i know that, but i'm partially treating it like an rpg and reviewing people's abilities for a dungeon raid (probably doesn't help that the creator has made many points towards the fact that he designed the world and creatures sort of like a more varied and open wow) so, interesting though they may be, it's going to be difficult if they're not really useful sadly :/
I suppose so, but this isn't really a tabletop RPG, with rolls, and everything. This is a play by post, mostly focusing on story and character development. If it weren't, we'd get a hint at to how difficult an opponent might be, and what not. In this, what determines if you hit and NPC is whether or not you think you hit an NPC. You might hit them because you hit them, or you might miss them because it adds an interesting plot mechanic.
I get where you coming from and everything, but this is whole board is just a way to have some fun.
And besides, creating characters even in tabletop RPGs with the intent of giving them "usefull" skills is known as min-maxing, and is totally LAAAAAME. The best games I've ever played are the ones where everyone's just being awesome, polite, and having a fuckton of fun with their characters.
