Celes saw the attack, and how that little spider was in the fight. She looked at it, then moved away, dodging a bite from one of the spiders. She then concentrates on her water magic, and then shoots it upwards, going and shooting it right in the middle of the group, aiming to split them all up with this. If fire would react like this, maybe water might work. Maybe washing them away might actually be useful here, but not by striking them all at the same time, but more like striking them to split them all up, to make it easier for the group to take care of them one at a time quickly. At least she hoped that would work... it was just a theory. Also, why else would they bring their young in battle here. They were all huddled up to protect that thing. So what would happen if they suddenly were to split up.
"I hope this works... if fire would react like that...wait... it did burn them when they were at the portal... so...." she says, thinking. Maybe they had something different here.

"Mine cart track?" Connor asked, thinking about it. A mine cart track would certainly work. It would be large enough to house a golem of his size, or lower, and the already in-set track would allow for more ease of transportation. There may even be a inset lighting system, if they were lucky, which would quickly clear up the light problem. "A mine cart track would work for our needs. Let's go ahead and find it, quick, though. I don't wanna be out in the open when it gets dark. We're going to be eaten or killed out in the dark."

A brief, blue light appeared for a moment, gently glowing among the pine trees. It made quite the light, seemingly shining above the heavy shadows of the tall trees. Connor dismissed it. Possibly one of the smaller monsters fighting each other. That seemed to be happening quite a bit. While the forest wasn't heavily populated, it still had a fair amount of creatures that could still do damage if they weren't checked to that they were docile. Connor spotted a dragon flying around in the distance, and hoped that it didn't do much damage to them.

A crack echoed throughout the air, ending the silence and occasional scream of the pine forest. Connor paused, and briefly turned around. Ralph was still flying right around him, and Tony lay on his shoulders. A small, ebony fox stood to the side of him, staring right up at the group. It had rounded, ram's horns, and it occasionally emitted a puff of icy breath alongside with twin growing icicles on it's horns. "Just one of those little things." Connor muttered, returning his attention to walking ahead. "Just keep going, it won't be a problem." He swung the pine tree around, and noticed the dragon seemed to be flying close. He stopped for a moment.

The dragon flew right by him, and his arm swung upward, almost knocking the dragon out of the airspace. His stone fist seemed to do a quite a bit of damage to the side of it's face, knocking off some scales. The dragon veered off, into another direction, snarling and snorting from the force of the blow. It regarded Connor with a sense of hatred and a couple of carefully-picked words before flying off. "Force of habit. Sorry." Connor shrugged, rubbing his fist against his stone chest. "Gotta be careful."

Ohgods this was a really bad idea! Verlassën thought as the colossal golem looked down at her, with a couple of creatures on - and around - it. She breathed in to calm her fraying nerves, before opening her mouth to say hi - and the golem just walked away. Part of Verlassën felt offended at the fact that the golem just walked away. The other part was sighing with relief. Then in a moment of failing bravado, Verlassën trotted after the golem, but soon halted as the golem just... face-rock'd a dragon that was flying past. She looked at the golem, open jawed, before closing her maw and picking up her pace to run alongside the golem, the icicles of her horns melting as she summoned two blue flames to cast a light over them - mainly so that she could see where she was going. "U-uhm, Hi there! I heard you walking and well... I-I was curious! I'm Verlassën, and you are?" She said, trying to spark some sort of conversation.

"Y'know... you really ought to drink that. Assuming we're all in a fantasy world created by me, then that should heal faster than hypothetical nanobots." I said, walking behind Robert and pointing out the thing waving from his hand. And accidentally hinting at what I've done, but that's pretty obscure anyway - it'll probably be considered psychosis, rather than an actual world I accidentally created. "I'm not kidding. You don't want to walk around feeling as if a dentist left his drill inside your mouth." I continued, my voice echoing through the long and rather narrow cave. Until the presence of spiders, indicated through sticks/spider legs tapping on the rock floor.

