Leroy stalled for as long as he could, he knew when he lifted his foot that the officer would sight the blood and take him in, if he didn't shoot Leroy right there. Leroy was a second away from unleashing his Charge and taking his chances with crashing into the guy when Jeff chimed in. What is he playing at? Leroy thought to himself as Jeff talked up the officer, though he didn't mind having the officer's attention taken off him for the moment. It was when Jeff turned around that the plan finally pieced together. You tricky bastard. Leroy thought, with a smirk forming under his mask, as he got ready for the distraction that he was praying for. The second the officer's feet left the floor Leroy pulled his hand from behind his back, it brimming with the power of his Charge vigor, and was slingshot out the door with amazing speed. Damn, I think I over charged that a bit. Leroy thought as he regained his footing a few yards away from the door. He turned back to see the officer still suspended in the air. "I'll have to show you my shoe another time sir, it's a bit dirty at the moment!" He called back to the officer, a slight laugh in his voice, before dashing off. He quickly hooked himself to a near by skyline and set his skyhook to it's highest speed as he raced away. I hope those guys have a place to lie low for awhile. He thought to himself as he raced of to Emporia.

Daniel was surprised to say the least when a blast of bucking bronco came his way, but wasn't as shocked when he saw himself in the air, along with the cop. Damn. He twirled in the air helplessly, watching as Jeff ran off, Leroy had vanished, probably charged out of the doorway. As for Kennedy, he wasn't sure, especially now that his back was to the ground. Well, so much for being backup. Sure, he'd gotten into sticky situations, but none quite like this.
"Ugh god, I think I'm gonna get motion sick.." He muttered, clutching at his vest. That's when he remembered, what goes up, must come down. But, what if he could manipulate the air and force himself further along, but while in the air, almost like flying; or floating for a better term.

Sucking in a breath of air, Daniel closed his caramel eyes, focusing on the air around him, the gentle breeze. He focused on the wings of elegant birds, chopping through the air. No, he needed the image of something using the air to it's advantage. Then, the whole city of Columbia appeared in his head, fixed at a simple height in the space time continuum, it didn't float, it was fixed, not able to budge in the air. Sure, it used the blimps to lift to connect a building to another, but that was it. Perfect. He could already feel the power of over a thousand strong steeds coursing through his veins.

When he reopened his eyes, they seemed brighter, full of energy and life. He focused on the ground beneath him and let loose another blast, the image of the city in his mind, he pushed himself backwards, the air shifting around him, draining him faster than normal. He felt as if he were kicked in the gut, and no doubt looked worse for wear, his force drained more than he had prepared himself for. Landing with a painful thud, Dan skidded across the hard wood of the boardwalk, his fingers digging into the walk for a grasp. When he regained control and stopped, he felt a small bit of pain from his back, and a trickle of something trailing down his spine.

Well, so much for the graceful landing he had hoped for. He was a bit of a distance away now, but not too far in case he needed to quickly get up. Which he had already prepared for. His eyes were now locked on Kennedy, the muscles in his arms and legs tensed to rush back to her aid if needed. She was strong, all of them were, but he had to make sure she was okay, it was a reflex. He wanted to encourage her to run as fast as she could, but he didn't want to scream out her name, which he knew he would if he opened his mouth. He wan never the best at talking, but what he lacked in speech, he made up for duly with his loyalty and his heart.
'C'mon Kennedy....C'mon He thought, his mind reeling with possibilities and solutions. He stood up and prepared to rush back over, barely stopping himself, knowing that if he did, he would only slow them down. Though it killed him slowly to stand and watch, only able to use his weapon if needed, he knew that would be best.

Kennedy watched as the cop ignored her snarky comments and continued with his little interrogation. And what do ya know? There goes Jeff again, jabbering his jaw off to the guy. Except this time... this time there was a purpose. Before Kennedy caught wind of the "plan", she watched and prepared herself for Leroy to lift his other shoe to the cop, revealing that he did or did not commit the crime. Of course, if he hadn't they wouldn't still be putting up with this guy, now would they?

And in the blink of an eye, the cop went from firmly planted on the ground, to levitating feet above it. In a rush of wind, Leroy had made it out of the room, leaving Kennedy and the others. As she couldn't help but smile at the sight of the cop floating in the air with no control of the situation, she then noticed Dan was unfortunate enough to get caught up in the Bucking Bronco blast as well. She made a grab for her sky hook, and when she turned around she saw Daniel had managed to get himself back on solid ground. Well, as solid as you can get for a floating city, that is.

