthos could hardly believe the reports coming in from all over Summerset, nor the scroll he held in his hand. It did not hold the words of neither a rival nor him nor had his own father ever seen. Yet it was Orthos’ grandfather who had been a mere sailor and a lad when the known last battle with the Sea Elves had occurred. It was only due to the might of the Empire and the Dominion, as well as a Storm to beat them back. Orthos knew that Alinor was truly in danger now, should the Maormer wish it.
The Lord Regent’s thoughts were disrupted when a Altmer seemed to near materialize in the Throne Room, bowing before Orthos.

“My Regent, I’m afraid we have terrible reports from Valenwood. Some of the local Bosmer population still loyal to the Dominion says that they plan to sell their coasts to the Redguard for protection from our Wrath.”

Orthos was numb and distracted from this recent letter. He could barely register the words of the Whisper who knelt before him. Yet he did note some dim pride that the Order of Whispers was already hard at work, and seemed to have already infiltrated Valenwood as far as news of the region went.

“The Redguard? They would surely slaughter us all, in retaliation for the invasion of Hammerfell! No, The Dominion simply cannot tolerate such a volatile nation so close to our own islands. I must assemble the Royal Fleet.I thank you for your information, Whisper.” He said, before nodding that the Whisper may leave.

Instead, the Whisper stood, seeming amazed.
“Would you go to war with them, my Regent?”

“Yes, I will set sail immediately and sink and Redguard ship who approaches the Coast of Valenwood. Would you go and deliver these Orders to the Sailors and Dominion troops? As well as give this scroll to the Arch-Mage, and tell him to send it to Aelid. ” Orthos asked the Whisper. The boy nodded, and left in a hurry.

It was now several Thalmor officials came, seeming to brim with anger and fury.

“Lord Regent! I heard you are assembling the Royal Fleet? Go! Have you not heard of the return of the Maormer? We must return them to their Island of Exile and show them the true descendants of the Aldmer once and for all!”

“No, Justicar Revin. I shall sail for Valenwood, to Embargo it’s seas and cut it off from the Redguard who would establish a forward base of assault there.”

“Take the Royal Fleet to blockade Valenwood? The damned Bosmer who would have our heads on pikes? Are you mad? This is the time for defense, and stopping these Sea Elves! You must listen to reason, Lord Admiral!”

Orthos smiled and began walk, making his way out from the Throne Room. The Thalmor followed him, curious as to where he was going. As he stepped lightly on each glass step of the stairs leading outside into the cool summer breeze, Orthos replied;

“First and forestmost, If the Sea Elves would come to Alinor and raze it, I’m afraid there is nothing we can do about it, and I mean nothing, Justicar. I have been a Admiral near all my life, and I assure you we alone cannot step their Navy. Nonetheless, I shall leave a reserve force of 1/3 of the Fleet. I shall take two hundred ships and blockade this land from the Redguards.”

The Thalmor were in a panic as he approached the docks, the vast armada of ships in harbor bobbing lightly at sea. Quickly the Justicar asked;
“What of the Regency? Who would fill it while you are gone? Someone must sit the Summer Throne!” The Justicar shrieked as Orthos would board the Flag Ship of the Dominion, The Aldmeris.

“Give it to Lord General Walden Estermont of the Renshi, he will hold this place together until the return of Aelid.” Orthos spoke, catching sight of many Sailors seeming to pour out of their barracks, quickly preparing the ships.

“To a Imperial Man?! Surely you jest! The Thalmor will rebel before such a lowly and treasonous act is committed!” The Justicar assured him, with nods of affirmation from the other Thalmor Officers around him.

“Fine! Give it to the Arch-Mage Nelron of the Society. He is old and wise, his council will be valuable. I will return soon, Justicar.” Without another word, he entered the Captain’s Cabin of the Flag Ship, and disappeared from sight.
Lord General Walden Estermont of the Renshi
24th of Midyear
Alinor, Summerset Isles, Capital of the Dominion.

