"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the 250th Budokai World Tournament! The results from yesterday's preliminary matches are in and today will be the day you've all been waiting for! Hundreds of years of tradition have all led to the culmination of this monumental tournament, where the first time in history the prize is all seven legendary Dragon Balls!"

The small, blonde-haired man adjusted his sunglasses, before spinning around with the microphone still up to his mouth. Standing in the middle of the concrete stage, he had the attention of the entire crowd. At his display of minimal dance acrobatic skills, the crowd burst into an uproar of cheering and whooping.

"The strongest fighters in the world are only thirty minutes away from duking it out right before your very eyes! And I, your host Jake Starr, will provide tongue-in-cheek commentary on the entire tournament! And noooooow! It is time to introduce the contenders for the champion title!"

A large, hovering robot with helicopter blades floated up above the stage. Four large screens formed from it's sides, three facing the crowd sections and one facing the fighter's building. Inside the fighter's resting area were several windows that allowed them to watch the fights, but now it would serve to allow them to watch the tournament's opening ceremony.

"Our first fighter is a recurring contender known for making it to the finals in the last two years! Give it up foooor Teemo!" On the screen appeared an orange, humanoid creature with an upturned nose that appeared almost as if it was squished in. "And his opponent in the first round is the first of many newcomers! Please welcoooome... David!" A picture of a young man with spiky black hair wearing a cyan scarf. With the announcement of the first match-up, the crowd began cheering again.

"The second fight of the day features an eclectic fighter for justice! Ultra-Dimension will be taking the stage!" An image of the sentai warrior appeared on the screens, in a pose typical of his antics. "His opponent is the oldest fighter of the tournament! It took ten minutes to wake him up for his picture so don't miss it! Master Shin Zen!" An image of an old man with long grey hair and an equally long beard appeared on the screen. He had an expression of tired surprise.

"The third fight of the first round brings us a cat fight! Give it up fooor Chikori!" The image of the young saiyan girl appeared on the screens. "Aaaand her opponent... Coco!" Another young girl appeared on the screen, also sporting a tail and black hair. Though not shown side-by-side, the two appeared similar in stature. A comparison the previous two match-ups lacked.

"The fourth fight will be including the man you've all been waiting for! The last returning veteran and the World Champion four years in a row! Jack Ryaaaaaan!" The ever-so recognizable face of the World Champion appeared on the screens. At the sight of his green hair and red headband, the crowd burst into an uproar louder than any before. Only after a moment could the crowd simmer down enough for the host to continue. "And his opponent will be the first of two Namekians to make it past the preliminaries! Good luck to our new neighbor... Fenro!" The image of a large Namekian dressed in black took the screens.

"The fifth match will be featuring the stuff of nightmares! Our very own clown fighter, who also does birthday parties... Slapstick!" A skinny man dressed in colorful orange and yellow garb with bright red hair and a painted face took the screen. The cheering was noticeably less intense than all the other fighters so far. "And his opponent is the second Namekian to enter the tournament. Introducing... Guls!" The Namekian with red face-paint appeared on the screen, earning as much cheers as the other fighters. Inside the fighters' resting area, a clown couldn't help but feel a bit miffed.

"The sixth battle today will be between the one and only Majin of the tournament... Light!" The face of the white Majin female appeared on the screens, featuring her blue antennae. "And she will be battling an ironically named man that seems relatively unaware of the joke. Give it up for Tiny!" Compared to the much smaller person on the screen before, the hulking man named Tiny appeared on the screen. Though the focus was supposed to be on his face, it seemed almost as if he was more muscle than man.

"The seventh fight of the day features another visitor to Earth! He's as pink as he is clever! Give a warm welcome to our local Plantian... Shady!" The pink alien appeared on the screens now. Despite the entire crowd having never heard of Plantians before, they still gave a loud cheer upon his introduction. "His opponent had to defeat his own brother in the preliminaries! What a tragic tale! So here is James Nock!" A relatively young human male with short brown hair and a red gi appeared on the screens, notably being the only fighter so far to pose with a cocky grin rather than a regular smile or a straight face.

