Pasta, could you explain that remark?

Edward was high, so that's why the dream happened.

Except for the fact that the Dutch are still using African slave labor in their American colonies...

I can get around to the incredibly expensive restructuring of the Dutch colonial empire's labour system once I don't have to worry about the British navy bombing the coastline.

Errmm...words have started wars just so you know. And essentially, you are setting Britain against you. You don't want that.

Yes they have started wars, but if you do declared war on a country, that has done nothing to you. Other countries will start to hate you and you'll become like Nazi Germany (who just declares war on countries so he could gain some land for no reason).

Really Greece?

So Boerd I'm just gonna say right now that he is messing with y'all and us. He's attempting to play both sides to get the best deal. I don't think any of us should believe a word that comes out of his mouth. He'll try and make a new treaty with us the instant we win a battle.

That is immaterial, since Prussia is going to win the war on the continent. Coalition Greece just speeds that along.

Pasta, what do you hope to accomplish by continuing the war?

This feels like a repeat of the Peloponnesian War on a grander scale.

European "Dominance." You are our enemy. Allowing you to win this war is a hit against the prestige of the new Republic. Also..the simple fact is that you guys won't win. You might have the stronger armies, but you cannot do anything if they are starving.

Essentially, while I might not get anything 'material' of great wealth...it is a power struggle.

...how are they going to starve? We may be blockaded but a lot of our food just comes from Europe itself. Russia probably has a surplus of wheat since they aren't trading it to Britain. Trade happens over land too.

Which you can't win. All you are doing is throwing the Ottomans under the bus.

^^ Some countries were landlocked so they have to trade by land.

Not if we bog you down and force you to fight a costly war of attrition. Russia's about to implode in debt so they won't be around in a little bit.

Tell that to the Ottoman Empire. Also, welcome back! I miss debating with you. Now that I can debate you and Pasta, it feels like a dream.

About the blockades. The RN is big, but now that France is out, who is still blockades?
