Name: Marcus Thanis
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Magic User Type: Wizard
Appearance:

(the second one is for facial reference)
Personality:
Marcus is easily intrigued by all things mysterious in the world, be it magic, Monster, lore, history or even rumor. However very few things hold his attention for very long.
The problem was never difficulty, be it easy or hard. There where just so many other things interesting in the world, that he simply forgot the previous when he uncovered the next. His constantly moving from one focus to the next does however mean his knowledge is broad, even if shallow at times, and his wisdom has aged well beyond his years.
Cryptic by default and joker in his own way, Marucs in more known to deal in half-truths than straight up lies and facts.

Powers: As with most wizards, Marcus is known to possess a wide variety of powers, however he has always favored 'useful' spells over the powers of destruction.
As a result, he is rarely seen wielding any magical spells aside from traps, defensive walls and wards and simple illusions.
If he had a signature spell, it would be his ability to quickly sort trough the contents of any book by simply touching them, manipulate/erase the parts of interest or instantly copy them over to any other book nearby.

Skills/Talents: Among his most trusted skills are his abilities to strategist, trick and his ability to quickly look at a problem from many different angles. He also considers himself wise and knowledgeable

Equipment/weapons: Generally being dressed in old monk robes, and not much else, there is only one item he posses that would generally be considered noteworthy: Marcus posses a giant, old looking arcane-tome, generally seen dangling from a sturdy cord, tossed over is shoulder. Inside this heavy looking book there are numerous spells, lores and bestiary entries collected over the years. It is neither magical or enchanted in any way, although its contents are poorly sorted and anyone other than himself would have a painfully difficult time to divulge any useful information from this great book. Even though it is a huge book, the fact that its not magical means there is only a limited amount of space inside. As such, only the most interesting bits of information are stored inside.

Bio: Marcus is the only son of the great Sage known as Agerius Thanis. Agerius possessed great knowledge and wisdom and was famous for advising and guiding several nobles and kings, including both the current King of pantos and the one before him, to fame and fortune. As such, his name was known far and wide, to the point where even commoners respected him as if he was a living god, constantly looking for his advice. For all his wisdom however, It took him over 80 years (and probably a little bit of magic) to father a single son, Marcus.

Way before that however, Agerius had made his home inside a great library in the kingdom of Pantos, where he remained until the day he died. The library was filled with ancient and rare books. Some of them he had found himself, but most where gifts from all the people he had helped in his lifetime. As such Marcus was always surround by books and knowledge. Some books where mundane, others held the secrets of far away lands. There was enough there to provide several lifetimes worth of reading material. Some of it exciting, most of it interesting. Growing up, he may even have spent more time reading then socializing, playing or even studying.

7 years ago, at the outstanding age of 103 Agerius died of old age. Leaving everything he owned, including his great library, to his only son. One his death bad, Agerius pleaded with Marcus to take his place, and help guide the world. But until this day, Marcus has yet to do so. Generally keeping himself hold up in his great library.

after 7 years, even with all his greatness, the name of Thanis is slowly being forgotten, written down as a side-note in the history books, erased from memory by all but a few.

Marcus Thanis is accepted. The idea isn't bad. It could use some elaboration and some tweaking is definitely in order, but I like it. However, if you do decide to switch over to a warlock, make sure to let me know so that I can change which of those is still available. I'll look forward to seeing the complete version.

Monochromatic: I was just envisioning a big burly guy with wild hair and a beard or something. Lol It's nice to see you didn't go for the typical. It shows imagination. ^_^

Name: Mia Lane

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Magic User Type: Water Mage

Personality: Upbeat, fun-loving, and perpetually optimistic, Mia hates sadness and tears. She likes to joke and sometimes finds it hard to be serious. She is naïve and sweet natured, until one of her loved ones is hurt. Then stay out of her way.

Powers: The ability to manipulate water, ice, and steam. She can also manipulate other liquids with water content. She can pull enough water from the air to form something small, but nothing much of significance. She is just now learning the art of manipulating someone’s blood, as she’s only ever tried to do so once so she has not mastered it.

Skills/Talents: Cooking, hand to hand combat, recall anything she's ever seen within seconds

Equipment/Weapons: A bag of basic toiletries, a few utensils for food and matches, 2 knives (one for fileting with, one for cutting brush), a bow & a couple arrows (used to fish with), a bottle of water.

Bio: Mia grew up with just her mother, her father having gone off to fight in some god forsaken war and dying. She has 2 brothers, her older brother Tak and a younger brother Kai. Her older brother has some minor healing abilities while her younger has no extraordinary abilities. Mia began to learn and develop her abilities from a young age, her mother telling her how her father had the same gifts. Her mother didn’t know much about how to use such a skill, but there was another in their village, an old woman, who taught her father and now taught Mia. She learned quickly, but one thing the woman told her was that water was the source of life. Therefore, it was never to be used as a weapon. Mia was naïve enough to say she understood at the time, but with age perspective changes. Naivety fades.