"And the final bout of the first round! The closing match of the first round will feature a fighter that I'm placing my bets on! Purely for his name! Our second-to-last contender... Meat!" The image of a short but incredibly muscular man appeared on the screens. He has so far been the only picture so far where the entire fighter was shown rather than the bust or upper-body, emphasizing his shortness. "And the last contender! Give it up for Vetro!" Almost like an opposite of the previous picture, a tall and lanky human was shown on the screens.

Now each of the screens divided into sixteen smaller parts, so every single contestant could be seen at once. "These are the fighters that will be participating in the ultimate tournament! The most legendary Budokai championship is underway! Who will have their wish granted!? Will Jack Ryan take a fifth victory!? Will Teemo finally step out of Jack's shadow!? Or will any of the plethora of new faces take the title!? We will find out today, folks! Get your drinks and grab your popcorn! The first match will begin in twenty-five minutes!" The crowd erupted into a roar of cheers and hollering as the host walked off the concrete stage with his usual flair.
The fighters' rest area could hear the crowd quite well, though it was somewhat muffled by the walls. The room was fairly large with a long dining table with various foods on one end and an open section by the windows to make spectating easier. All sixteen fighters were in this room now, doing their various activities before the tournament. The world champion, Jack Ryan, was standing by the windows watching the whole ceremony. With its conclusion, he turned to look at the other fighters here.

This year is different. A whole new crowd has gathered for this tournament. These guys are strong, so I'll have to stay at the top of my game, he thought to himself, before spying the large Namekian he was scheduled to fight. With a friendly smile on his face, he approached the big green man. At a distance the size difference was less significant, but standing next to Fenro proved that the Namekian was quite taller than he was. An important detail to remember for their future fight. "Ahem," he cleared his throat, an effort to get Fenro's attention.

"So we will be fighting in the first round. This seems to be your first time fighting in the Budokai World Tournament, so I understand if you might be a bit nervous fighting in front of such a crowd. But don't let that get to your head. If you've made it this far, you're one of the best, so you have to prove that to the rest of the world," Jack spoke to him, taking the veteran-to-rookie approach with the Namekian. But in return, Fenro only spared him a single glance, before letting his gaze go back out the window. With a sigh, Jack leaned against the wall. "Stoic type. I get it. Good luck out there. I won't be going easy on you so you should stay at the top of your game." The Namekian looked back down at Jack. In a deep, rough voice, not surprising given his appearance, Fenro responded. "Likewise." Something about his tone made Jack nervous, and considering the guy didn't seem to like talking he figured it would be better to meet the rest of the warriors.

The world tournament, a great competition to show the world's greatest fighter. While no one would ever be able to rival the great Mr. Satan, there were a fair amount of fighters here. Light looked around the room, gazing at all the fighters that had made it to this stage in the tournament. Fortunately she was the only majin who had entered the tournament, the rest couldn't handle trying to potentially live up to Mr. Satan's legacy. Light however, didn't really care about any of that. If she won, she won, but she was mostly there just for fun. Plus the prize money could get her quite a few things that would come attached guilt free.

Light noticed the current champion talking to one of the namekians, who just gave him cold acknowledgement in return. She then gazed over at the sayan fighters. She didn't care much for their tails, as they didn't make much sense to her, but she waved to them with a cheery hello all the same before walking on. Unfortunitally she was unable to find her opponent, the mountain of meat named Tiny. She wasn't scared of him, but Light wanted to check him out anyway, to see if he fell into a steriotype or not. After looking for a minute or so, she gave up and sat down on one of the benches, waiting for something to catch her interest.

David couldn't believe his luck not only was he fighting in the first match, his opponent was considered the second best fighter on the planet. [i] "No matter if I win or lose as long as I put up a good fight this match will be when my dream becomes reality."/i] The tailless Saiyan decided to look for Teemo and tell how glad he was with this arrangement but he couldn't see the orange alien anywhere. He did see the current champion Jack talking to the Namekian he would fight though, and considered asking for advice on how to win his match.

He quickly decided against it though since he felt it would give him an unfair advantage and wondered what else he could do to kill time. He was more than willing to chat with any of the other contestants but had no idea if they were interested Eventually he decided to risk it and walked up to one of the fighters. "Can you believe it? We're among the sixteen best fighters on Earth!"

hmmm...yes. It seems there are several hearts of excellent purity and potential here, though only the tournament will show for sure... The thoughts of the man in the deep-green cloak were interrupted as David spoke up.

