While I love the character, it seems that your semblance is actually taken...by a character from the actual show, no less. Blake Belladonna uses something very similar called 'shadow'. Terrible luck chummy.

Lug, did you just seriously use the word "chummy" to refer to an actual person non-ironically? Oh how the great have fallen. tips hat, places rose on grave, etc. etc.

There are similarities between the two abilities that simply cannot be denied: moving extremely quickly while leaving behind an image of oneself. However, if the ability means that much to you, and is that quintessential to your character, I'll overlook their similarities. I pride myself on being a flexible man; there's no need to be cynical. @McFazzer, you bet! I'd be very interested to see this robot arm weapon.

I didn't know that the rules about Semblances were that strict. In my honest opinion, it was clear with my character that I'm not trying to make a clone of Blake's character and I was taking careful measures to avoid copying any existing RP or RWBY characters. So having part of it called a copy was a "WTF" moment for me. I don't like being confrontational, Scarlet's personality is actually a close match to my real-life personality, I just get extremely invested in my characters, which is why I only get into about 2 RPs a year, 3 tops. If you will still allow me to be a part of your RP, you can be assured that I am not trying to copy any character or their abilities (other than the 1st YT video I linked).

A good thing that I never called your character a 'copy' then. The only thing I'm strict about is being reasonable, which includes twisting my words. Of course I'll allow you to join if you're willing to.

The only unreasonable individual here seems to you, in that you're not looking at this rationally or with a level head. Take a step back for a moment and look at it from someone else's perspective or leave altogether. Simple as that. Your perspective of your own character is skewed... because it's your own creation (that's, sadly, how writing works), so maybe come back to it, then analyze and compare whilst trying to read it from a perspective other than your own. Then maybe you'll see what Lugubrious was trying to tell you. And please, crushed is a very dramatic word to use. Your character concept was merely set back a few paces and only requires a creative mind to twist and turn into something more unique. With the attitude you have in regards to changing something a GM requests of you, you're just going to hold yourself back further, especially if you continue with the attitude whilst tweaking your character. If you go in thinking you're making a second rate character, then you're going to create a second rate version of your previous character. So... don't go in thinking like that. Rather, think, "I'm gonna make him/her even better than before," and you'll have way more success and fun. Might even stumble on a gem that way. (Realize that a lot of great characters go through various iterations of themselves before the final product is churned out. Even then, they're technically unfinished characters because they have to go through their own development and growth before coming out as a fully recognized individual. If that's their endgame and if they're dynamic individuals as opposed to static, e.g. anti-heroes or straight to the core villains. *shrug*) And that's my cue to make my character. His combat arm is highly durable with immense grip strength. If grabbed by the wrist and a hidden switch pressed it detaches and transforms into a classical Long sword. When Victor presses his left fist into the right palm and twists the mechanical fingers clamp down and the prosthetic right arm covers his left, creating a Megaman style buster cannon (likes to keep this as a hidden surprise). **Specialty**: A showy front-line brawler that punishes anyone foolish enough to ignore him. While using his prosthetic arm Victor uses a high-flying grappler fighting style similar to a Luchadore. Using the Longsword Victor uses a high momentum style, using centrifugal force to add power to his slashes since he can't use his other arm to add cutting strength. Using the Mega Buster, Victor is less balanced than normal and as such tries to brace himself as much as possible. Victor can adjust the power and recoil of the buster, but he needs to be braced against something to use it's full power due to the recoil. **Semblance**: _Personal Space_ Projects a bubble of aura that grants Victor complete awareness of everything within it, allowing instantaneous reactions. **Personality**: Victor is a cheery guy who has trouble accepting help from others. He is friendly and socialises, but will never ask for help. He has a bit of a complex about proving that he is capable of doing things on his own due to his need for a prosthetic arm and having been pitied for it since he was young. **Color**: Vermilion **Emblem**: A shooting star **Appearance**: 170 cm with a runner's athletic build. His mechanical arm is a matte red with polished silver joints that catch the light. Navy-blue jeans, white belt, and orange sneakers complete his ensemble.

I'm genuinely relieved I have complete strangers to help defend me. Thanks for the support, guys. Stella, I didn't reject your character, I asked for a minor edit, and it should have been obvious from the way I'm conducting myself that I have a predilection to resolve all issues arising from characters quickly and politely. You seem grasped by the idea that I am being callous, judgmental, and unfair, but I have not heard such negativity from anyone else, and anyone can see that I haven't singled you out for abuse. I've asked several other people, like Scarifar, to make edits to their characters, and it's just fine. Unhappiness with a part doesn't negate the whole. That said, your own actions have made me exceedingly unhappy. If you can work yourself out of this funk, then there is no problem with your continued presence here. If you still think me, after reading all this, to be intolerant and condemnatory, perhaps you would be better suited somewhere else. @McFazzer, very nice. The Personal Space ability reminds me of Bridgett's old one, but since she is gone there is no need to look into it further. The guy who is generally upbeat but hides a powerful pride can be a major catalyst for character development. Perhaps you could expound further on his combat style or personality, but I have no qualms about accepting Victor as is. And remember, if you want me to make you a picture, more appearance description is better (like what color t-shirt, any designs, other facial features, shoes, legwear, neckwear, glasses or goggles, so on) @Prince, the double-wielding small weapons (with or without transforming) is pretty common. I'd be interested to see what you might come up with. I'll get back to you on new weapon ideas. Same for Seilber. @Backstory, yeah, I forgot to put that section in. We'll delve into our individual characters in the IC, and perhaps summarize on our sheets later for reference.