In her left hand, her Shock Jockey was charging up, and she made a mad dash for the door. There, she released the electric crystals to barricade the door after making sure the boys had all made it out. She caught a glimpse of Leroy riding away on the skyline in the direction of Emporia. Kennedy looked at Daniel and Jefferey, "Time to go boys," her skyhook was starting to spin as she spoke, and she motioned towards the lines, "Let's get out of here."

Dan nodded with relief flooding over him, they were all okay, and no one appeared to be hurt. Though, he was sure that his back was bleeding a bit, he would be okay enough to ride on the rails. He briefly scanned over Kennedy to make sure she wasn't hurt, being the last one to leave and all, the cop hadn't gotten in a blast, which was good. From what he could gather she seemed alright. Good. Dan took his sky hook from his side holster, spinning it slowly with a gleam in his eyes.

He glanced back at both Jeff, who he was still a bit mad at for the lack of warning, and Kennedy who had already taken out her own hook. "Well, I'll head up after you guys. In case he manages to get out. That way, I'll be the first target." He surmised, letting his hook fall to his side, still holding it tightly.

His dark hair was still a bit disheveled, but the wind should fix it in no time on the line. Hopefully. His gaze darkened a bit, his heart pounding in his chest while he said "Be careful, I don't want to lose the only real family I have left." He nodded to both Jeff and Kennedy a final time, stepping back a bit from the lines, wincing as the pain shot up from his spine at the movement.

Clarence was watching the Dreaded Crow, waiting to see the bottom of the other shoe. Suddenly, his vision blurred as his stomach jumped into his throat. He cried out in surprise, as he quickly tried to fire his gun, to at least incapacitate the murderer. He heard the ping of the bullet, signifying his defeat. Loosing the murderer was bad, but he could arrest the associates. The talker had not only assaulted an officer, he had aided a criminal. He struggled to maintain his balance when suddenly, the vigor wore off, and he was sent crashing to the ground. He groaned as he stood up, turning towards the door. The exit was now barricaded with electrified crystals, allowing the group time to escape. Clarence paced slightly before cursing loudly and fire his gun at the crystals. After about a clip was spent, the doorway was safe to exit. He rushed outside, looking around for a hint to where the group went. With no clues available, he slammed his fist into the wall of the building, pain shooting through his arm. He checked his lip, a warm liquid beginning to leak from a wound. 'Must've busted it when I fell.' He saw a group of officers approaching, obviously being called about the noise. He know he couldn't mention that he allowed the group to escape, let alone the Dreaded Crow. He gulped, his mind reeling through possible explanations. On the way back to the station, he explained that he had seen a group of trespassers entering the building. He would find the group again, at least one of the members... He ran his hands through his hair, cursing silently. He slowly walked to the evidence lockers, sorting through the collection, searching for anything that might help him discover who this masked man was. The group acted like he was a hero... but terrorists usually think they are.

Jeff ran in between both Kennedy and Dan as they made their way to the skylines, Keeping more in pace with Dan who seemed a bit shaken from the vigor. He looked at him apologetically and said "Sorry about that man, better warning will be in order next time I assume." When Dan mentioned he would stay behind, Jeff looked at him with a serious gaze "And as your family I am gonna say hell no to that."

He then looked back at Kennedy, "You head back to Leroy, I'll stay behind with Danny-boy and make sure we stay outta sight. I have a few old hideouts around here that we can lay low in until he's feelin' better to travel." He said to his leader as he fell back with Dan, offering himself as a support in case he needed it.

Dan gave a nod to Jeff, one that showed how thankful he was that Jeff had offered. "Thank's Jeff, and apology accepted." He looked quizzically at his friend when he had moved a bit closer to him, leaving him to wonder why. Did they leave something behind? No matter, Dan pressed forward, his back aching with each step, but as determined and stubborn as he was, he kept going.