"Not the sixteen best on Earth, child, only the sixteen best to show up to the tournament this year." The voice of Guls came out slightly muffled by his face-concealing veil, but he managed to keep any hint of a condescending veteran out of his tone despite how much he felt it at the moment. It was true that many talented fighters from across the world and occasionally beyond gathered here at the Budokai World Tournament, in fact that was Guls reason for competing himself. However, in his many, many years wandering the Earth as the Green Swordsman, he had encountered many strange and skilled fighters knowledgeable of styles of combat the majority of people here would never have heard about, all of them highly dangerous and possessed of secrets that would likely astound the fighters here, skilled though they were.

Passing on knowledge of such secrets was Guls true motivation in being here. As the Green Swordsman, it was known in some very specific circles that he was master of a certain school of obscure and mystic martial arts, and though his nature as a Namekian meant he had a long time to go before he truly felt the effects of aging he had been feeling the need to pass on his knowledge and experience to the next generation as his master had done before him nearly eighty years ago now.

But the students chosen for the next generation tof his school shouldn't be just anyone. So Guls had come here, to the Budokai World Tournament, where he hoped to find young warriors who were not just skilled or strong but also possessed certain characteristics to make them ideal students to carry on his master's legacy. The Green Swordsman not always a well-known figure, for though he wandered the Earth fighting against evil and oppression he never did so for fame, and at times his actions had earned him the hatred of those in power rather than their praise. But at the tournament he intended to reveal much about himself and what he could do, enough to hopefully attract the eyes of potential disciples before it was all over. For though he knew not what they were, somewhere in his being he sensed that there were great changes lying in wait for the world and that a new generation must be prepared to face them.

"Still, your right that it is an honor to be in the Tournament. A show of your potential such as this can often lead to greater things if you're careful."

Shady was an oddity, even in a room with a Majin, a Namekian, and the typical weirdos who showed up to these martial arts tournaments. Just over two feet tall and with skin so pink it would give a Majin a headache, he was doing his best to look like he was trying (but failing) to be intimidating, scowling out the window. This was accomplished by standing on a stack of phonebooks he'd scrounged up, giving his eyestalks just enough clearance to see out. These grizzfarbs wouldn't know what hit them in that tournament- he was short, he was pink, and he didn't look too strong. But he was one of the best students at the dojo back home, even if he was outclassed in raw strength. Yeah, strength was all well and good, but it was delnuts compared to technique as far as he cared.

Listening keenly to Gul and David's exchange, another fighter stepped forth. "Hmm.... Guls, if I may have a moment of your time?" Ultra-Dimension strode with a bearing of purpose over to the taller warrior, if you went by eye level. Ultra-Dimension kept his neck mostly stiff, but looked up slightly so that Guls could tell that even through Ultra-Dimension's visor, Ultra-Dimension was looking him in the eye.

"Your bearing reminds me of a certain Green Swordsman I've heard about, who really cleaned up Area 89 during the Belurel Riots. Might you be the same person?" The helmet tilted slightly in question, before Ultra-Dimension extended a hand for a shake. "If so, I'd like to thank you. I would have loved to assist you if I had been on Earth at the time of that crisis."

If Guls showed interest and admitted to being the Green Swordsman, Ultra-Dimension had one more line for him. "However, as I analyzed the footage, I noticed that you seem to be deadlier without the sword than with. As a samurai's sword is his honor and his strength, his sign of loyalty and tool of justice, I'll admit to being puzzled. If my question is not too intrusive, why do you wield the sword?"

Noticing a gathering of some fighters, one of them in a full costume, Light decided to meander over. She was mostly interested in the guy with the superhero costume, though the namekian swordsman could be entertaining. She didn't care much about the sayan, they often acted barbaric, and not in the cool way whne they were around her.

"Heya, I saw all you guys gathered over here and decided to say hello!" Light said, looking over the human in the superhero costume. inspecting him closer, she concluded that it was alright, but was missing a sort of flare to really make it remarkable, and promptly lost a vast amount of interest in him. She remarked at how he was missing some sort of symbol on his costume, and how weird the green color scheme was under her breath.

"So... Who are you all fighting? I'm fighting the giant mountain of meat, who apparently isn't anywhere near here, go figure." She said with a shrug, looking over the other two guys. The sayan actually looked somewhat intelligent, but she figured he had to be to get this far, or very powerful. The namekian however seemed to be very.... Light could only describe it as weary, or tired. Of course Light didn't know any of them, as she only paid attention to the big screen when her name was called, so she couldn't address any of them by name.