The Lord General had been back in the Capital of the Dominion only a few hours when he heard whispers of Sea Elves and Red Guard, truly a turbulent time. Yet they handed over the Mane cub to the Thalmor upon return, where he was took to a secluded and hidden holding cell inside. He felt bad for the wee kitten, but he knew that much larger things were at stake than the innocence of a house cat.

When Walden’s small ship had come into bay with the Mane, he had found Lord Admiral Orthos scrambling the fleet, seeming to prepare to take the vast majority of their Navy out into the sea. The older noble had fed and bathed upon return, and was taking a walk through the gardens of Alinor when he heard a familiar voice, the voice of a Justicar Revin.

“The High King Aelid completely failed in keeping the Bosmer with the Dominion, and now he has abandoned us to go make peace and alliances with Lizards in far-away lands, while the Thalmor must do all the real work. It was we who told the Society of the Aldmer ruins near Cloudhaven, and we who orchestrated the kidnapping of the mane!” He said in a dry heat, apparently talking to others around a rose bush near a large oak tree.

“Yes! Now Orthos wants to go sail around making vain attempts at stopping the Redguard from taking Valenwood as their own! The Bosmer don’t want our protection, leave them to their fate!” Came the cry of another frantic zealot, this one seeming older than Justicar Revin.

“The Mists that once hide the Maormer from the world are now gone, and we may exact our Vengeance on their salty hides! Yet Orthos would take the majority of our fleet when it is obvious we are needed here?” Came the coos of a female Thalmor.

Walden crouched down, listening carefully to the words of the dissenters. So this was the true thoughts of the Thalmor. He couldn’t help but feel that these Extremists would need to be dealt with, and soon.

“Do not worry, my friends. The High Justicar Aldra has assured me she already has plans to right these wrongs. All we need is Patience…” Came his final haunting words, as the sun slipped behind the horizon and Walden stumbled backwards in horror, quickly leaving the gardens in a near panic at the deceit within the Dominion.

Actions:
-The Suspected Mane is now captive in the Summerset Isles!
-200 Altmer Ships lead by Lord Admiral Orthos are sent to blockade Valenwood and Hammerfell, cutting them off at the sea.
-Valenwood has been infiltrated by The Order of Whispers.
-The Maormer Letter has been sent to Aelid at Stormhold!
-The Arch-Mage of the Arcane Society is now Lord Regent!
-Thalmor Dissidents are now growing in strength and support with both Aelid gone and Orthos making unpopular decisions and then leaving.

20th Midyear 4E, 205
Abbarbas, Pyandonea

Orgnum tossed a snake from his balcony. pop. He tossed two more. pop. pop. Three! pop. pop. Pop. Giggling, he scrawled down something in a scroll and had it sent to the Satakanimeri Temple. He kept on enchanting the snakes and throwing then over his balcony into the empty courtyard below. Pop. Giggles. pop. . A hum. Pop! More giggles.

After some time of this, he tired and finished writing his discoveries down. He sent a copy to the Temple for them to finish researching, and turned to his courtyard. Orgnum focused his magicka, closing his eyes. He raised his arms and shouted to the heavens a chant he'd been working on for a very, very long time. The clear sky darkened, a cold wind swept through the city, and Orgnum smiled at the first rain droplets meeting his forehead. The Psijics are not the only order who can understand ancient magicks, and Orgnum would be damned if he'd let anyone use that weather trick again.
23rd Midyear, 4E, 295
Pyrrah Bay, Pyandonea

The riders dismounted their serpents at the shore. High Admiral Uldindol was glad he could begin moving his fleet in and out at full speed again now that they had finished. He was speaking to one of their forges-men about an idea.

"The Satak can be used for more than pulling boats, and being ridden. True, we use them defensively and offensively as a last resort, but what if they could safely attack other ships? Outfitting them with rams, for example, would be a great asset."