Only did he slow when he could no longer navigate on his own, Jeff had more than one hideout, between which now, was up to Jeff. "Where are we going?" He asked, hand now clutching at his side. He was worried about the welfare of everyone else on the team, his thoughts traveling to Leroy and Kennedy, hoping that they were okay. From what he had seen, Jeff was as bright as ever, and in way, it made Dan feel better to know that he hadn't muffed anything up. As he waited, he swore he heard something....Music?
If so, this was the strangest music he'd ever heard. As he looked toward where the sound was coming from, his eyes opened, jaw ajar. What he saw made him question what he was seeing. It appeared to be a washed out scene of the world around him, though it had a strange red glow to it. He squinted faintly and waved over Jeff so he too could see and listen to this strange thing. But, it...vanished, collapsing in on itself. "What in the world?..." He breathed out, still in awe.

Leroy sped through the cool air of the floating city, looking over his shoulder every now and then to check if anyone was following him. That was to damn close Leroy! You almost got everyone caught! He shook his head as he tried to set his mind straight. The masked man raced through the sky until he reached his destination, Emporia. He unhooked from the skyline and dropped into a deserted ally. "Time for the Dreaded Crow to disappear for awhile" Leroy mumbled to himself as he opened the satchel he had been carrying around, inside was a white button up shirt, a dark brown vest, and a pair of black dress pants with the shoes to go with it. He quickly stripped from his dark attire and replaced it with the clothes in the satchel. He finished buttoning his vest before packing away the Dreaded Crow clothes, save for the shoes. He made his way to a near by ledge, with shoes in hand, and peered over at the seemingly endless fall that laid before him. "Damn. These were my good pair of shoes too." He grumbled before dropping the shoes over the side, and out of Columbia. He then turned away from the edge he headed out into the street, smoothing back his hair as he did so. A smile appeared on the young man's face as he walked down the street, making sure to acknowledge every white man he passed. The young man was ordinary Leroy Bishop, a simple house servant who was now on his way back to Shantytown after a long day's work. He hummed the tune that every Columbian knew, the tune that was dedicated to the city's deadliest creation, as he made his way toward the lift that would take him to Shantytown.

After waiting for quite a few minutes the sound of people racking towards Jonathan could be heard and he took this as his time to run. He knew he just needed to get to the end of the hallway and he would be home free. He turned around once to see guards running towards him with guns at the ready but luckily they were to late. Jonathan opened a tear, jumped through as music played over the intercoms (that was the way they signalled an emergency with out getting all the captives riled up) and closed it behind him.

At first he was dazed by the sun. Then he realized it was the sun! The real warm ball of fire in the sky which he had missed so dearly. He got up from the ground and just stood there not realizing the stranger behind him who had just witnessed him jump out of thin air. The sun felt warm on his skin and he began to laugh a bit to himself.

They had slowed their travel once they made plenty of space between the old hideout and themselves, Dan asking where the two of them were going. Jeffery smiled and began to walk backwards, hands in pockets, as he answered, "Well Danny-boy, this part of town was a common hangout for yours truly in the years prior to being taken in by the Knights. During that time, I found that there were plenty places that were simple to get into if I needed a place to sleep or lay low for a day or two, but I had to be careful of certain... residences, and make sure I had escape routes if there was ever a problem."

He then made his way to an empty house a little further down the road, "This lovely elderly couple always go the first week of every other month to pray and hold baptisms for the followers of Comstock over at the big church. This will give us a good long night to rest while we wait out the current turmoil out on the streets, plus I keep a few extra items here in the attic, should have some first aid supplies to help you out. Youre not looking too good buddy."

Approaching the house, Jeff made his way over to the back, where a seemingly thrown out floor mat was laid. Lifting up the map, a set of lock picks, about six in all, laid there on the ground. He picked them up and went to the door, looking to make sure that no one was watching, went to work on the door. In no time, the 'click' of the door lock sounded and Jeff made his way in, motioning Dan to follow, but he seemed entranced by something and motioned him over to see. But when Jeff looked, he didnt see anything. Raising an eyebrow at his friend, he said "You sure you didnt hit your head when the Bronco wore off? Come on man, lets get in and get you patched up."

Dan stood a few feet away from the now open door, his mouth slowly closing from his earlier shock. He turned to face Jeff, his head shaking in denial "No, I-I saw something... I heard it too!" He pursed his lips and clenched his jaw angrily. He hadn't hit his head, and he wasn't going crazy. Whatever he saw, it was...spectacular. To say the least.