Popcorn was tossed towards him from his left, hitting him on the side of the face. His friend Cade had no aim and not even the strongest of boasting could change that. He shook his spiky black hair of the kernel before leaning forward on the rail to get a better sight of the contestants in the rest area.

Nel couldn't explain the luck of spotting two people just up and leaving prime-time seats, he wasn't going to overlook the blessing. Before he had known it, he had guided Cade through the crowd of fight enthusiasts and claimed them for his own. With such a thick gathering of people, he was sure they wouldn't be able to find their seats again anyway. They were on the right side of stadium, the structure offering shadow from the sun.

“They all seem freaking badass,” said Cade as he leaned forwards with him. “That Light chick especially. Ohhh man, don't get me wrong but she's hot. The Chiroki girl is cute too. Which one would you go out with?”

Nel shrugged his shoulders. Usually he would had answered the brown haired, freckled youth, but he was distracted by the urge to join the fray. On the way inside he had spotted a mechanical punching bag alone and unguarded, it didn't take much convincing from his mind to try it out. With a hard jab he found out he would had qualified for the preliminaries. A odd sense of elation and self-rejecting had surged up in him.

It made no difference though, soon the fights would start and he'd get to see some awesome combat. Sitting back down in the dry stoned bleacher, he folded his arms over his clothes, tightening them to hamper his adrenaline. “I hope they don't disappoint.”

“If they do its your own fault. You made us skip class just to attend,” chuckled Cade.

He let out two dry laughs from his throat. “You didn't have to tag along. You just wanted to get out of doing your work is all,” he smiled.

Something slightly approaching a smile touched Guls face for a brief second as he shook the hand of the young man dressed like a superhero. If nothing else, it was nice to know that a desire for justice still burned in some of the youth of today, however misguided it might be. More than that, his questions were surprisingly insightful, not only deducing his identity in full but also noting the discrepancy between Guls' weapon and his skill. Perhaps this 'Ultra-Dimension' would warrant keeping an eye on despite his odd appearance.

"I hadn't planned on announcing it during the tournament and I took pains not to inform the announcer of my identity so that the crowd and the others here wouldn't form any opinions ahead of time. But since you found me out I admit I am the same Guls that goes by the title Green Swordsman in many parts of the world, and I do remember stopping to deal with some serious problems in Area 89 a while ago. Your thanks honors me."

His tone became far more serious for the odd young man's next question. "As you rightly say, a sword is a tool of honor and justice. However, it is also a weapon. Its inherently lethal nature reminds me that sometimes restraint is required to see injustices properly righted. My work during the riots was one of those times, so I did not use my sword to its' full potential as a weapon, but relied on my hands instead."

None of that was a lie, and in fact Guls hadn't exactly used his full skill or power as a swordsman during the Belurel Riots, but it would also hopefully deflect the young warrior's attention away from the fact that despite his skill with it, Guls used his sword as a limiter that he was far more dangerous without. The fact that he had eventually fought with his bare hands at the time had more to do with ending the crisis decisively and with minimal loss of life than being forced to it out of desperation, but for the upcoming tournament it was better to keep the illusion that swordsmanship was the source of his power.

"It seems I'll be fighting the strange clown over there. I look forward to seeing what tricks he has in store and to seeing the rest of you battle."

"Ah! I apologize, how silly of me not to notice." Ultra-Dimension bowed a little as Guls commented on his reason for using the sword. "I often forget about the technological devices I use being unique to me, so natural their use has become."

"I have a device for reducing the lethality of my blade. Allow me to show you." Ultra-Dimension raised his left arm, and with his right hand, popped free a panel, the underside of the panel becoming a screen, while the revealed circuitry looked reminiscent of a keyboard. A few buttons were pressed. "If you're interested, I could try and manufacture a version for your blade, if you are willing to entrust it to me."

Towards the end of his statement, a high pitched, keen whistling noise could be heard before, with a resplendent crash, what resembled a somewhat long and thin bomb, almost like a missile, slammed through the roof, making a small circular hole before smashing into the floor, only the rear half above ground level.