A few months ago, her village was attacked by some raiders. She disobeyed her teacher and used her abilities as weapons over and over again, trying to get people out, put out fire, save whomever she could. She saw her family, her mother and brothers, running off. She can only assume they are alright. But she did manage to see the slaughtering of the elderly woman when she refused to let the raiders into her home. Mia tried to help her, but it was too late. And the last look the woman gave her was one of pity. As if she pitied Mia for the choices she was making, instead of her own which resulted in her death. Mia was furious and tried to kill the ones that hurt the woman by drawing their blood out from them forcefully, then by trying to turn it into steam. The men writhed and cried out til the passed out, but they did not die. She had never even tried the ability before, and it was fueled by her intense rage. Once her anger began to fade, she felt a bit sick about what she’d tried to do, and the fact that so many she knew were dead. She grabbed a few things she could manage to find and ran and has been running, hoping to find her family once more.

Name: Viktor de Masca

Gender: Male

Age: 28

Magic User Type: Warlock

Personality: Viktor is cynical and quite roguish. He doesn't believe in the fundamental goodness of human nature. And he tends to see altruism as either folly or deception. That is not, however, to say that he is always rude or cruel. He can be. But he'd much rather have a good time. Wine, women, song, the terrified screams of a host who awakens to find that his bed and himself are now on the ceiling. Such things are the essence of life.

Powers: Primarily focused on reality manipulation. Especially practiced at effecting people's bodies and unlocking doors. He is also quite decent with cursing and more than one who attempted to slander him found their own tongues soon betraying them as they could no longer speak without revealing some humiliating or incriminating truth about themselves. Hexing is his least practiced ability. Although he can do it if pressed. Maybe. It's simply not as straightforward to him as the more specific works like curses or the alteration of reality.

Skills/Talents: Alertness, Stealth, Athletics, Subterfuge, Politics, Drinking and Playing Tricks.

Equipment/Weapons: An steel cane which also serves as his primary weapon in melee combat. A small dagger. Fashionable clothes. An ornate silver flask filled with vintage brandy.

Bio: Viktor was born into a decadent noble family who'd all but squandered away the last of their house's wealth and made enough enemies to effectively lessen their privilege. Viktor was raised among the loss of wealth and power. And he resented his parents for it. The fact that he had inherited his father's magical abilities made him even more unwelcome among other nobility. If not for his mother's title, he would have been entirely shunned by high society.

As it was, he attended a university and became adept and both magical and social manipulation. He attended the gatherings of many nobles and impressed many with wit and charm. When that failed, he resorted to little "tricks". These tricks were sometimes magical and at other times mundane. But they always left himself and the majority of others laughing cruelly at their target.

As it is he is a low standing lord known for his debaucherous family and his endless shenanigans, even moreso than he is known for his magical aptitude. And he likes it just fine that way. It's easier to attend parties of higher nobility when they think of you as to preoccupied with hedonism and having a good laugh to have learnt how to turn them into toads.

Tweaked Lux's cs. Here are the changes:

Lux's biological father is a nomad seer who tricked her mother into spending a night with him. The nomad seer was also her parents' murderer.

Mia Lane is accepted. I feel I should tell you that milk is a liquid that does not have water in it, so you cannot control it. Blood, on the other hand, as well as any other liquid composed of a mix of water and something else, can be controlled so long as it retains liquid form. Only water and blood are able to be frozen or evaporated. Also, I'd like a more detailed explanation as to how she retains "vast amounts of knowledge.

Viktor de Masca is accepted. The only thing I have an issue with in your character is his cane. I realize you attempted to dumb it down, but the simple fact is that manipulating metal isn't one of the warlock's powers. You can have a cane that is also a sword, or perhaps some other tool, but you cannot change it at will.

There are only five spots left. If by the end of tomorrow there are three or less left, I will take control of the remaining spots however I see fit. So, if you want to play the Summoner, Necromancer, Sorcerer, Earth Mage or Air Mage, you have one day left to claim it.

Eagerly awaiting nerf-bat. Will be pleasantly surprised if it passes as is.

Name: Damien Graves
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Magic User Type: Necromancer

Appearance: Damien,, as most people tend to notice rather quickly, does not look his “age”; looking more in his early twenties than mid-thirties. Standing quite tall, 6’2, with vibrant red hair, Damien is quite easily noticeable. Purple eyes constantly scrutinize whatever holds his attention, but otherwise aren’t too expressive. His attire lends itself more to a wandering adventurer than some Necromancer, but that isn’t too far from the truth actually.