Oh, those bastards. Thankfully, Sexy (What? Check out his avatar.) Random_Lugia was kind enough to-

Bam. I shouldn't just assume this spider would have the same weakness. I mean, we're not Pokemon for starters, and we definitely did not meet through fighting a pair of buggers - in the roleplay, I tried to eat one of the main characters. "Okay. I'm gonna assume it's one of those things where you have to kill off the weaker ones." I wasn't going to throw myself onto the spiders, in hope I'd eat them and be able to go for the biggest one of them all. Sure, I would be helpful in taking care of them and getting something tasty and... maybe, a bit of something to eat and... er... well, mainly... food, I'm getting a bit hungry...

...

Okay. That was a lie. Apparently, my appetite forced me to slam down one of them. Should've foreseen that through the way I described the spiders. Oh wow. First I love food as a human, now this. "Don't ask! They're not gonna shove me into damn torches again!" I shouted, despite the fact I had lost all form. So, my voice was probably muffled then. I guess, although I could definitely hear it clearly.

I hear Miles say something about drinking the odd beverage that I found off of a golem, and say "What, drink this completely random thing that randomly appeared after I defeated a golem?" I then think it over a bit, and considering the fact that I had no other options, I decided to give it a try. The potion tasted like medicine, but immediately after drinking it, I could feel my wounds healing... how odd. Soon enough, the broken mess that was my jaw was pretty much reshaped, or remade. Wow, that must be some sort of medical wonder, or something! I wonder if it might be possible for us to ever produce these things back on Earth... I think as I notice Miles eating the trio of small spiders. I figured that this might be an opening that I could use against the bigger spider, and I fly up to the thing, and bite it in two, using my newly-repaired jaw. The spider tasted worse than the medicine, and, unlike the golem, its corpse stayed there, about as dead as it could be. "So, onwards?" I ask my team, with oddly green spider blood dripping from my mouth. I then continue walking along the arrows pointing me in this direction and that. Eventually, I come across some sort of crazy, subterranean city. The buildings seemed to be carved out of the cave's walls, and the place was filled with what can only be described as mole people. There were also various types of digging tools and machines lying around, as if all they ever do is dig... of course, I was proven wrong when I saw a mine cart come back up with several chunks of what appeared to be gold, albeit in ore form. What is this place? I ask myself as I start to wander around the place, almost getting lost right off the bat.
[Tony]

That strange, vulpine creature, for some reason, decided to follow Connor, Ralph, and I all the way to the cave. She then introduced herself, and the name sounded like it would be hard for a native English speaker to really pronounce. I then jumped off of Connor's shoulder to land on his knee, and then onto the ground from there in what probably looked like a feat of agility to anyone else. I then said "I think I'll just call you Val. My name's Tony, the big guy over there's Connor, and the bird flying around him is Ralph." I then add "We're kinda trying to start a group that's dedicated to rebuilding society... would you like to join our cause?" I then await Val's response, and notice that she appeared to have some sort of control over both ice and fire... two typically opposing things, and two things that might come in handy.... I mean, who knows, she might just find some sort of attack that combines those two elements for some sort of devastating effect. I notice some water dripping off of her horns, which may indicate that she once had ice there. I then summon a small ball of light, and sort of toss the thing around as I continue to wait for Val's answer to my question... of course, I just realized, the others would have to let her in too, as it really wouldn't do to have someone join if not everyone wants them to. That would only lead to arguments, and might lead to others leaving the group, to possibly even form rival groups, which was something that I'd rather prevent.

Well then - That went rather well. Verlassën nodded to Tony, a smile growing on her face. "Ah, yes. I'd love to - that is if it's okay with your companions?" She said, tilting her head to the side and looking up towards Connor and Ralph. Her purple eyes watched the two curiously, a smile growing on her muzzle as she remembered her two foxes Teal and Russet. When Tony started bouncing the ball of light back and forth, Verlassën couldn't help but follow it with her eyes, her gaze following the orb intently. SHe then shook her head, staking free the last of the water droplets on her horns. "You said you were trying to rebuild society? Sounds like a fairly hard task. Still, I'm up for it if your companions let me join in~" She said, extinguishing the small blue flames that danced around her shoulders and watching Tony curiously.