Outside, the announcer could be heard yelling, "MY ROOF!?!" For those currently looking out the window at him, he was falling to his knees and clutching his hair in frustration, which luckily kept the microphone out of direct line of fire for his scream of despair.

Ultra-Dimension seemed to pause for a few moments. While his mask was as impassive as ever, one could almost imagine the being inside mulling over the implications of what he had just done. A few more buttons were pressed.

A few moments later, another missile slammed into the grass a few yards from the announcer. This time, the top of the missile, after it landed, opened up, revealing a neatly stacked and bound together pile of cash, and a display with the names of local emergency construction contractors.

"Er... Ahem, as I was saying...." Ultra-Dimension coughed slightly awkwardly before walking over to the missile in the room. He drew his blade dramatically, reacquiring his flair, before stabbing it into the missile longways so that the blade went into it like it was reentering its scabbard.

"Lock Acquired. Activating Super Galaxy Samurai Nebula Rebound System." A dispassionate female AI voice chimed in.

Ultra-Dimension ripped free his blade from the missile, tearing bits of it out, and his blade now had strange segmented devices attached. Almost like scales, or vertebrata in their segmentation, they were attached to the blade by magnetic clamps on the rearward edge of the katana, and could be seen to be able to fit together over the edge like beaks. The scales shifted back and forth experimentally once or twice, before sealing together over the blade, the seams glowing a sizzling neon green. "System Engaged."

It now resembled a practice sword or a sheathed blade more than a normal sword, and it was now very much blunt.

"The system protects the edge, and has a cushioning system in case it hits a target so hard that the blunt force trauma is deforming the flesh to a dangerous degree." Ultra-Dimension politely presented the blade hilt first, as though it still had an edge, to Guls for his inspection, if he so desired.

On one hand, Guls deception seemed to have fooled Ultra-Dimension completely. On the other hand, he had admitted to being a sword aficionado, or at least, close enough, to another sword aficionado.

Nel Lilac - PL: 250/300

“Why the hell wouldn't I? I mean-” A keen whistle interrupted Cade and the boisterous noise of the crowd all at the same time. A few stragglers left faint whispers but soon even they had quieted down.

Unlike the rest of them, Nel stood up from his seat and looked over towards the blocking summit of the amphitheater. The keen whistle only grew louder and louder, creating a tension in the air that as thick as gel. He narrowed his eyes, thinking that it'd give him a better chance of spotting whatever it was.

Then a flash of metallic zoomed by, Nel's head turned with its path until it sent hay from rest area and out onto the grassy area in front of it. It stuck out from the roof, the flames coming to a smoky stop. The crowd seemed to be hysterical over the missile, that was until another crashed down and revealed a cache of Zenni.

Then comical expressions of dropped mouths and bulging eyes were pointed towards it. Whoever dropped it off was sure rich but also very reckless, Nel had decided. He felt a tug on his orange vest. He looked down, smirked, and rubbed the back of his head and disbelief.

“Yo, is it over yet?” cried Cade, literal tears falling from his eyes.

“Yea man, it wasn't that bad. I think someone in the fighters area did it.”

Cade wiped his tears hastily before rising up and feigning bravery. “Uhh... yea, not bad at all.” He straightened out his black shirt and sat down quickly. “So what happened?”

“I don't know but I wanna find out,” Nel said, starting off from the seats and heading down the bleachers. The feeling was overwhelming now, all he wanted to do was get a peek inside, just see what it was like in the fighters area.

It'll only be a peek, he promised himself.

He walked around to the side of the building and lifted himself up so could see the inside. Fighters of different heights, shades, builds, and forms were inside. They all looked formidable and exciting. He grasped his heart as it sped from the anticipation.

“I wonder who's the strongest tho,” he asked aloud, knowing his small voice wouldn't travel through their own. All of them seemed strong but only one caught his eye. A green, giant man who was next to Jack, the current champ.

He chuckled lightly. “Oh man, if only I could compe-” Will of soul stopped him from completing that sentence. He fell to his bottom and brought his knees to his face, his jaw tense as he shook. “Dammit, try to be normal, Nel. You can do this! Fighting isn't everything!”