It was gone now, as far as Daniel could tell. There was no point in dwelling on it, if all it did was make him look all the more like a dimwit. He brushed his vest off, and stepped up the stairs carefully, stopping at the doormat and wiping his shoes. He tilted his head to Jeff, "What? It isn't our house after all. We could at least try to be somewhat courteous." He held his breath to gauge the pain as much as he could, and waltzed through the door, his back screaming at him.

Looking around at the house, it was actually rather nice, the old couple lived modestly, but, nicely. It wasn't extravagant, but it was comfy. Almost comfortable enough to help him forget about his pain. Almost. "So, how long do we have to wait it out here?" He asked curiously, wondering if the plans would change a little due to this. He hoped his injury hadn't become too much of a problem for the others.

Kennedy watched as Jeff and Dan took off in the opposite direction. She didn't waste any time in jumping on the skyline herself, knowing that the cop and his buddies would be scouring the area soon enough looking for all of them. She rushed off in a woosh and in seconds was traveling at top speed. The floating city levitated around her, and she debated on where she should go. But it didn't take her long to figure out the perfect place to lay low for the day. She leaped from the line she was on, falling several feet before her skyhook grabbed another.

When she neared her destination, she slowed down her speed. The metal ringing was heard as she jumped off the line, landing with a thud onto a boardwalk at Battleship Bay. She smoothed her blouse and skirt, then straightened her hair before continuing down the boardwalk. The beach was rather busy, as it usually was. Beach balls, umbrellas, lounge chairs, all strewn across the sand. Kennedy was certainly not dressed for the scenery, but she wasn't here to take a dip in the water.

Walking along the beach, she approached the tall fence that cornered off the populated beach, giving the area its perimeters. She looked over her shoulder, making sure she didn't have any onlookers, and then proceeded to feel along the wooden fence. Finally, she found what she was looking for, near the far back corner of the place. A board was loose on the fence. Kennedy carefully moved the plank to the side, and slipped behind it. She replaced the board and gave a satisfied nod, looking behind her to the emptied stretch of beach.

A lonely beach tent sat a few hundred feet away, and she began to stroll towards it. Inside she expected to find some supplies, left behind by her father and other Knights. A large image of Songbird was painted on the side of the tent, and Kennedy smirked. She checked once more, making sure she didn't have any unwanted visitors who may have followed her. The area was empty, except for her. This part of the beach was added area from when Battleship Bay was built, but it was sanctioned off after Comstock decided not so much space was needed. In the event of increased population, the fence could simply be torn down and rebuild to accommodate.

Kennedy neared the tent, and she bent down to brush sand and dirt off of her legs. When she looked back up, there was a man on the ground in front of her. She screamed, frightened by the sudden company. The man stood, then looked to the sky. Was he basking in the sun? But where did he come from? She knew that she was alone, she made sure of it... With a pounding heart, she drew the Hand Cannon from her waist and pointed it at the man. "Who the hell are you!? And where did you come from?" A stern expression gathered on her face as she tried to hide the shock and surprise that was trying to take over. Had this guy just poofed out of thin air? "Start talking buddy! I'm not afraid to use this thing."

Jeff thought a moment before replying to answer Dans question. "Shouldnt be too long, usually when cops go to check around they will just knock on the peoples doors asking around and warning the residences about 'criminals in the area'. Once they see this house is empty they'll move on pretty quickly. But come on, we need to get you upstairs, away from the windows." Jeff slowly began to assist Dan up the stairs, starting to get concerned about just how serious his injury was. Once they got up the stairs, jeff set him on the guest bed and made for the attic where the elders never went anymore, to get the stash of supplies he kept up there.

As he rummaged through the stash, a small piece of paper fell to the floor. Picking it up, he saw it was an i,age of his adopted father, along with himself and Kennedy as kids. They must've been no older than fifteen in this image yet he could remember it like it was yesterday, they were just heading out to grab some ice cream after a day of training, I was annoying Kennedy as usual, playing with her ponytails as she tried to smile nice for the camera. I smiled a little and held the image gently before folding it and pocketing the image, muttering gently to myself "Stay safe Kennedy... we'll be back soon."

Grabbing a couple medical kits and a little ammo for the two of them, he made his way back down, handing Dan ammo for his weapons and then proceeding to open up the med kit. "Alright buddy now where does it hurt?" Jeff had noticed the he would grab at his back from time to time, so perhaps a back brace would be needed too. But he would wait to see what Dan said before going on.