Elena fallowed Robert, the spiders having gotten washed away from all the water. She breath deeply, thinking, before seeing the mole people.
"Oh.... well, guess we found a organized group of creatures... hope they are not hostile...." she says before thinking a bit. That potion back then actually healed Robert back up like that.... it was like a health potion from a video game... but seriously... was the whole world just transported into a video game world, or was there something else happening. She did not know... but what she knew is that they needed to see whatever was in this place. A portal just does not open up like that for nothing... especially in a place as weird as this.
"Uhm... so, do we risk talking to them, or do we try to go somewhere else? Let's just hope they are not hostile... She looked at the gold, and something inside her made her attracted to it a bit, but she shakes it off quickly. Seriously, what was it with her and sparkly things. It was really annoying.

Unsurprisingly, I didn't exactly felt nourished. I had a feeling engulfing things would be rather effective as we went on, getting past golems and spiders alike without too much of a hitch. I tried rubbing my eyes out of instinct, although that just ended up making half my hand merge together with my temple. At least what could be considered a temple for a dragon... slime hybrid. If an actual hybrid.

"Oh, man... out of everything, you decided to eat that spider. Really?" As ironic as what I just said seemed, I was hungry and it was good for me. Seemed a good enough excuse. Of course, letting Robert answer himself, we continued onwards, with my footsteps not sounding all that different from the dripping in the cave. Ergh. I don't remember this cave being as long as in the roleplay... maybe because we basically fast-traveled, going 'about an hour later.' I thought, grinding my teeth so hard that I lost the hallow space inside my mouth.

Speaking of which, about... 'five seconds later' (I didn't want the same fate befalling the readers), we made it the city near-identical in my roleplay. I didn't realise we had literal moles replacing Excadrills and Drilburs. It was a sea of gold and brown, with the occasional grey being tools and such. Well. At least I have some sort of idea where this is going. I thought as I rubbed my... chin, or whatever. I ended up chasing after Robert after jerking my hand away from my face, since it kept merging together. "Hey, keep it together. You can't go crazy in a world where you're already crazy in real life."

Due to that hypothesis, I predicted this world wasn't based on a frickin' game. Despite the resemblance to my roleplay, and the characters names being similar... oh Jesus. That means someone has to go crazy just to confirm this, and then this would all just be a near-impossible coincidence. Thankfully, (I think) I'm not too far from that.

Tony seemed to already know where they could find a decent cave. According to him, it had a minecart track, and was large enough for Connor to fit into. Ralph flew up above Connor and Tony, keeping his eyes peeled for the minecart, which apparently was south of where they were now. As he scanned the ground below him, he noticed a blue light out of the corner of his eye, which disappeared once he looked over. He decided that it was probably his imagination, and just kept searching for the minecart. Still, he had a feeling that someone was following him.
A dragon flew nearby, and Connor felt the need to swing one of his giant stone fists at him. There was a chance that the dragon could have been an enemy, but he didn't seem to have any harmful intentions. "Hey Connor, could you try not to smash anything that comes our way?" Ralph said. "I mean, if they're about to attack us, go ahead, but that guy there didn't look hostile to me."
A fox-like creature approached them, and Tony got off of Connor's shoulder and climbed down to greet her. He invited her to join their group, and she seemed interested in joining, as long as it was OK with Ralph and Connor. "Of course you can join." Ralph said, flying down and landing beside Tony. "We need all the help we can get." He looked back at Connor, hoping he'd agree as well.

"Ya have to keep on your guard, Ralph." Connor replied, glancing over at his shoulder. The dragon was fading off into the skyline, with new battle scars from Connor's punch. "Anything could look friendly, flying up to us with a big smile on it's face, only to decide it wants to gut you or electrocute you or drown you. You have to be careful with who you trust out here. People are desperate, and they'll feign friendship at any cost for a chance of some supplies."

"Hrmph? Oh, you're sentient." Connor said, regarding the fox with a sense of unease. The small, horned vulpine seemed to have reappeared almost immediately after he said that, which didn't seem to bode well. "Eh.. sure, we need more people." Connor said, looking the fox up and down. It seemed relatively strong, with it's contrasting powers of ice and fire. Maybe it could hold it's own against a couple of weaker things. Maybe a dragon.