Zabura

Zabura was silent as he watched from a top of roof of one of the many buildings that littered the Budokai tournament, his arms were crossed almost in a form of agitation as he watched the various humans an other species alike mingle around loudly. They were like ants, all of them scurrying around unchecked, unmarked, doing as they pleased wherever they desired. It was obvious that to the demon King that this kind of freedom was not something that was seen everyday, at least not for him. In the Demon Realm such freedom did not even exist, you had your place, your level in life, and you were not allowed to move beyond that unless you were told too. Even Zabura had to deal with his role in the Demon Realm, he was not exempt from it, however his role was a lot harder then the rest. Most to none understood what being the Prince of the Demon Realm entailed, unlike the mass of Demons lumbering about, Zabura was never allowed even that amount of freedom, he was always being trained, tested, taught, hurt, such was the life when you were destined to be the new King of Demon Realm one day. He did not hate his life nor did he regret it, because to a Demon regret was an emotion that had no real place, and hate was just a form of crying for a Demon. None truly understood the nature of a demon, to these people he was but a monster at best, and perhaps in some ways he was, but things were different in Demon Realm then they are here, something he had definitively found out through his time here. The most annoying perhaps was the fact that unlike in the Demon Realm he was unable to achieve his full power in this place. Hell he could barely obtain even ten percent of his power here, this place was so full of light energy, there was dark of course but not nearly enough.

This was a problem in a way, not being to obtain his full power, however it was not a problem as of right now, it was not like any of these weak earthlings even posed even a little bit of a threat to him. His standing power was more then enough to deal with these... people... if it truly came down to it. However he could sense higher power levels hidden within this planet, this is what interested him the most, besides the real reason he had appeared at the tournament grounds this day. These power levels paled in comparison to what he hoped to obtain from this tournament, the only thing he truly cared about right now was finding out what had happened to Dabura, an seeming there seemed to be no real information he could possess from these people, then there was but one way... a wish from these mystical items that were said to be the prize of winning this tournament. He had come too late to qualify in the tournament but this made no difference to him, he would take by force if that was truly how it had to be, no one would stop him from obtaining the truth behind Dabura's disappearance.

For now however he would bide his time seeming he did not know where these mystical Dragon Balls were being held, so he would just have to wait an see for now. Zabura uncrossed his arms silently as he jumped from the top of the building and slowly made his way down to the ground. As his feet hit the cold cement his green cape billowed slightly behind him before he walked silently into the crowd of people all around. The stares he received were numerous as he walked almost two feet or more taller then everybody else, the looks of fear were obvious to him as a lot of these earthlings tried to avoid even getting near him none the less anything else. However this did not stop the numerous other earthlings from bumping into him as he was engulfed in a sea of people going in every direction. Zabura was not used to being touched or bumped into, consider him royalty if you like, but in his realm no demon dared to touch him even by accident, so it did not come naturally to him that these weaklings were bumping into him like he was just another person here. His frustration was evident soon enough as he was soon being crowded and blocked in by people all over the place. His anger at a peak Zabura built up energy in his hands, and then out stretching his arms, raw energy emitted from his finger tips as a fierce wind like gust hit both sides of crowded people. Almost instantly the crowd of people on both sides were blown slightly away from Zabura as they were knocked on top of each other. Zabura lowered his arms as he silently continued walking, the numerous people were now dazed slightly but not hurt, they would probably never even realize he had anything to do with the freak gust of wind, like it mattered to him anyways.

Eventually Zabura found himself wondering into the area that housed the main arena, like before the entire place was packing with people ready to watch the fighting. Zabura would want a close seat so he silently pushed his way through the crowd of people, making his way forward he found and empty seat near a couple earthlings, one in particular seemed a lot different from the other ones from his spiky hair, and he also had a sufficiently higher power level just from feel. Zabura turned his gaze on him just for a split second as the boy seemed to be leaving catching a glimpse of the boys bacl, his eyes glowing ever so slightly before he drew his attention back away towards the arena. Zabura crossed his arms silently as he stood at the rail watching the arena silently, however this did not last long before he heard a human voice talking towards him.

"Hey buddy, this is my seat, you gotta go somewhere else."

Zabura heard the nosily voice but did not turn or even acknowledge that he had heard it, he just kept his eye's on the ring, he was ever so slightly curious how strong these fighters were going to be, and he did not want to miss anything. The man beside him however did not relent, pushing his finger into his side the man spoke again.

"This is my seat man find your own."

