I know I'm allied with several German states. I know the German Confederation exists. I can claim ignorance to not having read the Constitution of the German Confederation, however, and I am because it's not a document I've read. I'm sure most people with a decent education can tell you that the German Confederation exists, but do you expect them to have read its constitution? No, that's just silly. This is a roleplay forum, not a history forum.

I'm sure anyone who has taken a college history class knows of its existence, but that doesn't mean a whole lot.I'm under the assumption that we only need a general knowledge to participate in these games. Not all of us graduated college with degrees in history.