"A mining area, huh?" Connor asked, looking it up and over. A rickety mine cart track lead straight into the cavern. The entrance was wide and tall, and he could easily shuffle his way in if he bended his knees and held his head down low. Connor poked his head through to give the cave a good look-over, glancing through the darkened cave. Stalactites hung from the wall in spiraling rock formations, and small creatures huddled together in darker corners, who ran at the sight of the golem.

Connor pulled his head back through to the open forest. "Not many things in there, beside the occasional little thing that I could stomp on." Connor said, shrugging. "No real problem, so we should be able to clear it out real quick. We could probably furnish it up, and as long as there aren't too many tremors, it should hold steady. Once we get support pillars up, and maybe some other safety materials, it should be safe enough for anyone to stay in."

Once she had approval from the other two Verlassën was a lot more relaxed. She sighed in relief before trotting after Connor, when they started talking about support pillars she perked up. "Um, I can help hold things up while you get the pillars" She said, her dark purple eyes locking onto a small creature that dashed away for a moment before turning her attention back to the cave. Old rotting wooden supports held the sides up, but the fox suspected that a decent hit would send he walls caving in. They needed stone or something. Summoning up a single blue flame that hovered above her nose, Verlassën began looking about the cave, her paws making little to no sound as she walked along before coming across a large amount of boulders. "Hey, maybe if we somehow melt these together, we can use them as supports?" She called back, standing next to the rocks.

I only got to wander for a little bit before getting grabbed by something slimy, or, rather, someone. "Huh? Oh, right, sorry about that Miles. I guess I should know better than to wander around when I have no sense of direction," I say, in reaction to Miles' odd comment about me going crazy. Two mole people then walk over to Elena and say, both at the same time, "Welcome to Quartz City, traveler! We're the capitol of Moli, our planet," they seemed eager to greet her as soon as they actually noticed her, which seemed a little odd. I then notice one of the locals, another mole man in line for something. I simply asked him "So, have you seen a golden, almost plate-like thing around here?" He answers with one word, "Yes," and I continue with "Good, do you know where it is?" He then responds with "Yes," and it seems as though I'd have to ask him even more questions, starting with "Well, are you going to tell me?" He then responds with "Yes,", though, he doesn't actually continue his response... I waited there for a while just to make sure he wasn't just thinking of a response, or something. I then asked "So... are you going to tell me soon?" He answers again with "Yes," and continues to wait in line. I was starting to get annoyed... this guy seemed to know where that thing was, and he wasn't telling me... "You're lying, aren't you?" I finally ask, convinced that I wasn't going to get an answer from this troll of a mole, who decides to answer with "No," this time, and still not tell me anything about where that thing that warped us here was. I almost breathed fire on him, and for some reason, he seemed completely unimpressed. I then ask "So... what are you waiting in line for?" He answers with "Something cool," and continues waiting in line. I almost lost it, but managed to keep it together, and simply asked another question "Would this thing be helpful in getting that thing?" He finally comes through with some type of useful answer, and says "Yes," I then just stand there, wondering whether I should wait in line for... whatever this was, or if I should just ignore it, and ask someone else what happened in that building... I really hoped that not all of the mole people were like that. If they were, then we'd end up getting nowhere.
[Tony]

I was apparently some sort of wiz at recruiting people into a group, as we haven't even started yet, and we've already gotten a new teammate. Better yet was the news from Connor. The cave was more stable than I thought it was, and thankfully, no giant monsters have moved in yet. Val suggested some sort of plan involving rocks, though, melting rocks wouldn't be a good idea unless we had something that could resist lava, which, in this new world might not exactly be outlandish, but I didn't know too many things that I had access to and wouldn't melt away in a lava pit. "Uh... I'm sorry, Val, but melting the rocks might not be the best idea at this time... though, I think I might have thought of something from that.... maybe I could try to shape a support beam from the rocks... I can apparently control them, after all," I could think of a few scenarios where this might work, but none of them included our current group, unfortunately. Of course, it would be less exhausting, I'm assuming, anyways, for me to cut down a tree or two in comparison to shaping a support beam from some rocks found in the cave. I then enter the cave, and it brings back memories of when I was dangerously going down those tracks on an old, rusty mine cart... I suppose it was nice that the cave had some lights here and there, else things would have been horrible. The entrance we came through let me see... what might have been the second turn that I had to make. I must have been too scared to notice the exit as I was barreling down the tracks the last time I was here. I then wondered if we should keep the mine cart tracks, or use the steel for our support beams... the tracks would provide an easier means of transport through our base if we expand it or something, but the support beams were kinda needed now.