The man poked Zabura a couple more times, Zabura did not turn his head, keeping his arms crossed he raised the hand near the man and pointed one finger up. Like before there was a gust of raw energy but just from his finger this time. The gust of energy hit the man head on, the man flew back idly as if he was flying away backwards and then disappeared with a yelp of surprise. Zabura lowered his finger idly as he kept his eye's trained on the ring, it would almost be time to begin.

As the large Namekian wasn't intent on conversing much, Jack Ryan decided to wander away and meet some of the other contestants. After all, the only one he knew was Teemo, and the two weren't exactly friendly toward each other. While Jack never really had any problems with him, Teemo never exactly appreciated his constant failures at Jack's own hands. Understandably it would be a bit difficult for the two to be friends. Waving the thought away, Jack noticed the sentai, Ultra-Dimension. For some reason, he felt like he had seen this guy from somewhere before today, and decided to investigate. On his way over to the group that formed around the eclectic samurai, a rocket crashed through the roof startlingly close to Jack, causing him to jump to the side in surprise.

As not only Ultra-Dimension but most of the fighters in the room barely acknowledged the sudden entrance by the rocket, Jack gulped back some fear. These guys, he began to think to himself. They didn't even bat an eye to that. This truly is a tough crowd. Jack briefly looked back to the windows, determining that the fighters over there didn't particularly care about the display either. After recomposing himself and letting out an exasperated sigh, Jack approached the fighters. "You all seem like a lively bunch," Jack spoke up, serving as his greeting to the group. "I'd like to welcome you all personally. We might be fighting in the tournament, but I like to think that it is healthy to be friendly." With that, he offered a toothy grin and a thumbs-up. To the educated person, this was a trained pose of his that he always used for televised interviews. Something that the media officials trained him to do, as before his smiles were considered awkward and forced.

Suito pushed past the spectators, a scowl across his face. He'd never been particularly good at concealing his emotions and today was certainly no exception. 5 minute. Five goddamn minutes! That was how late he'd arrived to the sign-up table. No matter what he sailor did, the sign-ups had closed and the selection process was underway, meaning Suito wasn't going to be participating in this World Tournament. His first tournament and he was out because he was late!
An involuntary growl escaped his lips causing spectators to dart out of his way. He exuded the aura of a man who was having a bad day to say the least. In his right hand, Suito carried a large paper bag with various foods poking from the top. Corn dogs, sushi, steaks and burgers and even a whole roast chicken were all piled in the bag. He was in a bad mood, and that was as good a reason as any to eat. In his left hand he carried a small cooler, inside were several kinds of sodas. Sugar and meat. If his mood was ever going to improve, those were the things that would help the most. Sure, there had been plenty of meat in the wilds when he'd been training, but these meats were seasoned. They had sauces, were battered or had mushrooms, garlic and onions mixed into the beef patty. These were the treats he'd missed during his year in the wild.

Stalking up the steps to a vacant seat at the edge of the stadium, Suito sat down with a grunt, placing the bag and the cooler at his feet and reaching in for a corn dog. On his right a young boy and who Suito assumed was his sister stared at him, intimidated. Reaching into the cooler, Suito pulled out a bottle of soda and handed it to the two with an exacerbated grin. The boy took the soda timidly, the young girl thanking him as they both opened the bottle and shared the drink. Suito may have been having a bad day, but there was no need to be a jerk about it and ruin the tournament for everyone else. As long as they didn't ask for any of his meat. Suito didn't share food.

David had to admit that Guls had brought up something he had never considered, namely that there were powerful fighter who had no interest in joining the tournament. Before he could reply though Ultra-Dimension interrupted the conversation. Not that David minded because thanks to that he learned that he was talking to a real hero. While he was curious about this whole "Green Swordsman" thing, he decided that if Guls wanted to keep it a secret he wouldn't go blabbing around.

While Ultra-Dimension was talking abut swords David secretly kept his eyes on Light, he had never seen a Majin before and while he didn't want to be rude he was curious. Luckily before he could make a fool out of himself a rocket landed in the middle of the room and while it didn't cause mass panic or anything, it did provide him with something to be interested in. However he had only been "studying" it for a few seconds when something much more exciting happened, the current champion apparently wanted to talk to them.