"Sir, with what will we craft these rams that will be light enough for the serpents to move?"

"Maormite," the Admiral said while tossing a chunk of the substance "is a refined kind of Moonstone with minerals unique to this island. You'll find it much lighter to work with. I expect ten of the serpents will be outfitted within the month, and my riders will begin training operations as soon as they are complete."

With that, the Admiral removed himself and strode into the shipbuilder's office. He stood himself erect and straightened his rich silken uniform, uttering a small cough. The shipbuilder bolted upwards, stammering an apology for not noticing him before.

"I have a proposition for a new project, a new class of ship. It'll require vast amounts of chitin, so I've been saving the idea for when our navy was completed."

"Our chitin, sir, is stocked. We're in no overabundance, but I can stoke up growth anew for a project. What is it?" The shipsman asked, startled at the prospect of there being a new class of ship so recently after the completion of the carriers.

"A harbour."

"Sir, a harb-"

"Do not speak while I am, shipsman. Yes, a harbour. The navy can travel far and wide, but we have only one Pyandonea. If we are to keep its location a privilege we need grounds to meet others, or would you taint this land with outsider's footsteps?" The High Admiral gave a stern look down on the shipbuilder. Truth was, he liked toying with the man.

"No, sir, I never- I'll begin right away. The plans?"

Uldindol handed his designs over and laughed at the balk apparent on the Maormer's face when he saw them. The civilian practically tore himself from the room, such was his hurry.
Khael, Pyandonea

Aayandorin was deep in a four day long ritual with his highest ranking priests. They believed they were close, and pressed on. Delicate script lay before them, soul gems containing the souls of the freakish beats inhabiting the island arranged and coupled with each other, various ingredients distributed according to their design. Before them was the island, precaution dictating it be vacated except for their escape crew.

The scent of magicka filled the nostrils of the Maormer priests, their skins altering hue in response to the differently coloured energy crackling about the room. The Satakanimeri pushed themselves in one final effort, voices raised in unison. Their vision went temporarily dark with exhaustion, and they heard a heavy thud coupled with the crunch of vegetation. A distinct hiss was heard, and the blind priests turned their heads towards the sound. Aayandorin began another spell. This was one all Maormer knew: the one which convinced serpents not to consume them. The other priests joined in, emanating an aura of serpentine magic. Fresh priests rushed to their aid and also to slay the beast should need be. The serpent hissed closer. Aayandorin took the spell into both his hands after downing a magicka potion. Still, the serpent slithered. Practically levitating with energy, Aayandorin let all his power go into a blast of the spell, collapsing onto his knees completely spent. The serpent slithered off into the wilderness, unable to escape the island.

Aayandorin was carried to the nearby island of Mantu to recover. They'd summoned the land beast... now they needed to control and tame it.
Coast south of Southpoint and Greenheart, Valenwood

The battlegroup sent to Valenwood's shores was arriving. Shouts echoed and signals went up, sending the boats into formation. Their mission was to clear the waters and then work their way north. They wouldn't engage Altmer ships unless it was defensively, but they sure wouldn't spare the Altmer if they attacked. After securing the south coast, they would head north close to Woodheart, clear those waters, and then return home. The ocean salt had painted the front of their boats as white as their eyes, contracting with the dark colours of the vessels. Pyandonea's navy had returned, snaking from formation to formation in maneouvers Tamriel had never seen, unseen serpents gliding beneath the waters.

Torval, Elsweyr

Irweni's scouts landed at their designated shores. Garbed in the armours of their homeland they descended upon the city, but with intent to ascertain the state of the world. Causing a local commotion, they learned about the civil war in Elsweyr, Valenwood, and the various other faction's statuses. What was even more interesting is word of the Empire seizing the Mane for themselves. They did not stay long, what with the panic of the city, although they did stuff their pockets with skooma before leaving for home.. and after depositing some of the Sanguine Pens. They'd make themselves scarce shortly.
South of Sunhold, Eltheric Ocean

Kelp gripped the foreign boat as the Maormer had willed them to. It was pushed half a day's journey southwest by unknown forces, the men on it seeing dark shapes in the water. The chitin ship, although similar, bore different banners. Orgnum hailed the ship from afar with a cloud's shade and a tentacle rose from the waters dropping a corked bottle onto the visiting boat's deck. Shattering on impact, the bottle held a note:

Its contents divulged slightly before the King's ship had taken place beside the other ship, the Sea Elf king rang his voice out.