Verlassën thought about that for a moment, before she got an idea. "What if I use my ice to make a thick wall or cast around it, then melt the stones? The magma would hit the ice and freeze back into stone, creating a pillar for us to use!" She said, the flame above her nose growing in size in the fox's excitement. She stood there for a moment, her tail waving back and forth before a noise sent shivers down her spine. Her ears perked up straight and her form stiffened. In the distance she was sure she could hear a fox's bark. It wasn't just any fox too, she knew those barks. "Nonono, they died... I'm sure they died. They couldn't survive could they?" She said, mostly to herself. Tony was forgotten as she found her feet and raced back over to the edge of the clearing, her form on alert as she looked around, her purple eyes wide. She listened for a few more moments, but no more sounds came. She let out a small whine, but then turned back and trotted back over to the boulders. "Sorry... Thought I heard something. Must of just been another creature."

As Elena saw the mole that greeted her, she was a bit surprised by their reactions to her. No hostilities it seemed... it felt a bit better to be somewhere where there was no chaos going on right now and such. She breath deeply, before listening to the mole that kept saying yes and no to Robert's question, and looked at him annoyed. She growl a bit at him, before summoning what seemed to be a water whip
"I am guessing your just gonna keep saying yes or no and not give us details eh... I would sudgest giving us a bit of answers... we are already lost here, and you are not helping." she then says, before wipping her whip in the air, and then water started to form around the mole's feet, making mud start to form, slightly sinking him in. At least make him feel uncomfortable a bit so he would at least give off a bit of information might help. Mud under your toes... she knew it was a feeling that was rather unpleasant for most people, walking with that is even worst. She just hoped that this would make the mole think a bit. She makes her whip disappear after this.
"So now we will ask 2 questions: what exactly is that something cool, and where is the plate piece?" she then says.

God damn it, Random_Lugia. You just had to get these moles than only answered yes or no questions... and why? Humour? That was a terrible joke upon us all. That and the bloody Colosseum. I had better things to do than to spend like an entire month on one part of the roleplay.

Back to present, there was going to be a possible divergence from the roleplay. It should be good, but then it means I won't be able to tell what's going to happen in the future, as well as know where and when to go somewhere. Basically, not only would I be of little use from this point forward, but we'd all fall prey to what could happen. The mystery beyond this world... therefore, I had to act. God knows what would happen if we couldn't talk to that mole without scaring him. "Elena, that's enough!" I shouted out once, getting behind her and putting my hand on her scaly shoulder. "You're gonna chase him off. We need the mole to tell us where the plate is, not to scare him through the general nature of interrogation."

The mole man was scared for a moment, but thankfully recovered after Miles held Elena back. "Maybe it would be better if we asked a little more nicely." I say to Elena. I then approach the mole man again, and ask "So... would you mind telling me what we need to know?" He then says "No, I'll tell... I was just trying to pass time. Anyways, the 'cool thing' is a new type of drill that can punch through literally everything... or, it can, in theory. The shiny thing you asked me about is behind a reinforced steel door that my ancestors put up some centuries ago. You remember that first arrow that you came across on your way here? Well, it's just past that," it was such a relief that he was finally cooperating that I didn't even notice that he was next. He then ran inside the building, and myself after him. "Hey, uh, you guys look around and see if this cash will get you anything, alright?" I say to my team, handing them the ten copper coins that I was holding. Thank goodness that they came in their own bag, I didn't bring mine, and would have to remember to get it as soon as I possibly could. I then continued into the building, though, it was a little weird waiting in line to see mining equipment... meh, they're moles, it's what they do, I guess. I sat down somewhere towards the back of the little theater-like set up they had for this, and waited for a while. Strangely enough, I had to sit through PREVIEWS, yes, previews... mostly for other pieces of equipment, and other random things that made me think that I'd blow their mind if I were to show them an actual movie. After that little... ugh... bit of boredom, the featured presentation started, and I noticed one thing... it appeared to utilize fire to possibly aid it in drilling things, which it did incredibly well. A few of the items that it drilled through without any effort included a giant slab of bedrock, reinforced steel, and a wall of diamonds. The crowd cheered, and I recalled that move I used out of desperation to interrupt the dark phoenix's attack... could that attack have some other utility usage? Hm... That mole said something about that reinforced steel wall... if I mimic that drill by mimicking that phoenix again then we might just make it one step closer to getting that thing that sent us here. I think as I just sit there, thinking.