Personality: Damien is essentially a free spirit at heart, who places his own freedom above all. Without any goals in mind, he almost always acts based on his whims. When he does decide on a course of action, he’s decisive and doesn’t bother with hesitation, though that’s no guarantee he’ll actually see it through to the end. His word is also essentially no good as he's more than willing to break promises, or lie if it serves him well. Damien isn't malicious or even ill-meaning in the end though, he simply wishes to bear witness and participate in the most interesting things he can find. His sense of morality, surprisingly, is also rather normal. While he's more willing to bend and break them, there are lines that he doesn't cross. If there was one redeemable quality about him, it would probably be the fact that he handles anger very well. Grudges are a rare thing on Damien's part, and he's quick to calm if he ever gets riled up.

Powers: Could be considered a master of Necromancy at this point. He's achieved a state reminiscent of a Lich, a feat that alone showcases his skill. With a phylactery that holds his soul, his current body is essentially an animated puppet. While still “living”, it no longer requires sustenance, feels no pain, and can recover from “fatal” wounds with little more than time and energy. To truly kill Damien, his phylactery must be damaged enough that it no longer can hold his soul.

Though capable of raising a considerable amount of Undead, he has chosen to devote his energy towards two Death Knights that he employs. While quantity does have its own sort of quality, a horde of Undead minions doesn’t cater to his lifestyle.

He was the greatest warrior Damien had the privilege of meeting. Against the monsters that stalked his village, he fought, bled, and died. Seeking only the safety of those he knew, he threw away many things for them; glory, wealth, fame, and his life. Though in life he failed to assure their safety, in his undeath he gave them vengeance. Though heavily clad in armor, Knight’s movements are nonetheless graceful and precise, a deadly dance of death.

She pursued him relentlessly, unable to stomach his foul existence. He gave her a single chance to escape her damnation. She did not take it. Now, in death, she serves as one of his greatest creations; a twisted fate for one such as her. A heavy-handed fighter, Death cares little for finesse and favors brute force that smashes aside opposition.

Skills/Talents: Swordplay. Despite his skill as a magic user, Damien is no slouch if he must wade through a melee. With two powerful warriors at his command, it’s not as if he lacked “teachers". The fact that his body is only a shell, and can be healed means he isn't frail like other magic users either.
He’s multilingual, and quite capable of conversing in most major languages. While certain regional dialects might escape him, he’s not going to be lost if he steps outside of Pantos.

Equipment/Weapons: A short sword sheathed to the back of his waist. It is of good make and material, but otherwise unremarkable.
His phylactery. A unique and rather expensive piece, it's a ruby with the inside hollowed out and filled with Damien's blood. Mostly surrounded by a layer metal for additional protection, the material hinders the connection between phylactery and body. As a result, it must be kept closer than usual to Damien. Breaking it requires powerful magic as it is immune to most physical damage.
A not-so small sum of currency and other valuables. While he has little material need or greed, such is not the case for most people. So he keeps it around for when he needs others to do something for him.

Bio: Born far from Pantos, his parents were both Necromancers so it wasn’t much of a surprise that he turned out to possess the same magic. Given the nature of their powers, they lived in the wilderness far from any civilization. People generally didn’t look on the animation of what possibly may have been a loved one’s remains too kindly. Damien on the other hand grew up surrounded by spirits and corpses in various stages of decay, so he held no such reservations. Diving into the practice of his magic at a young age, his parents weren’t troubled by their sons seeming skill in raising the dead.

There was only so long that a child could stay with their parents though, and that time came all the sooner for someone as isolated as Damien. Yearning for more interaction, he set off on a journey and left his parents to continue their research into Necromancy. That was quite some time ago…

Despite various setbacks that inevitably resulted from living under parents that were shunned by most of society and a lack of interaction outside of them, eventually Damien managed to figure things out. Not that he really had a choice given he was basically on the run from the authorities at that point, and had to escape to another kingdom. At least during that period he managed to get his societal norms and okays down pat.

Ever since then, he’s basically been wandering without stop. He doesn’t stay for more than a month in any area before moving on, save for the year he spent preparing for the ritual that would change him into what he currently is. Still, how could he turn down an invitation from the King himself? Hopefully the man has some interesting things to say that are worth his time.