Waiting patiently and kicking his legs a bit, almost resembling a little boy, Dan glanced around the room he had been placed in. It was a dark red, almost a black. but somehow retaining it's color just enough to show through. He just hoped he wouldn't be adding anymore red to the bed right now, just to make sure of that, he placed his right hand over his lower spine, trying to apply pressure and stop the bleeding. The touch, even though it was expected, made him wince and suck in a sharp breath through clenched teeth. His amber gaze fell upon a grandfather clock, watching the chime within it swing back and forth, ticking. It made him sad somehow, he wasn't sure why, perhaps he had hit his head after all to be affected by such things. Or maybe, just maybe, he was being affected by something else... What it was, was unknown to the young man, but he would continue to ponder it until Jeff returned.

Still staring at the clock, he listened to the sound of footsteps coming closer, eventually lifting his gaze to meet with his friend's. Dan took the ammo that was handed to him gratefully, he didn't have as much on him as he would've liked, so this would do nicely. He inserted one clip into his hand canon, stowing the others into his vest sheathe. It was a slight embarrassment for him to be so...weak. He wasn't used to it, at all.

Upon hearing Jeff inquire where he hurt most, Dan responded by removing his hand from his back and tapping near the bloodstained area on his vest. "It's near the middle of my spine..." He winced a bit more, quickly covering it up with his well-known lopsided smirk. "The damn thing ruined my nice vest. It was a favorite of mine." He gave a lighthearted laugh, trying his best not to wince at the action. Covering up pain was a thing that Daniel had never truly been good at, in fact, he tended to wear most of his afflictions on his sleeves. It had cost him before, and he knew it would cost him again. What? He didn't know, and he hoped he would never find out. He owed a debt, so he came and joined the knights to pay it off, all because he was so damn clumsy with his emotions. Drinking had become a bit of a habit, and would always comfort him when he was in any kind of pain, physical or emotional.
So, what would be the pain of asking?

"Before we get to fixing my back...Do you think this ol' boy could have a drink?" He tilted his gaze to Jeff, giving a pleading look in his face. He didn't feel bad about begging, in fact that would definitely not be the lowest he had gone in order to get something he wanted, but hey, he really wanted that drink right about now. "I know they're old an all, but they must have something, right? Even wine would do me" He gave another wide, yet pained smile. "Please? For a friend?"

Jeff listened as he told him where it hurt the most, seeing the blood stain on his clothing. His brow furrowed in concern, hoping the injury didnt get to his spine and hopefully it was just a bad flesh wound, the fact Dan was able to walk at all was a relief. Of course he tried to cover up his pain, but it was in vain, he never was good at faking anyway. At least from what he had seen over the years. He was about to proceed with dressing the wound when Dan asked him... well, begged him for some kind of drink. Jeff fixed him with a hard look, hoping the guy wasnt planning on getting trashed, but he did realize a little would probably take the edge off the pain.

Jeff shrugged, "I guess I can find something. Old man has a pretty big collection so he wouldnt notice a little something missing, but dont let yourself get too far under, were moving the second you can walk on your own." He said to Dan as he got up and made his way to the kitchen downstairs. He grabbed a bottle of whiskey and a couple glasses. Hey, he was thirsty too ya know. He came back up and poured out some for Dan then one for himself, "Like I said, take it easy on the booze, now let me patch you up."

Jonathan suddenly heard something behind him that sounded awfully familiar. Sadly the sound was one of the very people he was trying to get to help him, yelling at him. He slowly turned around with his hands up as he looked to see the woman who he had seen at a few of the knights of songbird meetings he had managed to get a glimpse of. With all his effort he contained his excitement but it could easily be heard in his voice "Ma'am. I mean you no harm. I've just come to ask you and the others for a favour" he said shakily with excitement.

Even though she had a gun pointed at him, he wasn't very scared he knew he should be but for whatever reason he wasn't, whether it was the excitement of being free of rapture or the fact that he was closer to helping all those poor tout urged souls in that cursed testing facility in rapture.