"Well, this got interesting, didn't it?" Light said to herself as the armor wearing guy showed off his technology by dropping non-explosive rockets in a couple spots while talking about his sword to the namekian, who seemed to be vaguely interested. Shortly after, the current champion meandered over, to which Light was indifferent to. After all, he wasn't even related to Mr. Satan, so she didn't really care.

She then noticed the sayan giving her glances from time to time, and since the samurai armor guy and the namekian were busy talking to one another, she decided to have fun with this. "Hey, like what you see? You keep giving me the eye." Light said to David, giving him a dismissive chuckle. She more or less ignored the current champion and his speech, dismissing him with a casual nod and wave, mentioning that whoever wins, wins.

Glacier was sitting in the crowd.wearing a green turban covering his horns and head. Also wearing sunglasses, a brown poncho and gloves to try to hide himself. Glacier is worried that someone will figure out his not from Earth. Although he saw the other odd looking folks; he was still not comfortable. Fearing someone might mistake him for his father. He came to Earth about two weeks ago when he found it to be the most suitable planet. He starts to eat his pop corn while watching the tournament. He waved his tail and accidentally hits a guy right by him with it. The guy stands up saying "Whats the big idea?". Glacier said "Oh, I am sorry. Sometimes my tail just has a mind of its own." He laughs and rubs the back of his head nervously.

Shady was paralyzed by fear after the rocket breached the roof. However, he shook himself back to sense when the champion approached

"Hi-ho, Mr. Champion Grizzfarb Sir! Friendly competition is good for the spirit. At least that's what the Violent Savior told my people long ago. In between dire prophecies that our entire race would be consumed."

There was much debate among the historians of his homeworld about the meaning of the Violent Savior's threats. Some believed that it referred to the coming Tuffles and Saiyans consuming Planet Plant in war. Others claimed it was the annihilation of the planet at the hands of Frieza's men. The one thing they agreed on was that the prophecy was metaphorical, and not (as the Western Heresy claimed) a threat to devour the entire species.

In the crowd, a hooded Kouta stood with his arms crossed, tapping his right index finger against his left bicep impatiently. It was evident that the demon hunter didn't really want to be here, in fact he hated the Budokai Tournaments, always seeing them as a waste of time. Still, he'd followed up on a lead that claimed there were demons at the Tournament, and so there he was, Kouta watching and waiting to see if any were indeed here to try something. Of course, the sheer noise and number of the crowds was irritating to say the least, as they were so loud he could barely hear himself think.

As time passed and introductions to the fighters were made, Kouta's gaze encircled the audience, rather than staying fixed on the ring or giant monitors like everyone else. The fights didn't interest him in all honesty, as he was here for his own mission. For the longest time, it seemed that nobody in the audience were suspicious or were worth looking into. Just when Kouta was about to give up on this lead and leave, he finally spotted him. A tall, red-skinned figure barged his way through the crowd, and Kouta narrowed his eyes in scrutiny. Yep, that was a demon if ever he saw one. But what was it doing here? Whatever their goal, it probably wasn't good. But should Kouta strike now? Doing so would disrupt the Tournament, and while he himself didn't really care, there were those who did care, and it would be best not to piss off a stadium full of people on top of the 16 fighters who were participating. Guess it'll have to wait. You got lucky this time, Demon.

Still, that didn't stop Kouta from staring intensely at the demonic being, determined to watch his every move and strike the very instant the creature presented itself as a threat. As if on cue, a human standing near it provoked the demon's attention and was sent flying by a gust of energy for his troubles. Thankfully, he was knocked in Kouta's general direction, who managed to catch the guy and put him down gently on the ground so he wasn't hurt. He fought the urge to launch an attack, knowing that now was a terrible time to be picking fights, "Grr... if it weren't for all the people I could just kill the damn thing and be done with it. Stupid tournament..." he muttered to himself, but all the while kept a steely gaze of distrust fixed squarely on the demonic figure. There was no way he was letting that... thing... out of his sight.

"Sorry about that, it's just that I have never seen a real life Majin before." David explained hoping that Light didn't feel offended by his staring. "Anyway earlier you wanted to know who we were fighting right? I got lucky and I get to fight a two times finalist namely that guy." Finally having spotted Teemo David pointed at the 6 foot orange alien."Not only that but I'm also in the first match of the round." It was clear he was really excited about the fight.
