Green line has taken a commanding lead. It's pretty much decided at this point.

Before you make a CS, a couple of tips

1) Read up on whats happening. PM me with questions.

2) Make your character useful. I don't need anymore stabby-shooty types. Bring something useful to the table. I'm currently lacking a doctor.

3) This is a High Casual/Advanced level RP, so make sure you're writing at that level.

You got it, chief. Looks like I got a bit of reading ahead of me before I get the CS started.

I DO like playing non-combatants, though.

Oh Mot, you - FILTHY

Don't just have things like that plastered into your signature for the entire world to see, you deviant! Of course people aren't going to understand, because it's gross!

Don't even bother making a mechanic, because nobody is EVER going to let you near their weapons if they know about this!

Ah, right, with that I should probably mention:Poe will be able to repair/maintain weapons and equipment for people too stupid to do otherwise, :P and due to a generous donation of special technology from Mr. House, he will in fact be able to make custom weapons from scratch. He's paid by commission by House and Tenpenny, so the only thing he needs are raw materials. I was going to have him hand out a shopping list of valuable materials for the party to scavenge for while out and about. So if you can think of Custom Items for a particular location, that's great. If there's a particular unique item you specifically want your character to have though, just run the request by Poe. That way you can make random cool things for all the locales that you might not necessarily want, but someone else would be interested in.Also: Dibs on the State of Missouri.

Alternatively, bring junk to Scrap or he will eat you.

Edit: Actually, Scrap might be willing to play along as long as Goggly Man showed him how to construct these new items as well, then it's an investment in later junk bartering; would that work for you Terminal? My only other option without breaking character would be to Nightkin around and steal all the materials, then no one's happy.

That would require some convincing on Poe's part, and the whole 'RAGH I'M A CRAZY NIGHTKIN' thing wouldn't intimidate him.

Also, that would only work for items, weapons, and armor with no high-tech components requiring the Science Skill - Scraps only has Repair tagged, so there's things he just wouldn't be able to learn to make even if Poe DID try to teach him. :(

I'm sure Scraps will do what he feels he has to do. It occurs to me though that, eventually, Scraps WILL reach a point where he cannot carry any more weight. Sensor modules, fission batteries, conductors, scrap metal, and steam gauge assemblies are pretty heavy. Especially in bulk quantities. Not to mention all the other things Poe will have on his shopping lists.

If he starts stealing scrap and throwing it away just to keep it away from everyone else,

Mr. House said You will be disposed of.

They have a job to do, after all.

All valid points though I hasten to remind everyone Scrap's only lashed out at Sabin so far and only then for pointing a goddamn gun at his face and besmirching his good name. All things considered he'd been a gent. Still, I don't see him convincing Poe to share such intel easily. I s'pose we could split the difference and have Scrap spy on Poe making them though he's likely to have at least a few mines lying around out of sheer habit. It's quite a pickle really, were it anything else I could handwave it away but collecting scrap is what his psychosis demands he do. What if he gathered the materials himself in exchange for the schematics?

As for the weight, Atomic and I were actually discussing something along those lines quite recently, it should be fun.

Edit: Fuck it, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I feel like if I didn't kick in steam I'll be caught in the middle of something I'm not prepared for, so I kicked out the last dump and now I can write non-hidden posts.

Extremely Extraordinary Tales of Sir Barnabus Brimble, HUNTER EXTRAORDINAIRE! – The 1st Official Biography of Sir Barnabus Brimble, HUNTER EXTRAORDINAIRE!

Abstract

Hello dear reader, I, Sir Barnabus Brimble, HUNTER EXTRAORDINAIRE! would like to congratulate you on your selection of reading material for now you are reading my first official biography, the biography of Sir Barnabus Brimble, HUNTER EXTRAORDINAIRE!, the first of many to come. Now you’ve all heard the stories, the myths surrounding the extraordinary hunter that I am; the tales of coming of my birth by trained Deathclaws to the daring raid by Brotherhood of Steel Paladins on my tent. Hogwash, nothing can be further from the truth! Now dear reader, in this 600 paged book I shall speak the truth and only the truth of my extraordinary life. Prepare yourself, for you shall now learn the life of Sir Barnabus Brimble, HUNTER EXTRAORDINAIRE!

Contrary to the stories where I killed by first Molerat before I learned to walk, I was never born an extraordinary hunter, I had to learn to become one. My parents, my birth parents were part of a nomadic tribe traveling across the Wastelands as trade caravans from settlement to settlement. This was until they were disintegrated by the 35 Raiders on the 35th. I myself was nearly killed in the raid before I became a hunter extraordinaire until a tribe of robots exterminated the raiders. I was the only survivor of my tribe. The robots are part of a tribe called the Iron Knights; a tribe of sentient robots tasked with the protection of the innocent and the punishment of the guilty took me in an raised me as one of their own. There I met my new parents and by extension, my new family.

Growing up, I learned their ways; how to talk like them, how to move like them and more importantly, how to fight like them. My new family taught me the ways of powder and chamber and before I knew it, I was on my first hunting trip with them. I remember my first kill; we were tracking this beast for days without rest. I took aim and pulled the trigger and its goodnight Irene for the beast. And that’s my first kill as Sir Barnabus Brimble, HUNTER EXTRAORDINAIRE!

Sovi3t: Just to clarify, canonically, a courier who supports House destroys all Brotherhood forces in New Vegas, and this is fifteen years after the battle of Hoover Dam.

An abrupt resurgence of Brotherhood activity in the region is ok, I guess, but considering that the moment the questions are over we'll be heading to New Reno, leaving New Vegas behind us, there's not much point in leaving Brotherhood in New Vegas.

For the sake of moving this along, I'm going to write the "discussion" about which line to take in a sort of "fade to black" kind of a thing.

If anyone has any further questions, ask them tonight, or save them for the train. By tomorrow I'm hoping we'll be boarded and on the way to New Reno.

ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that we know where we're going, start looking ahead at the places we'll visit and come up with some ideas for what we may experience. This is where you guys will have big creative freedoms in shaping the landscape. PM me with questions, ideas, or better yet, post them here so we can all discuss them together.
