If I studied in Seattle University, my team could have been the Seattle Steel Legion.

Steel Legion sounds bad-ass. That's seriously epic, man.

I'm gonna be trying out for the Bisons next year. Bisons. For high jump. There is nothing even remotely epic about the image of a bison trying to high jump. XD

EDIT: See?

Confirmed: You will now all see ruined banners and posters of the Valhalla Vikings football team, the Thor mascot costume, and uniforms of the Valkyrie cheer squad if you pass by the university XD.

@Voltus_Ventus: Your character is acceptable. Though, I would appreciate it if you kept all information after the total quarantine as unknown. There's really no way to keep track of someone once they're in the middle of the outbreak. Though some information could be had during the set-up of the military perimeter before the initiation of total quarantine.

@Mach2: Accepted with flying colors! XD

I'll get to work on my own CS, and hopefully the IC wont be too far behind =)

Well... It depends on how quickly I get my CS up, and if I'll be inspired to write the IC immediately afterwards XD. Though I guess it should be ready in a couple of days. But I do hope the soldiers will get another character as time passes by

Well, we soldiers have a sharpshooter and a medic on the team. 0_0 I don't know about you but that is going to make the setting up of a base quite difficult.

Just leave my character somewhere safe to snipe from, and there's at least a 25%-ish chance of survival...

Well, the lack of soldiers wouldn't be too bad when we start the base up and get survivors there but it would be extremely hard to deal with the Immortals(as I have come to call them) with only two people.

I think it is implied that there is at least a team full of stickmen NPCs at the start...before they get eaten/attacked/infected/raped by in the immortals and/or disgruntled survivors.

There will be three of us (my character is a soldier too), but there will be about several squads of fully armed soldiers for this operation, as well as several supplies and vehicles (like armed, silent humvees) which will be airlifted into the city. So we will have a pretty strong chance against them, as long as we don't screw up XD. In fact, here's my character now:

NAME: Castor, Lionel
AGE: 38
SEX: M
PERSONALITY: Lionel displays uncommon bravery when he is on an assignment, once grabbing a live enemy grenade and throwing it back when his unit was pinned down. He is loyal to his cause, and determined to complete any mission given to him. Though his definition of success is both completing the objectives, and getting everyone back home alive. He acts like a father-figure to his men (according to his previous squads), and has had his bonds forged under fire. Aside from these, he has a “do unto others what others has done unto you” sort of behavior; he will be cooperative and friendly to those who show that sort of behavior towards him, but may also fight with someone who tries to provoke him or get in his way. Aside from these, he is somewhat a perfectionist, as he cannot tolerate failure by himself and will go to extreme lengths to make-up for his errors.

NATIONALITY: United States
MILITARY BRANCH: W.U. Anti-Terrorist Division
RANK: Colonel
SPECIALIZATION: None

BACKGROUND: Born to a family without a father (a soldier killed in action) and raised in poverty in Valhalla city, Lionel got through with his mother through a lot of hard work, though he himself had never turned to crime. They managed to scrape enough money for his studies, and he himself earned a scholarship at Valhalla University. After completing his studies, he and his mother moved to North Carolina to meet up with their aunt who the mother wished to see and give Lionel to before she died of cancer. Afterwards, he decided to join the military following his deceased father.

After surviving boot camp, he displayed exceptional skill in both combat and improvising on the field. He also became someone a few of the other cadets started looking up to. He became a fireteam leader and was deployed into anti-terror operations in the western continent. He managed to keep his squad in one piece throughout their tour of duty, and also eventually became recognized enough to be transferred to the W.U. Anti-Terrorism division. Once there, he quickly ascended the chain of command and became a Colonel. He was also one of the men assigned to protecting the Lazarus Serum aboard the cargo plane bringing it to the disposal facility. It was one of his few failures, but his greatest one.

By the time the Valhalla Crisis became a worldwide issue, Col. Lionel Castor volunteered for Operation RAGNAROK and was immediately assigned as a Field Commander following his service record.

SKILLS: Aside from above-average skill in the usage of firearms, and knowledge on several pieces of both weaponry and explosives, The Colonel is a natural leader who can rally men together under a single goal. He has also displayed an ability to improvise on the field whenever plans fall apart to make the best of a bad situation.

LIKES: Cooperative people, selfless people, free time with acquaintances, watching sports, board games, proving to wrong people that they are indeed wrong
DISLIKES: Uncooperative people, Lack of regard for human lives, Slow bureaucratic processes, making mistakes

REASON FOR VOLUNTEERING: “I need to make up for what I’ve caused... By any means necessary”

You could imply that the outbreak may cause changes in him due to the previous state of his personality. Just be clear enough with what changes these are exactly.

Rultaos, you forgot your own rule on the Character Name (Last name, first name). :P

Anyways, I think Ursa has the right idea in that npcs would be key if there are too little soldiers. In fact, its almost necessary for it to make logical sense (though, who gives a shit about logic in fiction? xD).

And Rultaos, now that you have your CS, TIME FOR THE IC!!!! WOOOOOT! :p

Yes, yes I did. Just goes to show how easy it it to make that mistake XD. Yep, I did say that there will be a LOT of troops being sent in (plus vehicles and equipment to be supplied to the Safe-Zone). And yeah, the IC shouldn't be too far behind =)

Also, another VU grad?! Noice!!! :D

Lets go Vikings!!!

Edit: if you couldnt tell, im quite excited to RP this out! Although, I must say, I had an AWESOME idea for a soldier character... though I might use him for a different RP... or unless my character in this one dies (which happens to my characters more often than most people's cause I rather the realism and excitement over half-assed god mods that could be overlooked... but I digress).

No but these changes would be a bit difficult to predict, could it be okay if I add a little informal extra information in a hider or something?

Hmm... Well then just include how they changed as the quarantine became harsher and harsher. There was still a period of time where the government cold still keep tack of people during the outbreaks because of various security cameras and scouting teams. (I'll alter some universe lore for this)

During the early stages of the total quarantine (by the time the barrier was being built) there were still security cameras functional within the danger-zone which allowed the authorities to catch glimpses of survivors doing various things (and seeing as we're in a near-future setting, cameras should be littered all over the city). Only recently has the deep-city cameras died down, leaving only the ones at the wall and city edges still functional.

That way you can explain the change in your CS. Does that work? =)
