And according to the highly illegal and ill-advised salarian research (that Jaerdi has obviously been involved in) Batarian babies do make excellent starship fuel.

I've been wondering... is 'Jaerdi' his given-name? If so, shouldn't his name be 'Tal Jaerdi'? Bel Anoleis' given-name is the latter, the former ('Bel') being his clan. So if 'Tal' is Jaerdi's clan, shouldn't it go before his given-name? Or can Salarians choose the order? I ask mostly because, if I ever get to join, I intend to do so as a Salarian, so I want to know how their names work, and maybe you know something I don't.

I gave his full name in the correct order (Rannadril Ghan Swa Fulsoom Cetoo Tal Jaerdi).

But he most often works for people who use the form [given name] [family/clan name] and so usually introduces himself (and thinks of himself) under that order.

In fact, it seems Salarians generally only introduce themselves with their given name, often not telling anyone any of the rest, not even their clan name. For formality, I think Mr. [given name] would be just fine, as if one is bothering to include Tal in a formal adress one may as well use the whole lot. To a Salarian, all the extra parts of their name are only really important to other Salarians for the purpose of determining genetic stock.

Kesik should assume that, because she was Alliance, she must have eaten some babies at some point.

But can Four-Eyes see what Systems Alliance Marines prefer the taste of Baby Toast Crunch?

Looks like my post will have to wait until Sunday. Social butterfly and all that (it's the weekend) -- and on top of that, the Netherlands-Costa Rica game is slated to go down Saturday night.

Sunday will be my day as well. I've got a few extra hours tomorrow in the form of the kids wanting the carnival :)

Oh yeah, if you guys feel inclined, feel free to discuss upcoming missions and the various tasks/ branches available to figure out where your character will be going and if you want to buddy up with anybody. No sense in fumbling around in the IC if we don't have to, ja?

I'm thinking Jaerdi would probably want to help out on the tech side of things, more along the lines of escorting the real techies and being their muscle. He's not a fan of pitched battles like the Hangar will inevitably be.

Alternatively, he could perhaps set up for some sniping in the Hangar if no techies need any help.

I think Valok will be better suited as one of the exchangers. With his wrist blades he could take one or two guards by surprise.

Kali would definitely be one of the 'pure' techies this early on, considering her lack of real combat experience and uncertainty over this venture. Don't know if she'd need accompaniment though - depends on what job she's doing, and that will depend on what everyone else feels their character would be best doing.

Kosso works best in small groups, particularly groups of two, and excels specifically at protecting other people while they do more complicated things (turns out bodyguard training comes in handy). That said, he can pretty much go anywhere: escorting one of the techies, exchanging Kesik, or helping out in a firefight. There's a decent chance he'll probably just stick with Tanya anyway, but it's all up in the air as far as I'm concerned.

I think that, with her experience capturing hostile ships, Saseen would do best with the boarding party.

Aran is obviously one of the techies and could use an escort wherever he ends up going.

Loral has some basic combat training that he remembers, but he wouldn't fair as well in a firefight as any of the numerous guys and gals who actually have that kind of experience.

So, I'll just have Loral be a techie as well, maybe help out Kali because I'm positive Aran won't need assistance.

Given his service history, I'd see Iosif fitting well into the role of the pilot or acting as added support in a (stolen?) gunship raining hell down upon anyone unfortunate enough to make the mistake of screwing with the team, or even acting as a distraction whilst the main crew infiltrate a secured setup. That said, he's not exactly a pushover - he'd be more than capable of fighting alongside the others when the pyjak dung hits the fan.

No gunships or anything at this point; it's an enclosed hanger, after all, and it's a spaceport, so a terrestial support ship would make no sense to be present.

I am sorry for shattering you dreams, Retro Lego spaceman.