Name: Khor Karakas

Gender: Male

Age: 21

Magic User Type: Summoner

Appearance:

Personality: Khor is extremely optimistic and is really hard to dissuade. Once he sets his mind on something, he always seeks to be able to accomplish that task. He is slow to anger, but once he does, he has difficulty in controlling his emotions. Khor is known for his tendency to be informal with others, even when the audience is a king or whatnot. He simply just doesn't care about royalty, and doesn't even believe in the power of the crown. Khor simply obeys because of necessity and excitement. As such, he doesn't use formal words, and instead uses colloquial language, and never addresses anyone as 'King' or 'Highness'. Khor does respect power, which is the only reason he respects the king. He is quickly bored though, and will often find new things to do when a certain deed is proving to be too monotonous or repetitive.

Powers: Shackle of Dominions
-Khor is a summoner, and as such, he can shackle beings from the other dimensions to do his bidding. Although young, Khor is regarded as a fearsome and talented summoner who can pull from the Aether demons that should be feared. However, Khor does have his limits. At most, Khor can summon up to 3 beings. Summoning more than 3 would mean that he is already consuming his own life force; he can die from over-summoning. If a summon is defeated, it returns to the dimension from whence it came, and Khor cannot summon it for a certain time; the more powerful the summon, the more time needed before Khor can summon it again. When Shackling creatures for his bidding, Khor needs two things: the blood of the creature, and the creature's willingness to serve him. This means that if the creature is not willing to serve Khor, he cannot summon it, no matter how hard he tries.

*Will add more summons as Khor explores the world

Skills/Talents:
1. Enhanced Senses: Being blind, Khor was able to make due with his other senses. By relying on hearing, he can still fight using swords, and even deflect attacks. His sense of smell has also been improved, causing it to be stronger than normal humans.
2. Swordsmanship: Khor, although blind, is still a talented swordsman. He can hold his own against two or three enemies, however, he still gets tired, and prolonged duels will always make him defeated.
3. Meditation: Khor is exceptional in meditation, and as such, he can easily ease his mind and heart out of many troubles. This is particularly useful when he feels himself getting too loose with his emotions.

Equipment/Weapons:
1. A light longsword which hangs on his waist.
2. Two flasks of water.
3. A grey cloak which he wears all the time.
4. Two flasks of Curing Potion
5. A Walking Stick

Bio: Being born blind wasn't the best of choices when it comes to poverty. As such, when his family knew that he was blind, Khor was quickly abandoned. How would a blind person make a living in Pantos? The blind child was left to the care of a hermit who lived outside of the kingdom, and there in the forests, the child was given a gift. It was a walking stick! The child grew fond of the stick, and treated blindness as nothing more than night eternal. The hermit taught Khor many truths of the world, including magic, and it was on this particular day that the hermit left Khor with another gift for him to survive alone in the forests; the hermit gave him the gift of Summoning. The hermit was actually a summoner, and he imparted his knowledge to the child. No, he didn't GIVE him any power, he nurtured the already existent arcane energy within Khor. This would mean that Khor's parent/s is/are actually summoners. The years went by as Khor became more and more proficient with summoning magic, being able to summon up to three when the hermit could only bear up to 2. His life changed when trespassers delved into their forest... Khor was roaming around the woods with the Hound when suddenly, they detected a disturbance.

In a flash, Khor and the hound went there (the Hound more or less, guided Khor). Khor heard the familiar voices of people who were probably arguing. It was his family! His brothers voices might have changed, but the same attitude was present there. His mom, dad... everyone! Khor quickly revealed himself, saying that he was their son. However, the family had already forgotten about Khor; they attacked him. They were indeed a family of mages, and while Khor was badly beaten up, he refused to fight the family that had abandoned him yet he loved so much.

However, he heard another voice: the hermit. The hermit had also appeared and began to fight against his family. Khor was too groggy to be of any help, however, his weakness was dispelled when he heard a blood-curling cry: the hermit's. The hermit was dead... A fury within Khor rose to his throat... he felt sick, he felt hot. His blind eyes only saw red, and his ears only heard screams. With a sorrowful cry, Khor channeled the deepest of his summons, bringing forth one of his most feared shackles: the Djinn of Torn Hope. The Djinn ravaged his family, killing everyone... even the 5 year old sister. Khor emerged from the fight stained with blood... there was blood on the lower half of his face, and his arms that never came off. Was it a curse? Perhaps. No matter what he did, the blood would never come off from his body. So, he wrapped his face and the affected body parts in cloth in order to hide the murder that he committed.

As they say, when one screams in the forest, only the roots could hear. The family's murder was never leaked, and no one knew about their disappearance. However, much like scars, Khor's guilt still gnawed at him. In order to relieve himself of such vile torment, he opted to redeem himself by doing something for his kind... He needed to wash off the many instances of guilt that he had allowed to stain his body and soul a long time ago.

Thought I was within the rules on that one. For all that, though, I'll just have him wield the cane itself and be fairly effective with blunt weapons. Just for clarity, though, you mind spelling out the limitations of warlocks' reality manipulation a bit more?
