Alright, a few points about this latest update, and the coming war:

-Stats have changed slightly. Nations now have a "Resource Level" stat. This shows the amount of agriculture, trade, mining, etc, that the nation is exploiting. It provides less income than industry, and takes longer to get up a level, but big jumps can be made through colonisation.

-As we go into this war, remember the rules, especially rules 1, 4, and 5.

-All peace settlements must be ok'ed by me first.

-I don't have a map for the latest update yet, Working on it.

-Since I want this game to continue after this war, whichever alliance is victorious, I will be taking steps to ensure it does not dominate post-war politics completely.

What are the consequences of having an astronomically high level of debt, a la the Ottoman Empire?

-£50,000, +4 ironclads, +7 ships-of-the-line, +10 screw frigates, +10 sail frigates, +6 transport ships, +3 ironclads in 1 turn, +7 ships-of-the-line in 1 turn, +5 screw frigates in 1 turn, +10 sail frigates in 1 turn, +5 transport ships in 1 turn, +3 ironclads in 2 turns, +6 ships-of-the-line in 2 turns, +5 sail frigates in 2 turns, +1 resource sublevel)

Would these be some of those steps?

At some point, debt really has to do something....Can Kebab even make interest?

Having too high debt does cause a shitstorm in your nation. However, as surprising as it is, the OE has not yet reached that level, although it is pretty close.

^ There HAS to be some kind of consequence to it. I realize that it's a blatant buff to try and make the war more fair, but it's ridiculous.

A question; how did the annexation of Belgium /reduce/ my income?

@Nex; it didn't. Raising a bunch of troops reduced your income.

Well damn, my industry is like, three times better. Expect 40 Prussian ironclads next turn.

^ Aye. If we're keeping to scale, an industrial powerhouse like Prussia should be able to pump out three times what the Ottomans produced in the same time span.

Belgium gives me less income than hiring 15,000 regulars costs me?

Out of curiosity, why did our incomes decrease from a small amount of soldiers but the Turks increased with much more soldiers and ships?

Their income also went down. Other steps they took made it go up. Ships don't reduce income.

WHAT other steps? Certainly nothing mentioned in the update. They recruited over six numbers the number of regulars that I did, on top of their completely ludicrous navy production, and yet their income INCREASED from the previous update.

Alright, for fucks sake Nex, is this really necessary? Your income went down, like, £70 or so. Your stats still beat Kho's in almost every way. This is a game, not a competition, so chill the fuck out.

Yes, my income went down by a mere £70, and the Ottoman's RAISED despite their military growing at more than six times the pace of mine (that's excluding their navy buff). I realize that it's not a competition, but it's not a game either if there are different rules for each country.
