By the way, Ampharos, I've a question I've been meaning to ask. How far may we push outside of what's laid out in our Stunts sections, such as with fighting "tooth and claw" and using what we can find in the environment? I've seen it go either way between Pokémon roleplays, though they are also somewhat established elements in the PMD games (now that I think about it). Just to touch on it briefly before we start would be nice.

It's reasonable to believe that characters have some kind of default attack, the same way that they do in the actual games. Like the games, it'll countless as a typeless move. You can fill in the details on what exactly you do.

Targets the weakest part of a groupt ----> Freya <---- someoen who he can easily convince to do....'anything' for his supplies xD

I think the move they use in PMD, is like Struggle. With the exception that it don't damage the user unless the opponent is liek spikey, Its a 'Normal' physical move since it don't hurt rock types as much, and I'm not sure if it damages ghost types.

Plus, with Mean Look, she can't really run away.

I'm pretty sure that the default attack's always been typeless. Isn't resisted or avoided by anything. Weird how it's hard-coded to do 4 damage in the latest game. Quote from the wiki,

Bulbapedia said Standard attacks are considered to have no type, and will attack Pokémon of all types equally. Against Wonder Guard, standard attacks will only do 1 damage.

Yeah maybe, yeah...it hurts ghost types. but it still don't hurt Rock and ground types very much...maybe because of high defence...idk xD...

When I get the IC up, I'd like everyone to post at least once before posting again. I'd like everyone to have the chance to have an introduction before things get crazy.

Your posts don't need to be nearly as long, just enough to introduce your character and give everybody an idea of what kind of writer you are. A couple paragraphs should suffice, though you're free to write as much as you want. As I mentioned previously, I'd like everyone to get a chance to post their introductions before we start doing one-on-one conversations or interacting with each other in any meaningful ways.

Also, I amended the first post in the OOC to describe how combat works. I'm willing to tweak it if you guys have any outstanding issues, so please voice your thoughts and concerns, if you have any.

Ok, another quick question; can our characters remember things from the human world that aren't directly connected with their lives, like pop culture references. My idea is that Cal makes frequent pop culture references only to question and get angered over the fact that he can remember something stupid like that, but not who he is

Example

"Bad news for you man; I went to the Revolver Ocelot school of torture! Wait...why the hell do I remember who that is and not who I am!?"

I'm leaning towards no. Direct pop culture references aren't very tasteful, in my opinion, but if you want to make subtle references, go for it. In Explores of Sky, IIRC, one of the characters mentions hidden villages full of ninjas, a reference to Naruto. If you want to go that route and indirectly reference things without using names, I wouldn't have a problem, but I don't think I want direct references.

And is I'm the only one who have a really...really difficult time imagining how the heck a sword...out of everything that is considered 'genderless' in the pokémon world...actually can be sorted into either a boy or a girl...

Oh...are you a Lady sword?....or a Sir Sword?....another Wtf to the new Gen I guess -.-" because no matter how you attempt to explain that...it just...become wrong...

Oh So here comes a stupid question: If a pokémon with like...arms wields a Honedge, would it raise their attack?

....Hahaha. Honestly, that sounds pretty badass either way. Even if it didn't raise your attack or nothin'. I mean... A pokemon with a sword! o_o;

My guess is that any damage done by swinging the Honedge would depend on it's attack stat. But this brings up the question of; can a Pokemon channel an attack through the Honedge (ie, could a Zangoose use Slash with the Honedge)?
