And I'm done for the most part. Let me know what you think...

Real Name: Gabriel W. Tennyson

Date of Birth: April 19th // Aries

Myer-Briggs Indicator: ENFP

Height: 5'8" (~1.73m)

Weight: 135 lbs (61.23 kg)

Alias: Red Hawk

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Weapon(s): Short Sword

Arcana: The Sun

Persona: Apollo
Apollo, named after the Greek God of the Sun, is naturally heavily inclined to Fire and Light abilities. As such, he's strong against Fire, Electric, Light, and Nuclear, but is weak to Water, Ice, and Dark.

Apollo starts out with the following abilities:
  1. Agi - Low Fire damage to one enemy.

  2. Patra - Cures one ally of Sleep and Illusion.

  3. Flame Cut - Deals low Flame+Physical (cut) damage to one enemy.

  4. Maragi - Deals low Fire damage to a group of enemies.

Mask: Basically a white and gold sentai show mask, taken from his favorite show. It functions as a full-head helmet to better conceal his identity.

Attire: Generally casual, but with a preference for reds, golds, and whites. His daily clothes are more on the blue-jeans and black T-Shirts side.

Occupation: High School Student at (Enter High School Name), though he has a part time job as a clerk at the local supermarket.

Personality: Gabriel is a boy in the wrong century. Many who know him would say it would have suited him better to have been a knight in the Middle Ages. He is brave, charismatic, polite, and very friendly, willing to help others out. He was a bit of a bully fighter in his childhood, and has gotten into a lot of fights trying to help others (admittedly, he lost quite a few of those fights, but bullies have learned it's just easier to avoid fighting him).

He's also a very helpful young man with a strong sense of responsibility. Since his father died when he was a boy, he has since tried to become the man of the house, working a part-time job to help his mother support their family.

Weaknesses/Fears:

Special Abilities / Traits / Attributes / Quirks:
  • Gabriel worked several times at the Renaissance Faire at a neighboring town, something that has helped him learn basic swordplay from the performers there.

  • Has a preference for hot or spicy foods.

  • Is something of an avid fantasy fan.

  • Due to having to cook for himself and his sister when his mother is at work, Gabriel is a fairly accomplished cook.

Other:
  • His father died in the 2003 Gulf War, so it's pretty much down to him, his mother Ursula, and his 11 year-old sister, Isabelle.

Alright a few things:

@Polaris: How is your member a programmer from the Kirijo Group if they're in the US and still underaged? Secondly, what "certain highschool" does your character attend?

@Drakeonis: Sure, Strength is now reserved for you!

@Shadowsaint: It looks great. Just let me know when you're done, otherwise, you're accepted!

Yep, that does the trick. Thanks, Drakeonis.

Anyways, we might want to check how many high schools there are in Bedford, since there seems to be at least three high schoolers. Are they all in the same school? Is the town big enough for each one to be in a separate school?

The Persona games generally worked better by having the protagonist and his crew all from one school, more or less, so as to make it easier to work together. Not sure if the same dynamic would work here.

Bedford is a fictional town. You guys are free to offer up suggestions involving town sizes and potential high-schools. I was considering making it fairly small, one of those towns where you'd know everyone. But whatever you guys think would work.

I'm much more for the Roleplayers telling the story than the GM, after all.

Okay, then let me suggest a couple places :D

Lewis Grange Public High School (named after one of the town founders) - has its own football team (*insert suitable team name/mascot here*) and stadium built by town donations.

SunMart (a chain store franchise operating in California and the Four Corner States)

A few other suggestions, though they're still up to group consensus and GM veto:

An alternative medicine or New Age mysticism shop. Yes, Colorado is by and large a 'red' state with an emphasis on Christian upbringing and American tradition, but you can't deny it would fit the general tone of the story.
An abandoned Church or equivalent temple for more religious matters.

Persona dungeons tend to manifestations of the subconscious or general culture. In Persona 3, they only show up in the "Dark Hour" at midnight. In Persona 4, you have to enter the TV. Here, I'm thinking they appear at midnight.

As for dungeons, well, it depends on general American pop culture. We see steam baths among other things in the Persona series, so it's probably malls, sports stadiums, TV sets... who knows, we might even get an evil(ler) Walter White as a boss

I like your description of the town. You're right, a medicine or New Age mysticism shop would work very well with the overall idea, so that's fine with me. As for political geographically, I also agree with a church, as it would be common in a state like Colorado. As for the high school, the idea is absolutely fine with me, but I'd suggest getting permission from the other high schoolers just to avoid confusion.

As for the dungeon. . I have absolutely no idea, but I was going off of the earlier Persona games with the idea of enemies being all over the town. It would generally last somewhere between 1 to 4 AM. I was thinking the idea that the closer we approach sunrise, the weaker the Shadows become. Ideas?

Well, we just need our quota of "mystic and mysterious" and "hangouts for adults and teens". So probably an antiques store/rare books store for additional advice by mysterious old folk. Any word if we'll be seeing Igor around? :p

As for the school; well, that was a suggestion. Gabriel would be going to a public school, since he's not likely to attend a posh one. Not that there'd be one in a remote town like Bedford.

Even in a small town like Bedford, there'll possibly be something like six to a dozen high schools, depending on the population and public transportation.

One question that comes to mind regarding Bedford; what is the local industry? Colorado has a lot of agriculture, used to have quite the mining industry, and has quite a few military facilities sprinkled throughout the state, so it's possible to have some heavy industry (though not on the scale of California, the Rust Belt, or Texas, for example).

As for the Shadows/Nightmares; the reason they grow weaker is because as the sun rises, the connection between our world and theirs grows weaker, so they begin to fade at those hours. It doesn't matter much to me personally, since it would give the Persona users and excuse to pack up and go home for some sleep. However, this does bring up an extra point; if the connection between our world and the Nightmare world grows weaker, then any humans still in the other world are trapped - with all the unpleasant implications thereof. It would become a race against time to save those caught on the other side before the rise of dawn.

how about if people who are out after hours get trapped on the other side, the persona users can find a way to the other world
