I've seen it go either way between Pokémon roleplays, though they are also somewhat established elements in the PMD games (now that I think about it). Just to touch on it briefly before we start would be nice.

Bulbapedia said Standard attacks are considered to have no type, and will attack Pokémon of all types equally. Against Wonder Guard, standard attacks will only do 1 damage.

Ok, another quick question; can our characters remember things from the human world that aren't directly connected with their lives, like pop culture references. My idea is that Cal makes frequent pop culture references only to question and get angered over the fact that he can remember something stupid like that, but not who he is
