This seems like a pretty cool concept; I'll try and have a character sheet up tonight. If not, it'll be about this time tomorrow in all likelihood.

HWWB, What's the issue? The roleplay is meant o accommodate a wide range of characters, within reason.

I don't want to be rude or come off as judgmental, but I've been in a bunch of RP's with superpowered characters before and I've kinda grown tired of purely combat-focused characters. I don't enjoy being in RP's where it feels like my character has to "compete" to be viable, i.e. if they don't have a power that's as devastatingly effective as the others they don't have much of an effect in the plot. I'm not questioning your judgment as GM, but personally, I'm leery of some of the character's very broad skill sets, incredibly formidable powers, and very few weaknesses that actually seem like a hindrance. I'm sure this'll be a great RP, I just think it may not be for me. I feel like I'd need to make an insanely powerful character just to be relevant and I'd rather not do that.

Well like I've said before you can play more than just a combat character and even if you're not powerful you can still be important. Players could play scientists, investigators, tech specialists, doctors, any kind of support character which could influence the plot. Doomsday is averted by smarts and skill as much as it is by muscle and power.

And even 'weaker' characters can still be relevant and fight more powerful enemies. Superpowers are like rock-paper-scissors in a way. Sure some people are strong but does that matter much if you can freeze them? Or go inside their mind? Or speed around them and wear them down? Sure one guy have electric powers but what if you control water? Or drain energy?

Being more powerful makes you more dramatic but it doesn't make you more important. Atom has saved the day more than once and his power is just shrinking. Mister Terrific has saved the day because he's smart and thinks strategically. Using your powers no matter what they are in creative ways can give a character a lot of mileage.

But I do see your point and I am making an active effort to keep everyone's powers and abilities grounded for balance.

That said I would like any new characters do something different and strive for more specifics in their powers. There are decades of comic-book superpowers to take inspiration from.

I'm actually editing my CS yet again to put Abaddon's powers into order and to be more specific in their capabilities and stuff.

since I never see it done with OCs in any of the superhero roleplays I have been a part of, my second character will be an ocean style hero like Aquaman

After seeing some complaints about the generally high power levels of the Cs's I'm thinking about shelving Furious or Volt for a while, but in a way that is conducive to the story. I'll PM MrD about it.

And I think a female Aquaman type would be cool.

Arty, A continuation but enough time has passed to be considered a reboot. Like Superman Returns but not sucky :P

Yeah we have a decent amount to start, so I'll set up the IC tomorrow while leaving room for those with unfinished bios to jump in when accepted.

I still need to re-read a lot of the background first.

Red Lace's phasing power can only allow her to vanish and reappear in a nearby location at the moment. As a support power, she will later be able to share this power with nearby allies and 'phase' them to a safer area. When it gets stronger, she may be able to teleport to an entirely new location if that's fine with you; if that's OP, maybe it causes her to pass out.

Also, to make her more of a support character, maybe she can one day extend the effects of Red Fury and buff her allies with similar powers, making nearby friends much faster.