"Greetings, Dunmer. To what honour do I have the privilege of attracting your attention?" He eyed the boat's banners and markings. "Is that the Nerevarine's mark you are bearing?"

General Lagash gro-Nagrum

Lagash surveyed the ramshackle assortment of men before him, alongside his own troops. On the whole, their body types were all roughly the same; they were broad-shouldered and bulky. Most of them looked as though they hadn’t seen a day of true combat in their lives, but that was to be expected. The Skyrim Civil War had ended four years ago, and many of these men were young, but there were the bandits and a few veterans from the Civil War peppered amongst the younger men. Lagash was more than a tad unimpressed with the look of this ramshackle band of brigands and younglings, but for the time being it would have to do.

“Listen up!” He began, “I am Lagash gro-Nagrum, leader of this company of Orcs. I am under direct orders from my benefactor to train and equip you fine sons and daughters of Skyrim to fight for your freedom. You need not ask who I represent, or how I will do such a thing. All you need concern yourself with is taking your people’s future into your own hands, and out of the hands of the foreigner who sits upon the High King of Skyrim’s throne.”

In the back, one of the bandit chief’s came forward, his steel armor glinting in the sunlight of Hammerfell as he approached Lagash, his broad body coming within inches of Lagash, “And what makes you think that we all will bow do-“Lagash clocked the chieftain in the face, putting him on the ground in seconds, “Lesson number one,” he said, “do not disobey a superior.”

The Favor of Malacath, Part I

Gurzuk gro-Golmur

The Orcish armor bound to Gurzuk’s body shined from the degree of polishing and care that had been put into maintaining it. It was a sign of his respect, being that his armor was well-maintained, yet still showed signs of use during the incessant skirmishes with bandit groups and other marauders that characterized the Hammerfell-Skyrim border. He marched alongside his second, Gol gra-Nurzug, his hammer strapped to his back. The full weight of their boots clomped up the stone steps to the King’s Hall, the two of them anxiously awaiting the audience with the king.

“What do you think it is?” Gol asked as she strolled alongside Gurzuk, but Gurzuk didn’t respond, he was a tad bit anxious at the thought of going not only before the King, but also the entirety of the Council of Orsinium. Some of the most powerful people in Orsinium would be there, all of them staring right at him. As they approached the doors of the King’s Hall, the guards opened them and they entered the Council sitting at their chairs, the king upon his throne. Burkash grinned at the sight of Gurzuk and Gol, inspecting the two warriors of Orsinium for a long while before speaking, “Greetings, Gurzuk and Gol. I have a…sensitive task for the both of you. Well, less sensitive and more vital.” The two of them looked to each other and then back to Burkash, Gurzuk speaking first, and “What is it you require, Lord?”

“I want you to find the hammer Volendrung and bring it here, to Orsinium.”

Gurzuk looked more than a little taken aback by the task at hand. The hammer Volendrung, practically the symbol of Malacath’s favor…in Orsinium. Gurzuk stammered as he began to speak, “M-My King! You wish for us to seek out…Volendrung?” Burkash nodded and looked around the council, looking at the lot of them, “Of course. You are one of our more esteemed warriors, therefore, I suggest you get a move on. Gather a group, and head for Largashbur, the last known location of the hammer.” Gurzuk kneeled before Burkash’s throne alongside Gol, and marched out into the open air of Orsinium, “Well then, Gol, let’s get moving. We’ve got a team to build.”
