I'm back. Apologies for having been gone so long. My school didn't really inform us about exams until the last minute, so I ended up cramming and forgetting that I had posted this. Now that those are done (and that I've been informed by Pepperm1nts that people are interested), I'll be able to remain far more active.

In regards to the suggestions so far-I definitely agree that, at minimum, there should be a sort of galactic 'congress', if you will-a time every so often during while major nations (and perhaps corporate entities, if they are influential enough) meet to discuss political, economic, and social issues, and similar sorts of things.

I'm also currently looking into ways I can nudge everyone towards interacting with others, outside of making some big bad villain. I'm trying to find natural events that could cause problems.

Also, I'll volunteer to be a sort of minor antagonist. Something that presents a constant threat for nations. The Rampaging Space Bugs I mentioned(unless you say otherwise, then I'll go with something else)

Awesome, glad this is going to be going on. Not sure what exactly my nation will be yet; I'm still thinking it through, though I do have a few ideas.

I'm interested but have to knit pick one thing. We won't reach subluminal flight by 2050 by any stretch of the imagination.

With relatively large amounts of experience GMing these types of RPs I'd happily share some of my plot devices if you want them :)
Nation thoughts: I have three I've never gotten to fully RP. The Free State, The Technocracy and the All Party. I'll likely see what other people do and bring on of those three, adapted to the setting and with the intention of filling any variety void that may exist.

Am I one of the points of the satanic star used in said ritual?

Also, if the Stoor were in my RP. And I'm pretty sure they were. My bad. Work basically destroyed my life along with education I was 9-9 a day.

But now I'm free as a bird again.

I suggest everyone in this roleplay invest heavily in penetration-proof markets.

If such a thing is possible that is.

OT: I'll throw my hat into this one I guess, but knowing my horrendous track record with NRPs, I'll just end up raging out at something and consequently leaving the roleplay.

More OT: Considered using the Initiative, but that's nowhere near ready for RPing. I'll probably use the faction I ran in VotS, but they were extremely antagonistic and prone to waging wars of extermination upon species that drew to close to any star or planetary system that they directly or indirectly controlled.

EDIT 2: The presence of Darkmatter and Terminal is likely to attract the attentions of Iso, Serp and Monkeypants.

With those three will come a particular piece of technology that's guaranteed to make me rope myself.