Kennedy raised an eyebrow, still keeping the gun pointed ahead as the man spoke. "A favor? Look mister, you can't just pop out of no where and ask me for a favor!" She huffed. But as she looked at the man, she saw no sign of concern or worry. He had a gun pointed at his head, for Christ's sake! Slowly, she lowered her weapon. The excitement that radiated from the man confused her, considering just moments ago she was going to blow his brains across the beach. With a small sigh, she nodded. His disposition gave her just enough doubt to trust him, for now anyways...

"Okay, okay..." She placed the gun back at her waist, then crossed her arms in front of her. She looked the man up and down, puzzled. "You sure are dressed funny, mister. You work over at the theater or something? Ah, nevermind. C'mon over here." She motioned towards the tent, walking the few remaining feet to its entrance. She pulled open the makeshift door and walked in, scanning the area quickly to see what supplies she had here at her disposal. Kennedy took a seat on one of the wooden benches that were inside and looked at the man. "Okay buddy, I'll hear you out. But first you gotta tell me how you followed me. I am very careful at covering my tracks..."

Daniel couldn't help but smiler wider at the sound of alcohol. Sure, it probably wouldn't do any good for his better judgement, but hey, he was sure he'd manage. Though, the sound of being limited to just a glass Didnt settle well with him. At least he got something to take the edge off of his pain.

He took a quick glance through the medkit while Jeff left, once his eyes locked on the needle and thread, he immediately hoped his wound wasn't that deep. It hurt like hell, but just maybe, it wasn't that bad.

When Jeff returned with the whiskey under the crook of his arm, Dan couldn't help but devour it with his equally amber gaze. Well, the old man sure knew how to live in his retirement, that was for sure. He accepted the drink almost before it was offered, his lips parting eagerly to welcome the burning drink down his throat. After two or three sips, the pain had already lessened a tad, giving Dan all the more reason to drink. Dan eased down on the liquor though, quickly realizing if he didn't, he would pay dearly later. "Alright, I'll take it slow. But as soon as my back's patched, we should definitely book it" He added, waiting for the sting of cleansing alcohol to clean his wound. He didn't want to hold the Knoghts back anymore than he had already done today.

Now, Jeff liked alcohol as much as the next guy, he even didnt mind getting drunk from time to time, but when it came to Dan, he realized it was a little more than just a fancy to drink. However, as long as he kept an eye on his friend, he should be fine. After looking at the wound, he breathed a sigh of relief as it was only a flesh wound, no bone was touched minus the impact that left him pretty bruised. A couple lacerations near the center of the back that seemed to cut through a vein but other than that he expected much worse. After disinfecting the area, he pulled out the needle and thread. He began to patch up the deepest of the cuts, making sure not to fool around and get the job done right so Dan wouldnt have to endure it too long. As an added bonus, Jeff let Dan have one last swig of the whiskey, just enough to numb him up but keep his judgement from impairment.

"Almost finished old boy, just let me wrap you up here" muttered Jeff as he began to dress the wound with bandages, adding pressure to stop the bleeding and allowing easier movement while it healed. "The next chance you get, when things settle down for a bit, I would recommend letting the wound get a little air, keeping it wrapped too much will slow the healing, but its necessary right now since we gotta get going." Jeff said as he stood up and put away the medical kit, grabbing a fresher one to take along with them. He salvaged what ammo he could for his other friends for once they meet up, Jeff having saved up little stockpiles that he knew about only all around Colombia.

After finishing his own drink, he took the bottle and glasses, washing and placing away all that was used before grabbing the supplies and turning to Dan. "Alright, lets get moving. If I know Kennedy... and Im pretty sure I do for the most part... she will be at Battleship Bay. Damn, shoulda brought my swim gear. Oh well" said Jeff with his nonchalant smile as he made his way back down the stairs. Once he made sure the roads were clear, the two of them made a break for the tram, cranking the lever that activated the machine and took them toward the Bay.

Jonathan let out a small sign of relief when the woman lowered her weapon. He didn't want to start his adventure by defending himself against one of the very people he had come here to get to help. Jonathan followed her over to what seemed like a Knights of songbird outpost though he wasn't really sure. As they entered the tent the woman asked him how he followed her here. He didn't at first didn't get what she meant but then realized she must have thought that all he had done was follow her somehow "Ma'am I can assure you it was a complete accident that I happened to end up in front of you. I was lucky that I did end up here but I had planned to appear to the more crowded side of the beach wherever that is." He said as he looked around the tent.
