Personality: Akiko is a loner who loves to torment others, her main targets being those from a well-off background or those who seem happy all the time. She would insult them, pull pranks which can be overboard at times and when she is angry, she resorts to physical violence. She pushes away anybody who tries to get close to her by shouting, intimidating and sometimes hurting them. Akiko also has little respect for those with authority.
The only times Akiko is not being a mean delinquent or bully, if she encountered a person having a problem with a friend, she would comfort the person with a sweet and give her advice. However, she would threaten the person to keep it a secret.
Before all the tragedies in her life, Akiko was your normal cheerful girl who excels in physical activities and did well enough in her studies. She also has a hobby in writing which was shared by Youko but does not really write much anymore.
Equipment/Skills: Akiko is trained in martial arts by her father but she had forgotten most of it. However, her daily exercise routine keeps her in good fighting shape. She loves alternating between her fists and kicks when fighting.
Background: Akiko was from a rich family and her grandfather held a top position in a certain company dealing with electronics. Her father was a martial artist who trained her in self-defence in his spare time. Akiko had lots of friends due to her rich background but they all left her when her grandfather’s company went bankrupt and her family lost their fortunes after a failed investment. Akiko had to endure stares, rumours and was the subject of bullying. She realized they were only hanging around her because of her money.
Akiko was forced to transfer schools and eventually made new friends who liked her for who she was. She even gained someone she could call her best friend, Youko. She wished everything was back to normal however that was not the case. One day, she and her friends, met with Akiko’s schoolmates from her previous school. It turned into a brawl and Akiko lost Youko, who protected her from being stabbed. With the loss of her best friend, Akiko lost it and brutally injured her old schoolmates.
Akiko returned to school after some time at hospital and suspension. Everybody avoided her even her new friends whom she protected from her old schoolmates. It was revealed Youko was the one who persuaded them to befriend Akiko. Thus, Akiko lost faith in friendship and decided on to be a loner who looks after herself.
Akiko’s change into a delinquent sent her family into a frenzy. Her family started to treat harshly as well. She was then transferred to Warakuma for another fresh start however Akiko felt it was already too late and looks at the world with a negative outlook. The only thing she looks forward to is visiting Youko’s grave every evening after school.
Her parents now run a general store in the Shopping District and her grandfather is a janitor at the school though she always avoids him.
