What would be an acceptable exclamation substitute for "jeez" and the like?

This is relevant to my interests too. More on the cursing side of things, but nonetheless some terminology on equivalents to 'jeez', 'holy' and so on would be much appreciated.

There could also be references to "spirits" in general, or "ancestors", or great heroes of the past instead of specifically religious figures... But yeah, "gods!" is a good one to fall back on in most universes, I think.

Post up within the next hour and a half O_O Sorry, posting during weekdays will be difficult. Turns out I'm severely free-time impaired. Including commute I have 15.5 hours booked in my week days... They, alas, do not including eating or personal hygiene... While I love RPing, it will have to wait until friday nights, saturdays and sundays to be fast paced :( or else it will conflict with my 6 hour allotted power-down :P

I wish I could post during class... but it's hard to make breads and type at the same time O_O

Hey Hanged, you mentioned in passing that worship is tied to the land rather than something like organized religion. What would be an acceptable exclamation substitute for "jeez" and the like? Tentatively, I just use "gods", or more humorously, "Lords of Lismos..."Also, what is the currency of Lismos? As in, what is it called, and what are the values of it for common items (apples, baubles, etc.)?

Gods or demons are regular curses to use :) still, the most commonly used is 'Fates' + '*insert curse here*'

So sorry about the lack of description in the conversation part of my post. I will fix it tomorrow. OpenOffice decided it would be funny to crash (I typed the dialog first, saved, added descriptions, crashed...) It doesn't hinder comprehension, but it's not as good, obviously.

I'll be including bits like my post developing/detailing Auguste's powers here and there in the RP. I did make myself a sheet with the details, but I like unveiling a little at a time, since the character's powers and simply not understood by others.

Can I still join?

EDIT: Sorry, didn't read the sign on the first post. So, yeah, I'll probably post my char sheet on weekend.
Question. Is illusion and perception alteration considered as outsorcery or insorcery

Hey, welcome to the club, looking forward to seeing what you can produce.

As for Illusions and Perception Alterations, it can actually go both ways with slightly different results for each. For example, my character is a master Outsorceror that can use a combination of fire and water moisture to create illusions, or most of the elements to simulate pressures on the skin or otherwise muck with a person's perception.

On the other hand, an Insorceror's manipulation would, as their name suggests, work entirely within the target's internals. They can create surprisingly good illusions of whatever they suggest the target would be seeing, or they can mess with the brain directly to alter sensory perception.

Ultimately, it's probably easier for an Insorceror, but still possible for an Outsorceror. The one part that's easier for an Outsorceror, however, is that they don't have to create an illusion or alter the perceptions of each individual they want to target, as their illusion is a tangible object out in the world, or sounds they make to trick an enemy are actual sounds being made in the real world.

What Komamisa said.

Sheesh, you know, I don't know whether to be happy or sad that you guys or on similar wavelengths with me. On one hand, I don't have to be online all the time to clarify things since you guys discuss it among yourselves, on the other hand, I'm starting to wonder about my purpose as a GM xD

What Zombehs said! There's one thing we can never get a true hold of, the plot! Plus, whenever we do get something wrong, you can always slap us around and have the satisfaction of telling us that we were wrong.

No seriously, though. Take us making intuitive statements about your RP as testament to how sensible and well put together your RP's world is. For one, it makes your life easier where you don't have to explain everything (though that might be part of the fun). Secondly, it also leaves you room to focus on the plot itself.
Unless my energy commits suicide and I fall asleep the moment I get home today (again), post should be up later today.
@Hanged Going through some of the earlier posts, I had noted that you listed the basic elements as fire, earth, water, wind and metal. Metal being of most interest here to me, as the fictional element of "aether" would usually be in its place, being the source of things like pure energy, and being comparable to the Japanese classical element of void. Point of this being, what element would be the source of lightning in this roleplay's world?

Throughout your entire post, I was thinking "Oggie, use the force." Just so you know.

Lightning is currently considered a combined tier of wind and fire. The basic elements are the ones that can easily be found everywhere naturally.

Is that a good or bad thing? O_o I want to take it as a compliment, but I'm afraid it may mean my style is cliché haha

Just post anything people. If you can't, then post a reaction to someone else's post. That'll keep the RP going :)

I had this silly idea to spend the last 4 hours cooking/preparing various foods for absolutely no reason. But, that's over, on to working on that post of mine.