Elena lowered her head after this, and sighed.
"Sorry Robert.... I guess it was me losing my patience a bit...." she then says calmly, before looking at the row of moles waiting in line, and thinking. They did need to get to that plate, and there was supposely a reinforced steel wall blocking the way... How to break it she was wondering. She looks at Robert as he said about going to check what they could buy with the coins. She looks at Miles, and sighed.
"I don't even know what we could get for these coins... probably not much... Guess we should go and see what things are worth around here?" she then asks Miles. Seriously, these moles loved digging, and it made her think that probably what they would find would mostly for digging utilities. And with the gold they mined, the copper probably was not worth much. Bah... better just go check.

Ralph looked into the cave. It was big enough for Connor to fit in, and it had minecart tracks so they could easily travel through it. The rest of the group was currently deciding what to use for the support beams. "I say we just use wood for the beams. I'm pretty sure making them out of stone would be pretty difficult." He said.
Something outside seemed to catch Val's attention. She ran outside, saying something about someone that died.
"What was that all about?" Ralph asked the others.
Moments later, she came back, saying that she thought she heard something. Ralph was about to ask her about what she said when she ran off, but decided it was none of his business. Besides, the main issue at the moment was making the cave safe enough to live in.

"Well, now we know we shouldn't test your patience. I'm gonna see if I can get something to eat with these... copper coins." I shuffled the five copper coins I had in my hand, not exactly the one to come up with ideas with a currency I was unfamiliar with. "But, who knows what these are really worth." That was a response to Elena's more passive question. I tried to drop them into a pocket that was subconsciously still there in my mind, but I had clearly forgotten we weren't really human anymore. Or at least couldn't wear pants like we used to.

The coins ended up slipping off my palm and getting absorbed into me, leaving a copper taste which I didn't really mind. I could pluck them out whenever I wanted to, but I really didn't have a pocket to store the money. And everything else we'd come across in this roleplay/adventure. "I'm gonna head off to... erm. I don't know." It seemed I had forgotten the basic layout of the city in the roleplay... thankfully that's why we had legs; we could just wander around and check the city. "Well. I'll go east. Seems a bit busy over there, that and Robert doesn't need to jump the entire city to find us."

After finally coming up with a plan, I decide to leave the area, stepping on something that resembled popcorn on my way out. I then look around this town for anyone that wasn't a mole... that of course, would be either Elena or Miles. Unfortunately for me, it seems as though they both took off, somewhere... right, that's kinda what I told them to do, huh? Either way, I decided against trying to look for them, and just headed back to the entrance, where I was approached by the two mole guards who greeted Elena, earlier. "Welcome... hey, how'd you get on that side of the entrance without us noticing?" They say to me. I chuckle, and say "Well, I managed to slip by while you were distracted by that lady." The two then look up at the ceiling for some reason, and say "Yeah..." these guys were weird, but, then again, so was the entire town. They also seemed completely obsessed with digging, as even the smallest of children always carried around at least a pickaxe or a shovel of some sort. The movie, or, whatever that was, ended after that, as moles started filling the streets from the theater, some of them looking disoriented or confused. One of them, the same one that told me to watch the demonstration, then said "Wow... that was awesome, huh? Hey, why aren't you with your friends?" I then answer "Well, I got what I needed from that, and I have no clue where any of them are," the mole then laughs, and says "Well, I saw the plastic guy heading off to the east, and you just passed your girlfriend," I look at him with an angry face, but manage to not punch him square in the jaw, and simply went back to the theater... sure, I didn't know which direction east was right now, but perhaps Elena knew.
